Deep Pockets

“Hey, honey, look at these!”

Gary turned away from the display of vintage postcards he’d been admiring and sought out his wife.  A flash of red hair led him in the right direction, and he found her two stalls over.  She was holding up what looked like a shallow cloth bag, perhaps three inches across and no more than that deep.

“It’s a bag, Leona.  So?”

Leona put her hand into it, and pulled out her purse.  It was the sort of purse that you could store phone-books in, and Gary was convinced that it was lead-lined due to the weight.  The neck of the bag stretched a little as the purse emerged from it, then snapped back to its original size.

“They’re selling bags of holding?  Real ones?  How much?”

The cheerful woman behind the table named a price that made Gary hesitate, it was their entire flea-market budget for the whole day.  Leona saw that look, and got an impish one of her own.  She stuck her arm into the bag all the way up to her shoulder, and waggled it at Gary.

“How much for a set of four?”

They settled down to haggle in earnest, and ended up with five bags for about half again what the woman had been asking for just the one.

“Hold my purse,” said Leona imperiously once they were done.  Gary pushed it into one of the pockets with a grin, then folded the bag into squares and tucked it into his pocket.

He grinned at Leona.  “That was eas... what are you doing?”  Leona had wriggled her free arm halfway into a second bag.

“Give me a hand, here?”

Gary chuckled.  “As you wish, dear.  But it’s it more a case of taking away your hand.”  He tugged the bag up until it was snug against her other shoulder, much like the first.

Leona smiled at him winningly, and posed in her arm-caps.  “What do you think?”

“You look incredible like that.”

The saleswoman handed Gary the rest of their bags, and a business card.  “If anything weird happens, give me a call.”

“Weird?  How weird?”

“Don’t worry.  Nothing harmful.  But from the way your sweetie is taking to the bags...  Have fun.  And call me.”

Gary looked over at where Leona was admiring herself in an ornate mirror.  The way she looked without her arms seemed almost natural, lending her willowy figure an otherworldly grace.

She kept the bags on all the way back to the car, and waited by her door for Gary to help her in.  He even had to buckle her seatbelt for her.

As they drove home Gary asked just how long Leona intended to keep the bags on.  She grinned, and asked, “Think we can order dinner in, tonight?”

“You want to stay like that all day?”

“And all night.  And maybe tomorrow, too.”

“What do you figure you’ll do with the day?  It’s not like you can do any gardening without arms.”

“Bah.  To heck with gardening.  The yard will still be there next week.  Let’s pack a lunch in one of these bags and go for a hike instead.  Pack a couple towels and some bathing suits, too.  We can head up to Lost Lake.”

“Heck, I bet I could pack a volleyball net and some beach chairs in these things.”

Leona giggled.  “I don’t think I can play volleyball like this.”

“OK, punt on the volleyball net.  The folding camp chairs should fit, though.”

So lunch went into one bag, along with a tablecloth and two beach towels.  The camp chairs went into another.  Both got folded and tucked into Gary’s pockets.  “Wow,” he said when he was done. “This is going to make hiking way easier.  I wonder how much they can hold?”

“Experiment later.  Let’s go for that hike now, so we have lots of sun at the lake.”

The hike itself took the better part of an hour.  Gary let Leona lead, so he could watch her lithe form wriggle its way along narrow trails and through bushes.  He especially liked how her bum moved when she was hopping over rocks.  Leona grinned back at him a few times when she noticed him watching, and gave an extra wiggle to jolly him on.

When they reached the lake Leona laughed.  “That was the easiest hike I’ve ever done.”

“Same here.  C’mon, lets have lunch, I’m famished.”

Gary pulled out the tablecloth and towels, and set out their lunch.  He’d even tucked a bud vase in with the rest, and picked a small bouquet of wildflowers to fill it.  Leona carefully folded her legs to sit on her towel, and watched as Gary started to eat.  After he’d finished his first half sandwich she coughed significantly.

“Oh!  Right.  I guess you can’t feed yourself.  Did you want an arm back?”

Leona shook her head and smiled her most winning smile.  Garey had never been able to say no to that smile, so he moved over to sit beside her.  With one arm around his wife, fingers playing over the bag covering her shoulder, he fed her bites of sandwich and popped cherry tomatoes into her mouth.

After they were both full, Leona asked for some help in getting out of her sundress so she could tan.  She didn't bother with the bathing suit, as there was nobody else around.

“Don't you want to tan your arms, too?” asked Gary after he'd put his bathing suit on.

Leona was still staring at Gary’s lean body, and took a moment to change focus to his question.  “Nah.  They get plenty of sun, this lets me catch up with the rest.”

“If you say so.”

The lake wasn't a large one, and Gary swam its width several times before deciding it was time for a little nap beside Leona.  He woke to the feel of teeth pulling down his trunks, and chuckled.  “You're very determined.”

Leona flashed him a grin, then got back to work.  Soon she had his trunks down to his knees, and he wriggled away from her to kick them off.  Leona rolled onto her back, and cooed, “C'mon, sweetie.  You know you want to.”

“Don't have to ask me twice.”

Making love to Leona in the open, worrying someone might emerge from the bushes mid-act was distracting enough that Gary barely noticed the absence of her arms.  The noises that she was making would surely tell anyone within a mile what was going on.  Soon, even that didn't matter.

After they'd cooled down some and had time to tidy up, they heard someone very audibly crashing through the bushes, as if to announce their presence.  Gary fumbled his shorts on, and was helping Leona into her bathing suit when the crashing ended with the emergence of a familiar blonde woman in hiking shorts and a T-shirt.

“Hey Leona,” she called out, cheerfully.  “Having a nice aftern... what happened to your arms?”

“Hey Cindy.  Nothing happened, I just found these cool bags at the flea market.  What do you think?”  Leona sat up and posed for her friend.

“Uh, Leona...  What bags?”

“The ones on my...”  Leona stared at her bare, armless shoulders.  “Oops.”

Gary looked around, and found the bags lying on the blanket where they'd made love.  “Here they are.”

“Are my arms in them?” asked Leona, weakly.

Gary felt around inside, sticking his arm in up to the elbow, then shook his head.  “Nope.”

“What are those?” asked Cindy, staring.

“Bags of holding.  Everything we've put in them has come back... uh, until the arms.  Leona was wearing them for a long time.”

“And while you two boinked, I'm guessing?”

Leona chuckled, while Gary just blushed.

“Think that had something to do with it?” asked Cindy.

“Maybe.  I should call the person we got these from.”

“How?  There's no coverage out here,” fretted Leona.

“Maybe if you put them back on?” suggested Cindy, weakly.

Gary shoved one of the bags over Leona's shoulder, pushing it even flatter than before in his haste.  He was about to pull it off again, then hesitated.  “Maybe it has to be on for a while?”

Leona shrugged, and gestured at the other bag.  Gary put it on, as well, smoothing it out to match the first.  “Like this I can pretend everything's going to go back to normal,” Leona said with a weak chuckle.

“Do you want it to?” asked Gary.

Leona bit her lip, then slowly shook her head.  “Not yet.”

Gary tugged the bags off.  Before, there had been small rounded stumps where the bags had been, protruding from Leona's shoulders.  Now, even that was gone.  Her shoulders rounded down against her ribs smoothly, looking sleeker than before.

“Uh, did you mean to do that?” asked Cindy, as Leona and Gary stared at the changed shoulders.

“No.”  “Maybe.”

Gary stared at Leona.  “You wanted this?”

“Uh... it’s more like I could clearly see myself like this.  I’ve spent long enough without arms today that I didn’t expect to see my arms.”

“So if you expected something else”, mused Cindy...  “Can I borrow a bag?”

Gary handed her one with the slightest of sighs.  “I’m going to be carrying both of you home, aren’t I?”

“Maybe,” giggled Cindy.  She stuck her hand into the bag, then closed her eyes and scrunched up her face cutely.  What came out was a perfectly normal hand.  “Fooey.”

“I guess it’s not that simple,” said Gary.  “Leona, what did you do?”

Leona shrugged her empty shoulders.  “I don’t know.  I guess I expected that my shoulders would be like that.  I wasn’t trying to do anything special, really.”

Cindy put the bag over her hand again.  “Come on...”

“Hey, what’s that?” said Gary, pointing off into the woods.

Both women turned to look, and while they were distracted, Gary yanked the bag off Cindy’s hand.

“What was that all about?” asked Leona, then her eyes widened.  “Cindy, your hand!”

Cindy stared down at where her hand had been.  Her left arm now ended at the wrist.  “Oh!  Well, that’s not what I was trying to do.”

“But it was how you’d seen your body last,” said Gary.

Cindy stuck her stump in the bag again, then looked away.  She held the bag out toward Gary, and a moment later he pulled it off.

“It’s still a hand,” said Gary.  “But...”

Cindy spread her fingers wide, and a translucent membrane stretched between them.  “Webbed fingers!  It worked!  I’ve always wanted these.  Come on, do my other hand.”

Soon Cindy’s hands matched once more, and she started shucking out of her shorts.

“Cindy!” exclaimed Leona.

Gary chuckled, and turned away.  “It’s OK.  But I don’t know if the bags can stretch enough to go over her hips.”

When Leona gave him the all clear to turn around, it was quite apparent that they did indeed stretch enough.  Cindy’s body ended at the edge of her ribcage, the rest was hidden inside the bag, which was stretched so tight it looked like someone had taken a sword to her waist.

“Would you do the honors?” she asked, uncharacteristically demure.  “I need to focus on my dream body.”

Gary nodded, and knelt beside where Cindy was lying on his beach towel.  “Ready when you are.”

Cindy stared up into the sky, eyes unfocused.  “Give me a little bit, but don’t warn me when you start.  Pull it off fast, and... farther than you’d think.”

Gary waited until he could see that Cindy’s vision was on something far, far away, then tugged.  He was surprised to see that anything at all emerged, and doubly so that it wasn’t flesh.  Shining blue scales emerged, foot after foot of them.  The body tapered, thinner and thinner as Gary shifted to pull the bag further along.  Finally a spray of cartilaginous rays emerged, bearing a membrane forming a broad, forked tail.

Gary looked back up at Cindy from where he was kneeling, taking in the length of tail and her upper body.  “You’re... a mermaid?”

Cindy squealed.  “I’m a mermaid!  Finally!  Thank you thank you thank you thank you!”

“I’m guessing you’d like me to carry you into the lake?”

“Pleeeeease?  It’d be so much easier than wriggling my way to the water.”

“Of course.”  Gary looped one arm under Cindy where scales met flesh, and the other somewhat below were her hips would have been.  “Woah.   You’re pretty heavy.”

“Leona, Gary’s being mean to me.”

Leona laughed, and used her well-developed abs to pull herself to a sitting position.  “You’re almost twice as long as you used to be.  You probably are a good bit heavier.”

“You’re both mean.  And I don’t care.  Swimming, now!”

“Yes, master,” intoned Gary in his best Igor voice.  He carefully lifted with his legs, and staggered to the lake.  Cindy got dumped in with an unceremonious splash.  With a flip of her tail she was off like a rocket, drenching Gary with the spray.

Leona wobbled to her feet, then padded up beside Gary, leaning against him as they watched Cindy dart this way and that across the lake.  “She’s very agile like that.”

“As are you,” said Gary with a grin, turning to admire Leona’s abbreviated form.  She pirouetted and jumped, showing off how much more mobile she was with the reduced weight.

Leona stopped, and frowned.  “Where’s Cindy?  I haven’t heard her in a bit.”

Gary turned to stare into the lake.  “There,” he pointed.  “On the bottom.  Um, she’s not moving.  Can mermaids breathe underwater?”

“Not if their top half never got changed!  She’s drowning!” Leona shouted in alarm.  “Save her!”

Gary dove into the water, swimming powerfully downward.  Cindy didn’t move, didn’t resist as he dragged her back to to the surface.  He got her head and shoulders up onto the shore, and she coughed up lungfuls of water.

Leona and Gary sighed with relief as Cindy sat up, sputtering on the last of the water.  Then Leona lit into her.  “What on earth were you thinking? You could have died down there.”

Cindy coughed weakly.  “I honestly thought I had gills.”  Her voice was hoarse.  “Took in a big gulp of water and... ugh.  Thanks for the save, Gary.  I owe you.”

“Then give yourself legs for the walk home.”

“Now?” whined Cindy, giving Gary a piteous look.  It wasn’t quite as effective as Leona’s, but then Leona turned her own puppy-dog eyes on Gary and he gave in.

“Fine.  Another hour, then we go.  It’s going to be dark before we get to the car if we’re not careful.”

“Whee!”  Cindy dove back into the water, and was soon churning it to froth.

“I’m getting tired just looking at her,” said Leona.  “I’m going to catch the last of the rays.”  She returned to her towel.  “Help me out of my suit?”

Gary spent the next hour alternately ogling his naked, armless wife and the equally naked mermaid dancing through the lake.

When the hour was up, Cindy returned to shore with ill grace, and let Gary bag her tail.  But when he pulled the bag off, the tail was still there.  They tried several times.  On the third try, her lower body disappeared entirely.

“I don’t think we’re making progress, here.”

“Hey, at least I’m more portable like this.”

Gary laughed.  “True.  You’d be even more portable reduced to a head.”

From the way both of them gasped, Gary figured he’d have an easier time selling Leona on it.  Instead, Cindy was the first to speak up.  “Do it.  Leona can make it back without help, she still has legs.”

“For now.”

“Give me strength.  Are you sure, Cindy?”

Cindy nodded.  “We’ll figure it out once you get home.”

Gary stretched the bag over Cindy’s rib cage, and she tucked her hands down the sides of it.
It took surprisingly little effort to slide it further up her body.  The bag snagged on her breasts for a moment, but a tuck here and a tuck there took care of them, too.  Cindy’s grin at that was matched by Leona’s frown.

Gary wasn’t prepared for the way the bag would snap tight once it was past her shoulders, and accidentally plunged Cindy’s head all the way into it.  He stared down at the bag.  He’d already seen the lunch basket and the chairs vanish once they were all the way inside the bag, but this was a person.  As far as he could tell by looking at it, the bag was empty.  “Cindy?” he called out uncertainly.

“Here,” came here muffled voice from the bag.  “Wherever here is.  It’s dark.  And I can’t feel my... well, anything.”

“How are you talking then?  Or breathing?”

“Beats me.  Can you give me a hand out of here?  At least my face?”

Gary reached in and felt about for Cindy.  The first thing he encountered was a breast, which got a coo from her and a blush from Gary.  He traced his way up to her chin, and tugged.  Cindy’s face appeared out of the bag.  “Yay, I can see.”

“Congratulations,” said Gary archly.  He packed up the rest of their stuff into other bags, helped Leona into her dress, and they set off.

The sun was still well above the horizon by the time they made it back to their vehicles.  Gary and Leona got into theirs.  “Sorry, Cindy, we’ll have to leave your van here for now.  I don’t think you and Leona could tag-team drive it.”

“Can I at least have my body back?  I’m starting to forget what it looked like, and I think that might be bad.”

With a little help from Gary, Cindy emerged from the bag once more.  Her fingers were still webbed, and her scales now started just below her breasts.  Gary stopped pulling on the bag at hip level, so that Cindy could fit in the back seat.  Unfortunately, the first time they hit a bump heading down the rocky logging road back to civilization Cindy slipped into the bag.  By the time they were back at the highway, all that was left was her breasts, arms, and head.

“This isn’t working,” Cindy sighed.  “Just shove me back in the bag.”

Gary pulled over just short of the on-ramp.  “I could do that.  Are you sure?  It’s still half an hour to our place.”

“I’ll manage.  I’ve got a pretty firm idea of how I’m supposed to look, really.”

“And that’s a mermaid?”

Cindy giggled.  “You should see the art in my bedroom.”

Gary snorted.  “Right.  Like Leona wants me in there.”

“I’ve seen it,” chimed in Leona.  “It’s all mermaids, and most of them have her face.  How much have you spent on commissions over the years, girl?”

“Not enough, not by half.  But now... I can just take pictures!  This will be so cool.”

Gary shook his head.  “What if you’re stuck as a mermaid?”

“Wouldn’t be the worst thing.  If you can spare me a bag, I can get around in a wheelchair during the day, and take it off to swim.”

“Show me how you’d do that.”

Cindy shrugged, and worked the bag down past her hips, such as they were.  She stopped when the bag touched the floor in front of her seat.  “Oh!  Yeah, this should work better for the drive.  Fooey.  Being in a bag would be cooler.”

“I know!  Hey, I have an idea.  Cindy can have my seat, and I’ll travel in a bag.”

Gary stared at Leona for a long moment, then shook his head.  “No.  I’d be afraid your legs wouldn’t come back.”  He pulled out onto the highway before Leona could bring the puppy eyes to bear, and steadfastly avoided looking at her as he drove.

At their house, Gary wasn’t so lucky.  Cindy pulled her bag back up to her breasts, then tucked her elbows in and lifted.  All that was left was a couple of hands sticking out of the bag.  Leona giggled at the sight.  “Me next.”

“Leona...”

“Trust me.  It’ll be great!”

Gary sighed, and nodded.  “As you wish, dear.”  He wiggled a bag up both legs at once, then over her hips.  From there it was easy to slide it all the way to her neck.

“All the way, please.  I want the full experience.”

“Want me to fold you up and tuck you in my pocket, too?”

“Oooh!  Yes please.”

Gary rolled his eyes, then did just that.  He carried the hand-bag in his hands, and set it on the kitchen table.  The very next thing was to unfold the bag Leona was in, and ask if she could breathe.

“Yeah.  Have you done it already?”

“You were folded up for about a minute.”

“Oh.  Huh.  Do it again, for longer this time.”

Gary sighed.  He could hear the eyes, even if he couldn’t see them.  “Yes dear.  Folding in three, two, one.”  He folded the bag up, and watched two minutes go by on the kitchen clock.  When he unfolded it he called out, “And that’s two minutes.”

“No way!  It seemed like no time at all in here.”

Gary reached in and found his wife’s hair.  He tugged gently, and soon her head had emerged from the bag.  “There you are.”  He leaned in to kiss her soundly.

“Mmmm, a girl could get used to being disappeared if she got a kiss like that whenever she came back.”

Gary shook his head.  “I’d miss you too much.  C’mon, let’s get the rest of you back.”

“Wait a minute.  Fold Cindy up first.”

“Hey!”  Cindy’s hands tugged on the sides of the bag, and her head emerged from it.  “Don’t I get a say in this?”

“Nope,” said Leona.  “You got enough of a show earlier.  Do it, Gary.”

“Sorry, Cindy.  I’ll bring you back soon.”

Cindy rolled her eyes.  “Fine.  Catch you on the flip side.”

A few quick shoves, a fold, and Cindy’s muttering voice disappeared.

“Carry me to the bedroom,” commanded Leona.

“But of course, madame.  It would be my pleasure.”  Gary carried Leona’s head against his chest.  “My, but you’re light like this.  Would have made it so much easier to carry you across the threshold.”

Leona snickered.  “Careful, sweetie.  I might decide I like being just a head.  In fact... leave the bag on and drop trou.”

“What?”  At Leona’s look, Gary set her on the bed, and disrobed.  “Now what?”

“Now for the weirdest blow job you’ve ever had.”

Gary grinned.  “But not, I suspect, the weirdest I’m ever going to get.”

Leona laughed, and her neck-stump wobbled in a way that would have made her head nod if she’d had a body.  Gary found it incredibly cute.  “You’re right.  I bet I can figure out some way to top it.”

And then she was making much better use of that mouth than for talking.

Once she was done, Gary was prostrate on the bed and drifting toward sleep.

“Hey!  Wake up.  You’re not done yet here, mister.  No sleeping on the job.”

“Mrrh?”  Gary sat up, and Leona tumbled from his chest to his lap.

“First, you need to clean us up.  And second, you need to get this bag off of me and give as good as you got.”

A few minutes later, they were back in bed.  Gary started tugging on the bag at Leona’s neck, and it slid down to reveal the expected empty shoulders.  When he got past her breasts, he frowned.  “Wait a minute.”

Leona grinned hugely.  “It worked!  It worked!  I have bigger boobs than Cindy!”

Gary stared down at them.  “Holy crap.  And... of course.  Hers are smooshed up in a bag with the rest of her.”

“Not what I meant and you know it!”

“So why don’t you have arms, if you figured this out?”

“Uh...”  Leona looked to the side.  “Crap.  I’m so used to this look now...”

Gary sighed, and pulled the bag the rest of the way off his sweetie.  Then stared down at her in shock.  “Leona!  What happened to your legs?”

Leona grinned up at him and licked her lips.  “Don’t need ‘em for what I want.”

Gary rolled his eyes and climbed up onto the bed beside her.  “You’re turning yourself into a sex object.”

“Mmm.  I know.  God, I’m so turned on.”

“What?  Why?”

“Don’t you get it?  I don’t want to choose.  I’ve chosen you, and...”  Leona bit her lip, looking away.

“What?”

“It’s not enough.  Almost.  One more thing...”

“Anything.”

“Put the bag over my head.”

“You have got to be kidding.  Will you even be able to breathe?”

“Everything else has been safe.  This will be, too.”

“How can you be so sure?  I'll worry.”

Leona sighed.  “Fine.  Put it on for just a minute, then take it off.”

Gary reluctantly did just that, then stared down at his truncated wife.  Just the essentials, and such luscious ones at that.  He ran his fingertips down her side, and the way she trembled at his touch was so familiar that he continued to tease her to arousal, and quite forgot about the bag.  It was clear from her vigorous enthusiasm that she was in no distress, so when he looked up and saw the absence of her head he just smiled and carried on.  This was what she's wanted after all, to be treated like an object.  He took his pleasure, and the thrashing of her body made it clear he was not alone.

This time, there was no-one to wake him, so he slept until dinnertime.  When he woke, he leaned over and kissed the stump of Leona's neck.  His lips brushed skin instead of fabric and he pulled back in alarm.  The bag had fallen off while they were making love, again.  Leona was stuck like this.

Gary sat there for a minute as he contemplated her torso.  She was beautiful, even the rounded curve where her neck ended seemed perfect.  Should he leave her like this?  Could he?

He traced a finger from the tip of her neck, down between her breasts, drawing it away as he passed her belly button.  She flexed her body, trying to lift her hips into his touch.  That almost set Gary to lovemaking again, but then he sighed and reached for the bag instead.

Setting the bag on her neck stump and removing it a few seconds later had no effect.  Leona remained headless.  He tried it twice more, to no effect.  Worse, despite her lack of head or other limbs, he could feel Leona’s impatience with him in her posture.  The next time he tried to put the bag on her head, she wriggled away from it.

Gary threw the bag down in frustration.  “Don’t you want to go back to normal?”  Leona’s only answer was to lay back and wriggle her hips seductively.

“I need backup.  Cindy?  Oh no, Cindy!”

Gary dashed out of the room, still naked.  He found Cindy’s bag on the kitchen counter, unfolded it, and reached inside.  He got her tail, shrugged, and pulled anyway.  Tail-first, Cindy flopped onto the counter.  “Cindy, you have to help!”

“What the who now?”

“Leona erased her head.”

Cindy’s eyes went wide.  “Show me.”

Gary grunted and strained to lift Cindy, and she sighed.  “Just bag my tail. Make it easy on yourself.”

Soon Cindy was reduced to a familiar state - the bag was snuggled up under her bust once more.  Like this she was easy enough to carry, and soon Gary set her down on the bed beside Leona.  “See?”

“God, she’s hot like this.”

“I know!  And making love to her like this is something else again.  I’d keep her like this, but... how will she eat?  For that matter, what happens when she needs to use the toilet?”

“Ew.  Decidedly unsexy.  Uh... so put the bag on her head?”

“Don’t you think I tried that?  She doesn’t want to change back.”  Gary demonstrated, and Leona obligingly squirmed away from the bag touching her neck.

“Well.  I’d suggest rubber sheets.”

“Cindy!”

“Fine, fine...  Wasn’t there someone you wanted to call about this?”

Gary’s eyes went wide, then he dashed out of the room in search of the business card.  After a frantic search, he spotted it on the kitchen floor.  It had slid part-way under the shoe rack.  He returned to the bedroom with his prize in hand, and it fluttered to the floor from nerveless fingers.

Cindy had taken off her bag, and now her arms and tail were twined about Leona’s reduced body.  She looked up at Gary and blushed.  “I, uh... just wanted to relax, and...”

“So hot...”  Gary shook his head.  “I don’t blame you.”

Cindy reluctantly unwound her body from Leona’s.  “She told you about us?”

“Yeah.  You were lovers in university.  Off and on, anyway.  Are you still holding a torch for her?”

Cindy nodded.  “Why do you think I was at the lake?  I was hoping for a peek, and got so much more...”

“How did you even know we were at the lake?”

Cindy looked away, then whispered, “GPS tracking app on your phones.”

“You said you were just unlocking them!”

“Might have kept the root password, too.  I’m sorry!”

Gary waved it off.  “It’s fine.  To be honest, watching you two going at it was... hell, it’s pretty much any guy’s wet dream.  If you’re up for a threesome, all is forgiven.”

Cindy sniffed, then looked back at him.  “Leona’s been talking to me about that ever since you two got together.  You’d be OK with it?”

“She had talked about it, and I’d been reluctant.  I didn’t want to mess up what we have.  But... well, look at her.  She turned herself into a sex toy for me.”

“But...”

“But we need to talk about this.  And for that, she needs her head.”

Cindy sat up, pulling Leona upright beside her.  “Then you should make the call.”

Gary found the card where it had fallen, and called the number on it.  “Uh, hi.  This is Gary, from the flea market this morning?  Yeah, the one where the redhead put her arms in the bags right away.”

“I thought you’d be calling before long,” came the voice from the other end.  “It’s not permanent.  Most people can make their arms come back by staring at a picture of themselves for a while.”

“That... might be an issue.”

“Oh?”

“She erased her head, too.  I’ve tried putting the bag over it, but she doesn’t want to change back.”

“Oooh, you lucky dog.”

“What?”

“She’ll be fine.  You just need to persuade her that having a head is a good idea.  Have fun!”

Gary stared at the phone.  “That’s it?  Persuade her that having a head is a good idea?”

“Kiss her, you fool.”

Cindy watched Gary expectantly.  He shrugged, and clambered up on the bed to kiss his sweetie between her breasts.  Then he trailed kisses up toward her neck.  With Leona distracted, Cindy slipped the bag over her neck, and as Gary nuzzled his way up her neck she slowly withdrew it.  More neck emerged, then a chin, and finally Leona’s lips.  Gary kissed her fiercely, and Cindy pulled the bag the rest of the way off, revealing Leona’s fiery mane of hair.

“Tada!”

“Awww,” pouted Leona.  “I have a head again.”

Gary laughed, and cuddled up to kiss her again.

“Mmmm.  OK, having a head has its upsides, too.”  Then Leona’s face scrunched up into a scowl.  “Oh god, I have to go pee something fierce!  Legs, legs, I need legs!”

Cindy obligingly put the bag over each leg-stump, and in moments Leona had legs once more.  She dashed into the bathroom, and much splashing of water ensued.  A minute later she called forlornly, “Sweetie?  I could use a hand, here.”

Gary carried a bag with him, and tucked it over her shoulder.  Leona pouted.  “Not what I meant.”

“But you need it, so...”

Leona sighed, and as Gary slid the bag off her shoulder, her right arm reappeared.  Trying to bring her left arm back failed.  She gave him a saucy wink.  “I only need the one.  And I want the other as a reminder of what I want to be.”

“Which is?”

“A sex object.  Your sex object.”

Gary grinned.  “Cool.”  He left her to her business, taking the bag with him.

When Leona emerged, it was to find Gary and Cindy sitting side by side on the bed, Cindy’s tail draping along the floor.  “What?”

“We need to talk.”

Leona sighed.  “I know, I’ve taken it too far.  I still have to go to work, right?”

“Actually...”

Leona brightened immediately.  “What?  What do I have to do?”

“Let Cindy move in to the pool house.”

“Uh, Gary?  We don’t have a pool house.”

“Remember when we bought the house?  The permits for one are already in place.  Cindy has the money to have it built.”

Leona stared at Cindy.  “Really?”

“Yeah.  I’ve been in that basement apartment so long, and made so much money because of the low rent, that I’ve got lots set aside.  Enough to do that and modify my van, too.”

“Modify your van?”

Cindy waggled her tail.  “Can’t manage the gas and brakes with this.  I picked my mechanic because he does drive-by-wire systems and wheelchair lifts for disabled people.”

“You’ve been planning this for a while,” Gary said, impressed.

“All my life.”

“So I can go back to being a headless toy?” asked Leona, bouncing with her excietement.

“We need to rescue my van, first.  And... you have to share.”

“Share?”  Leona looked back and forth between Cindy and Gary.  “You two?”

“That too.  But... well, I want to try it, too,” admitted Cindy.

Leona scooped up the bag and approached Cindy.  “You won’t regret it.”

Cindy squeaked and leaned back so the bag missed her head.  “Now?”

“Now!”

Cindy bit her lip, then nodded.  “Do it.”

Before Gary knew it, there was a headless, armless mermaid in his bed.  And not much later, the headless torso of his wife.  He stared down at the two of them, already wriggling up against each other, and smiled.  “We’re going to need a bigger bed.”
