Everything felt surreal, as if meeting and wearing a sentient fursuit wasn’t already. I looked up and down at my arms and legs, now being inside of her. I heard a giggle and felt a slight nudge between my legs.
“How do you feel?” Alex asked. Her mouth piece didn’t move, and yet I heard her voice perfectly clear. I ignored the logic of it and replied.
“Uh... weird.”
“How about now?”
I felt my ass get groped by something making me jump a bit, but put a faint smile on my face. It was squeezed and traced on while my vagina was touched and stroked on by the suit. I moan, enticing Alex to continue.
“Well?” she asked, again.
“G-good.” I choke. “How are you doing this?”
Her hand; my hand, controlled by Alex, went down and in between my legs and gripped. I felt sensations as if it was on my own skin, making me close my eyes and breathe slowly.
“Don’t worry about how I’m doing this. Just enjoy it, I know you need it.” Alex says, I’m assuming to be telepathically.
I look behind me and find my recliner to sit on, and lower myself onto it while Alex continued her massage.
“What do you mean?” I moan, closing my eyes again.
“I mean,” she says, “I know that your breakup with Jacob really hurt you, and that you’ve been feeling alone since.”
I immediately open my eyes and slightly leave my mouth agape at what I just heard. Jacob and I haven’t been together in months, and considering that I met this suit yesterday, I knew something was up.
Before I could intervene and say something, her mouth rig shoved itself deep into my mouth which silenced me, and our right hand made a “wait” notion and met at our face.
“Hold on now,” she said, assuringly. “before you say anything, just know that I only know this because your apartment is flooded with pictures of the two of you. It doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together here.”
“How’th you nuh we broke up?” I mumble.
“I read his goodbye letter that he wrote to you in your cabinet.”
“Why’th you go through my thuff?”
“I don’t sleep. Or at least, it’s optional. I chose not to last night, considering I was already sleeping when you found me. Plus, I got bored. What’d you want me to do, watch your shitty Netflix shows?” Alex said, now pulling the rig out of my mouth.
I thought about what she said. Something felt strange about having my personal life revealed to a “friend” I had just met yesterday. And if she went through my cabinets, she must’ve saw all of the countless love letters I wrote to him that he sent back.
I felt my stomach drop. My eyes widen, then shut as I breathe in slowly. The secret I had been hiding was finally revealed.
“So, I guess you know everything, huh?” I say, quietly.
There was a small pause, then the massaging that had been going on had ceased and Alex sat us up straight. Her paw rested on our chest.
“Listen, I didn’t mean to intrude on your privacy, and I’m sorry if you’re hurt. I shouldn’t have just gone through your stuff, but; y’know, I did because I thought we were friends when you took me here.”
I reopened my eyes slowly and remained quiet. I hid all of those letters away from everybody’s house visited and even myself, to maintain my happiness. Even remembering our relationship would kill me, and I had kept it hidden, until now.
“I-I need some fresh air.” I say, now looking for the zipper.
She took control of our arms and fumbled for the same thing.
“Uh, sure. Lemme get this down...” Alex said, now unzipping her back area. I slowly took a step back out of the suit, and walked to my window which faced the city. Opening the window, I heard Alex’s zipper go back up and hear soft footsteps behind me, but then they retreated.
I stared at the horizon of the city, now smelling wet concrete from the gentle falling snow. The sun was covered by passing clouds, with just some light glimmering through openings which gleamed on the quiet city. It looked beautiful, and was definitely a sight to be shared. Alex stayed behind me, however, and I didn’t have the courage to break the silence.
I’m sure she felt guilty, and I didn’t want her to, despite my overwhelming anxiety that she found out about my breakup with Jacob. The thought of her knowing about all of the letters made me uneasy once again.
After a long moment of silence, it was finally broken.
“Hey,” Alex said. “I can relate with you, believe it or not.”
I turn my head looking at my shoulder, still standing next to the window.
“When my original owner, uh, Angela, found out that I gained sentience, it wasn’t the reaction I was hoping for. It was far from it.”
Alex looked down and leaned against the back of the couch.
“It’s not like I asked to be alive, I just did. And I’m still unsure how I did, but all I knew when I became alive was that Angela loved me, and loved wearing me. And so did I. At least, until she found out I could walk and talk.”
I now faced her completely, and some of the previous tension I had was relinquished.
“I kept it to myself for some time, and went completely limp whenever she was around. I wanted to surprise her in a special way, and prepared a special meal for her and even baked a cake, but it didn’t matter to her. I remember the look on her face when I finally revealed that I was alive. It was completely opposite of what I expected. And what followed, the yelling, crying, begging to be left alone, pleading, all of it made me realize that I had broken both of our hearts. I begged with her for hours, and no matter how much I tried to tell her that I was no harm to her and that I wanted to be her friend, she would sob in front of me and plead that I left her alone, while she huddled in a corner.”
Contrition.
“When I finally left, I was broken. I only saw her happier when I went towards her door and left. When I walked away, I heard the lock click and her running in her apartment.” she said, “It was late at night when all of the happened, and I trudged through this snow towards the city, getting met with gazes from people passing in their cars, passerbys in the street, and people pointing from their windows. I crossed an alleyway and stopped, then rested by a dumpster for a while before deciding to sleep.”
I caught my eyes tearing a bit after hearing Alex’s tone change from happy and cheerful to sulking and being hurt. She clearly was in pain.
“When you found me, I woke up after you lifted me up and walked me back to your apartment. I stayed limp because I was afraid of scaring you, too. And when you went to bed, I quietly looked around your apartment and that’s when I found Jacob’s letters, and yours.”
She paused for a moment then looked up at me.
“I figured that when you brought me here, you cared about me in a certain way, because you took me in and out of the harsh weather. I didn’t want to frighten you by springing to life all of a sudden, so I tried a more casual way of talking to you. It still didn’t work, because you were still afraid and wanted me to leave. I was confused, because I figured you could use the company, but, when you came back and asked me to stay, I knew that pain you were going through. I sensed it.”
We maintained eye contact and I gave an affirming nodding motion, to say that I understood what she was saying. Her and I have both been through the same boat. Stepping away from the window, I approached the couch and near Alex.
“Thank you, Alex.” I say in a low voice, “Thank you for coming back. I appreciate it. And I’m sorry that I told you to leave, I-I didn’t mean it in hindsight.”
Alex looks down again.
“I understand. I’m sure a living fursuit would be scary to any human, so I won’t hold that above your head.” she says, now in a slightly more bright voice.
I smile and put my arm around her neck in a tight embrace. She reached out and hugged me, which didn’t really surprise me. I feel intense warmth and comfort once again, but this time, I felt unusually turned on. Alex giggled as I slid my hands down to her curves and gripped her sides.
“C’mon,” Alex said, “let’s finish what we started.”
