As Susan drifted off to sleep after an evening of experimenting with her new dolls, her thoughts were small and fluttery... and full of gratitude to Nanase for the gift of the dolls.

So she wasn’t surprised when her dreams turned to Nanase.  There she was, sitting in a darkened parked car with Ellen.  Susan’s cheeks pinkened as she realized what they might be about to do, but her curiosity made her settle on the dash and watch.  A moment later her eyes widened as she saw Nanase reach for the “watch” on her wrist and turn into a copy of Grace.  Before her wondering eyes, Nanase summoned another copy of Grace, and then changed back.

The makeout session in the car soon became complicated by the fact that getting two people together in one was difficult enough.  Three was right out.  Ellen glanced at the dash as she and Nanase separated, and grinned.  “Oooh, clever girl.  We could be dolls together.”

One hand-zap later, and Ellen was dwindling to doll size, then fluttering toward Susan to give her a hug.  “How’d you figure out different looks?” asked Ellen.

“I... didn’t.  That’s not me,” replied Nanase.  “Susan?”

Ellen pulled away from the other doll.  “Oh!  I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to...”

Susan pulled her back into the hug.  It felt nice, and since this was just a lovely dream, why be worried about touch?  Doll bodies couldn’t carry disease, or make her sick.

A moment later, a third doll joined them, wrapping her arms around both.  “Mmm, this is nice.  Shall we take it to Fox’s lap?”

“Fairy snuggles!” cheered Ellen.  She tried to fly to the back of the car, and promptly crashed into the driver’s seat.  Susan giggled, soon followed by Nanase, and both of them fluttered down to give the newest fairy a hand, helping her fly to Fox-Grace’s lap, where all three were promptly scooped up and hugged by Fox.

Snuggled in fuzzy arms, Susan sighed happily and drifted off to dreamless sleep.

In the morning, she found a text on her phone, from Ellen.  “We had fun last night.  Hope you did, too.”

“Oh carp,” muttered Susan.  “That was real?  I think I need to read my spellbook again.  And apologize profusely.”

She quickly texted back “Sorry, I thought it was a very vivid and pleasant dream.”

“It was fun.  Visit anytime.  Maybe bring the Grace doll next time?”

Susan blushed profusely, but her hands tapped out, “OK” before she could stop them.
