I tried to find Angela the next night, wearing Janis as my favourite bra, and my other sweetie as my sexy red dress.

Apparitions was just as busy on Saturday night as it had been on Friday.  I noticed a few people with too-realistic cat ears and tails that seemed swishier than costume ones should be.  I tried to dance with a few but they were getting a lot of attention.  I only managed to score one dance.  I spent much of the evening people-watching, judging the reactions.  I danced with a few of the more avid catgirl-watchers.  One even accepted my offer to spend a little time in a booth, where we swapped fanciful tales regarding the objects of our interest.  I didn’t mention the greater glamers, nor did my companion.

I went home alone, feeling frustrated and a little horny.  I tried masturbating, but couldn’t get the dynamics right.  That, or I’d been spoiled by my sweeties.  Thinking of them made me feel even more horny, and for the first time in weeks I deliberately turned myself male.

For Janis’ sake I spent Sunday female.  Well, that’s what I tried to tell myself to cover my disappointment at waking up male.

Going back to work as my female alter ego was a relief.  I’d gotten tangled up in my thoughts about what I wanted to be, and not simply about male or female, but what it meant to be a good partner to... clothing.  To possessions.  I tried to focus on the willing and eager aspect but the whole ‘owning a person’ thing was a sticking point.

I was glad to have something concrete to put my mind to instead.

By mid-week I’d settled into a new routine.  Work, come home, spend an hour or so male after dinner, then shower and sleep as a woman.

The worst of the rumours about Daffodil had died down, thankfully.  I felt we were really making progress on the estimation work.  Alex and I were comparing current progress with past projects, and getting a good sense for how they were going.  The only problem was that one group was starting to slide well behind its targets.  I puzzled over it until Alex pointed out it was my old group.

I sighed when he pointed it out.  “You need to replace David or I need to go back.”

“I’ll miss your insights.  But I think I have a much better handle on this now.”

“Maybe I could stay on part time?”  I asked hopefully.

Alex grinned, one of his rare open and honest smiles.  “I’d like that.  But it will be much harder to explain.”

“Worst case I just come out and admit I’m also David.”

Alex was surprised I was willing to be open about swapping genders, given how reluctant I’d been before he forced the issue.  I mulled the point before remembering my undergrad sociology classes.  I’d become used to being at work as a woman.  I’d well and truly broken what I’d once considered a taboo... others knowing about it seemed a small bump in comparison.

We brought the idea to Alex’s mother, of course.  As the owner of the company she’d have to sign off on it.  She studied me for a time before nodding.  “If that’s what you want.  There are other options.  You could do both jobs as David, or as Daffodil.”

I  considered that choice for a few moments.  I felt maintaining the separation would cause less confusion, for them and for me.

Alex’s mother eyed me once more.  “Will this make you happy?”

My eager nod satisfied her, and she told me to show up Monday as David.  She’d set up the paperwork for him to work Monday to Thursday, and Daffodil would work Fridays.  “We’ve been trying to relax the dress code on Fridays, after all.”

I thanked her profusely, and spent the whole night female so I could celebrate with my sweeties.  Dancing around the apartment wearing my sweetiedress over my best bra was fun, but what I really wanted was someone to celebrate with.  I was sorely tempted to break my promise to Janis and restore her.  I resolved to find Angela Friday night and settle Janis’ request.  I could manage one more day, I figured.

I spent all of Friday night at Apparitions, dancing and talking and watching for Angela.  If she did show, she was glamered beyond recognition.  I did get some nice cuddles from a few of the other women at the club, but none of them appealed for a liaison.

Saturday proved even more frustrating, so I spent Sunday male and largely ignoring my special possessions.

I slept male, woke male, and had to dig through the closet to find David’s work clothes.  I had accumulated a remarkable amount of female clothes, between Janis’ stuff and Daffodil’s shopping trips.

Returning to work felt like coming home.  Familiar desk, same old workstation taking its sweet time to boot, especially with weeks of updates to do.  While I was waiting, Frank popped in to my cubicle.  He’d been the friendliest to me when I joined the company, and was the only one on the team I thought of as a friend.

“You’re back!” he cheered with a grin.  “Maybe we can make the deadline after all.”

“So you missed my elite coding skills more than my sparkling personality?”

He laughed.  “Tom certainly has.  He had no idea just how much weight you were carrying around here.”

“I’ll try to make up for the lost time.”

Frank nodded.  “I’m sure you will.”  He took a step closer and whispered conspiratorially, “So, are the rumours true?”

I looked away guiltily.  “Uh... what rumours have you heard?”

“All sorts of stuff.  Sick grandmother, mental health issues.  My favourite is the one where you were called up for a covert operations mission.”

I laughed.  “I’m not a spy.”

“Which is exactly what a spy would say.  The hot new rumour, given that she disappeared the day you returned, is that you’re actually Daffodil.”

“What?”  I exclaimed.  “Why would...”  I hesitated.  “I mean, who’s that?”

Frank snorted.  “Scheiss, you’d be an awful spy.  You have no poker face at all.  What’s the deal?”

“Can we not talk about it here?”

“If you’ll come to the bar after work.”

“Sure.”

Frank’s bushy eyebrows lifted.  “No fuss?  Something has changed.  Good.  Oops, looks like Tom’s headed this way.  See you later.”

My boss leaned against the entry of my cubicle a moment after Frank had left.  “Welcome back.  Any chance I can get you to jump on some of the high priority bugs in the tracker?”

I nodded, and asked him which ones he wanted dealt with first.  Unhelpfully, he wanted all of the top priority bugs fixed, so I shrugged and started working on the most interesting one first.  The day went by swiftly and quietly as I dropped back into the familiar routine.  Before I knew it, Frank was back at my cubicle, practically dragging me off to go to the bar.

Once we were there, he grabbed a booth and a couple of the bar’s specialty beers.  I wasn’t a huge fan of beer, but their stuff was better than I was used to from back home.  After we’d both had a chance to cleanse our palate from work, Frank leaned in conspiratorially.  “So... you’re really Daffodil?”

I debated trying to argue the point, then shrugged.  “Yes.  Thanks to that blind date you sent me on, I ran across... something that lets me swap if I like.”

Frank grinned.  “Oh!  So you do like Janis?  I don’t know a lot about her, but Giselle swore you two were made for each other after I told her about...  Well, you remember.”

I blushed, recalling a time Frank had noticed one of the tabs I had open on my browser.  “Yeah.  Well.  Thank Giselle for me.  I owe you two a huge favour.”

“We’ll figure something out.  So... spill.  What have you been up to?”

I told him a somewhat expurgated version of events, skipping over various non-clothing transformations, ending with the way that Katya and Janis were currently Daffodil’s clothing, and an unspecified promise I’d “rashly” made meant that I was supposed to keep them that way a while yet.

“So you’re free for the evening?  No entanglements?  Come have dinner with us.  Giselle would love to hear all this too.  She loves this kind of crazy stuff.”

I accepted, and found myself telling a rather more detailed version of the story to Giselle, who found the whole thing fascinating.  “I don’t suppose I could give it a try?” she asked, once I was done.

“What would you like to be?  I don’t think Frank here is interested in swapping genders with you.”

Frank laughed uproariously, then sobered to see Giselle’s expression.  “You aren’t serious.”

“I would like to see what kind of girl you make,” she replied.  “Just for a little while.  We don’t have to go out.”

I offered to go retrieve the box, so Frank could try the idea out in the safety of his own home.  He sighed melodramatically and agreed.  Giselle offered to drive us there, so as not to let the moment escape.  “Can I see you as Daffodil?” she asked as I was getting out of their car.  “Make it a girls’ night, and you can show Frank there’s nothing to fear.”

I smiled.  “Sure.  Come on in and I can show you the box in operation.”

Giselle hopped out to follow me eagerly, with Frank reluctantly following behind.  Once we were inside, I quickly changed into a loose robe that I knew would fit Daffodil.

Of the two, I think Frank’s reaction when I transformed was the more gratifying.  He stared, wide-eyed.  Giselle was just studying me with a curious little smile.  “I don’t see how anyone could fail to see that you’re the same person.  I mean, it’s not an exact resemblance, kind of distant cousiny, but the hair completely gives you away.”

“The wig!  I forgot about the wig.  Be right back.”  I darted back into the bedroom, and since I was prettying up anyway I threw on a blouse and skirt as well as the wig, and carried the robe back out to the living room with me.  “Tada!  Daffodil is in the house.  Apartment.  Whatever.”

Giselle applauded politely.  “Very cute.  Would be cuter with makeup.”

“Yeah, I know.  I’ve been getting better at daytime makeup, but clubbing stuff... eh, I don’t have the eye for it.  Can’t make it clash right.”

Giselle giggled.  “It’s about expressing yourself through facepaint, not some specific look.  Just go with your gut.”

“My gut still thinks like a guy, until I’ve been changed for a few days.”  I frowned as I contemplated her advice and started to see a new pattern in my mind’s eye.  “Well, it used to.  I’ve spent so much time in this body that I kind of get what you mean, now that I think about it.”

“Good!  Let the femininity within you bloom and grow.  Maybe a little sympathy will rub off when Frank tries it.”

Frank looked alarmed.  “Why did I agree to this?”

“Because your wife asked nicely.  And you’re curious.  Admit it.”

“It’s safe, right?”

“Perfectly so.  I have an emergency reset button in the other room.”

Frank smirked at that.  “Does it seriously have an e-stop?”

“Yup.  Built with safety in mind.  If you consider spending time as an object safe.”

“That’s not what I’d call safe.  Keep me human.”

I tossed him the robe.  “Go put this on, washroom is just around the corner on the left.  You won’t be the same size in spots, it’s more comfortable if you’re wearing something loose.”

Giselle giggled as Frank stared at the robe dubiously then headed to the washroom to change.  “I suppose you have some experience with that.”

“Yeah.  Mostly I change in the nude.  Well, unless I’m becoming clothing, those changes take your clothes along for the ride.  Not sure why human to human doesn’t, other than it’s not easy to map men’s clothes to women’s.  Would certainly be more complicated.”

Frank emerged about then, looking rumpled.  “If we’re going to do this, make it quick.”

“Of course.”  I quickly locked the box onto him, and pressed the button.  He looked more confused than alarmed as his body quivered from one form to another.  He patted his chest when it was done.  “Huh.  I’d expected this to feel weirder.”

I shrugged.  “There’s a bit of an acclimatization effect.  It doesn’t extend to high heels, you’ll need to practice to get good with those.”

Frank rolled his eyes.  “Hearing a new voice is the strangest part so far.  I still feel more or less me-ish.”

“So it’s not freaking you out?” asked Giselle.  “That’s good!  Do you have any dresses in Frank’s size?”

I looked Frank’s new body over.  “He seems pretty close to Janis.  Might be a bit small for her bras.”

“I said nothing about bras,” grumbled Frank.

“How about  a dress?  You should at least see the proper effect.”

“Fine.”

I could tell Frank wasn’t going to be fine for long, so I dove for the closet and pulled out one of Janis’ stretchier dresses.  It was a fairly simple design, with broad shoulder straps and what I figured would be a low enough hemline to keep Frank from fleeing.  I had not considered how form-fitting it would be on him.

Frank stared at us, staring back at him.  “What?”

“Damn, you’re pointy,” giggled Giselle.  “You really need a bra.”

Frank glanced down and glowered.  “Why are they doing that?”

“Usually because you’re turned on.”

“I’m not!” protested Frank, but the blush on his cheeks said otherwise.  After tolerating both of us eyeing him in disbelief he ducked his head.  “Okay, fine.  It’s this stupid dress, so clingy and tight.  Every time I move it rubs me.  If I tried to dance, I think I’d end up chafing.”

I winced.  “Yeah.  You need a proper bra.  I think I have a tape measure here somewhere, we could figure out what size you are so next time...”

“There isn’t going to be a next time,” Frank tried to growl.  His new voice turned what should have been a threatening growl into something more like a purr.  “Damn it.  Why is my voice sexy?”

Giselle’s giggling got louder.  “I like it.”

I left them to that discussion and tried to find something like an exercise bra among Janis’ stuff.  What I found was shapeless, grey, and fairly stretchy, so I figured it’d do.  Frank eyed it warily, then accepted Giselle’s help in putting it on.  He was less pleased when she tried to take his dress off in the middle of my living room.

“It’s just us girls here,” giggled Giselle.  “Nothing we haven’t seen on ourselves.”

“That is so wrong,” grumbled Frank, but he lifted his arms so Giselle could slide the dress off.  I turned away to give him a little privacy, and turned back when Giselle said she was done.  Frank still looked uncomfortable, but perhaps a little less skittish.  “I don’t know,” mused Giselle.  “The bra’s outline shows too easily, and she’s still poking out at us.

“I am not a she,” grumbled Frank, but his pout was just so cute Giselle couldn’t help but gush over it.

Frank tried on a few more dresses.  I found a calf-length sundress that he pronounced acceptable, save that it was cut for someone with a larger chest and slumped a little sadly around his breasts.  Giselle dug through Janis’ collection of bras and found one I hadn’t seen before - it was larger and quite heavily padded.

“What on earth would she do with that?” I asked, without thinking.

“I bet she’d overflow it and look like she has huge boobs.  But on Frank, this might work well.  C’mere sweetie.”

Frank let his wife peel his dress down to his hips and swap out the bras without much protest.  When she did the dress up again, Frank’s eyebrows lifted.  “Hey.  I actually look good in this.”

I grinned.  “Success!  A little makeup, and maybe we can go for a walk to the park and back?”

“No makeup.  No going out, either.  Have you had your fun?”

Giselle sighed.  “Is it really so awful?  I think you look cute like this, and... I’d like to see you looking sexy.”

“Why?”

“Why wouldn’t I want you to look sexy?”

“Because I’m a man?”

“Nobody’s perfect.”  Both of them laughed at the line from Some Like it Hot, though Frank sobered quickly.

“You don’t care that I’m... not a man?” he asked, looking confused.

“You’re the love of my life, no matter what you are.  Speaking of which... would you still love me if I asked to spend a while as your bra?”

“Uh... what?  My bra?  Why my bra?”

“I’m still not sure if I want to make love to you like this... but I do know I’m as big a fan of boobs as you are.”

“Oh,” replied Frank.  “I had no idea.  So...”  He looked down at his chest.  “Wow.  You want to play with these as badly as I do?”

“I could go take that walk to the park on my own,” I suggested.  “It’d give you a chance to explore, without having to go outside...”

They exchanged looks – Frank’s expression was worried until he saw her excitement.  He smiled wryly.  “That would be lovely.”

I saluted the two of them, grabbed a purse large enough to shove the black box into, and headed out the door.  I figured an hour should be enough.  I was wrong.

Still, they didn’t seem upset by the interruption.  “Can I try being her bra now?” asked Giselle.

To my amusement, Frank did not protest the pronoun.  “Sure.  I just have to scan the bra.  Where’d it go?”

Frank blushed cutely, and it percolated all the way down to her breasts.  “I... uh...”  She stared down at her naked breasts, then looked back up at me.  “Okay, there are upsides to this.”

Giselle found the bra and handed it to me eagerly.  After it was scanned and I’d locked on to her, I asked, “Are you ready to have your mind blown?”

She nodded eagerly, and swiftly dwindled from woman to a complex arrangement of black satin, straps, and padding.  Frank picked the bra up once the change was complete.  “This is her?”

I nodded.  “She can feel and hear everything.  Once you’re wearing her, she’ll mostly only hear what you say, especially if you put the dress back on.”

Frank put the bra on, then had a little trouble with the dress so I helped her settle it in place and zip it up.  “How do you feel?”

“Odd.  I can change back whenever I like, right?”

I nodded.  “You should still try dancing while wearing her.  Dancing’s the best, whether you’re a bra or a dress.”

“Not going out.”

I shook my head as I walked over to the radio.  “We can dance right here.”  My favourite local station played mostly English songs, they were surprisingly popular in Germany.  I bounced along to the music, and watched Frank.  After a little while, she started swinging her hips, and moving to the beat.  When the next song came on, she started to dance a little more vigorously, and was soon bouncing around the living room with me.  When “Barbie Girl” came up next, Frank started to laugh, almost a giggle.

“Having silly thoughts, are we?” I asked with a grin.

“It’s Giselle’s favourite song,” Frank replied.  “I bet she’d love it if you could turn her into a doll.”

I bopped along to the song, and Frank started moving again.  “I could probably do that.  She wouldn’t be able to move, though.”

Frank put a hand to her bra.  “Didn’t stop her wanting this, so...  Huh.  You think she’s enjoying this?”

“Oh sweetie, I know she is.  I’ve been the bra a few times and it’s fantastic.”

Frank smiled.  “Good.”

The next song up was a slower song, and to my surprise Frank took my hand and pulled me into a dancing pose.  It had been years since my last ballroom dance class, and I’d never danced the female part before.  Still, I followed along as best I could.  Frank seemed to be enjoying the moment, so I didn’t want to spoil it.  When she pulled me in for a kiss at the end of the song I was more than a little surprised, and backed away.  “Frank?”

Frank sighed softly.  “I would very much like my wife back now, please.”

I helped her out of the dress, and soon Giselle was shuddering back to humanity.  She hugged Frank tight as soon as she could move, and the kiss they shared got me more than a little turned on.  I thought they were going to start making out right there in my living room, and took a step back to get out of their way.  Giselle noticed me as I moved, and shook her head.  She pulled away from Frank.  “Should we go home like this, or with you back to normal?”

Frank licked her lips.  “I... really don’t want to go outside like this.  Can I go back now, please?”

I nodded, and locked the box on to Frank.  As I was doing so, Giselle spoke up.  “You mentioned partial changes when you told your story.  Could we... keep Frank’s breasts?”

I looked up at Frank.  “Easiest way is to make you all male first.  Think about it once you’re back.”

She nodded, and soon was a he once more.  Frank patted himself down, and then looked down at his chest.  “Damn.  I do miss them.  Won’t it look weird?”

“Won’t know until you try, right?”  I tweaked the dial we rarely used, setting it for ‘chest’, and pressed the button once more.  The breasts seemed even smaller in contrast to Frank’s larger frame.  “I bet a tight undershirt would hide those pretty well.”

Frank nodded slowly, then his eyes went wide.  “Wait, you’re suggesting I go to work like this?”

I giggled and posed to show off my feminine curves.  “I went to work like this.”

Frank snorted.  “That was very different.  Can I swing by in the morning to get returned to normal?”

“You could take a sick day, spend it as Giselle’s bra...” I teased.

“Pass.  Back to normal please.”

Giselle shot me a dark look as I changed Frank’s chest back.  “You pushed too far.”

I grinned at her wickedly.  “I planted a seed.  You’ll thank me later.”

Giselle laughed.  “It was a lot of fun being a bra.  You think he’ll let me wear him?”

“I’m right here,” grumbled Frank.  “And... maybe.”

“I’ll take it.  C’mon, let’s let Daffodil have some privacy.”

Frank finished getting dressed, and soon the two were gone.  I sighed softly.  Now that they were gone I was hornier than ever, and it took me almost an hour to give up and change back to male.  Even then, it wasn’t really what I wanted.

*** *** ***

The next day at work Frank was chipper and excited, and thanked me for a lovely evening.  I did my best not to wince at his eager tones, but I suspect I didn’t hide it as well as I could have.  Alex approached me at the end of the day, after most of the others had left.  Once we were fairly private, he asked how I was doing.  “Missing a certain floral identity?”

I sighed and admitted I was looking forward to Friday.  That led to spilling out far more than I’d intended about Janis’ “deal” and wanting to find Angela.  I pulled up short when I mentioned her.  “Weren’t you two becoming kind of a thing?”

Alex laughed roundly.  “Oh, lordy.  Me and her?  No.  Oh hell no.”  He looked around, shook his head.  “This is a story for the bar.  I’ll pay.”

I shrugged, and tagged along.  Once we were in a private booth, Alex told me in low tones about his last encounter with Angela, the previous Saturday.  Apparently they’d been two of the catgirls on the floor that night.  Until Angela had sweet-talked him into heading to the back room, where she’d pulled out a catboy torc instead... and used it herself.  Alex didn’t remember much of what happened after that, and claimed he didn’t want to.  I could see the longing in his eyes, and called him on it.

With a sigh, Alex admitted that he’d found it dangerously exciting.  That he had wanted more with such burning intensity that he’d have gladly run through anyone else willing to put on the catboy torc, and told Angela as much.  She’d offered to set it up, and he’d eagerly accepted.  Instead she took off his torc, and he’d stumbled home in a daze.

“I don’t think I can go back,” sighed Alex.  “I’d fall down that hole and never want to climb back out.  Is being Daffodil like that for you?”

I shook my head.  “Kind of the opposite.  Can’t get off at all, it’s so frustrating.”  I still don’t know why I admitted that to my boss.  I’d barely had half of my beer, so it wasn’t the alcohol.  More likely it was the shared frustration.

Alex snorted.  “I can recommend a place where you could get the right sort of toys.”

I accepted the address from him rather too eagerly.  He chuckled, and sent me on my way, promising they were open late.

I tried not to run, but I might have walked a little briskly.  I found the store easily enough, it was an unassuming facade tucked away among other little shops.  Without Alex’s recommendation, I wouldn’t have even known that “Black Velvet” sold anything other than clothing.  But once I’d made my way past the first row of dresses, my eyes widened at the displays.  “Woah.”

“Can I help you with anything?”

I turned to face the salesgirl who’d addressed me in an oddly familiar voice.  I blinked and stared at her a moment too long.  “Angela?”

Her eyes went wide.  “Oh!  I... oh dear.  I don’t use that name...”

I looked at her nametag.  Zephyr.  I chuckled.  “Zephyr, then.  Figures Alex would be so wrong it almost comes around to being right again.”

Zephyr giggled.  “He sent you?  Really?”

“I didn’t know I’d find you here.  I... might have mentioned that I’m having trouble, er... getting off while female.”

She grinned.  “That’s not what I remember.”

“That’s... that’s part of why, I think.”  I tried to keep from stammering, as preventing the blush was hopeless.  “You were amazing, and I just can’t...”

“I’m off shift in a couple hours.”

I laughed.  “Are you always this forward?”

“Hell no.  Not here, in particular.  But... you make a fine woman, and you know my weakness.”

“And Alex?” I asked.  “He told me about the catgirl incident.”

Now it was Zephyr’s turn to blush.  “I had no idea he’d react like that.  Please apologize to him for me.”

“Was it something about the change?  Those glamers are awfully comprehensive, could they include pheromones?”

Zephyr’s eyes went wide.  “I never asked.  I don’t imagine they’d want to say.  But... thinking about it, I didn’t feel like that at all.  Honestly, I think Alex just can’t handle his estrogen.  It’s not for everyone.”

I chuckled, and thought about Frank.  “Perhaps not.  It’d be fun if more people took it for a spin to find out, though.”

“I know!” exclaimed Zephyr.  “What a lovely world that would be.”

“Did you like being male?” I asked, since it seemed a logical extension of the idea.

“Not as much as I’d hoped, honestly.  Might have been the fur, it was... distracting.”

“If you come back to my place later, you can try it without the fur.”

Zephyr’s eyes lit up.  “Oooh.  Yes please.  Give me your address, and I’ll be there.”

I did so, then looked around the shop again.  “I still need... something.”

Zephyr gestured to a display of floral objects.  “These are pretty popular with the guys.”

“No, for my... female... wow, those do look like fun.  I wonder what it’d be like to be one.”

That got an even bigger squeal from her.  “You can do that?  I want to try being this one.”

I looked at the work of art she was indicating.  It was crystal clear, and looked more like a bud vase than a sex toy.  “It’s very sleek.  Why that one?”

“Because it’s the prettiest.”

I picked up one of the boxed ones from the display.  “Okay.  I’d also like something for the other side.  We have a weird tentacle-thing scanned, but it...”  I shrugged helplessly.

“Ooh, those are an acquired taste.  Did you use enough lube?”

At my confused look she pulled me toward another display, a rack of colorful bottles with improbable names.  “Werewolf blitz?”

“Oooh, good eye.  The magic ones go fast.”

I blinked at her.  “You sell magic lube?”

“It’s expensive, so we don’t sell a lot.  That one supposedly gives you more stamina and a modest... redesign.”

“Full body?”

“No, just the good bits.  Easier to hide if you overdose and it’s still all wolfy the next morning.”

I nodded as sagely as I could.  “Very considerate.”

That got a smirk.  “Not to whoever you’re railing with that.  I’ve heard stories of lovers getting knotted, unable to separate until it wears off.”

I winced.  “Pass.  Probably best not to mix magic and... whatever it is I’ve got.  While it looks like tech, it works more like magic.”

Zephyr grinned.  “If I come over after work can I see it in action?”

“Sure.  I’ll even wait to change, and you can show me how my next two purchases work.”

“Next two... oh, right.  What kind of lube do you want?”

“No idea.  Something that smells nice?  You pick.”

“Banana might be too...”  Zephyr giggled at my expression.  “Orange spice is pretty mild, and tastes like it smells.  One of my favourites.”

I accepted the bottle from her, then gestured toward a rack of translucent phalluses.  “What sort of toy would you recommend for a beginner?”

She guided me to a display full of small and oddly shaped bits of silicone.  “The rabbit is really popular.  I think we have some instructional videos somewhere... or I could give you a hands-on lesson.”

I blushed and nodded.  “It’s a date.”

“Oooh, a date?  I better bring chocolate.”

The way she said that made me eye her warily.  “No magic chocolates.  This time.”

“I’ll have to do some research, then.  I’ll see if I can find some for our third date.”

“Would that make tonight our second?”

“Pretty sure that first night after Apparitions counts,” she replied with a big grin.

I blushed and nodded.  “Yeah.”

She stepped closer and gave me a hug and a quick peck on the cheek.  “See you soon.”

I paid for my new treasures, and wandered home in a daze.  If it wasn’t for the contents of the plain paper bag sitting on my living room table, I would have sworn the whole thing was a dream.

I had just barely started on dinner when there was a knock on my door.  I dashed to it and threw it open.  “Alex?  What are you doing here?”
