I spent the week before Angela’s six-month anniversary pondering what exactly I should do about it.  I also spent most of that time half male and half female.  Shelly had cleared the way for me, so there was little enough comment about it at work.  Tom glowered a few times, but had given up on trying to influence me.  My boss, Rani, liked the look and seemed to be considering trying it out herself.  We talked about it off and on, and she made an appointment at one of the local alteration clinics.

I turned Angela back to human on Wednesday, after Janis had had enough human time and asked to join Katya in the wardrobe for a while.  I asked if she’d had fun as panties, and she grinned.  “You’re spending the weekend recreating it.”

I laughed.  “I suppose that solves the problem of what to give you for our six month anniversary.  Shall I have myself wrapped up in pretty paper?”

“Oooh, yes please,” cooed Angela, clapping her hands eagerly.

Angela had an afternoon shift at Black Velvet on Friday, so I dashed back home at lunch to summon Janis.  I tasked her with shopping for suitable wrapping materials for a very special pair of panties that was to be my six-month gift to Angela.  Janis pouted a little.  “Kat and I didn’t get six-month gifts.”

“You wanted something other than time as a dress?” I asked.

Janis laughed, and shook her head.  “Nah, that was perfect.  And the sex was fantastic too.”

When Angela returned from work she found a gaudily beribboned package waiting for her in Janis’ hands.  “Oooh, did he go for it?”

“She, and yes.”

“She?”

“Wanted to be deep into female mindset for this.  You’ll see.”

Angela tore open the wrapping and grinned at the sight she found within.  As she picked me up she exclaimed, “Crotchless panties?  Ooooh, we’re going to have such fun.”

“You and Kat will, I’m sure.”

“Better and better.  How’d you get her to agree?”

“Are you kidding?  Getting a chance to play with D like that?  She jumped at it.  Go get undressed, and I’ll summon Kat.”

I distantly heard Kat’s voice over Angela’s cooing.  A moment later I heard Janis squeak in surprise.  Her exclamation cut off in a way I’d become quite familiar with – she’d been transformed as well.  Kat had his standards, after all.

I learned later that Janis spent the night as the camisole.  The sex was even more vigorous than I’d expected, Kat and Angela really got fired up.  And through it all... I was the panties, right in the middle of it.  A little part of my mind still tried to object, but the rest of me was having a grand old time, and that voice petered out and went silent soon enough.

Then there was the silence of the night, cuddled warm and damp around Angela’s hips.  A lovely handwash woke me up, though I drifted back to sleep as I dried.  I had barely enough sense of self to wonder how long they meant to keep me this way, but not enough to worry about it.

Another round of lovemaking led to another hand-wash, and after that one I ended up human once more.  A transformative wibble washed through my lower extremities, and I glanced down to see that they’d become masculine.  “Mmm, my favourite.”

Angela giggled.  “Mine too.  How do you feel?  You spent a lot of time awfully close to the action.”

I pulled her into a hug and kissed her ferociously.  “Would do again, absolutely.  Especially with Kat.  Woof.”

“Yeah.  If Kat was willing to stick around for more than a day or two at a time, I’d marry him and wear you as the honeymoon lingerie.”

I giggled.  “We’ll have two weddings and a handfasting to arrange.  I’ll gladly be the lingerie after whichever one you like.”

Angela purred as she considered it.  “After the handfasting.  That’s more about the others, so we should be the ones getting worn that night.”

“I like the sound of this plan.”

“So you’ll marry us?” Angela asked, eagerly.

“I...”

She pouted at my hesitation.  “Don’t tell me you’re still stuck on the year thing.”

“I mean, realistically it’ll be months and months before we can get everything arranged anyway...”

“Exactly!  So why are you stressing out about this?”  Angela took my hands, and tugged at my fingers until my fists unclenched.

“I don’t know, exactly.  I don’t... I don’t really trust my judgement.  Got married for stupid reasons, trying not to repeat my old mistakes.”  I sighed gustily.  “And stumbling into new ones, of course.”

“Do you think marrying us would be a mistake?” asked Angela with a wounded tone.

“No!  God no.  It’s the hesitating that’s the mistake this time.  I just don’t trust myself.  The promise was about giving myself time to be sure.  To see all of you, the good and the bad.”

Angela sighed.  “Haven’t you already seen me at my worst?  I’ve certainly seen you at your most obsessive.  Well, not seen you exactly.  Been worn by you...”

I chuckled ruefully.  “Do I still need to apologize for forgetting you were panties for a week?  Because I get the distinct impression you’d love it if I did that to you again.”

Angela nodded, bright eyed.  “May I collude with Janis to make that happen sometime?”

“Does it fit within the rules?” I asked in turn.

“Are we still using those?”

I nodded.  “They can get changed over time, if we bump into limits.  But I should like to keep them.  Maybe they can be part of our vows...”

Angela shook her head emphatically.  “No.  You can refer to them, but we’re not quoting them in front of friends and family.”  She took my hands in hers, teasing them into unclenching again.  “How soon?  Just... give me some idea when.  Please?”

“I’m... not ready to ask quite yet.  Close?  I don’t know exactly what I’m waiting for.  Clarity, I guess.”

“Hm.”

She let the matter drop, then, but I could see something was churning in her mind.

I restored the others that evening so we could have a nice family dinner together.  Katya didn’t stay human past dessert, and asked Janis to change her.  Once she’d turned Katya into the camisole she locked the box on to me.  “Any last words?”

“I have to work in the morning.”

“Until then...”  She clicked the button, and I felt myself diminish into wisps of fabric.  “I want to try those new panties.  Angie?”

“Works for me.  C’mere.”

When I came home Friday night, I was a little disappointed that there was nobody to greet me.  I saw why after a moment.  Three identical red dresses were hanging in the display wardrobe.  Curiously, there were also three cards lined up on the coffee table like a row of pup-tents.  I strode closer to them, and saw they were numbered one through three.

I picked up the first one, and glanced inside it.

“Dear David,” it read.

“I would love to be a ribbon, veil or garter for our weddings.  But most of all, I would love to finish up as a gorgeous wedding dress, to be on proud display during the ceremony and afterward.  Give me the full year, and Kat will make your dearest dreams come true once it is over.  Every wicked diminishment you could wish for will be yours.

“Love, Katya.”

I held the card against my chest as I shuddered, imagining the sort of things Kat’s offer might entail.  “Oh, love.  What a promise.”

I set Katya’s card down to pick up the second and read it.

“Dear David,

“I love you, and will follow wherever you lead.  You lifted us up from a miserable life, and the last six months with you has been the best time of my life.  I will gladly be your blouse, or your shirt, a woman or a pillow.  Especially the pillow.  I would love to be a mother to your children.

“I know that in the eyes of the state, you marrying Angela will give her greater standing.  I also know that in your eyes we will all be equally your timeshare wives, each with her own strengths and desires.  We will find a way to make it work, we will communicate clearly and accept each other’s desires.  And I tell you this – being part of your wedding to Angela will make me deliriously happy.

“Love, Janis.”

I smiled and nodded at the card.  “Always the wisest of us.  You have me almost persuaded.  I know we can make it work.”

I set down Janis’ card and picked up the last.

“Dear David,

“Stop worrying.  We have been amazing together, and will continue to be amazing.  I love everything about you, not just your ability to be man and woman at the same time in a way that still makes me weak in the knees.  That’s lust, and I know it’s lust, and love is so much more, more than I could ever have hoped for.  I love you.

“If you also love me, that should be enough, but I have seen in your eyes that it is not.  I could wait patiently for you to go through your allotted year, but... I am not a patient woman.  So I present you this argument.  Collectively, the three of us have been with you for a year and a half.  Please don’t keep us waiting.

“Will you marry us?

“Love, Angela.”

I could do nothing but chuckle.  “Fine.  You have found the argument that unlocked the shackles my mind was keeping around my heart.  Yes, and yes, and yes.  I still don’t know just how it will work, but I will marry all of you.”

There was no cheering of course.  I strode to the display case where my three sweeties were hanging, and took up the sleeve of each in turn to kiss it.  Then I frowned at a thought.

“How did all three of you end up on hangers?  You would need an accomplice, but who?”

I was startled to hear clapping from the hallway.  “Sis figured you’d work it out,” said Lena.  “She hoped the argument would work.  So you will marry them?”

“Yes.  Tell your parents, I suspect we’ll be too busy... what are you doing?”

Lena held the box in her hand, and I could see that she’d locked it on to me.  “There are four hangars.”

I grinned.  “Ah.  I have work...”

“I know the rules,” she interrupted.

I felt the rush of fabric overtaking my limbs and my smile grew ever wider until it was consumed.

Lena hung me up in the display wardrobe with my sweeties, then closed the door.  She made herself comfortable on the couch, watching some kind of romantic movie on the TV.

Hanging there with my loves, I found myself buoyed by their presence, as if I could actually feel their love for me.  We were close enough together to touch, but there was nothing to stir our fabric... as a human it would have been maddening, but I soon accepted that I was a dress, blisfully intermingled with my kin.

Lena restored all of us in time to make dinner on Saturday.  We had a lovely time talking, though it mostly turned toward plans for the wedding.  Once the meal was over, she presented us with a courier parcel and told us she wanted to be shipped home to her husband, overnight express.  She had the next week off, and hoped that Henry would make very good use of her in that time...  So we turned her into a toy, and sent her off.  If the local transformation clinic proved unable to change her back as she’d hoped, I figured we could drive up there on the weekend.

Once the package was safely on its way, I returned to the apartment to find all three of my loves waiting on the couch.  I went to a knee in front of them.  “I’m afraid I don’t have rings to give you just yet.  Can we go shopping for them next weekend?”

“Oooh, can I be Janis’ ring?” asked Katya, and we all laughed.

“Wouldn’t you rather be a dress?”

“I want to be her ring for a while to try it out.”

I agreed to Katya’s idea, then Janis suggested that a timeshare engagement ring felt appropriate.  Whichever of them was human at the time would wear it.  “And when all three of you are human?”

Janis shrugged.  “How long is that ever the case?  Look at Katya, you can tell she’s eager to become a dress again.”

“And Katya wants the ring scanned anyway...  So we could make duplicates if needed.  Might be tricky to get one that’s the right size for all of you.”

“Resizable rings exist,” noted Angela.  “Not sure if we can get a resizable engagement ring, but we could look.”

“Pity all the good jewelry stores will be closed tomorrow.  Next Saturday?” I asked.

“Aww, I don’t want to wait that long to be a ring,” pouted Katya.

Janis had some jewelry she’d kept after the move, so she dug out one of her favourite rings and offered it up as a temporary solution.  Katya studied the silver band with its big sparkly (and fake) gems, then grinned and agreed.

We left her that way until we could shop for rings the following Saturday.  Janis stayed human for half the week just so Katya could get some proper wear time.

When we turned Katya human so she could go to the jewelry stores with us, she acted dazed for a while, and had some difficulty seeing.  Her mind had gotten used to seeing through the facets of the gems, and it took her a few hours to adapt back to normal vision.  It took the promise of lunch at a favourite restaurant to keep her human.

I asked her if she preferred being a ring or a dress after a week to figure it out.  Katya felt that both had advantages.  The big advantage to being a ring was that she could see much more clearly once she’d adapted to the faceted view.  She hadn’t been able to feel as much, other than the warmth of Janis’ hand, but getting worn all the time was nice.

When she saw the diamond in the ring that we finally settled on, Katya grew eager to try out the new ring, and was disappointed to find it would take a couple of weeks to get a custom, resizable version made.  She insisted on staying as a dress for the entire wait.  While Janis was a little disappointed at that, she agreed that it would be a good idea for Katya to “work up to” her planned one year stay as a wedding dress by staying in dress mode for longer and longer stretches.

Waiting on the ring was hardly the only wedding preparation to be done, of course.  I was on the phone with both Angela’s parents and my own fairly regularly as we started to work on a schedule and dates.  The plan that evolved was to start things off in Germany with the ‘formal, official’ wedding, then fly to Canada for a slightly less formal but still official one there.  The hand-fastings with Janis and Katya would follow, one in my hometown, one in Janis’.

We were still working on the plans a month later when Christmas rolled around.  I’d booked my flight home before I even met them.  They were all eager to meet my family, so I packed them all in my carry-on and headed home.

I was... less sanguine about how my family would react.  It was one thing to talk about this whole crazy deal on the telephone with my mother, but quite another to show up at their door with three women in tow.

Of course, that wasn’t how it played out despite all my worries and planning what to say.  My parents met me at the airport, and short-circuited all my plans when Dad asked, “Where are your friends?”

I would have liked to just calmly pat my carry on.  I did half-manage it, just with a lot of stammering through a half-explanation first.  The wait for my suitcase to emerge from the carousel seemed interminable, but soon after that we were in their car and heading home at last.  We were halfway back when I remembered that I’d intended to rent a car at the airport.

Dad told me not to worry, he’d made sure my old car still worked, and had picked up a temporary licence for it to cover my visit.  I thanked him for taking care of it.  It was only a two-seater, but I figured with the box we could work around that.  Unfortunately, I mused that out loud and started the discussion about how all my sweeties were in the carry-on bag sitting beside me.

So I told the ten minute version of how I’d ended up with a Clarke’s Law bit of technology that let me turn them into clothing, and how they seemed to enjoy it.  When asked how I knew they enjoyed it, I admitted I’d spent some time under its effects.  I danced around a lot of what we’d gotten up to while trying to make sense of how I’d ended up living with three women...  Neither of them called me on my omissions, but I got the sense they were guessing a fair bit of it even so.

Once we were home, Dad proudly showed off my old car – he’d even washed and waxed it, so the sleek little thing gleamed.  I grinned to see it.  My lease in Germany was a more powerful car, but I still had a fondness for the cute little convertible.

We went into the house and I summoned out Angela so she could meet my parents.  Thankfully I’d thought to change them all while dressed, avoiding an embarrassing repeat of the incident with Angela’s parents.  My mother cooed over Angela’s engagement ring, of course, and that was the focus of the discussion until I transformed Janis and Katya from underwear to women.  Katya only stayed long enough for pleasantries, then insisted on becoming a copy of the engagement ring so Janis could wear it.

“She really is keen on not being human, huh?” asked my father.

“Yeah.  Usually she likes to be clothes, but she says being a diamond is pretty awesome.  She can see out of the facets, and the diamond is big and clear enough that she can see very well.”

“Would that apply to gemstones sewn into a dress?” asked my Mother, who was already aware of Katya’s plans for the wedding and after.

My eyes widened.  “That’s brilliant!  We’re still hunting for the right dress, and... now we have a new constraint.  Yay.”

Angela chuckled.  “I’m not that picky.  It just has to be... right.  We could get a few diamonds added to the neckline just for Katya’s enjoyment, no matter what dress I find.”

That led to promises of trips to bridal stores around town, in and among all the other Christmas festivities.  It was getting late by then, and I still hadn’t checked into our hotel – I had no desire to sleep under my parents’ roof with my sweeties, and my brother and his wife would be using their main guest bedroom in any case.

When I returned to the car I chuckled.  “Oh dear, only two seats.  Which of you gets to be my driving scarf?”

“Me, me, pick me!” cheered Janis.

We didn’t have a scarf scanned, so I turned her into one of the dancing silks and tied her loosely around my neck.  It was far too cold to take the top off, so there was no risk of her fluttering off in the wind.  The drive to the hotel didn’t take long.  Once we arrived, Angela helped with my carry-on bag while I took the suitcase from the trunk.  We checked in without difficulty, and made our way to our room.  “Shall I restore the others?”  I asked the moment the door closed.

Angela shook her head and pushed me to the bed.  The lovemaking that followed was frenzied and intense, and by the time we were done our clothes were scattered across the room.  Even the silk scarf had been discarded and left lying, unused.  “Wow.  Where did that come from?”  I asked with a grin.

Angela snuggled against my side like a contented cat.  “Half a day in a suitcase.  The moment you restored me I wanted nothing more than to pounce.  Couldn’t with your folks there, so the pressure built up...”

“Mmm.  Too much?”

Angela sighed softly and nuzzled against my side.  “Nope.  Not enough.  Go girly for me.  All the way.”

I grabbed for the box and locked it on to myself, then handed it to her.  “You do it.”

Angela smirked.  “Might turn you into a toy and get Janis to fuck me with it.”

“You might at that.”

Her grin broadened, and I felt a familiar diminishment into slick wriggliness.  It was a very good night.

*** *** ***

My parents asked why I was grinning so much when I arrived the next day.  I shook my head and declined to answer.  I offered to help around the house getting ready for Christmas dinner, but my mother claimed she had things well in hand, and suggested I show Angela the sights.

We did that for a while, then returned to the hotel to get dressed.  I even got Katya to spend a little time human to do Angela and Janis’ makeup, before turning her and Janis into matching earrings.  I restored them once we got to my parent’s place, much to the amazement of my siblings.

That led to another round of storytelling, though my attempts to keep the weirdest bits out of it were foiled by Katya, of all people.  She delighted in adding back the salacious details, and teased me about leaving out the “best bits”.  Worse, she promised to meet up with my sister later in our stay and give her “all the juicy details”.

Dinner was a convivial affair around a crowded table.  Luckily, Katya did not add ribald tales to the mix.  Both she and Janis answered questions about their own families, though Katya admitted little other than they didn't get along and she had no desire to see them again.  I promised we’d get to see Janis’ family at the handfasting, and as part of other trips home.  I hadn’t been able to change my tickets for this trip, but it turned out that a layover in Janis’ hometown didn’t add to the cost of tickets.

That of course turned to discussions of wedding plans which dominated the rest of the meal.  When we retired to the living room to admire the tree, caroling displaced talk of the wedding.  We had a lovely night.

On the way home Angela and Janis called scarf before Katya did.  When we got to the room I asked what Katya wanted to do.  She hugged me tight and told me my family was lovely.  I told her that next year she’d be part of the family and she shook her head.  She was determined to spend next Christmas as a wedding dress on display.

“You’ll still be part of the family, no matter what your shape,” I reassured her.  We cuddled for a long time after that, then went to bed and slept.

Katya’s coffee meetup with my sister was two days later.  She insisted on bringing Daffodil along, which I reluctantly agreed to.  I needn’t have worried, my sister squeed delightedly at the chance to meet my girl self.

I got talked into showing up for the next day’s wedding dress shopping as Daffodil, and was surprised at how much more fun it made the trip.  Part of that was letting myself get “persuaded” into trying on a few dresses myself.  None of the floofy confections called to me, but there were some sleek silk dresses that I quite liked.  Afterward, Katya teased me about turning me into one of them and... she didn’t elaborate in front of my mother but her wicked grin left me blushing brightly.

“I thought you were the one that loved being a dress,” my sister asked Katya.

“They all love it,” replied Katya.  “David’s just too responsible to stay changed for long.  And spending so much time as a dress has made me very good indeed at making it fun for them when I wear them.”

My sister wondered aloud about what it was like and Katya pounced.  Katya’s extravagant promise soon led to plans for dancing that night... with my sister as her dress, and Angela as Janis’.  She looked dazed after we’d gotten back home and changed her back.  All she said before I left was that I was very lucky indeed.  To which I could only agree with a broad grin.

So emboldened I decided to show my true self at dinner on the last night of the trip.  I wore my favourite dress, cut to flatter my masculine hips and legs.  My mother looked a little surprised to see me like that then got a speculative look on her face.  “You’d look sharp in a silk blouse over tuxedo pants.”

I grinned and thanked her.  I liked the idea, and promised to wear it for the handfasting.  Mom pointed out the interfaith chapel would not have trouble with me showing up as my “true self”.  I mulled it over then agreed... to much cheering from the others, and my sister.  I did not think the German church we’d chosen would be so sanguine about it, but I liked the idea of starting the proceedings as I’d begun, and ending as I wished to be.

My sister drove me to the airport the next day.   She shook her head in wonder at my carry-on full of my sweeties.  “I don’t really see the appeal, but I could put up with it for the cheap flight.”

“No leg cramps is a bonus.”

“I bet.  Think you’ll ever figure out how to turn people into centaurs?”

I grinned at that.  She’d loved horses for her entire life.  “If I do, I’ll be sure to get you in as a beta tester.”

She hugged me tight.  “You’re the best.”
