Moontouched 23

Gwen grinned impishly.  “Rachel’s right there in front of you.”

Ronnie looked around for his girlfriend, but nobody in the room looked remotely like her.  “Did you change her into...”  Then he realized where Gwen had been staring all the while, and looked down at the double-handful of breasts riding prominently on his chest.  “My breasts?”

Gwen’s grin grew ever larger.  “Well, technically, they’re her breasts.”

“You turned Rachel into... just her boobs.  Then put them on me?” asked Ronnie, amazed.  “Wicked.”  He poked at his new assets experimentally.  “Can she feel this?”

“Yes I can,” came a soft voice from somewhere inside Ronnie’s right breast.

Ronnie’s eyes widened.  “I have talking boobs?”

“You’re welcome,” said Gwen.

Ronnie and his breasts had a quiet conversation while Gwen turned to Rowan.  “See?  He’s perfectly happy with it.  No need to worry.”

Rowan sighed melodramatically.  “I suppose.  At least this way she can tell us if she minds staying that way.”

“She doesn’t,” said Ronnie, getting both their attention.  “But there is one thing...  I took the next week off work so that if I got turned into something fun, it’d be OK.  Rachel didn’t.”

Rowan glared at Gwen as if to say both “See?” and “Fix this.”

Gwen’s grin didn’t falter and she waved a hand dismissively at Ronnie.  “No problem.”

Ronnie sighed softly as he felt his body start to change.  “Aww, I was looking forward to wearing her as my boobs.”

Gwen giggled, and waited for the changes to finish.

Ronnie looked even more puzzled than before, and it was an even cuter look given that he now had Rachel’s face.  As well as the rest of her body.  “But I’m still... oh!  I sound just like Rachel.”  He spun to look in the mirror.  “I look just like Rachel...  How does this...”  He paused a moment, listening to his breasts, then laughed.  “Are you sure you’re OK with me pretending to be you for a week?  I’ll try not to screw it up too badly.”

Ronnie gave Gwen a hug.  “Oh, this is going to be too much fun.  I get to find out what all Rachel’s friends think of me!”

“What about the dancing?” came a soft voice from Ronnie’s breast.  “Can we still do that?”

Gwen looked over at Rowan, and relayed the question.

“Sure.  The more the merrier.  Though she’s a bit small up top for a full Moon night, don’t you think?  Not so big as before, though.”

“Can I go back to this size before I go home, though?” asked Ronnie.  “I need to fit into her clothes next week, after all.”

Gwen nodded, and started the change.  “Of course.  Have fun!”

As Ronnie dashed to a mirror to watch her chest expand, Gwen shook her head.  “I have to admit I kind of see Donna’s point.”

“Which was?” asked Rowan.

“Just making boobs bigger gets boring.  I want to do something more interesting.  Got any fun requests?  We need a distraction.  Anything to not think about what just happened.”

“Is that really the right idea?” asked Rowan, seriously.  “You should talk about it.”

“We will,” Gwen said through gritted teeth.  “But it’s pretty raw right now.”

Zoey approached Gwen, and hugged her.  “They need to know, Gwen,” she murmured softly.  “About the ones who didn’t make it.”

Gwen’s facade crumbled, and she slumped into the hug with Zoey.  “You do it.”

“I don’t know all of what happened,” started Zoey, still holding Gwen.  “I just heard it.  Liana was grabbed by some guy...”

“Doctor Brown,” interrupted Gwen, face still muffled against Zoey’s shoulder.

“Right,” sighed Zoey.  “When he took us to the lair under the old hospice, Wendy was there.  I didn’t really hear what happened, but...”

“Jenna said that Wendy was dead,” said Gwen, flatly.  “Probably the same way Doctor Brown and Jenna died, consumed by the... entity.  The crystal.”

“Wait,” said Rowan.  “The crystal that Donna healed?  That’s what did all this?”

“Yes,” said Gwen, softly.  “And worse.”

“Worse?  How can it possibly get...”

“It wanted Donna, for her power.  That’s why it was taking dancers.  Liana told it that I was the only one that knew how to contact her.  So they grabbed me.”

“But that was three days ago,” protested Rowan.

Gwen started to cry, so Zoey picked up the tale again.  “I heard a lot of what happened, and Liana tried to protest, but...”  Zoey closed her eyes. “I’m glad I couldn’t see.  But it sounded like it hurt.  A lot.”

“It did,” whispered Gwen.  “But I knew our only hope was holding out until the full Moon.” She went on to clinically catalogue the things that Doctor Brown had done to her.  Welts started appearing on her arms as she relived what had been done to her.  They deepened into goughes that grew into a network of cracks.

When Gwen’s right arm shattered and collapsed into shards of broken pottery, Rowan gasped.  “Gwen, stop that!”

“It hurts...” moaned Gwen as her other arm shattered.  The cracks were still spreading.

Rowan’s hand darted to the star-shaped gem at Gwen’s brow. “Donna!  You have to do something, she’s coming apart!”

The crystal flared, then became a soft moonlight glow that encompassed Gwen’s body.  Zoey pulled back as Gwen’s body started to glow.  The broken parts swirled into the brightening light, then it started to fade.  As the light faded, so did Gwen’s body, all but her head.  A moment later, Donna’s ghostly form stood there, cradling Gwen’s head in her arms.

Gwen sighed happily.  “Thank you.  He never touched my face.”

Donna kissed her, sparking more lights.  After a little while she sat down and lowered Gwen’s head to set it in her lap.  “I am sorry, sweet one.  I put too much on you, forgetting what you’d already survived in my name.  No more.  I still need you to keep me safe at Moonset, but until then I shan’t ask more of you.”

“Thank you.  Can... can I ask something of you, though?”

“Anything.”

Gwen glanced over at where Ronnie was playing with his expanded boobs.  Donna followed her gaze, and grinned.  She scooped Gwen’s head up, and set it against her ghostly left breast.  Gwen sunk in there, smoothing and rounding until all that was left was her face.  Her skin-tone spread from there, transmuting Donna’s ghostly form into a fleshy one.  Donna wobbled slightly, then smiled.  “Oh, yes.  This is so much better.  I feel real again.”

“C’mon,” urged Gwen.  “Let’s forget all this and go dance.”

“But what happened next?” asked Rowan.

Donna sighed.  “That’s about when I showed up, after Gwen held out for three days.  I fought, the entity killed Jenna during the fight, we won.”

“What about Liana?” asked Zoey, worriedly.

“She was only... mostly dead.  She loved you enough to stay, and I... well, I don’t know what I did, but I think she’s part of you now.  Hopefully she’ll get better?”

Zoey brightened.  “So I’m not going crazy?  Liana’s actually in my head and talking to me?”

“She’s talking?  Oh, that’s good.  What’s she saying?”

“Mostly ‘What happened?’ and ‘Where am I?’  Liana, can you hear me?  You’re OK.  Well, sort of.  We’ve changed spots, you’re in me, now.”  Zoey hugged herself.  “She’s settling down.  I think we’ll be OK... but what happens in a week?”

“I... damn.  Wearing silver wouldn’t be good for her, or you.  She’d get stuck as just a voice in your head, at best.”

“I wish the Moon was out tonight,” said Liana.  “That would work, right?”

Donna nodded.  “If you were happy with that body, yes.  But... I can see you’re not, not really.”

Zoey shook her head at the same time as she scrubbed her hands vigorously up and down her arms.  “I know I said I wanted hands, but... arms.  Wrists.  I’m not good with them.  It’s like I’m itching to cut them again, and I’ve only had them for a little while.  A month... I don’t think I could do it.  Can you help?”

“Of course.”  Donna ran her hands over Zoey’s arms, sending power into them.  “There.  Now you won’t be able to cut them.  And even if you do, it won’t kill you.”

Zoey stared down at her arms.  “They feel so... heavy.  What’s happening to them?  They look exactly the same.”  She frowned.  “Except for the seam at the wrist.”  She picked at that, and peeled the skin off her left hand like a glove, exposing bright metal underneath.

“Your arms are cybernetic,” said Donna.  “You’ll have a hard time cutting titanium with a razor, and the exterior surface will let you go outside without problems.”

Zoey flexed her hand, staring at the interlocking metal parts sliding past each other.  “Oh... wow.  That’s...  Um, can I ask for one teensy addition?”

“I’m not going to give you projectile weapons in your palms, no.” said Donna, but with a grin.

Zoey chuckled ever so slightly.  “Hah.  No, can you make the arms detachable?”

Donna nodded.  “Easily.  You’ll still have control over them even when detached, to make it easier to put them back on.”

Zoey grinned and nodded.  “That’d be great.  Then I could take them off and still use the remote!”

Donna smiled, and soon Zoey was happily popping her arms off then back on again.  While she was doing so, Neysa came back in from dancing, grinning about how flexible her torso was.  Several of the others argued over whose turn it was to go next, and to settle it Rowan sent Tawny and Carmen out together.  The raptor-girl chased the doe-girl out of the room, and their shrieks and giggles could be heard even from the stage.

“I guess I need to figure out who’s most senior now,” mused Rowan.   She sighed morosely.  “I was really hoping Jenna would come back, she was good at managing all of you.  Gwen, do you think you can handle it?”

Gwen snorted, making Donna giggle.  “No.  I’m just hanging around for now.”  Several people groaned at the pun.  “Go with Neysa instead.”

Neysa agreed, and she and Rowan went off to plan.

Zoey was still playing with popping her shoulders off and on when a familiar voice called out, “Hey, why does she get to be a cyborg while I’m stuck as a human?”

Donna spun to face the newcomer, and grinned.  “Kate!  How’d you get here?”

Kate shrugged.  “I look human, so I drove Ray’s limo.  He still hasn’t decided if he wants you to change him back yet.”

A lithe blue-furred vixen danced into the room. “I have to dance at least once, first.”

Neysa looked up from her tete-a-tete with Rowan.  “Oy.  I can see where being flexible would be good.  Who’s the new girl?  Wait, Kate?  You’re here too?”

Kate grinned, and looked Neysa over.  “I like the long-body look on you.  Going to keep it?”

“Maybe.  It’s tempting.”

“So you’re running things?”  Kate laughed.  “Have fun.  Pat and Nissa are here, too.  So’s Isolde, but she’s a bit small to do any real dancing.”

An outrage squeak followed that last comment.  Isolde swooped into the room on her bat-wings, and landed in Kate’s hair.  “I can too dance you giant cow.”

“Where?  On one of the tables?”

Isolde hissed at her, then took a moment to consider.  “I could.  That’d be fun.  See you squares later!”  She took off, and flicked out through the door and into the main space of the Blue Vixen.

“Will she be OK?” asked Rowan.

“Her?”  Kate snorted.  “She’s not the one you have to worry about.”

“Except for her state of mind,” said Donna, worriedly.  “She thinks she’s supposed to be a succubus now, not a human.  I don’t know what to do about her, I’ve broken her.”

“Actually...” said the mouse-girl who’d quietly slipped into the room with the others, “we were talking about that on the ride here.  Getting to go out in the world beyond the estate is important to her.  Important enough that getting changed into a human was starting to sound good to her.”

“Really?”  Donna grinned.  “That’s about the best news I’ve had all night.  What about you?  Are you going to stay mousey?  Don’t you want to go out in the world?”

Pat shook her head.  “I want this to be the real me, so you can change me into something wild next month.”

“OK.”  Donna stared at Pat, and her eyes went very wide.  “I think...”

“I wish you could do that now, though,” mused Pat.

“Done,” said Donna, eyes even wider.  “Oh crap.  Uh, you really did want to be stuck as this, right?  Please say yes.”

“Um, yes.  What’s the matter?”

“I just changed your native form.  This is the real you now.  I could turn you into anything you like, even into your old human self, and in a week you’d be back to this, not human.”

Pat jumped up and down happily.  “Yes!  Wait, why are you saying that like it’s a bad thing?”

Donna looked around at the others staring at the conversation.  “Because it means I can do it to anyone.  It was bad enough when they had to use silver for months to get that effect.”

“Or use the Moon,” added Gwen from Donna’s breast.

“Or that.  But they have to be willing for that,” said Donna, interlacing her fingers and fidgeting with them nervously.  “This... doesn’t matter.  Wish for a new body to be permanent... and you’ve got it.  Even if you’re wishing for someone else’s body to be permanent.  Like a certain tattoo?”

“Oooh,” said Carmen, entering from the stage.  “Cool.  I wish Tawny was my tattoo again.”

“Hey!” protested Tawny.  But the way she was grinning made it clear that the objection wasn’t serious.  She snuggled up against Carmen as her body started to flatten out, posing herself across Carmen’s belly.  Before long, she was nothing but ink once more.

“So if I said ‘wish’, she’d be stuck like this?” asked Carmen softly.

Donna hung her head.  “Please don’t.”

“You’d be able to change her back, right?  Any time we asked?”

Donna shook her head.  “Only if I had the power.  If you changed your mind in a couple of weeks... nope.  On the plus side, if you didn’t wear silver it wouldn’t mess with her mind.”

“Do it.”

“Are you really sure?” whispered Donna.  She sensed the approval from the inked figure sprawled across Carmen’s body.

“I wish this was our permanent form,” declared Carmen.

Donna closed her eyes, then nodded.  “It’s done.  Even if I change her back, she’ll become your tattoo again in a week.”

“Sweet.”  Carmen traced a talon over the curves of Tawny’s shapely ink and shuddered.

“It’s not sweet!  It’s madness.  I thought it was OK to do crazy things with this, because nothing was ever really permanent.  But now...”  Donna stared around the room, judging the reactions.  “Don’t you all get it?  You could get stuck like that.”

“We could,” admitted Gwen.  “I could become your boob for a month.  It’s not the end of the world.  I’d even enjoy it.”

“Really?  Do the rest of you feel like that, too?”

Rowan nodded, followed by the others.  “We trust you.  You’ve always respected people’s wishes.”

“That’s the problem, isn’t it?  Wishes.  I’m tempted to just stuff myself in the genie bottle until this night is over.”

Rowan smiled.  “If you wish.”

“Augh!”

“Hey,” said Kate. “It’s almost midnight.  Time for Crazy Eights!”

Everyone looked eagerly to Donna, to see how she’d react.

“You know what?  Fine.  Crazy Eights for pinks.  Winner gets to change themselves and the loser, and both of the changes will be permanent.”

Everyone cheered, and Donna just shook her head.  “You’re all quite mad.  But thanks for the vote of confidence.”
