Once Heather was safely back to the privacy of her room, she pulled off her shirt and pushed her breasts together. “Out you come, Flint,” she whispered. “But you have to be quiet.”
“Aww,” came the reply from deep inside. “I’d rather stay here.”
Heather giggled softly. “Comfy?”
“Very. What’s the rent like?”
Heather covered her mouth to muffle the worst of her laughing. “Flint! You can’t stay.” After a moment she realized she’d let go of her breasts. Without cleavage to emerge from, neither Flint nor his voice could leave. She rolled her eyes, and decided to let the matter go for now. He would be safe enough, they’d established that much. She pulled up her ally list instead, and waved to Moira. “Want me to take you home?” she whispered.
Moira tried to speak, then just nodded.
Heather looked around. “How to get out without being seen...” Moira pointed at the window, which was open a crack to let in fresh air.
“Can’t open it further, they’ve probably set the alarm. But I could shrink...” Heather grew wings, and her height plummeted as she soared toward the window... then bounced off the screen. “Whoops.”
Heather studied the screen from her perch on the ledge. With a bit of work, she could probably pry it out of the frame, but she wasn’t sure if that would damage it. She turned to her size changing augment. Flint had empowered it when she’d become his familiar. Looking at it now, she could see there was room for more, so she nudged power at it to see what would happen. The sigils got more numerous and complex, but no more obvious in function.
She knew which glyph represented scale, so she carefully adjusted that. Before further empowering her augment, she’d been about half an inch tall. As she pushed it further, she dwindled to the point that the mesh of the screen looked more like a rope climbing net. She flew up toward it, and with a little bit of rather undignified wriggling, managed to squirm her way through. “Tada!” she cheered when she was done. Moira clapped for her silently from her ally list.
Heather grew back to a reasonable size for flying, and headed up into the night sky. Navigating via the street-lit roads proved simple, and if she stayed above the streetlights she wasn’t visible from the ground. The tree-branches proved equally invisible, and after a few close calls she slowed down to avoid them.
When she arrived at Moira’s house, she discovered that Moira had not left a window open. She alighted in a shadowed part of Moira’s back yard, and summoned her friend. “Now what?”
Moira shrugged. “I don’t know. We have air conditioning, we don’t leave the windows open. I could... walk up to the front door. I don’t have my keys with me, I could say I went out for a walk and forgot.”
“In bare feet?” asked Heather, incredulously.
Moira waggled her eyebrows at her friend. “Are you volunteering? If you MagiGift yourself to me, I’ll curse you into shoes.”
Heather put a hand to her chest. “I don’t know what that’d do to Flint.”
Moira sighed, then blinked as a MagiGift icon appeared in the air. “Flint?”
Heather nodded as she accepted. A moment later a pair of sensible sneakers landed in front of her. She offered them to her friend. “Here. Think you can survive wearing a boy for a bit?”
Moira nodded eagerly. “I just hope he fits. Your feet are a bit smaller than mine.” She slipped the shoes on, and laced them up loosely. “It’ll do. How long is he stuck this time?”
“Months,” sighed Heather. “We’ll strike a deal that sets him free a little more easily, this time.”
Moira glanced at her friend’s feet. “Hey, you’ll need shoes, too.”
Heather shrunk to the size of a hummingbird, then fluttered up onto Moira’s shoulder. “I can hide on you.”
Moira scooped her up and tucked her between her breasts. “But I know where I’d rather hide you. OK, let’s go.”
After a quick chat with her mother at the door, Moira took her new shoes off, then carried them to her room while nobody was looking. Heather squirmed out and grew to sit beside Moira on her bed. “Is this the first time you’ve had a boy in your room?” she asked with a giggle.
“There’s no boy in my room,” said Moira, primly. “Just some smelly old shoes.”
“Hey, that’s hardly fair,” groused Heather, then she flashed her friend a grin. “He’s not old. And if he’s smelly, it’s your fault.”
Moira giggled. “Okay, fine. Your boyfriend is neither smelly nor old. What do you see in him, anyway?”
“He’s sweet, and treated me nicely when he had control. I spent an afternoon as his familiar, and being so very much his was...” Heather shivered. “This thing makes being owned seem so right.”
“Make me your familiar,” begged Moira. “I want to know what that’s like.”
“Why?”
Moira poked one of the shoes with a toe, tipping it over like its mate. “You have a connection to Flint now.”
“You think I love him just because I was his familiar? I mean... yeah, that helped. And...” Heather stopped short, and turned to face Moira. “Are you in love... with me?”
Moira shrugged. “Maybe? I mean, this is hot, and I definitely want to have sex with you again. And find out more kinky things to do with magic. But you get stars in your eyes when you think of Flint, and... God, half an hour ago, I’d have said ‘sex is plenty’, but it really, really isn’t. I want you to look at me like that.”
Heather smiled, and wriggled around so she could face Moira properly. “Look at me.” Moira’s gaze raked over Heather’s naked body, settled at her breasts for a moment, then returned to her face. “Good. Tell me you like what you see.”
“Beyond a shadow of a doubt,” replied Moira, reverently. “You are beautiful. More so than ever, you used to look good, but power really agrees with you. You look fantastic.”
“Look deeper. Why me? Why not some other pretty girl?”
Moira looked away, off into the distance. “What other pretty girl? When I came out as bi, all the girls at school scorned me, even the other lesbians.”
“Okay, pretty boy then,” amended Heather with a chuckle.
Moria shook her head. “No boys. When I said I was bi, I lied. My parents didn’t ... I mean, they took it okay, but Mom said I should keep my options open, and... I wasn’t sure. Not really. Not until you kissed me.”
“I could rescue Flint, and you could try kissing him?”
Moira’s brow wrinkled. “Bleh. No boys.”
Heather was silent for a moment, then smirked. “Flint agreed to a deal. He’ll be freed once the shoes have been kissed by two different women.”
“What?” cried Moira. “You’d use Flint’s fate to blackmail me into kissing him?”
“As a shoe. Beats kissing frogs.”
Moira started to giggle. “And you left an out. I’m sure you could talk your mother into kissing a shoe for you.”
“Well yes, but it might prove kind of embarrassing, so I’d rather not involve her.” Heather caught Moira’s gaze and held it. “I figured that if you’re so keen on being a familiar, I could ask you to do it then.”
“Ohh... I hadn’t thought of that. You could order me to kiss him.”
“I’m pretty sure I could ask you to find him sexually attractive, and you would. Just by being my familiar, you might see him the way I do...”
Moira shook her head. “That’s... hard to imagine. And a little off-putting. I mean, I’d feel normal again afterward, right?”
Heather nodded reassuringly, and put a hand on Moira’s arm. “Of course. But you’ll still remember feeling the other way. It’s like it doesn’t change who you are... but it does change who you were.”
“And who we were determines who we are,” agreed Moira, nodding slowly. “I’m in. Make me your familiar until dawn.”
Heather studied the glyph floating between them. “And what boon do you wish in return for your power?”
“A kiss,” replied Moira without hesitation.
“Just a kiss?”
Moira’s grin grew lascivious and wild. “No. Not just a kiss. The most sensual, wanton kiss you can muster, so I can feel exactly what you think of me. After I’ve been your familiar, and done your bidding, that is what I want.”
Heather nodded. “I can do that. Agreed.”
Moira staggered, and fell against Heather. She clung tightly to the other woman. “Oh. My. Goddess. What are you?”
Heather blinked at her friend. “What do you mean?”
“The power you control, it’s...” Moira’s eyes were alight, literally glowing. “I am not worthy to lick your feet, never mind be your familiar.”
“Is that something you’d want to do?” asked Heather, doing her best not to push anything on Moira.
“If it would please you,” murmured Moira. “I would do anything for you.”
Heather raised an eyebrow. “You’ve got it way worse than I did. Can you tell why?”
“Power, mistress. You have so much it’s dizzying. Overwhelming.”
“I should free you,” fretted Heather. “This is wrong.”
“No! Please, mistress. Keep me. Forever.”
“Moira!” gasped Heather. “Oh right. Sorry. I felt the same way. Lucky for both of us, the time can’t be changed. You’ll feel differently in the morning.”
Moira shook her head vigorously. “No I won’t.”
Heather pulled her friend into a gentle hug. “You will, sweetie. And I don’t want you to react like I did after being released from Flint. I could make you do stuff that’ll make you hate me.”
“Never! Oh, Heather, don’t you see? I could never, ever hate you.”
“Even if I chose Flint over you?”
“Even then,” agreed Moira, snuggling in closer. “As long as I get to be your pet.”
“Not sure I’d be okay with keeping you as a pet.”
“Okay, a dress. You were okay with keeping Flint as a dress.”
“No I wasn’t!” protested Heather, but her heart wasn’t in it. Under Moira’s reverent, unblinking gaze she sighed. “Okay. Yeah. I miss my dress. Can we kiss Flint now so I can turn him into a dress again?”
Moira nodded, and jumped off the bed to scoop up the shoes. She handed one to Heather while bowing reverently, as if presenting an offering. Once Heather had taken it, she swiftly gave the other a tender kiss. “There.”
Heather studied the woman still bowed before her. “How do you feel about kissing Flint?”
Moira smiled up at her. “You love him.”
Heather nodded, hugging the shoe tight to her chest. “So much. Does that mean...”
Moira nodded back. “Yes. It feels natural... all boys are icky, except for Flint.”
Heather kissed her shoe, and hugged Flint tight as he reappeared. “How was it?”
Flint shrugged. “Not bad, just a little squishy. Not as good as being a dress.”
“Are you ready to be my dress?” asked Heather softly.
Moira nodded eagerly, as did Flint. “Wait, you can’t both be my dress.”
“You promised to make me a bra,” suggested Flint. “You could wear both of us.”
“But you have lives. Homes. Moira’s halfway to a degree in sociology. I can’t take you away from that.”
Moira bowed her head. “My life is insignificant next to yours. I would give it all up to bask in your glow.”
Heather placed her hands on Moira’s head. “If you still feel that way tomorrow, we can talk about it. For now, I can’t turn you into clothing so it’s moot.”
“But of course you can Mistress. I am your familiar.”
Heather blinked. “But you can’t play the game, so I can’t curse you.”
“I don’t think the game matters any more,” murmured Flint. “These contracts are something much bigger, much older.”
Heather bit her lip, then shifted her hands to cup them under Moira’s chin. “Look at me.”
Moira raised a reverent gaze to her Mistress. “I will do anything you ask of me.”
“Become a dress,” whispered Heather.
And Moira did. A gorgeous burgundy dress crumpled to Heather’s feet. With shaking hands, she lifted it up. “I had no idea,” she breathed. “You could have done this to me, Flint.”
“Wish I’d known,” he chuckled. “Though I don’t think a dress would suit me. Got anything in your bag of tricks to turn me into a girl?”
Heather blinked at him. “Why would you want that?”
“Because Moira likes girls, and you like girls. After spending a few days as a dress, I don’t feel very attached to my masculinity.”
“Flint! Be serious,” chided Heather.
Flint wriggled out of Heather’s grip and knelt beside the dress. “I am perfectly serious. If the three of us would be happier as three women, I’m game. Especially if it’s part time.”
“Moira, can you still hear me?” asked Heather.
“Yes, Mistress.”
“Once you are no longer my familiar, would Flint be attractive if we turned him into a girl?”
“Yes, Mistress.”
Heather nodded slowly. “Okay. I could take you as a familiar to make you female, but I’m not a fan of grovelling.”
“Fair. Maybe there’s an augment that can help? I mean, if I had a robin augment, I bet I could use it to grow boobs.”
Heather nodded and summoned her grimoire. A moment later she started to giggle. “You already have it. Gift of the cat.”
“Sorry?”
“Yeah, it can give you a pussy.”
Flint rolled his eyes and groaned. Then he got a distant look, and suddenly gasped. “Holy crap, it worked.” His voice sounded half an octave higher.
“You don’t look very different.”
Flint squirmed, and the fit of his pants shifted as his hips widened and his waist narrowed. “Better?”
Heather tilted her head and studied Flint carefully. “Different. Kiss me.”
When they broke for air, both were gasping for breath. Once Heather’s panting had slowed, she nodded. “I like it. Your lips are softer.”
“Do it,” called the dress. “My bed is yours.”
Heather gasped. “Moira. I... we can’t stay here, can we?”
“Of course you can,” replied Moira. “Your parents think you’re asleep in your room. I can hear Dad snoring, they won’t notice anything.”
“Be serious!” ordered Heather.
“I am. Nobody will hear you two... well, you did get pretty loud. Maybe if you both got tiny first, you’d be quieter.”
Heather giggled at the image of the two of them going at it on Moira’s enormous bed. With little more than that thought, she dwindled to doll size. “Did you ever get a size augment, Flint?”
Flint shook his head. “I’d have to do a lot of gathering. Don’t you have a spell to shrink things?”
Heather considered that for a time, then shook her head. “Only possessions.”
Flint bowed his head to put it close to his tiny sweetie. “Then I offer myself as your possession, to resize and reshape as you wish.”
Heather’s eyes went wide at the glyph appearing before them. “What boon do you wish in exchange for your offer?”
Flint smiled down at her. “To be worn, held and touched by you every day.”
“Accepted,” breathed Heather, barely believing it would work. But the glyph flared, and when she crooked her finger, Flint shrunk down to her size and snuggled up against her.
“Why give me such power over you?”
Flint kissed her on the cheek. “Because you already had it. I love you, and the idea of being apart from you...” he shuddered. “I’d rather be your bra than go home.”
“What are you going to tell your parents? Or my parents? I can’t just have you move in.”
Flint giggled. “Why not? I’m serious, make me your bra and keep me in your underwear drawer when you’re not wearing me. Or a dress in your closet. I’m used to that. Your parents didn’t seem to object to it. You could hang me next to Moira.”
“Oh... okay. That sounds wonderfully naughty... How long is this deal for?” Heather looked for the contract and rolled her eyes. “Flint! Did you clear even more of your schedule? You’re stuck with this deal for the next six months!”
Flint smiled at her. “I wiped all of my schedule. There was a New Year’s Eve event I couldn’t erase. I guess that’s Technicon’s way of preventing accidental forever-deals.”
“You’d let me change you forever?”
“Look at the contract. I’m only ‘stuck’ until you go a day without touching me.”
Heather brushed a hand along Flint’s side. “I see. So if I ever grow bored of you and set you aside, you go back to normal. I don’t think I could bear to leave you alone long enough to break this, Flint.”
“That’s fine by me. I’ve never been happier in my life than these past few days, even the ones as your dress. Perhaps especially those. Purpose is good.”
Heather levered herself up on one arm to look down at Flint. “Purpose?”
“I had none in my life. Flunked out of college, no job or prospects. Being yours was so much better, I felt like being your dress was the most important thing I could be doing.”
Heather wriggled around and sat up, legs out straight so her feet brushed against Flint’s belly. “Do you feel that way now?”
“A little. Being here with you is good. Being owned is better. Being used would be best.”
“Become a pretty bra for me.”
Flint cheered as his body dwindled and flattened, and cheered even louder when Heather scooped him up and wrapped him around her chest. “Best decision ever.”
“Seriously? You see being my bra as a good career move?”
Flint wriggled happily around her, making Heather gasp. “It feels amazing. Your breasts are my world. You are my world.”
“That’s the possession thing speaking, isn’t it?” sighed Heather. “Set that aside, if you can.”
Flint went still, then wriggled his straps. “Wow. The intensity is down a bit, but the sense of purpose is still there. Plus, being snuggled up against your breasts still feels amazing. I wish I could make you understand how huge this is for me. To have a place.”
“And that place is on my tits?” asked Heather, incredulously. “Be reasonable.”
Flint chuckled softly. “Nothing about this is reasonable by normal human standards. But you’re far beyond those. I had nothing in my life, and now I get to spend all my time next to you. How can that not be a huge improvement?”
“What do you mean, nothing in your life?”
Flint strap-shrugged again. “Just that. Dad got tired of my freeloading, and the RealityPlus was the last straw. I tried to tell him it was a gift, that I hadn’t spent money on it, but...”
“And you seriously think he’s not worried sick after you dropped off the face of the earth? Call him.”
Flint made a surprised noise followed by the beeping notes of a phone number being dialed, then ringing. A moment later both could hear a gruff, “Flint?”
“Hi Dad. Can you hear me?”
“Yeah. Are you okay?”
Flint chuckled softly. “You were right, Heather. Should have known.”
“Who’s Heather?” asked Flint’s father.
“An amazing woman I met after you kicked me out. I’ve moved in with her.”
There was a sigh of relief from the other end of the connection. “Good. Is she nice?”
“You have no idea. She’s incredible. I’m so, so lucky to be with her.”
“Congratulations, my boy. Treat her right. And if you can forgive your irascible fool of a father someday, bring her around so I can meet her?”
“That sounds nice,” said Heather. “We’ll do that soon.”
“Is that her?” asked the voice on whatever was passing for a phone. “She even sounds pretty.”
“Thank you. Yes, I’m Heather. Pleased to meet you.”
“Pleasure’s all mine,” said Flint’s father. “You two have fun. G’night.”
There was a click, then Flint shuddered. “That was so weird. I guess my phone is in here somewhere.”
Heather giggled. “I have a bra-phone now? Sweet.”
“You have an amazing utility Flint that will be and do anything you need.” After a moment Flint added, “Mistress.”
“Flint...”
Flint chuckled softly. “I don’t feel compelled to say it. Besides, Owner would be more accurate. I am yours to do with as you wish until you set me aside.”
“I can’t imagine setting you aside. This is all moving so fast... I should probably go home and sleep on it, it’s late.” Heather stretched and yawned.
“Don’t forget your dress when you go,” Flint reminded her.
Heather perked up. “Moira! Oh, sorry girl, I got distracted. Are you okay?” She hopped off Moira’s bed and fluttered down on reflexively-added raven wings to stand beside the enormous dress, brushing a hand over its rich fabric.
“Never better, Mistress.”
“Do you have to call me that, Moira?”
“It feels right. Mistress.”
“Please call me Heather.”
“You are Heather, Mistress.”
“Augh!” Heather gave the dress a nudge. “Can you please be yourself for a bit? Your non-familiar self?”
The dress wriggled. “I’ll behave however you wish.” It snuggled up to Heather, drowning her in fabric.
Heather sighed happily in the silken embrace. “Why do magic dresses feel so nice?”
“Because we love you,” murmured Moira.
Heather smiled. “At least with you I know it predates becoming a familiar.” She grew taller with a thought, and slithered into her newest dress. “Do you like this?”
“It is wonderful, Mis... Heather. Sorry. I’m trying, but it’s so hard. You’re so... so everything.”
Heather chuckled softly, running her hands over Moira to smooth the dress out. “I’m just a girl, the same one you’ve known since sixth grade.”
“You’re not. You’ve changed. You’re more decisive. I offered you both of us, and you just dove right in.”
Heather hugged her dress and bra to her chest. “And now I’m wearing both of you. I don’t know how I’ll go back to normal clothes in the morning.”
“Who says you have to?” asked her dress. “I’d happily move in to your closet, and I’m not alone. I bet if you asked, you’d have volunteers for days.”
“That’s what I said!” cheered Flint. “You could have a contest to see who gets to be your next dress. Make it so they get one ticket per day they offer. You’ll see.”
“Moira at least will think differently in the morning.” Heather yawned and stretched. “Speaking of morning, it has been a very long day. You guys mind if I call it a night?”
“Only if you don’t wear us to bed,” said her bra, followed by a murmured agreement from her dress.
“You are both exceptionally comfortable... okay.”
After a few false starts, Heather managed to find a way out of Moira’s house via the fan vent in the bathroom, then turned fully into a robin to fly back home. An owl startled her, but she quickly defeated it and added it to her repertoire of flying forms. Her new shape could see much better in the dark, and made it much easier to avoid the tree branches on the way home.
The wriggle to get through the screen in her window was no more dignified than it had been on the way out. Heather giggled at the thought of creating a teensy cat-flap in her screen, but was too tired to do anything about it. She grew herself and her clothes back to full size and dropped into her bed. Her owl-wings spread around her like a blanket, and she was soon fast asleep.
Once he was sure Heather was fully asleep, Flint murmured, “still happy?”
“Mh? Oh, yes. Deliriously. I get to sleep with her.”
Flint chuckled warmly. “Yeah. So awesome. Think you’ll feel the same in the morning?”
The dress was silent for a time. “I think so. Now that she’s asleep, I feel a little more myself. I loved her before this. I can’t imagine being angry about spending time as her dress, so I’m sure I’ll love her afterward.”
“And that kiss she promised won’t hurt, either,” whispered Flint.
The dress matched his soft tone. “Looking forward to that so much. Jealous?”
Flint sighed. “Maybe a little. You’re so much better at kissing.”
“It’s not hard. Just focus all your attention on her.”
“Thanks,” murmured Flint, then yawned. “G’night.”
“Sweet dreams, bra-boy. I hope we get to trade places someday.”
*** *** ***
Heather woke to see the early light of dawn trickling through her window. She sat bolt upright. “What? What is it?”
Her bra groaned. “What’s wrong?”
Heather shook her head to clear it, but the sense of urgency wouldn’t go away. “I have to kiss Moira. Now! Where is she?”
“You’re wearing her.”
Heather glanced down at the dress she’d slept in. It still hugged her body without the slightest wrinkle to be seen. “Oh. Right. Wakey wakey Moira, time to be human again so I can kiss you.”
Nothing happened. “Moira?” Heather called, worried. “C’mon, this isn’t funny.”
“Did you mute her by accident?” asked Flint.
Heather called up her magic sight, and then shook her head ruefully. “She doesn’t have enough power to animate herself like this. Must have been using mine while she was a familiar, then when the bond broke... She’s just a dress now. Can’t speak, can’t think. Can’t feel. Oh hell.”
“What?”
“The deal. I have to kiss her, make her feel how much I love her. But if she can’t feel, I can’t... I can’t... Magic really doesn’t like it if you don’t make good on a contract.”
“Which means?” asked Flint, worriedly.
“If I don’t kiss her soon, I’ll lose all my power until I do. God, we could both be stuck forever.”
“So kiss the dress already,” said Flint.
Heather had the dress off in a flash, and snuggled it up against her chest while she kissed its collar desperately. After a minute she let it drop and sighed. “Nothing. I’m so screwed.”
