Ms. Dennison calmly strolled into the classroom, her high heels clacking on the floor. The teens lounging there turned to look at her authoritarian figure, and straightened in their seats. “Friday night detention, again. My there are a lot of you tonight.” She eyed one student who had a grin on his face. “Barry, this is the fourth time this month. You’re starting to make a habit of it.”
The sandy-haired teen laughed. “I guess I just can’t help myself.”
Ms. Dennison closed and locked the classroom door. “Well. Since it’s just us and the custodian in the school, time to get down to business. You’re all here because you’re brats. I’m here because... well, I enjoy this part.” She set her utilitarian black purse down on the desk, and withdrew a slim wooden wand. Several of the students snickered, but Barry’s grin just got wider.
“Abigail,” called out Ms. Dennsion, reading from the list that had been left on the desk.
A girl in the back raised her hand. “Here. I guess.”
Ms. Dennison pointed the wand at her. “Abacus.” The girl looked confused, then worried as she started to shrink. Her body hardened and divided into rods and beads, wood framing the lot. Ms. Dennison clacked her way between the desks and picked up her handiwork. She flicked the beads to and fro with a grin. “Useful. If we didn’t all have calculators on our phones, anyway.” She set the abacus on top of the desk.
“Barry, I already know.”
Barry grinned back at her. “Yep.”
“Bra.” The wand flicked in his direction, and Barry’s skin darkened to a rich lavender as he shrunk. Soon Ms. Dennison was picking up the pretty lace bra that was sitting in his chair. She tucked it into her purse then turned back to the class. “Cordelia?”
The named girl raised her hand. “Here. Do I have to be a thing?”
“Have to? No. Will? Yes. Chalk.” The wand flicked at the girl, and she pouted as her skin turned pale.
“Fooey,” was all she managed before she’d shrunk away to a cylinder. Ms. Dennison set the resulting stick of chalk neatly beside the others in the chalkboard’s tray.
“Edward?” She pointed the wand at the boy who’d raised his hand. “Eraser. To go with the chalk.” Soon he was tucked beside it.
Gina sighed. “It’s hardly a punishment. We know they change back in a few hours.”
Ms. Dennison shrugged. “It keeps you all quiet.”
“That’s the reason? You turn us into things to keep us quiet?” Gina asked, incredulously.
“Not the only reason.” Ms. Dennison glanced at her purse and allowed herself a secret smile.
“Bitch,” muttered Gina, shortly before she turned into a pack of gum.
Ms. Dennison picked up the pack of gum and carried it to the desk. She opened a drawer, and dropped it inside. “She’s mostly right.” Several students in the class sighed with relief, then a few picked up on the ‘mostly’. “The wand’s effects are temporary. The changes last from two to ten hours, so you’ll all go home tonight.”
She waited for the stir that caused to die down. “All of you but Gina. If there isn’t room to change back... you won’t. So no backtalk.”
The angry murmuring died swiftly when the loudest one, Jim, turned into a jukebox.
“Maria?”
“Here, Ms. Dennison.” She stood up and posed by her desk. “May I be a marble statue?”
“But of course.” Maria smiled and held her pose as whiteness washed over her form, leaving her clothed in a marble toga but otherwise retaining a perfect resemblance. Ms. Dennison paused for some time to admire her handiwork. “Pity she’ll change back. She’s lovely like this.”
“I don’t think she wanted to be a statue forever,” said the girl that had been sitting next to Maria.
“True. She would look lovely in a museum, however. I suppose someone would miss her in time,” said Ms. Dennsion with a sigh, turning to Maria’s friend. “Nancy, was it?”
Nancy nodded. “Can I be something pretty?”
“You’d make a lovely necklace,” said Ms. Dennison with a flick of her wand, and Nancy nodded as her skin turned to gold. Once the change was complete, she picked up her handiwork and draped it about Maria’s neck. “Very lovely indeed. And no, she won’t prevent Maria from changing back. Maria will have to take her off before she can, though.”
“Will Maria know that?” asked another girl.
“I do hope she figures it out in time. She’ll have most of a day to do so before the change is permanent.”
“What? Nancy might get stuck by accident?”
“Possibly.”
“But someone will surely miss her!” protested the girl.
Ms. Dennison consulted the list, and shook her head. “Nope. She’s an orphan, just like you, Trudy. I could turn you into a turnip and stick you in the ground, and nobody would know.”
Trudy’s eyes filled with tears. “Please don’t. I hate dirt.”
“Hm. Fair enough. Towel.” Trudy shrank away, and when she was done Ms. Dennison folded her neatly on top of her desk. “Darn, we’ve gotten out of order. Oliver?”
One of the three remaining boys raised his hand. “Not an olive, please.”
Ms. Dennison smirked. “That would be too obvious. Oval.” With a flick of her wand Oliver started to contract, his limbs vanishing into an increasingly round body.
“Oval?” He asked incredulously, but his head was gone before he could get an answer. An ovoid fleshy form sat in his desk.
The boy beside him snickered. “Good one Ms. D.”
“Ah, Peter. You’re here as often as Barry.” A flick of her wand later she had a pair of panties to match her new bra, and stuffed them into her purse.
“I guess that leaves me,” said the last boy. “What are you going to do with Xander?”
Ms. Dennison sighed. “Who even names their kid something like that?”
Xander shrugged. “They wanted something different. Are you going to go with the hoary old standbys of x-ray or xylophone?”
“I was... but now I can’t. Let’s see... Xerox?”
“Oh come on, that’s a proper name.”
Ms. Dennison nodded her agreement. “Fine. Xenon? No, you’d drift away and might not reform. This is a pickle.” She turned to a bookshelf and pulled out a heavy dictionary. “Xylene? No, that’s just a kind of cell. Oh, here we are. Xylocarp.”
“What the heck is that?”
“A fruit, such as a coconut, having a hard woody pericarp,” quoted Ms. Dennison.
“Ah. Well, it’s different anyway.”
“Xylocarp!” Cried Ms. Dennison, brandishing the wand dramatically. Soon a round brown form lay where Xander had been standing. She set it on her desk, then picked up her purse. She paused briefly, then sighed and scribbled a post-it for Maria to tell her about the necklace.
She unlocked the door and left it open. “When you change back, you can go.” Then she walked away.

Lorraine was lying in bed, sheened with sweat, when her bra started changing back. She sighed, and rolled away from the teen that was reforming. “Hey Barry.”
“Hey Ms. Dennison. We’ve got to stop meeting like this.” He looked down at the panties that were around her ankles. “Is Pete going to join us?”
“Nah. I tied a ribbon around him to keep him from changing.”
Barry shuddered. “You’re not going to let him change back, like Gina? He’ll be stuck forever?”
Lorraine laughed. “They’re not stuck forever. The wand can change them back to human.”
“But only for a few hours. That’d suck.”
“No, if you say ‘Restore’, they go back to normal and stay that way. C’mon, I’ll show you.”
She got dressed in fresh clothes, picked up the panties, and went out to her back yard. Tall hedges ringed it, making it quite private. She tugged the ribbon off the panties, then pointed the wand at it. “Restore!”
Soon Pete was standing there, grinning like a fool. “Darn. I was hoping to end up in your panty drawer for the weekend.”
Lorraine raised an eyebrow. “You... want to be panties?”
“You’re the sexiest teacher in school. We’re not the only ones who’d jump at the chance. Just the only ones with the right names.”
“But you’re students. It’d be wrong...”
Barry laughed. “Worse than turning us into things and taking us home?”
“There’s no rule against that,” said Lorraine dismissively.
“Turning students into things permanently has to be against some kind of rule.”
“I was bluffing. I’ll change Gina back Monday morning. She’ll be much more docile after being just a pack of gum for the weekend.”
Pete shook his head and headed out to the road. “I’ll catch the bus home. But next weekend... don’t take the ribbon off.”
Lorraine went back into her house and sat heavily on a kitchen chair. She rolled the wand back and forth on the kitchen table, staring at it.
“Penny for your thoughts,” said Barry, eliciting a startled squeak from his teacher.
“I just... I never expected I’d find someone would actually like this kind of thing.” She looked up at him. “Do you really?”
“Getting to hold your boobs rocks. But you know what I’d like even more?”
Lorraine shook her head.
“Turning you into a love doll.” The wand in his hand flicked at her, and her eyes went very wide as her skin acquired a plastic sheen.
“Barry!” she shouted. Any further protests were stilled as her mouth pulled into an O.
Barry smirked and held up the ribbon that she’d used on Pete. He tied it around one wrist. “There’s nothing in the guidebook that says a student can’t screw a love doll that just happens to look like his teacher.”
Lorraine tried to formulate a protest, but she couldn’t even move. As Barry carried her to her own bedroom and lay her on the bed, she fought against the rising arousal. She was stuck like this. She might be missed by the school, but nobody else would come looking for her. But as Barry started to play with her, she stopped caring about that. About anything except the next touch, the next... ooooooh!
Much later, once Barry had had his fun, the doll managed to gather its thoughts enough to decide that it was pretty happy with a fate that felt so good.
The End

“April Fool!” cried Barry, as he tugged the ribbon off the doll’s wrist.
Lorraine sat up, blinking as her body became hers to control once more. “It’s after noon. Long, long after noon.”
“Still worth it for the look on your face. Did you really think I was going to keep you as a love doll Ms. Dennison?”
Lorraine hugged her arms about herself. “By the end... I was hoping you would. What do we do now? I’ve had sex with a student, I’m so screwed.”
“No you haven’t.”
Lorraine looked at him in confusion. “But I felt...”
Barry held up one of the toys from her bedside table. “I used this. I know you think I’m just some punk, but... I do have standards.”
“Oh... God, I want you so bad right now.”
“But you’d get fired. Then I wouldn’t get to play the alphabet game in detention any more.”
“You graduate in two months. I can hold out that long. Maybe.”
Barry grinned. “I’ll make it worth it, Ms. Dennison.”
“Call me Lorrie.”
“Until then, Lorrie.” He turned the vibrator on and tossed it to her.
“What?”
“Love doll.”
Lorraine scrambled to get the vibrator in place before her hands stopped working. Barry grinned at the sight, leaned down and kissed her plastic cheek. Then he tied the ribbon around her wrist. “I’ll be back tomorrow.”
