Gwen and Donna had no difficulty persuading Neysa to let them dance next. Nissa met them at the stage entrance, giggling at the reactions she’d had to her boob-bodied spider form. She asked to go back to the Marilyn-spider form she usually wore, and Donna obliged.
Then they were up on stage and Donna was revelling in the beat of the music. Her body flickered and glowed with the beat, pulsing and flashing from flesh to crystal and back in time with it. Each pulse left her changed, a little here, a little there. Dreams and fantasies wove through the audience, and she tugged on them to guide her changes. Chesty, of course, for everyone knew what full Moon nights meant by now. Sometimes four boobs, sometimes many more. An angel’s face, or this actress or that. Fur, feathers, and a couple bars as variations on scales for Dave.
In the end Donna was a little bit of everything, patches of fur and feathers, scale and skin, with breasts all down her front and back and swirling rainbow patterns over all of it. Gwen laughed as they came off the stage. “You look like a madhouse of fantasies. I love it!”
Donna hugged Gwen and spun her around, dancing her into the green room and giving her matching rainbow fur. “So do I.”
The green room was even more crowded than before, dominated by Isolde’s seven foot tall form. Donna grinned at the bat-winged, black-scaled succubus. “Ready to try being a little less conspicuous?”
Isolde’s laugh rumbled deeply. “You’re one to talk.”
Donna smirked and faded out like a cheshire cat until only her grin was left. “I have more options.” Her body flickered back into existence as a pink and purple striped catgirl.
“Cute trick. Can you make me disappear like that?”
“Yes, though not quite so fast,” answered Donna. “Is that what you want?” she asked with an impish grin.
Isolde held her hands up defensively and her wings came about her protectively as well, drawing complaints from the women she displaced. “No! I like existing. Existing is good. I just wish...”
“Careful with the w-word,” cautioned Gwen.
Isolde sighed. “I like being big and strong. I want to keep this body. But I also want to fly.”
Donna’s grin grew wider. “Oh, that one’s easy. Same deal we did for Tina. One tiny body and one big one, linked together.”
“And if you want, we can set you up with a robotic human body that the little one can pilot,” enthused Gwen. At Donna’s look she shrugged. “What? Zoey doesn’t want hers any more, why not change it into something little Izzy can pilot?”
“Little Izzy?” asked Isolde darkly.
“What do you want to call her, then?” Gwen gestured to the tiny bat-winged woman forming on Isolde’s shoulder.
“I...” Isolde hesitated, then grinned toothily. She held a hand up to the little one, who stepped daintily into her palm. “You know what? Little Izzy is perfect.”
While Isolde practiced shifting her viewpoint from one body to the other – she refused the idea of a cutoff switch – Gwen and Donna worked on renovating Zoey’s robot body. Once they had what they felt was a suitable cockpit built inside its chest, they invited Isolde to try it out. Little Izzy swooped acrobatically between them and backwinged to a perfect landing on the lip of the cockpit. She suggested adding a perch there to make it easier, and Gwen did so. Then the little succubus closed up the cockpit and started testing the robot body’s limbs.
“This is challenging,” came a voice from the robot’s mouth. The lips were almost in sync.
“I thought you liked challenges,” replied Gwen with a smile. “How is it?”
Little Izzy dove out of the cockpit and between the body’s breasts before flicking her wings open and fluttering up in front of Gwen. “It’s awesome. Thank you two so much. Can I keep it?”
Donna nodded. “Done. Your three-body solution won’t change back in a week. Have fun with it.”
Isolde wrapped Donna in two huge arms, and lifted her into the air. “Thank you. The body doesn’t really feel like me, it’s... someone else’s.”
“I tried to get it close to your original body...”
“No, it’s perfect!” Isolde gestured at the still form of her robot body, with its glittering glassy eyes. “I get to pass, but it’s not a...” she shuddered and hissed the next word, “human body.”
Donna grinned. “If you ever feel the urge to try being a little more...”
Isolde shook her head violently. “Never. I’m happy with who I am now.”
“If you’re sure, I guess I can’t fuss,” sighed Donna. “I still wish... I mean, I still would like to know what your original self would have thought of all this.”
Isolde laughed. “She’d have loved it. Didn’t Ray tell you? I remember her much better now. Doctor Arwen’s been out at the estate a bunch of times to help. Don’t cry for old-me, she’s still there.”
“Really? That’s such a relief. Thanks.”
Isolde set Donna down. “And now, to go dance with both of me. This should be fun...”
As Isolde tromped off, a slim blue form staggered in from the back door. Donna rushed to her side. “Cobalt?”
“Mistress?” The slim blue vixen shook her head to clear it. “No, I... Ray. I’m Ray. Right?”
Donna chuckled softly, and summoned a silver-coloured torc out of thin air. “Are you sure?”
The vixen’s eyes went wide. “That’s not silver, is it?”
“No. I don’t recommend ever using silver again. It’s platinum.” She held it out to the vixen, who accepted it and slipped it around her neck.
“Oh, this feels...” Cobalt looked up at Donna. “Even without silver, I feel so different like this. What was that?”
Donna smiled. “Your first step.”
Ray shook her head to clear it again, and took the torc off. “I think... I think I’d better not play with that. It’s like she’s right there, ready to come out the moment I let down my guard.”
“Is that such a bad thing?” asked Donna gently.
Ray worried the torc in her hands. “I... don’t know. But I won’t find out by being her.”
Donna took the torc, and gently slipped it around the blue vixen’s neck again. “Yes you will. Come, Cobalt. Let’s find something for you to do.”
Cobalt tagged docilely along behind Donna as she went to find Rowan. “I have a new vixen for you. Can you find some suitable tasks for Cobalt, here?”
Rowan stared at the vixen who returned her gaze only briefly before dropping her eyes. “Is she my new mistress?”
Donna smiled at Rowan’s gape-mouthed expression. “Yes, Cobalt. Obey Rowan as you would me, and I’ll see that you are rewarded at the end of the night.”
Rowan set Cobalt to refilling the water jugs placed around the room, and stared as she cheerfully headed off to do the task. “I can’t believe... is that really Ray?”
“Yup. She’s not wearing silver, the torc is only symbolic. Ray seems to have picked up a double personality like I did. I want to see how she develops.”
“You’ll help her back to Ray after?” Rowan asked, turning her stare on Donna.
Donna didn’t flinch. “Of course. Before Crazy Eights, I know Ray would hate to miss it.”
“Good,” said Rowan, dusting her hands of the matter. “I’ve got more work for you, if you want to help make more fantasies come to life.”
Donna grinned, and held her hand out eagerly for the stack of slips. Gwen had handled a few celebrity changes already and was busy doing more, but they’d left the singers to Donna. Vanessa happily took those on, spending the next hour with a half dozen different faces and voices.
One of the remaining slips was from a couple that wanted to settle a bet. Donna found this curious, and asked Rowan to bring them in. She appeared in the room in a puff of glitter a moment after the couple had entered, and looked them over while their faces still wore expressions of surprise. They both looked like they’d been slim and fit in their twenties, but a decade of soft living had rounded them out a little. “So. What’s the bet?”
The woman made a mew of surprise at Donna’s question, then straightened her shoulders. “That I’d find something... attractive here. Tom’s been coming here for a while, once a month, and I was getting sick of it. So he bet that if I came along...”
“Ah. And what were the stakes?”
Tom grinned. “A change. Lil didn’t understand then, but...”
“Is this place really magic?” asked Lil, eyes sparkling with curiosity and more.
Donna tilted her head. “The place isn’t magic. I am.” She grew into a looming and very male felinoid. “Tell me what would make your husband more attractive.”
Lil fanned herself. “Oh! I, um... Does it... I mean...” She looked from Donna to Tom and back. “Anything?”
Donna’s chuckle shook the room. “Anything. Tell me your dearest fantasy, and I’ll make it real.”
Lil skittered over beside Donna, and went on tiptoe to get closer to her large triangular ear. She stole a glance at Tom. “You won’t mind?”
Tom shook his head. “Anything.”
Lil blushed, then whispered in Donna’s ear. Donna grinned and answered, “Easily.”
Lil watched eagerly, eyes widening as she noticed the effects of her request. Tom followed her gaze, then grinned as he noticed the growing bulge in his pants. “How big?”
“Better take your pants off now before you ruin them,” said Lil with a huge grin. Tom did so, and they both watched his penis and balls grow to ridiculously large proportions. When it stopped, Tom was proudly erect and the tip of his shaft was even with Lil’s head.
“Oh... wow. What the hell, Lil? You can’t possibly fit...”
Lil prowled toward her husband and snuggled up against his enormous member. “I don’t care. It’s magnificent.”
Donna chuckled warmly. “I believe that means you win a change?”
Lil nodded dreamily. “Oh, yeah. Tom wins the bet. What do you want to turn me into? One of those big-titted girls you’re drooling over on the stage?”
“C... can you change her so this beast will fit? And make it so we can somehow get home without anyone noticing?”
Lil pouted. “No big boobs? C’mon, be selfish.”
“Fine. And make it so that when I make love to her, her breasts expand.”
Donna grinned. “Clever. I like it. And... done.”
Lil squirmed as she felt her body start changing. She tugged on the waist of her skirt and peeked into her panties. “Oh my! It’s getting so... This will take some getting used to.”
“Yep,” agreed Donna cheerfully, already female again. “You’ll be like this for a week or so, then gradually change back. Both of you can hide your changes, so...”
Tom stared at the monster bobbing in front of him. “How?”
“Pull your underwear up.”
Tom did so doubtfully, but as soon as his boxers brushed against his balls they started to hiss with escaping air. Before long, he could tuck his much reduced but still oversized penis down one leg of his boxers. It lay flat, and when he put his pants on it was almost unnoticeable. “I’m... deflatable?”
“Yep. It’ll inflate whenever it’s not touching fabric.”
Tom laughed. “That’s going to make showering interesting...” Lil giggled along with him.
“Go. Have fun.”
They darted forward and both gave Donna a big hug. “Oh will we ever!”
Donna grinned all the way to the green room, where more fantasy requests awaited. She turned Vanessa into a mermaid again, much to her delight, and Silvie got to dance with feathered wings. Later on, she got another couple request, for a room full of toy balls. There was no name, but when she had the room set up and her guests arrived she recognized the older man with grey hair at his temples.
“Gary, was it?”
Gary nodded. “This is Denise.” The fresh-faced woman beside him looked to be barely into her twenties, if that, but she was holding his hand and smiling up at him in a way that made Donna’s heart happy.
“Is this really where it happened?” Denise asked. “Where you made him young again?”
At Donna’s gesture, both stepped into the drifts of colourful spheres. Both of them started to shrink and before long they looked about twelve years old. “What do you think?”
Denise giggled and dove into the balls. Gary gave chase, and soon Donna changed herself to about their age and joined in the fun. After a time, the two humans pulled themselves up onto a chair and sat there panting.
“That was fun!” exclaimed Denise. “I haven’t played like that since...” She looked away. “Since Dad left.” She leaned against Gary. “Thanks for being patient with a silly girl who had too many questions and needed to get away from...”
“I know,” said Gary softly. “I never minded. You were always sweet, and so bright. So many questions! But you never forgot the answers.”
“Not when you gave them, anyway,” Denise said with a grin.
Donna awwed at the two of them. “You two are so cute together. I’m surprised Gary worried at all.”
Denise snickered. “Wasn’t on my account. Mom would have freaked if I started dating a 50 year old. Once he changed back we had to hide things. Is there any way...”
Donna gestured at the both of them, growing them back toward their natural ages. She stopped Gary’s aging at around thirty. “Better?”
“I... can you make me a little older?” asked Denise softly.
“Denise!” protested Gary. “You can’t throw away your youth.”
“I can and will. It’s not like I’m asking to lose ten years of my lifespan. I just... you see how I look, even at twenty-two I get carded all the time. Nobody believes I’m not a teenager. Nobody takes me seriously. First face to face interview and they see a silly little girl... poof, another prospect gone.” As she was speaking, Donna had already started the process. She gestured to a wall of the room and a mirror appeared there. As Gary and Denise moved to stand before it, the cascade of bright balls evaporated.
“It’s not as bad as it looks,” offered Donna as the two stood and stared. “Her body below the neck is the same. I’ve just matured her face and hands a little.”
Denise glanced down at her body, as did Gary. Both sighed happily, which made Donna giggle. “What do you think?”
“It’s perfect!” gushed Denise. She hugged Donna happily. “How long will I stay like this?”
“If you like, this is the new you. For both of you.”
Gary’s eyes went wide. “I... Yeah, I can sell this as a facelift and hair dye. Once my employees see me with Denise, they’ll understand.”
“Please?” asked Denise sweetly. “Looking the same age as Gary is perfect.”
Donna smiled, and concentrated for the briefest of moments. “Done. Go be happy together.”
“We will!”
Afterward, Donna sought out Gwen, and fretted that permanent changes were becoming too easy.
“How is that a bad thing? You’re only changing people into things they really want to be,” said Gwen reasonably after hearing the story.
“Yeah. But nothing says I have to. I could turn you into a mouse and... bah, you’d probably have fun anyway.”
Gwen squeaked from her pointed muzzle, then shifted her face back to a more human one. “Probably. The thing is, you haven’t. I don’t think you will, unless someone really, really pisses you off.”
“I’ll... try to stay under control, then.”
Gwen beeped her sweetie on the nose. “Not too much control. Crazy Eights is coming up, and everyone’s talking about raising the stakes.”
“Again?” Donna asked incredulously. “We’ve already played for permanent changes to the winner and loser.”
“Actually,” corrected Gwen, “We haven’t. You didn’t nail down Carmen’s change into Kate’s new skinsuit. She’s still annoyed about that, if you’ll believe it.”
Donna laughed. “Of her? Yeah. How long until the game?”
“About an hour. If there’s anything in the fantasy list you really want to get to, now’s the time.”
Donna nodded, and her eyes widened. “There is one thing. But it’s not exactly a fantasy. Have you seen Beth?”
Gwen nodded. “She’s playing ‘find the mole’ as Carmen Sandiego. I’ll tell her you’re looking for her when I change her back afterward.”
When Beth sought out Donna, it was with a familiar fluffy pink robe and slippers in hand. Donna smiled when she saw them. “So you did remember Clarence.”
Beth nodded. “I need to know. Is he happy? Is this really what he wants? I’ve been wearing him, but... I have to know.”
Donna gestured, and the clothing puddled together then started to rise into a fuzzy pink bunny. He only grew to a couple of feet tall, then looked around and blinked up at the two women. Beth scooped him up. “Hey Clarence. It has been a month. Still happy as a robe?”
“I...” Clarence’s voice was a soft as his body. “I was. But...” He cuddled in her arms and murred happily. “This is nicer.”
“It is. We can talk. We have a lot to talk about. Can I keep you like this for a month?”
Clarence nodded. “At least.”
“Done, then,” said Donna. “This is your body, you won’t change back to the robe or to human. But I still want to see you two next month.”
“Yes Donna,” they said in unison, then giggled. “I think I’m going to call it a night,” added Beth. “I don’t want to get caught up in Crazy Eights and become someone’s toenail.”
Donna laughed. “Or worse. Be happy, you two.”
When it was time for the game, Donna formed a large table and the usual pack of oddly-suited cards. “So I’m hearing that the plan is for a high stakes game. Winner gets to change the loser permanently. I am taking you folks at your word, I will make no effort to persuade the winner to give up their winnings in a month. If you lose, your fate is in their hands.”
“What if they lose at Crazy Eights a month or two later?” asked Tawny.
Donna shrugged. “I suppose it would only be fair to give them the choice. Freedom, or share their owner’s fate.”
Tawny nodded. “I’m in, then. Who else?” Carmen was already at the table, as was the mouse-girl Pat, who had arrived with Ray but been mostly quiet since then. Cobalt put water jugs on the table, but otherwise showed no interest in the game.
Donna smiled at the diminutive vixen girl, and called her forward. “Time for your reward, Cobalt.” When she took the platinum torc off the vixen’s neck, she blinked and stared around.
Ray shook herself then grinned up at Donna. “Are you sure that wasn’t silver?”
“Quite. Your life is about to get far more interesting than you ever imagined.”
Ray turned to the table, eyes alight at the sight of it. “I don’t doubt it. C’mon, deal me in.”
Rowan frowned at Ray. “You do understand the stakes?”
“Yeah. Sounds like my kind of game.” Ray grinned at the others. “I’ve heard so much about this...”
So Donna dealt. She and Gwen both stayed out of the game, but there were enough other players to fill the table. Carmen took an early lead, but when luck turned against her she started drawing incessantly, as if trying to come in last. Unfortunately for her, Pat seemed to have had that idea from the start, and lost by a significant margin when Vanessa laid down her last card.
Silvie sighed at her single card remaining. “So close.” Carmen’s reaction was unprintable.
Donna grinned. “We’ll deal with second first, then. Half a change. Something birdlike... perhaps head and wings?”
“Yeah. A bright parrot this time, so I can talk?”
Donna laughed. “I’m pretty sure I can manage speech no matter what species you want.”
“But I could only chirp last time I had a bird head,” said Silvie, then rolled her eyes at the expression on Donna’s face. “I guess it was kind of funny. Still parrot, please. Scarlet Macaw.”
“That’s the traditional one, red head and shoulders, rainbow wings?”
At Silvie’s nod, Donna started the transformation. The girl’s hair went bright red before becoming a cap of feathers that spread down her back and arms. The rainbow shimmer of her feathers was far brighter and more colourful than a normal parrot, but Silvie chirp-laughed at how it looked. “It’s perfect! Oh, and I can talk, too. Awk!” She giggled.
“Claws? Or normal feet?”
Silvie looked down at the rest of herself. “Oh! Claws and tail would be awesome. Or just tail, if that’s too much.”
Donna had already started the changes. “No, it’s perfect. Go show off!”
Silvie clicked her way toward the stage on her clawed feet, chirping happily as she went.
“Our turn now?” asked Vanessa. Pat was sitting in her lap, squirming with anticipation. The others were watching eagerly to see what they’d become.
“Of course. Something aquatic, I’m guessing?”
Vanessa grinned and nodded. “I want the world’s most amazing mermaid tail. The kind you wear, I mean. Long and sinuous, with enough muscle to cover and hide my legs. Purple scales, shimmery and bright.”
Donna nodded. “And Pat’s going to be this tail, I take it?”
Pat squealed happily. “I am? Sweet!” Vanessa just nodded.
“Done.” Pat started to melt in Vanessa’s arms, turning into bright purple goo before reforming over Vanessa’s legs as a long cascade of shimmery scales. Vanessa rolled to the floor and wiggled her tail. “Wait, where’d my legs go? I don’t have knees.”
Donna winked at Gwen. “My clever companion here. The bones in your legs are bistable, they can either be solid or soften into a sort of gel. So when you put your new tail on, your legs flex with it.”
“That... that’s incredible. I can be like this forever?” Tears were welling in Vanessa’s eyes.
“Yep. If you ever free Pat, you can still keep the tail. I’ll figure something out. Might not be quite so frisky, though.”
Vanessa giggled, and batted her tailfins away from her breasts. “I see. Thank you, this is perfect.”
Donna studied her for a long moment, and exchanged a look with Gwen. “Nah. Perfection requires a few more touches.” Donna handed over a purple bra made of scales, with scalloped edges to suggest seashells. “Plus... hm. Your eyes should match. And have nictitating membranes to protect them while you swim.” The changes were done before Vanessa had inched her way to a mirror to see them.
“I can’t imagine anything that would make this better,” Vanessa breathed, staring at herself.
“Think we could manage retractable webbing on her hands?” asked Gwen.
Vanessa watched in wonder as Gwen and Donna put their heads together, conversation flowing faster than any ear could follow.
Donna turned to face Vanessa again. “Would water-sensitive hands work? The membrane would grow in when it gets wet, and turn to dust when you get sufficiently dry again.”
Vanessa giggled giddily. “Oh! I’d be susceptible to water?”
“Just in your hands, really. Doing the whole mermaid tail responding to water thing might be a more than we can manage.”
“No! That’s fine. Having a little thing to hide instead of a big thing... yeah. That’s perfect. Really and truly this time.” Vanessa wiggled her fingers as she felt them tingle.
Donna smiled. “Then it is done. This is you, until you change your mind. Or lose at Crazy Eights.”
“What about fantasies?” Vanessa asked. “I love being all those singers...”
“Oh, those are fine. You’ll just naturally return to this form when we pull the magic from you, or at the end of the week if somehow we forget.”
Rowan handed Donna a slip, then. “Oh! Well, it looks like you have a fan for this shape. I’ll set up room three with a big enough pool that you can show off your new body.”
As Donna left to set the room up, Ray approached Vanessa. “If you want somewhere to show off that tail properly, I’ve got a competition-size indoor swimming pool at the estate. You’re welcome to visit or stay. There’s even a private little lake nearby, but it’s a bit cold for that just yet.”
Vanessa agreed readily. Donna returned to carry her off to room three, and Ray watched them go with a sigh. “Man, if it’s always like this I can see why you guys love this game.”
Rowan shook her head. “Pat may be a tail for a very long time. What would you do if you lost?”
Ray shrugged. “You’d manage this place fine without me. You always do better on the nights when I’m not around. Jerry takes care of my money and makes sure all the bills get paid. Everyone would be fine. Sure, I might get bored stuck as someone’s possession for months, but the risk is what makes the game exhilarating! I’m betting... *me*.”
“No you weren’t,” said Donna, sidling up beside Gwen and giving her a hug. “I wouldn’t have changed you.”
“What?” protested Ray. “Why not?”
“Your body is Moon-gifted. I’d never gainsay Her. Come back in a month, and we’ll talk. But for now... this is you.”
Ray’s eyes went wide. “But I already spent a month...” She frowned. “Was that real?”
Donna shook her head. “No, that was... a test. This next month will be even more of one. Spend some of it as Cobalt.” As she spoke, Donna glowed and her voice deepened as she grew tall enough to crowd the ceiling.
Ray looked more than a little dazed, and curtsied low in front of Donna’s radiant form. “Yes, Mistress.”
Donna returned to a more normal size and form, then deliberately shaped herself into the four-armed snake-woman Ray had made of her the previous month. She pulled Ray up into a warm hug. “You’ve taken the first step on a long journey.”
Ray chuckled. “Interesting times ahead?”
“The best kind, yes. That, and you could stand to learn a little of Cobalt’s humility. Plus I’m sure Unit Kate and your housekeeper won’t object to some help around the place. It’s going to get busy.”
“Awesome.”
The rest of the night was something of an anticlimax. Donna let herself return to Gwen’s headband as they stage-managed several transformation themed fantasies. One of them led to one of the regulars dancing up on stage in a sexy female body after a half-hour of lessons from Neysa. He decided to stay that way for the rest of the week, so he could keep dancing at the club, and Donna agreed with Rowan that they’d have a new dancer soon.
Two of the fantasies were something new, women coming in by themselves to get an ‘upgrade’. Donna dealt with both at the same time, and they decided to become shopping buddies for the new bras and tops they would need. Donna gave them Pauline’s address, as neither was going to be able to get bras off the shelf.
At the end of the night, Gwen reminded Donna of some of the promises they’d made. “We’re going to need to bank a lot of magic for tomorrow.”
“And for next month. Courtney’s wing party is three weeks away.”
“Ooh!” Gwen clapped eagerly. “Am I invited?”
“Aw, it wouldn’t be a proper party without Aunty Gwen along. I’ll stash enough magic in our silver boxes to last until then. How much will you need for the party tomorrow?”
Gwen shrugged. “Boxes and boxes of it, I bet.”
Two large wooden cases appeared in the dressing room, and started to rapidly fill with shimmering marbles. When it was done, Gwen could only stare at how much power was sitting in front of her. “Wow. Yeah, that should do it, unless they go really crazy.”
“Cool.” Donna hugged her friend tight. “Take care. And remember, I’ll never be far away while you’re wearing that.” She touched the glowing moon-crystal on Gwen’s forehead.
“I get to keep it?”
Donna nodded. “Only the best for my Priestess.”
“Donna...” Gwen sighed, but her lips were curling into a fond grin.
Donna winked, then faded away to awaken at home.
