“Are you sure?” asked Angela for what felt like the hundredth time.

“I’ve driven halfway across Germany.  We’re currently parked in your parents’ driveway.  Yes, I’m sure.  I promise no teasing about the dress or about Daffodil.  I’ll be on my best behaviour... until we get to the hotel, anyway.”

Angela growled softly.  “Good.”  She still didn’t get out of the car, so I got out first and walked around to her side to open the door for her.  She smiled her thanks, putting so much into that smile, and led the way to the door.

We were met by a bouncing bundle of energy.  “Zeph, you’re here!  You’re here!”  The woman addressing us looked like a slightly younger version of Angela, and was at least as excited as the dachshund cavorting behind her.

“David, this is my sister Yelena, or Lena for short.  Lena, this is David.  He’s a sweetie, but don’t abuse his patience too much, please?”

Lena mock-curtsied at me.  “Pleased to meet you.  C’mon in, Mom’s in the kitchen.”

I followed her through the ornately carved wooden door and down a hallway lined with portraits.  “Who are all these people?”

“Oh, various aunts and uncles and grandparents and cousins,” replied Lena with a dismissive wave.  “There’s a huge family tree diagram in the library.  Mom’s a nut for it all.”

“And you don’t care?” I asked, earning myself a dark look from Angela.

“It’s nice to see the cousins, but...” Lena shrugged.  “Does it matter who my seven-greats grandfather was?”

“I don’t know much about my great grandparents.  One day you’ll be glad of it.”

“When I’m older,” said Lena with a shake of her head.  “I’ve been hearing that forever.  I’m twenty three!  How much older do I need to be?”

“I don’t know.  It’s more the sort of thing one misses when one realizes one doesn’t have it, I guess.  That said... My uncle made a really comprehensive book about my Mom’s side of the family.  I’ve never more than glanced through it.  So...”  I shrugged.

Lena started down the hallway again, and soon we were in a spacious kitchen.  The stove looked like a modern gas range, but much of the rest felt almost... rustic.  Lots of stone, lots of wood.  I smiled at the sight.  “How charming.”

A matronly woman grinned to hear it.  “Thanks.  My grandmother made most of it, I’ve just... spruced it up a bit here and there.”

“I suspect she’d have loved to have a stove like that.  Hi, I’m David.”  I held out a hand to her.

Angela’s mother wiped her hands on her apron and shook my hand.  “Zephyr hasn’t told me much about you.  You’re treating her right, hmm?”

“Best I know how.  Mistakes have been made, but I do try to learn from them.”

She eyed me critically.  “And just what are your intentions with her, hmm?”

I glanced over at Angela.  “Keep making each other happy, and see how it goes.”

Angela grinned at me.  “Good answer.  David’s a sweetie, Ma.  No need to grill him.”

“Hah.  Wait until your father gets home.”

Angela shook her head.  “He better not be mean to my sweetie.”

We were soon shooed out of the kitchen so that work on dinner could continue without distraction.  Lena trailed along behind us as Angela gave me a quick tour of the house.  Both her old room and Lena’s had been converted.  Hers was a guest room done in aggressively bland colours, and Lena’s old room had become a sewing room, with fabric neatly stacked and a large table with several different sewing machines on it.

“So you’ve moved out as well?” I asked as Lena showed off the room.

“Didn’t Zeph say?  I got married four years ago.  Hubs couldn’t make it, sadly.  Big project at work, you know how it is.”

I chuckled ruefully.  “All too well.  Fortunately my new boss is more accommodating.  Of a lot of things, really.”

“Ooh, Zeph has told me some stories that I didn’t really believe.  Something about working as a girl?  You don’t have the sort of face or frame for cross dressing well, so what’s up?”

I glanced at Angela.  “I suppose she’ll want a demonstration.”

“That’s more than half of why we brought the box.”

“I thought it was to show your parents...”

Angela shook her head.  “I want them to know, but...”

“Know what?” asked Lena eagerly.  “What are you talking about?  Zeph’s been super mysterious about this box thing.”

I shared one more glance with Angela, who nodded.  “Alright then.  I have recently acquired access to... well, magitech, more or less.  A tool that lets me change people partially or fully into other things or other genders.  If you’d be so kind as to show off Daffodil, Angela?”

Angela pulled the box out of the oversize purse she’d brought along just for the purpose.  “Not something more fun?”

I raised an eyebrow.  “Such as?”

Angela pressed the button and the world slithered away from me as my body whispered from flesh to silk.  I tried to be annoyed with her for turning me into what felt like my favourite fabric form, the camisole.  Lena’s excited squealing made it pretty clear my sweetie had made the right call to convince her sister that the box was indeed very real.

I heard Lena ask if she could try “it” on, though the distraction of being called an object so quickly made me miss Angela’s reply.  Almost-familiar hands picked me up and fluttered me about, and I could clearly hear Lena giggling about it.  She sung a little song about how I was a very good camisole and just like that I was an object.  Settling about the warm curves of a body felt like coming home.

A moment later, someone else came home and called out.  I was unceremoniously removed and soon I was writhing my way back to human shape.  Lena was watching my reversion with starry eyes.  “That is soooo coooool!”

I shook my head to clear out the cobwebs.  “You didn’t let her wear me, did you?” I asked.

Angela shook her head.  “I remembered the rules.  May I let her wear you later?”

“Talk later, Dad’s home,” said Lena before I could formulate an answer.

I waited while Angela put her dress back on, then we headed back to the kitchen.  “Daddy, this is my sweetie David.  David, my father.”

I greeted him with a handshake, and his grip was as solid as my own father’s though he did not try to press on into a testing handshake.  Something about my own grip must have satisfied him, as I saw a bit of a twinkle to his eye.  “Thanks for dragging my wayward daughter ‘halfway across Germany’.  How was the drive?”

“I love the Autobahn.  Still a little paranoid about cars flying by me at three hundred, mind you.”

He laughed.  “That paranoia will keep you alert.  They know what they’re doing.”

“Yeah, but cars aren’t designed to keep you safe at impact speeds that high.”

That led into some general discussion about cars and relevant design factors.  Angela’s father worked for a company that supplied parts to a variety of German auto makers.  My engineering background let me keep up with him somewhat, especially as the company I worked for made some of the CNC machines he used.

The conversation continued partway into dinner, until Angela’s mother chided us for talking business at the table.  I of course apologized immediately.  Angela rolled her eyes and used that to bring up that I was Canadian, not American.  Her parents both smiled at that comment, so apparently that was a win.

Unfortunately, I slipped and referred to her as Angela while relating a heavily expurgated tale of one of our visits to Apparitions.  “Angela?” asked her father.  “Why do you keep calling her that?”

I stammered out an explanation about how nobody used their real names at Apparitions, and how Angela had come to like the one that a friend had given her there.  Angela rolled her eyes at my horrible handling of it.  “It’s not that bad.  I never much liked Zephyr, and the whole reverse alphabetic name thing you had going was silly.  While I haven’t formally changed it to Angela, I’m... considering it.  I like it.  Especially when he says it.”

My blush deepened dramatically and I ducked my head toward my plate.  I’d eaten rather quickly, and there was little enough to distract me there.

“More mashed potatoes?” Angela’s mother asked into the ensuing silence.  I agreed, and accepted another slice of the roast to go with it.  I demurred several other offers, as apparently the whole “offer three times” thing my grandmother used to do was alive and well here.

When Lena piped up with, “More silk?” I laughed.  Angela glared at her, but then her face cracked into a smile as well.  “Brat.”

“Aww, you missed all this.  Admit it.”

Angela sighed and nodded.  “Yeah.  The whole ‘I’m gay, no you’re not’ thing shouldn’t have driven me halfway across the country.  I should...”  She looked over at me.  “Can we come here more often?  It wasn’t that bad a drive...”

“Weekly would get challenging, but I’m sure we could manage once a month.”

“Yay!” cheered Lena.

“That would be nice,” added their mother.  “I’ve missed you, Ze... Angela.”

Angela’s grin at that correction made the whole trip worthwhile.  Her father’s glower, on the other hand...

“Zephyr’s a perfectly good name.  Why change it?” he gruffly demanded.

Angela shrugged, and replied lightly, “It doesn’t fit me well.  You picked it before you’d ever met me.  Is it a surprise it doesn’t fit?”

He grumbled and looked away.  “I guess not.  Not like you don’t have a few aunts and cousins who have done the same.  Just... going to take some getting used to.”

“That’s alright, Dad.”

It wasn’t until after dinner that the real grilling started.  Angela’s father started in with some softball questions about my work situation, credentials, and so on.  When he asked if I intended to stay in Germany I had to answer that I intended to return to Canada within the next few years.  I missed seeing my family.  He shot a look at Angela.  “She doesn’t live that far away, and still manages to not see us.”

“I had the impression things were a little strained,” I noted.  “I’ll admit I don’t really understand the heart of it.  Angela?”

She shot me a pleading look.  “Do we have to do this now?”

“Is there a better time?  If it’s too much, we can just head to our hotel now.”

Angela reached out for my hand, and I squeezed hers comfortingly.  She straightened her shoulders, and turned to face her father.  “Whenever I’m here, you glower at me.  You’re doing it now.”

“Hugo!” hissed Angela’s mother.  “You promised.”

“I’m not glowering,” he groused.  “Just...  You said you were gay.  We had a whole back and forth and round about for months.  I had to tread on eggshells whenever I was around you for fear of setting you or your mother off about it all.  And now here you are, with a man?”

Angela winced.  “It’s... complicated.”

“Do tell,” replied her father, steepling his fingers and watching us intently.  “You two are carrying on like lovers, so I should very much like to know what you’ve been up to.”

I gave Angela’s hand another squeeze.  “Your call on how much to tell him.”

Angela took a deep breath.  “Yes, we’ve been ‘carrying on like lovers’ for some time now.  I found something in David that I’d been looking for.  A man’s mind in a woman’s body.”

Her father’s shaggy eyebrows lofted at that comment.  “He looks rather more like a man.”

“He wasn’t when I met him.”  She turned to me.  “We have to show them.  Maybe they’ll understand.”

I nodded.  “Fire away.”

Angela pulled the box out of her purse.  “There are clinics here and there with new ways to alter people’s bodies.  Magic.  Literal magic, as far as I understand.  They can turn a man into a woman, or vice versa.”

“I’d heard about those,” piped up Angela’s mother.  “It seemed rather fanciful, but the news treated it quite seriously.  They said it took a long time to make permanent changes.”

“And rather less to make temporary ones,” I added.  “The limitations are... not fully understood, I think, and they want to be cautious.”

Angela snorted.  “Cautious,” she repeated sarcastically.  “Yep, that’s us.”

I smiled.  “For the most part.  We’ve managed to fix our mistakes.”

“And the point of this flight of fancy is?”

“Do it.”

My body wriggled in long-familiar ways as my feminine curves replaced masculine angles.  “Tada.  Hello, I usually go by Daffodil like this.”

“I’d wondered about the stretchy shirt and pants,” giggled Lena.  “I take it the magic doesn’t handle clothes?”

“Not when changing from human to human, no.”  I turned from her to the family patriarch once more.  “Does this answer your question?  Like this, Angela gets the best of both worlds.  I’m not entirely sure why shy finds this combination appealing, but...”  I turned to meet her smouldering gaze.  “She very much does.”

I pulled her in close for a scorching kiss.  Lena muttered “get a room”, but she was grinning when we broke for air.

Both of Angela’s parents were staring openly.  Her mother appeared to have wonder in her eyes.  Her father... more like thunder.  “This is an abomination,” he sputtered.

“Is that truly what you think?” I asked.  “Magic is a force in the world.  The principles of engineering can be applied to its use, to help control that force, regulate it, and turn it to our own ends.”

“And... this is the end you would choose?”

I grinned as I deliberately misinterpreted his point.  “Oh, I don’t see this as an end at all.  More a beginning.  I can, and have, been something different every night.  I delight in trying new shapes.”

He shook his head, looking even more distraught.  “This, I cannot understand.”

“Can you at least accept that he... that she makes me happy?” asked Angela.

“I suppose,” he replied, but it was clear his heart wasn’t in it.  “Could you at least turn him back into what he is supposed to be?”

Angela’s eyes filled with mischief as she considered the dial on the box.  “And just what are you supposed to be, dear Daffodil?”

I reached over and adjusted the dials.  “This.  But I promised...”

Angela nodded, and changed one setting.  A moderate amount of world-distortion later I was once again all male.  “Better?”

Her father’s scowl lessened.  Slightly.  “It will do.  And you do this for... fun?”

I nodded, failing to hide my grin.  “Oh yes.  It has been lovely to see the world from both sides.  Would you like to try?”

He stared at me, open-mouthed.

“You should turn him into a shoe,” Lena suggested, unhelpfully.

“A shoe?” I asked.  “Why a shoe?”

“Just look at that mouth.  It’d be perfect.”

I really did try not to laugh, but the snort gave me away.  “Perhaps we should go.”

“Have you ever been a shoe?” asked Lena.

I shook my head.  “It can only turn you into one thing, so you’d need two people to make the set.  I’d need to scan each shoe separately.”

Lena dashed off and was soon back with a cute pair of black leather pumps.  “Show me?”

Her father still hadn’t figured out what if anything to say, and her mother seemed almost as curious as she was.  So I explained how to lock the box onto a new target, and once one had done so how to scan said object.  I overwrote the toys in “Misc 1” and “Misc 2”, figuring it’d be best not to have them in memory right now anyway.  It wouldn’t be hard to re-scan them later.

Once the shoes had been scanned, Lena with mischief in her eyes asked if the process of locking the box on to a person was the same as for an object.  I nodded, and a moment later her father was dwindling to become a patent leather shoe, mouth still agape all the while.

“Lena!” protested her mother.  “What did you do that for?”

“If you press the button once more, he’ll forget he was human and believe he’s always been a shoe.”

Lena did so.  “And if I press it again?”

“Just a shoe.  No mind at all, no memory.  He may even forget becoming a shoe.”

Lena shook her head.  “But then he’d learn nothing.”

“What do you expect him to learn?” asked Lena’s mother.

Lena turned the box toward her, but didn’t lock it on.  “That magic really is real.  That glowering at Zeph all the time is awful.  And maybe if he walks a mile in someone else’s shoes...”

“As someone else’s shoes?” asked Angela with a giggle.

“Even better.  I really want to walk all over him.  He drove you away!  I haven’t seen you except once in a while for years, and I miss you.  I miss you so much.”

Angela bowed her head.  “I’m sorry.  I’ve missed you terribly as well.  I talked Daffodil into doing my makeup for me, and it made me realize how much I missed that part in particular.  She figured I wanted a man that could fill the sister-sized hole in my life, and she was right.  Except...”

Lena nodded.  “Hey, it’s okay.  I get it.  Here wasn’t good for you.”  She walked over to the shoe her father had become and slipped him onto her right foot, then stomped it on the floor.  “How long will he stay like this?  You said that magic is temporary.”

“This one... not so much.  He’ll be like that until you change him back with the box,” I said.

Lena ooohed happily at the thought.  “I could keep him like this?”

“Ah... his birthday is on Sunday, and it’d be a shame if he missed it,” said their mother.  “And he still has work on Monday.”

Lena’s eyes shone.  “Is... is that permission to keep him as my shoe for the next two days?”

“It may be good for him.  I suppose we’ll find out.  Together.”

“Together?”

Lena’s mother gestured toward the box.  “You need a proper pair.  And I need to know what he’s experiencing.”

“But I don’t want to stomp on you.  Just...”  At her mother’s look, Lena sighed and nodded.  “Treat him like I’d want to treat you.  Yes, Ma.”

Moments later, there was a left shoe to match the right, and Lena slipped it on.  She did a little dance in the middle of the living room.  “I...”

“Yes,” said Angela.  “But let me get out of my dress and bra, first.  Katya and Janis should fit you, we’re still about the same size.”  She slipped her dress off as she was speaking, then started undoing her bra.

Lena’s eyes shone even brighter.  “You were wearing two people?  I could wear five...”

Angela handed her bra – Janis – to her sister, then turned earnest eyes on me.  “You could make it six.  You know you want this.  I trust her.”

I licked my lips.  “We took a week’s vacation after this.  According to the rules, the only thing you need to ask is permission to loan me out.”

“And?”

“Granted.”

Lena cheered, and a moment later it was Angela fluttering to the floor, not me.  I blinked at her in surprise.  “What?”

“I needed panties.  Pretty sure that’s... too far for you, given what my new panties have told me about you.  So... what are we going to do with you?  I have a dress, a bra, and panties.  And shoes.  I can’t turn you into a pair of socks.  Maybe a necklace?”

“Or...”  I pointed to the back of her neck, and the ruffled bit of fabric holding her long hair into a loose ponytail.  “Your hairband.  Nice and stretchy, instead of hard...”

Lena grinned, and pulled it off.  Her hair fell about her shoulders and she gave it a good shake when she saw how it was caching my eyes.  “Oh, so you’re into hair...”

“You do have lovely hair.”

“I’ve been growing it out for years.  Hubby loves it like this.  You’ll get to meet him soon.  He’ll be here to pick me up in a bit.  Do you want to be human for that?”

I shook my head without thinking.  “You should show off your new outfit properly complete.”

Lena scanned her hairband in to the box, then locked on to me.  “Thanks.  I promise I’ll have fun.  I hope you will, too.”

Then, without asking, she pressed the button that sent me dwindling.  Getting small and stretchy recalled fond memories of the times I’d been reduced to being a condom.  The experience of being picked up by enormous fingers and stretched was similarly overwhelming, and I lost track of my human side as I was sliding in to place.  Once it was firmly holding her hair, only the elastic was left.

*** *** ***

As I roused to humanity, I let the memories of my time as elastic percolate.  The swaying as Lena danced had been lovely, but the best part was when she took me off to tease her husband into bed.  I frowned a little as I sat up.  “Only the one night?  I’d figured you would keep us all week.”

Lena giggled.  “Oh, I was tempted to.  Might keep the others a while yet, if you’re okay with that.”

I shrugged.  “If they’re being used, they’ll be happy.  Angela doesn’t much like being put away.  Janis and Katya love it.  Did you give them a hand wash?”

Lena shook her head.  “Was I supposed to?”

“It is a lovely reward for your clothing.  Feels like an all-body massage if you do it right.”

Lena purred softly at the thought.  “Well.  That’ll give me something else to look forward to.”

I raised my eyebrow, and then followed Lena’s gaze to the other occupant of an unfamiliar living room.  A woman, with the sort of muscular build that reminded me a little of how I looked as Daffodil.  “Ah, I don’t believe we’ve met.  I’m...”  I glanced down to check to see if I was male.  I felt I was, but it was good to be sure.  “I’m David.  Sometimes Daffodil.  Not infrequently, lingerie.”

“Henri...etta,” said the woman hesitantly.  “I’m Lena’s, er...”

“You’re still her husband, if that’s what you want to be.”

“I don’t know!” she wailed.  “I’ve been a woman for a couple hours and oh my God...”

“Yeah.  Me too.  It’s amazing, isn’t it?”

Henrietta nodded frantically.  “So, so amazing.  It’s like everything has changed.”

“Do you want to go back at some point?” I asked.  “For work, if nothing else?  I’ve had some luck on that point.”

Henrietta glanced uncertainly at her wife.  “I... probably?  It feels like half of this is just the ‘woo, everything is new and different’.  Lena went male, but she really doesn’t like it.”

“Yeah, it’s not for everyone.  Don’t feel guilty about that, either of you.  You like what you like.  I like being both.  Angela puts up with it now and then.  Katya is a beast if you get Kat going, but it took work to get there.”

“Oh?” asked Lena.  “You think I could... get used to it?  I... Henrietta really wanted the full experience, but cocks are weird and I couldn’t...”  She sighed.  “I’m making a mess of this.  Henrietta wants to go out dancing with a man.  I can’t be that man.  Not yet, anyway.  And... well, I’d really like to try being her dress.  So she needs someone to dance with.”

“Just dance,” reassured Henrietta.  “I know you and Zephyr are in some kind of very complicated relationship that I have no intention of intruding on.”

I laughed at that.  “You have no idea.  Being clothing is oddly liberating in that regard.  It’s impossible to feel jealous about two of your group having sex when they’re wearing you during the act.  So good,” I said with a wistful sigh.

Lena snickered.  “So sis probably had fun last night?  I admit I wasn’t thinking too clearly when we got home.”

“Oh, I’m sure she loved it.  Might feel a little weird about it once she’s human again.”

“Can I make it even weirder?  She did say I had carte blanche with everyone but you.”

I shrugged.  “What the heck.  What do you have in mind?”

Lena stripped off her dress, then pulled off the bra so she was only wearing the Angela panties.  “Turn me into a dress.”

“Angela will be part of you if I do that.  And you’re looking forward to that...  Hm.  Henrietta’s about my size, I think I have a dress that will do.”  I held out my hand for the box.  Lena glanced around, found it on a side table, and brought it to me.

I locked it on to her, then glanced between the two of them.  “Both of you sure about this?”

They both nodded, so I pressed the button.  Lena grinned as her legs whisked away into fabric.  “You didn’t say it felt...”  The rest of her statement was cut off as her head vanished.

“Felt what?” asked Henrietta anxiously.  “Getting changed into a woman felt all twisty and weird.”

“Oh, becoming fabric feels so much nicer.  Slithering away into... ahem.  Try her on.  If she’s not a good fit, we could scan... hm.  I don’t suppose you have any dresses that fit.”

Henrietta shook her head.  “I haven’t even braved the outside world yet, let alone gone shopping.”

“And your first venture is to go dancing?  Okay.  First things first, we need to get some makeup on you.  Show me the way to your wife’s stash.”

Henrietta headed off to the bedroom.  I hadn’t seen it before, but something about the way it echoed sounded familiar.  I’d spent quite a bit of time on the floor in this room.

I’d had enough practice doing Angela’s makeup that getting some basic war paint on Henrietta’s face wasn’t too difficult.  Her expression when she saw what I’d done was wonderful.  “Is that really me?”

I chuckled softly.  “Good makeup can transform you almost as much as the box does.  But that is an interesting question.  Is this you?”

Henrietta turned back and forth, studying herself in the mirror.  “I see a pretty woman who moves when I do, so that must be me in the mirror.”

“Not really what I meant.  Is this a version of you that you want to be?”

“Isn’t that why we’re going out dancing?  So I can see what it’s like?”

I smiled and nodded my head.  “I suppose that makes a good test.  Ready?”  I offered a hand to her, as I would for someone I was dating.

Henrietta took my hand and shook it firmly.  “Ready.”

We ran into issues immediately, as my car was still at Angela’s parents’ place, and Henrietta didn’t have valid ID.  So I drove their car, and let Henrietta guide me to the club they liked.  It was no Apparitions, but the music was good and the drinks weren’t too expensive.

We had fun dancing for a while, then I guided Henrietta to a table and went to fetch us a couple of fruity drinks.  I was curious as to how she’d handle a little male attention without me to mark her as ‘with someone’.  I returned to find her glaring at a guy who had a lovely red hand-shaped welt rising on his cheek.  “Your drink, darling.  I hope I didn’t keep you waiting.”

The guy stammered an apology and darted away.  I chuckled, but Henrietta looked concerned.

“Are they always like that?” she asked.  “I’m not any special beauty, just...”

“Yeah.  Any woman who’s remotely attractive will get attention.  Did you really have to slap him?”

“You didn’t hear what he said.  It was rude.”

I shrugged.  “Some guys want to be... up front about their expectations.  You know the type.”

Henrietta chuckled ruefully.  “I’ve been that guy.  I didn’t get slapped, but that’s probably because I felt bad about it and stopped.”

“Can’t say I’ve tried it myself.  I’d rather get to know someone first.  I’ve had fun going out dancing with Angela and the others, but trying to meet people in a club isn’t really my thing.”  I laughed softly.  “But that is exactly how I met Angela.  Huh.”

“I bet you didn’t try a cheesy pickup line.”

I laughed as I turned my mind back to the memory of that first night at Apparitions.  “No, she approached me.  I was a woman at the time, and unsure of myself.  She saw something she wanted, and...  Well, it took some figuring out but we ended up together.”

Henrietta laughed and nodded.  “Yeah, that’s Zeph... I mean Angela alright.  Headstrong, and knows what she wants.  And it seems she wants you.”

“She also wants to be a dress from time to time.  Which is fun, too.”

“Truly?  I was surprised when Lena asked to be one.”

I nodded eagerly.  “She’s probably had more fun tonight than you have.  How are you holding up?”

“I would like to go home soon.  Getting crudely hit on made me feel...”  She shuddered.  “Thank you, but no.  I don’t think this is my scene any more.  Not as a woman, anyway.”

“Ah.  Sorry about leaving you vulnerable like that.  I felt it would be instructive.”

Henrietta’s laugh this time was rueful.  “It certainly was that.”

She asked for one more dance with me, then we headed back to their home.  I restored Lena and Angela, then asked about their parents.  Lena said they’d returned them home and changed them back after she’d had a lovely evening wearing all of us out dancing.   They’d looked a little stunned, but her father hadn’t started yelling about it before she’d left so she considered it a win.

“Did you have fun, wearing everyone?” I asked.

Lena’s eyes sparkled.  “Oh yeah.  Total power trip.  I wish I could do that again.”

“Granted,” replied Angela.  “Or at least, for the four of us.  I doubt Mom and Dad will be willing.”

“It’d be more fun if they weren’t...” mused Lena.  She sighed at the glares from me and Angela.  “Fine, fine.  Maybe I can talk them into a high-stakes card game some time.”

“What happens if you lose?” I asked.  “Spend the weekend as a portrait among all the others on your mother’s wall?”

“Oh!  I bet she’d go for that.  Sounds boring, but...  If it gets me another night like last night, I’m in.”

I chuckled softly.  “I leave that to you to figure out.  If you talk them into it, I’ll make sure to bring the box along.  Speaking of which, I’d kind of like to head to the hotel now.  Is there anything you two want done before I go?”

“Back to normal?” asked Henrietta.  “This was... interesting, but Lena’s not keen on being a guy, so...”

“You could try just changing your hips,” suggested Angela with a wicked grin.  “Doesn’t go to your head like going all male.”

Lena shook her head.  “Doesn’t fix the fundamental ‘aiee, I have a cock’ issue I ran into.”

“Sex toy shops are open late...”

Henrietta’s eyes lit up at that.  “Please?  Just for tonight.”

“You want me to wear a strap-on and...”  Lena’s gaze grew distant, then she grinned.  “Okay.”

We got them to drop us off at Lena and Angela’s parents’ place first, so we could retrieve my car.  On the way, Lena told me about restoring her parents.  She’d found it amusing how stunned they were at first.  Her mother had recovered more quickly than her father, and she’d left about when the yelling had started.

“Perhaps you shouldn’t have changed him without his permission,” I noted, a bit more acerbically than I’d intended.

“Bah.  He’ll get over it.”

“And just what do you think he’ll do before he does?”

Lena shrugged.  “That’s why we live a fifteen minute drive away.  Gives both of us time and space to cool down after arguing.”

Angela gave my hand a squeeze.  “Let them work it out their own way, hon.”

Soon enough we were in my car, and not long after that we made it to the hotel.  They were good about us checking in a day late, especially as I’d prepaid and wasn’t asking for a refund for the missing day.

Once we were in the room, Angela practically pounced me onto the bed.  “God, I’ve missed you.  Spending the evening dancing as a dress with my sister...”

“Oh, that wasn’t too weird for you?”

Angela shook her head.  “I was a dress, couldn’t even begin to find it weird.  I think I’m going to want more of that double-zap action in the future.  Everything’s just so... soft.  Speaking of which, you’re not nearly soft enough.”

I offered her the box, wondering what I’d become.  I grinned when I felt my whole body wobble and wiggle in a familiar way.  “All girl tonight?”

“Rowr.”
