Moontouched 15

AUTHOR’S NOTE: I’m jumping back in time a bit here, doing a partial rewrite of Moontouched 14 before moving forward again.  I messed up with the timing of Mild Donna’s revert, and I wanted to touch on a few other things too.

Not much later, the wand that had been Donna’s mild half dimmed and stopped working.  The eclipse had started.  Gwen and Rowan worked to try to return some sense of normalcy to the club, but after the chaos caused by wild Donna it was a huge task.  There were dozens of requests piling up for fantasies, so many that the bartender got tired of explaining that none could be honored until 2am and just made up a sign to that effect.

Gwen sighed with relief when she noticed the changes starting.  Toys under the trees were waking up, starting to move about.  She crouched down to talk to them, and the stunned looks she got from the foot-tall ‘men’ made her realize she’d probably started a wave of giantess fantasy requests.  One of the nutcrackers approached her and asked to be picked up.  He asked ever so politely if he could stay as a toy until Christmas.  He spent so much time working, and so little with his son, the idea of being a play-toy for a few days moved him to tears.

Gwen promised that when the Moon returned, she would make sure his wish was honored.  She didn’t dare offer him silver, as she suspected he might stay a toy for a very long time if given that option.

What surprised her even more was that not all of the toy soldiers were male.  There were at least three soldiers that looked distinctly female under the tree.  Once they had changed back enough to talk, Gwen found out they had originally been waitresses.  One told her that they’d been warned to wear silver tonight, but forgotten.

Shortly before midnight, the changes speeded up.  Gwen looked up, and could feel that something had shifted.  The Moon was completely dark.  Better yet, the wand that she’d tucked in between her breasts was finally starting to shift and squirm.  A few minutes later, Donna stood before her once more, and Gwen gave her a crushing hug.

“I was so worried!” cried Gwen.  “You wouldn’t change back.”

“I...  I’d kind of forgotten how.  Or why.”

“Your wild side did a real number on you,” said Gwen with a sigh.

“It wasn’t just that, I...”  Donna sighed.  “Being a wand was kind of... fun.”

“Fun?  Fun?  You helped her transform all the dancers and half the clients into toys, and worse.”

“I know.  I couldn’t stop her.  But...”  A faint smile teased at Donna’s lips.  “That’s the part I liked.  Being used.  Using my power without guilt.”

“So if I asked you to change back into a wand...” mused Gwen.

Donna thought about that for a long moment.  “I think I’d like that.”

“I like this version of you better than the wild one.”

Donna sighed.  “I don’t.  I feel... incomplete.  Broken.  And more than a little lost.  Where is she, anyway?”

“Inside the genie bottle prop.”

“The one that’s lined in silver?  We have to let her out!”

“But...”

“You don’t know what it’s like in there,” Donna said, shivering.  “You get twisted up on yourself and your fears.”

Gwen winced.  “Oh.  If we don’t change her back while she’s weak, she’ll be a right terror when she gets out.”

Rowan wasn’t happy about the idea of releasing Wild Donna either, but Gwen pointed out what ‘Mild Donna’ just had, that releasing her into power would be worse.

When the bottle’s top came off, a horrible screaming emerged, and smoke poured out.  Before it could reform into a coherent form, it surged toward Donna and poured itself into her.  She staggered, and whimpered softly in the echoing silence that followed that scream.

“Donna?” ventured Gwen after a moment.  “Are you... are you OK?”

“Not really,” growled Donna.  “Part of me is really, really pissed.”  She glared daggers at Rowan, who held up the bottle defensively.

Gwen wrapped Donna in a tight hug.  “Shh, shh.   You had to be stopped.”

Donna sniffled into Gwen’s shoulder, and collapsed against the other woman.  “I know.  Part of me knows.  The other part is still raging.”

“Let me make it up to you,” said Gwen, and she kissed Donna full on the lips.

Donna moaned happily into the kiss, and let Gwen’s embrace comfort her.  Rowan coughed, then sighed and left them to themselves.

When Gwen’s kisses wandered down Donna’s neck, she squirmed happily.  But when they teased around her nipples, Donna tensed, then pulled back.  “No.  We can’t.”

Gwen pulled away from Donna, and looked her over.  “Welcome back, Duncan.  Are you... whole?”

Duncan drew a shuddering breath into her body.  “Not really.  But close enough to make do.”

“Let’s go see what the damage is, then.”

It was nearing midnight, and if anything the crowd looked even stranger than before.  Everyone who had been changed was about halfway back to normal.  Creepy Dave was a half-snake, half-man.  The men who’d become dancers and waitresses were looking decidedly androgynous.  The toys were between three and four feet tall, and still mostly toy-like but also able to move around under their own power.  Despite all this, or perhaps because of it, the atmosphere was decidedly festive.

As the clock struck twelve, the whole building shook, windows rattling from some distant explosion.  Sirens started to wail.

As one of the few staff members that wasn’t half-way transformed, Rowan went outside to see what was going on, but whatever had happened wasn’t within a few blocks.  The sirens stayed distant, but there were certainly a lot of them.  They checked the local news websites, but at this hour nobody was keeping an eye on things.

“Ah well,” Rowan said at last to the small cluster of dancers around her computer.  “We’ll figure it out in the morning.”

“I don’t like it,” fretted Gwen.  “The eclipse falling on the night of the winter solstice?  That can’t be a good omen.”

“Yeah,” agreed Jenna.  “I wish Isolde was here, she would know what kind of omen it was, she’s into that kind of stuff.”

Donna frowned.  “I haven’t seen her in a while.  Where is she, anyway?”

Jenna shrugged.  “You know how it goes.  Dancers come and go pretty regularly.  Either to other clubs, or they just get tired of the whole scene and call it quits.  Especially so if they find a day job.  And speaking of jobs, we need someone dancing out there.  I don’t think I’ve seen you up on stage yet...”

“Hey, it’s not my fault I got turned into wicked and boring twins.”

“No,” Jenna laughed. “But you still should go out and dance.  Stop fretting about this, there’s nothing we can do about it.”

“Not now, but at two when I get access to the Moon again...  I guess by then it’ll all be over anyway.”

So Donna danced, and of course Gwen tagged along.  It felt very odd to dance without the ability to fluidly change her body and Gwen’s in the process, and it took her most of the first song to let go of that and just let the music move her.

By the end of the second song she was feeling happy and loose, and gave Gwen a huge hug and kiss when they were done.  The audience cheered, and Gwen led her out among the crowd to mingle with them.

Donna was worried at first, worried that the people who’d been so recently changed would be upset with her.  But all she saw were smiling faces, one of which still had the remnants of snaky fangs.

“Hi Dave.  So... uh, how was being a snake?”  Donna tried not to sound too embarrassed, but mostly failed.

“It was great!  Stupid eclipse, if it wasn’t for that I could have stayed like that all night.”

Donna blinked, and took a moment to digest that.  “Really?  I thought you just liked seeing others turned into snakes.   You never asked...”

“I never knew.  I liked seeing snakes, and handling them, but the idea of actually letting you change me was...  I’m used to being what I am.  But this... this was eye-opening.  All sorts of new possibilities...  We’re going to have such fun together.”

“I...  Really?  You want me to keep doing fantasies after all this?”  Donna waved her arms at the floor full of people who were mostly but not entirely human.  The ones that had been toy soldiers still had a slightly wooden look, and while the paint was fading their cheeks still bore visible reddish patches.  They guy who had been a train still had wheels on his shoulders, though now at least they were small enough to be taken as epaulettes.

“Are you kidding?  This was amazing.  Ask around, do you see anyone that’s pissed off?”

Donna looked more closely at the crowd around her.  “Anyone?  Anyone at all who didn’t like being...”  At all the shaking heads she started to laugh.  “You folks are all crazy.”

“Crazy for transformations,” said Dave.  “Pretty much everybody here knows what the full moon means.  Pity about the eclipse, but the floor show was a blast.”

“So... if I was to wander out on the floor another night, and randomly change people... you’d all be OK with that?”

There was murmuring at that, and the mutter of general conversation.  One guy who still sported noticeable breasts spoke up, “I wouldn’t mind being a girl again, but...  I don’t think I’d want to be a toy.”  The red-cheeked guy beside him nodded.  “And I’d rather not be a girl, but being a toy...  It was fun, being so small, seeing boobs bigger than I was loom above me.  I’d do it again, given a chance.  As long as I got to move, anyway.  Is that possible?”

Donna nodded, slightly stunned.  “I... well, yes.  Plush toys work better for that.”

“Like a teddy bear?  That could be...”  His eyes showed his eagerness.  “Think you could arrange to send me home with a sexy girl that’d love a cute little teddy bear?”

“I...  Well, if you find the right girl yourself, I guess.”

“Oh sure, leave me the hard part.”  He grinned. “I’ll see what I can do.”

Donna dragged Gwen away from the crowd, but more murmuring and worse, entreaties to get ‘changed back’ followed her.  It wasn’t until she had made it into the green room that she could relax.

“Good grief,” exclaimed Donna.  “Did they all get changed into things they wanted?”

Nissa winked at her.  “Yup.  Even the spider.  Though I think I’d rather go with last month’s setup.  I like having tits, and I think I crossed the line between scary-beautiful and just plain scary.  Spinning webs was fun, though.  Could you do that again?”

Donna stared at her in amazement.  “Really?  What about your obsession with Marilyn?”

“Oooh!  That would be perfect.  Half Marilyn, half spider.”

Donna couldn’t do anything but laugh.  “Everyone here is mad.  Including me.  Fine.  When the Moon comes back, everyone gets their heart’s desire.  You guys, the crowd, anyone who asks.”

“My heart’s desire is to stage a production of The Nutcracker,” came a wistful voice from behind Donna.

Donna whirled around to stare at Rowan.  “Really?  Here?”

“We have the stage.  And there would be no few volunteers to become toy soldiers, and I’m someone could be persuaded to be the nutcracker himself.  The mice might be harder, but we have plenty of dancers for the rest.  The only thing we’re missing is a Christmas tree prop that can grow to enormous size.”

Donna thought for a moment.  “I think I can manage that.”

Rowan clapped her hands together.  “Excellent.  Let’s get started.”

The waitresses had returned close enough to normal to resume their duties, so Rowan called all the dancers into the green room to figure out who would take what role.  Once Erin made a playful show of being reluctant to release Sandy from being her corset, there were fourteen dancers available.  To help simplify the casting, Donna offered to produce transforming outfits.  She figured that if they were made from her hairs or the like, she would be able to quickly change them, even while the dancers were on stage.  This would allow everyone from the first act to become dancers in the second.

Nissa, Jenna, Beth, and Liana all were willing to become mouse-girls for the first act, and soft-spoken Silvie volunteered as well when nobody else came forward.  She figured that after being an eagle-girl, mouse-girl shouldn’t be too bad.  Donna reassured them that the changes would be mostly cosmetic - their ‘fur’ would be a costume, so just the tail, ears and muzzle would be real.  Slivie actually looked a bit disappointed at that.

The soldiers, to a woman, refused to be turned into men for the dance.  Rowan agreed, pointing out that this was a certain kind of establishment, and that dancing women were what the crowd wanted to see.

Donna chuckled at that.  “So you want busty soldiers and mice, mud-wrestling on stage and losing their tops?”

Rowan laughed out loud, and nodded.  “That would be... sacrilegious, and yet absolutely perfect.  Though perhaps without the mud, hm?”

The green room wasn’t really big enough for the entire group to practice choreography, so Rowan broke them up into three groups to rehearse, with the others taking up their usual dancing and circulating among the crowd in turn.

At two minutes after two in the morning, Leo called for quiet and the crowd settled down.  To the opening strains of a guitar version of the Nutcracker Suite, Donna pirouetted onto the stage, clad in green.  She carried a box-shaped toy fort with her, mindful of its precious cargo.  Liana, Wendy, Vanessa, Sandy and Erin were inside, reduced to eight inches tall and already costumed as toy soldiers.

Donna set the box down toward the back of the stage, roughly in the middle.  She spun in place, arms lifting up, spreading, changing.  The audience gasped as her dress flared out and grew into the branches of a tree.  The turning slowed, stopped, and where Donna had been a ten foot tall Christmas tree stood instead, glittering in the stage lights.

Rowan danced onto the stage next, clad in a simple white shift dress that floated around her thighs as she danced.  She was almost unrecognizable, as Donna had youthened her to look about eighteen years old.  Her dancing was not the sensual strut that Donna had used, but instead something far more classical, a pirouetting display of ballet skills that none there had known she’d possessed.  After she’d had a few moments in front of the tree, Jenna entered, dressed in an ornate winter coat trimmed in white fur.

Jenna advanced, offered Rowan an eighteen inch tall wooden nutcracker toy painted to look like a prince.  Rowan looked on it in youthful wonder, and hugged Jenna.  After a brief dance, the nutcracker was set before the tree, and a yawning Rowan sent off-stage.

The music shifted, the lights darkened, and Rowan returned to the stage and to her toy.  She curled up next to it as if to sleep, and the lights darkened further so that the glow coruscating around the Nutcracker could be seen.  Over the span of a dozen heartbeats it grew as tall as Rowan, perhaps taller, and shook her gently awake.

The lights rose to a stage transformed.  The tree had grown so large that only the trunk of the tree and its lowest branches were visible.  The rest disappeared into a stage ceiling that now looked like the night sky.  The toy fort had grown as well, looming beside the base of the tree.

The Nutcracker pointed offstage, and Rowan looked suitably alarmed as four mouse-girls followed by their mousy queen slunk sensually onto the stage.  They approached the two menacingly, claws at the ready.  But at a whistle from the Nutcracker, the toy box burst open to reveal its contents.  The five busty toy soldiers within had been growing to full size slowly, hidden within the box.  They marched out smartly to join the battle.

And what a battle it was!  Fur flew, costumes were torn, and soon the breasts of all the combatants save the queen and Rowan were exposed for all to see.   The Nutcracker too was immune, as he was still made of painted wood.  The crowd had been subdued up to this point, but now they broke out in raucous cheers.

The Nutcracker and the Mouse Queen dueled with candy-cane swords, until Rowan’s thrown slipper distracted the Queen and led to her hammily overacted demise.  The mice were routed, dragged off-stage by the soldiers, leaving the Nutcracker and Rowan alone on stage once more.

He bowed before her in thanks, and surrounded by sparkles of light transformed from a wooden doll into a living person, dressed in finery that matched his painted clothes.  He led Rowan off the stage, and the crowd applauded as the lights dimmed.

Moments later the lights rose again to a stage once more transformed.  The tree and box were nowhere to be seen, and instead the back of the stage was decorated in all kinds of Christmas goodies.  Marzipan, cookies, cakes and candy were liberally strewn all over the back wall.

Standing in the middle of the stage was Neysa, resplendent in a glittery pink fairy outfit with real wings that she fluttered as she danced.  Beside her was a transformed Jenna, standing proud in what looked like a cavalier’s suit of armor, but one that let him move and dance freely, and dance they did.

Soon, the Nutcracker Prince and Rowan entered, and were greeted warmly by the pair.  All four danced to seats at a newly sprouted row of throne-like chairs far right of the stage, set so that they were almost part of the audience.

The other dancers emerged then, in bright Spanish costumes, and began a whirling, energetic folk-dance.  Part way through their costumes shifted and changed, exposing peeks of breast here and there as they became gauzy Arabian outfits.  The music changed, as did the dance.  A minute later the music changed again, and the costumes shifted with it, becoming even more revealing.  Finally, the tops disappeared entirely, leaving only bright red satin leggings.  The dancers linked arms for a slightly disorganized version of a Russian dance that left them bouncing up and down energetically.  Their freed breasts bounced even more energetically, to great enthusiasm from the crowd.

The music slowed, the lights dimmed, and the dancers left the stage.  The decorations on the wall disappeared, and the tree reformed in the middle of the stage.  The Sugarplum Fairy and her Cavalier danced off the stage as the decor was shifting, then the Nutcracker Prince led Rowan back to the base of the tree, and shrunk back down to doll size.  Rowan yawned, stretched and looked about as if to wonder if it had all been a dream.

The lights dimmed then, and the audience cheered wildly.  All the dancers returned to stage to take a bow, with Jenna restored to normal already (though still wearing armor, re-fitted to her restored curves).  Gwen grew from a doll clutched in Rowan’s arms back to her normal self while the applause carried on.  Last of all, a half-tree, half-human Donna took a bow, to even greater cheers.  The others except Gwen left the stage, and Donna advanced to sit at its edge, still looking green, half-tree, and fey.  Gwen transformed beside her into a green-clad elf.

“It’s Christmas,” called Donna, “or nearly so.  Come, ask your heart’s desire.”
