“Showtime,” murmured Ray as he felt Donna and Gwen approach the Blue Vixen.  He winced as he felt the hesitation coming from them.

His comm crystal pinged with Gwen’s voice.  “There weren’t anything like this many when I left.”

“I know!  They just keep coming,” Ray replied on the same channel.

“Warn a girl, next time.  Donna’s not in a great state, and surprising a goddess with a towering case of PTSD is not a good idea.”

“Warn her about the fireworks, then.”

“Fireworks?  I said no more surprises!”

“Which is why I’m telling you now.  We’ve got some shells ready to go that’ll put up a smoke layer to hide the whole area from public eyes.  When she’s ready.”

Ray could almost feel Gwen’s narrowed eyes.  “We’re braced.”

Ray pressed the plunger on his improvised podium, mounted atop an equally improvised stage in the parking lot, up against the side wall of the Blue Vixen.  The signal raced to the roof, and a few dozen magically crafted smoke-shells lofted into the sky.  Their detonation was loud enough to make him wince and glance back toward the still-invisible sparks.  “There.  Will that do?”

Ray felt them tugging and prodding at the dense smoky layer.  A few moments passed before Gwen replied, “Donna says it’ll do.”

Ray stepped up to the microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen!  Our guest of honor has arrived.  Please give a warm welcome to the Hero of The Invasion, our Mistress of Transformation, DONNA!”

The crowd cheered, then looked around in some confusion until Donna grew from spark to a dozen feet tall, glowing brightly at the edge of the crowd.  The crystalline woman’s gaze raked across the crowd, and tried not to wince as they saw many of them start to abase themselves.  “None of that,” they called out in a voice that echoed off the buildings.

Ray watched as the crowd milled uncertainly.  Donna just stood there, almost radiating uncertainty about what to do with the situation.  They were also radiating the same healing aura as at the hospital.  He flexed his hand, the ache from where Donna had crushed it a month ago was gone, but the crystals embedded in it to patch it up were still there.  He contemplated them for a moment then looked up at Donna once more.  Still no movement, and the crowd needed something...  “Okay girls, I guess we’re up.  Hit it.”

The row of catgirls and very exotic dancers looked to the bunnygirl out in front of them for their cue, and started to sing.

There is a house in Victoria they call the Blue Vixen...

The crowd joined in swiftly.  By the second verse they’d overpowered the PA system, and while it may not have been the most tuneful rendition ever, it more than made up for that in sheer enthusiasm.

As the song... the hymn reverberated in the open spaces around the club, something else joined with them.  Ray smiled as he recognized the aura of love and determination – he hadn’t been sure it would happen outside the club, but out here, with so many people singing, it was stronger than ever.  It welled to a grand crescendo to match the music, and swiftly faded away once the song ended.

Donna stomped forward, growing taller with each step.  Petitioners were sent bowling, though any injuries sustained were healed almost instantly.  “What,” they demanded in a voice as large as the sky, “was THAT?”

“Ray!  I said no fucking surprises!”  Gwen’s voice was loud in the silence that had followed Donna’s question.

Ray stared up at Donna, frowned briefly, and grew to match her height.  “Vanessa died here, died to save the world.  That is what is left behind when a Goddess dies.  This place is marked, and any song we sing brings that forth.  Her love, and her fierce determination to see it through.  She became one with song.  I don’t know how, I hoped you might.”

Duncan chuckled softly.  “Nice try at a distraction.”  Donna’s voice took over again.  “Why didn’t you tell us?”

“Because you needed to feel it.  Here.  Now.”  Ray opened his arms, and Donna practically dove into the offered hug.  She wept against his shoulder until the enormous tears finally stopped pouring.

When Donna turned to face the crowd once more, many eyes were sparkling with tears.  It was Kelly who stepped forward from the choir-line, then.  She projected her voice almost as well as Ray and Donna had been doing.  “Fear not!” she cried out.  “For I bring unto you tidings of great joy, which shall be unto all people.”

Donna’s head snapped around at that.  “What are you doing?” they hissed.

Kelly grinned up at her saucily.  “Setting the stage.  And lightening the mood.  Go on.  Your show now.”

Donna harrumphed, then turned to face the crowd once more.  Their great crystalline body sat on the edge of the stage, perching there with arms around one knee.  “Then we should get on with it.  Hey everyone.  You have a lot of questions.  We can feel the pull of your curiosity, of your desires...  But let’s start with the questions.”

Donna snapped their fingers, and sparkling birds scattered through the crowd, leaving trails of glowing glitter behind.  “The simple part is that magic is real.  On the night of the full Moon, almost anything is possible.  The ill can be healed, but raising the dead is largely beyond us, save for the very recently deceased.  Beyond that... well, you can see the choir up here.  The Moon loves transformation.”

They tilted their head, and studied the crowd.  Everyone was watching, there was barely a murmur to be heard from them.  “But most of you are not here to be transformed. Pity, that would have been fun.  Maybe next full Moon.  This is a night for answers.”

Donna gestured upward, and a glowing sphere appeared above the crowd.  “The rules of magic were set by the Worldstone.  One of the big rules was that you couldn’t talk about magic unless you’d already seen it.  Little late for that now.”

There was a dutiful chuckle from the crowd, and then a gasp as the image of the Worldstone shattered.

“Then some idiot got the Worldstone nuked.  Several idiots, but at the heart of it was the other purpose of the Worldstone.  It kept the demons at bay... mostly.  Specific forms, specific shapes, simply weren’t allowed to exist.  But the demons were clever, and invented a new shape that the Worldstone hadn’t been programmed for.  So when the portal in Detroit opened, a few of these new, tiny demons slipped through, and sowed chaos.  One managed to take over the US President, and used that to nuke the Worldstone.  That’s when everything went to hell.”

Donna looked up, and shook their head.  “Perhaps we don’t need to revisit that just now.  We have seen more than we ever wanted to, and...”

Donna’s gaze turned to Gwen.  They held a hand out to her, and Gwen grew to twenty feet tall to take her place beside Donna, human next to Donna’s sculpted body of crystal.  “And Gwen here built a new Worldstone.  What are the new rules?”

Gwen shrugged.  “Much the same as the old, except that instead of no talking about or showing the effects of magic in public, there’s a rule against visibly performing magic in public.”  She gestured to the smoke screen still hovering above them.  “Not too hard to get around, but hopefully it’ll keep things from getting too crazy.”  She laughed ruefully.  “Perhaps that’s asking too much.”

Donna managed a smirk in reply.  “Yeah, sanity’s not really on the menu tonight.  We spent many happy full Moon nights at this club, making fantasies become reality.  Surely there are a few among you who dream of being something different, even if just for tonight...”  Their aura already permeated the crowd, nudging a little more power into it was trivial.  Donna could feel the close-held secret desires of the audience starting to bubble up.  For now, they pushed just enough to let the curious ones have fun.

“Go on.  The power is there for you to grasp, to become something out of your fantasies.  Even if it’s just wanting bigger boobs.”

That drew a chuckle from the crowd.  A few moments later the chuckles were followed by gasps from a few women who had taken Donna up on their offer.  To add a little drama, Donna sent up a shower of sparks from each woman who had drawn upon their power.

Behind them, Kelly giggled then started singing.  Soon the entire choir had picked up on Katy Perry’s “Firework”, and more sparkles were going off in front of them.  More women started growing larger chests, but it didn’t stop there.  Several started growing taller, and others added cat-ears, each accompanied by magical fireworks.

Ray watched the fireworks go up and grinned at Donna, he saw the smile threatening to emerge.  As he felt Vanessa’s presence return, he started to worry.  Unlike other occasions, the dominant emotions were curiosity transitioning to joy, and he could tell it was focussed on Donna. “Feels like a good one,” he murmured.

Donna favoured Ray with a brilliant smile. “Oh, it was.”  She turned to look down at Kelly and winked at the enthusiastic red-furred catgirl.  “Good choice.”

Kelly beamed up at her, and kept singing.

Donna’s eagerness made the changes spread faster, and the fireworks glow brighter.  Each attracted attention of those nearby, and sparked interest as people watched the firework-marked start to transform.  The chain reaction of changes spread through the crowd, and before long it was more than breasts, ears, and tails.  Quite a few people changed fully into animals – cats, birds, deer, even one raccoon.  Then an even bigger firework lit up, bright red and shooting into the sky.  All that was left behind was a pretty red bra.  The woman who’d been standing next to the guy in question scooped the bra up and held it against her chest.  “Oooh, does anyone else want to be worn by me?”

That set off an even bigger round of fireworks as the song crescendoed.  Donna pushed out even more power, pushing anyone with the slightest flicker of interest to change, sending up waves of fireworks...  Once it was over the crowd was noticeably thinner – some ten percent of their number were replaced by bras, panties, feather boas, purses and a small handful of shoes.  The crowd was thinner in another sense as well - nearly everyone had changed into a more idealized version of themselves, even if they hadn’t done anything else.

“Now that’s what I call a party!” exclaimed Donna after the song ended.  “Don’t worry, everyone will be back to normal before the Moon sets. If you want to keep your changes longer, come up and have a little chat.  Or go have a look at the Moon, She will help you along if you truly want to stay this way.  For those who’d like to keep their new accessories... well, I’m sure we can work something out.”

The crowd swarmed and surged, some rushing forward to approach Donna, others making their way to where the smoke-dome touched the ground.  Their aura still permeated the space, and sparkles kept going up here and there as people decided perhaps there was some little thing they wanted to change after all.  The occasional large fountain arose where someone persuaded a friend that spending the night as their bra or panties could be fun...

The clamour of those that approached the stage was beyond human comprehension... but not beyond Donna’s.  As far as Ray could tell, the short term requests for up to a week were being honoured in bulk.  Once that clamour had died down, there were two groups left.  The couple dozen that wanted their own changes to persist were nudged forward first.  Donna looked each one in the eye.  “Are you sure you want to stay like this?”

Most nodded, and gushed their thanks to Donna when she told them their desire had come true.  A pair of deer satyrs hesitated.  “Can we try it out for... a month?”

“To do that, these would have to become your permanent bodies.  But if you come back next month, you can change again.  Back... or forward, as suits you.”

“Forward?” asked one.  “To a deer?  Or maybe a centaur...  Yes.  Please bless me with this body.  I will see you in a month.”

The other looked at her friend.  “You’re quite mad, but you’re so beautiful like this.  Can I stay like this too, please?”

“Of course, my daughter.  Any who desire the blessing of transformation are welcome.”

The next group didn’t want changes for themselves, but for the bras and panties and one pair of shoes clutched in their hands.  Donna turned her gaze on their prizes.  “Do you truly think that is what your new possession wants?”

Most quailed before the judgemental gaze of the enormous crystal woman, and scattered back into the milling crowd.  One woman with a bright red bra clutched in her hand led those who braved the gaze.  “He was the first, and I know he wanted this.  Please?  I’ll take ever such good care of him.”

Donna reached out and touched the bra with a fingertip.  “It would seem your new bra agrees.  He will stay as long as you keep him content.  If you neglect him... we will know, and it will be your turn to be worn.”

“Oh!  I...”  The woman swallowed, then grinned.  “Can I get that without the neglect?  I might enjoy that, once we’ve had our fun this way ‘round.”

Donna chuckled warmly, and set a glowing crystal orb in the woman’s hands.  “Any time you wish to swap places, touch this to both of you.”

The woman’s eyes went wide.  “Oh!  That’s perfect.  This is going to be so much fun...”

Behind her, two others asked the same boon.  The panties were not as sanguine as their hopeful owner, but accepted being changed for a week in exchange for a promise of hand washes every night.  The shoes decided to stay on, and their owner was also granted an orb that would swap places... though the shoes explicitly rejected the ‘neglect’ terms, claiming they wanted to be treated like normal shoes would be.

Among those that overheard these conversations, several came forward to ask if they might also have such a boon, letting them swap bodies at will.  Donna took the time to talk with each couple, and tweaked the boon to suit each couple’s style and needs.  The most common approach was a pair of rings or bracers that both needed to wear to enable the exchange.

The last couple asked for something a little more complex, which made Donna grin in a way that Ray had not seen in too long.  Donna diminished to human scale so they could lean in and murmur with the couple to more privately design to their “perverted desires”, as the two put it.  They ended up with a suggestively shaped statuette that either could use to ‘absorb’ the other into a body part of their choosing.  Due to its more actively magical nature, it could only work on the nights when the Moon was full, and would need periodic recharging.

Donna cautioned them that as a consequence, they might end up stuck for a few weeks at a time, but that just caused the couple to giggle and smile bashfully.  “We’ll probably be back to get one of us properly stuck one day.  Or perhaps we’ll find someone who wants both of us.  Ooooh, do you have a personals section at the Blue Vixen?  Situations wanted?”

Donna chuckled and looked to Ray, who had decided human-sized was easier and had shrunk back down while she was talking.  “Well?  Do you?”

“We will by tomorrow night,” Ray agreed enthusiastically.  “Now that we can be open about all this... I quite like the idea of some magical matchmaking.”  Almost to himself he mused, “Should it be part of the club website, or a more general service?”

Gwen overheard, of course.  “I think word’s going to spread awfully fast about what happened at the Blue Vixen tonight.”

“Good point.  Club site it is, though... hm.  Perhaps I should buy out that esthetics salon at the end of the building, and have a separate site for people who don’t like the... salacious image we present?”

Donna giggled.  “Whatever could you mean?  The Blue Vixen is a perfectly respectable gentleman’s club where any fantasy you like can become real.”

Ray smirked back, glad to hear Donna so cheerful.  “Exactly.  And eighty percent of the population wouldn’t be caught dead inside such a place.  So I’d like to reach them, too.  Who wouldn’t want a body that’s a little younger, or a little prettier?”

“Or has bigger boobs.  Or more of them...” suggested Kelly with a grin.  “Can I model for your catalog?”

“Would your father approve?” asked Donna.

“We can keep it tasteful.  I can show off a five-boobed body with a custom bra, and it’ll still be tasteful.  Ish.”

“Talk to him first,” said Donna firmly.  “Whatever limits he sets, I’ll respect.  The dancers can do the nudie catalog.”

“Can I at least get to do the toy catalog?” wheedled Kelly.

Donna raised an eyebrow.  “Toys?”

“Kid’s toys,” Kelly clarified.  “Toy soldiers, race cars, all that fun stuff.  The dancers can be the sex toys.”

“This is going to be a very confusing collection to those who don’t understand what we’re offering...”

Kelly giggled.  “Oooh!  I so want to be there to see their faces when they figure it out.”

“You’re hired,” declared Ray.  “I’ll figure out how to fit it all in later, but the ‘receptionist and transformation consultant’ gig is yours if you want it.”

“Yes!”

Ray smiled at Kelly fondly.  “Good.  I think you’ll have more fun there than backstage.”

“Probably.  Easier hours, too.  If I go to bed at three in the morning, it’s hard to help with the boys.”

The transformations had mostly ended, and Ray felt Donna start to withdraw her aura.  He also felt Ana snuggle up against his back.  “You know, sweetie, I could use a pretty cobalt bra.”

Ray glanced over at Donna, who was watching the exchange with an avid grin.  Apparently the mention of the metal that won the war wasn’t bothering her, so he smiled at her.  “You’d like to see me as Cobalt again, hm?”

“Oooh, yes.”

Ray felt his will to resist falter.  “I could stand a vacation.  Rowan runs the place better than I do, and Ana can manage the household...”

“Cobalt!” cheered Ana.

Ray nodded, and felt Donna’s regard wash over him.  His body soon became her body, dwindling to a slim vixen’s proportions as his fur went from grey to a bright blue.  At the same time, the crystals embedded in his paw disappeared.  He glanced up at Donna in thanks, and saw the apology there.  He nodded his acceptance, and murred contently as the Cobalt part of her mind came to the fore.  “What can Cobalt do for you?” she asked.

Ana smirked wickedly.  “Cobalt can wish to be my bra as long as I like.”

A little part of Ray tried to surface at that, but Cobalt was in charge, and loved the idea.  “Oh yes mistress, I wish I could be your bra for as long as you’ll have me.”

“Cute trick,” murmured Donna as their magic licked out once more.

Ana curtsied.  “This will be such fun.”  She scooped up the bra.  “Can she hear us?”

“Yes.”

Ana shook her head.  “Give her nothing but touch.”

Cobalt felt the world go away.  She had already dwindled so far, but now there was just the dark, the warmth of the hands holding her.  She could not hear the conversation deciding how long this would be her fate, accepting Mistress’ decision would be the best one, no matter what it was.

Deep below the surface, Ray could be nothing but amused at how he’d been outmaneuvered, and settled to his slumber.  It would be a lovely vacation.
