Moontouched 12

Going to work on Monday morning was never Duncan’s favourite thing to do.  He was more of a night creature, even more so after a weekend like he’d just had.  The simple acts of getting up, showering, and shaving seemed so mundane.

As Duncan yawned his way through the morning commute he reflected on the bills that the day job paid.  The mortgage was the worst of it, but it was remarkable how many other expenses his young family incurred.  The nights at the Blue Vixen helped, and were paying better than ever, but he couldn’t rely on getting a gold coin as a tip on a regular basis.  So the job was still necessary.

Once Duncan got into the work, he also remembered that much of the time he enjoyed the mental challenges, as well.  Figuring out why an embedded system’s performance wasn’t as good as one hoped was the sort of puzzle that, truth be told, he loved to tear into.

On the way home, Duncan decided to swing by Arwen’s office, in the hopes that he could restore Joseph and Arwen.  Being stuck as a dildo looked like fun, but he expected that by now Arwen wanted to get back to her job, too.

The blonde at the desk at Arwen’s office looked up briefly as Duncan walked in, and mumbled something about postponing appointments until next week.  Then she did a double-take.  “Duncan?  Oh thank goodness.  Can you help us?”

Duncan stared at her blankly for a moment.  The girl was wearing a too-big sweatshirt that hid whatever curves she had, and her hair was a tangled mess.  Her makeup was little better.  But underneath it all, there was something familiar...  “Joseph?  What have you done to yourself?  You don’t look anything like Jo-Jo.”

Joseph’s laugh was a bitter bark of despair.  “The only clothes I have for her are... not appropriate to this setting.  The only makeup she knows how to do belongs elsewhere, too.  If I ever do this again, I’d rather be someone a bit more... well, normal.”

Duncan nodded.  “Yeah, what’s appropriate at the Blue Vixen doesn’t necessarily fly elsewhere.  So... I take it you’d like to go back to normal?”

“Can you?”  Hope lit Joseph’s eyes.  “I thought that if you didn’t change us back the night of the full Moon, we’d be stuck for a week.”

Duncan nodded.  “New technique.”  He sat down in a chair near the desk.  “But first, why did you take off from the hotel?  I went back to find you when the club closed, but you’d already left.”

Joseph ducked her head, letting the tangled mass of honey-blonde hair hide her blush.  “I was having too much fun.  Jo-Jo was in control, and she... I didn’t want to stop.  Sex in this body is fantastic.”

Duncan tilted his head and considered her with a slight grin.  “But?”

“But I have a job to do, responsibilities to my clients.  I can’t meet them like this, and Arwen certainly can’t.”  Joseph tugged a slim form out of her purse, and set it on the desk.  It wriggled around obscenely.  “The last few days have been incredible, but...  It’s time to change back.  Please?”

Duncan felt for the power that was binding Joseph to her form, and tugged.  “There.  Done.”

“But I’m still...”  Joseph frowned down at his hands, and touched them to his chest.  “It’s going very slowly.”

Duncan raised his eyebrows.  “Well spotted.  Changing back this way takes about an hour.”

“That’s better than the week it would have taken otherwise.”

“It also has another side effect... I get to re-use some of the power I changed you with.”  Duncan gestured at the dildo on the desk, and it started changing.  Soon a tiny, rubber version of Arwen stood up and stared at the two giants.

“Hey sweetie.  Looks like we get to change back early.”

Arwen looked down at her silicone body, then up at the still-female Joseph.  “Really?” squeaked her faint voice.  “It doesn’t look like it.”

“Joseph will be normal in an hour,” said Duncan.  “But changing him back has left me with the enough power to give you some options.  I could change you into anything else about your size, if you like.”

“I...”  Arwen looked over at Joseph, and then around at the office.  “What day is it, anyway?”

“Monday,” said Joseph.  “Not to worry, I’ve told your clients for today and tomorrow that you’re... indisposed.  Mine, too.”

“How’d they take it?”

“Not too badly.  Except for Roger, he was...”

“Shit.  He’s really fragile right now.  I should see him first thing tomorrow.”  She looked up at Duncan.  “Can I ask you a really big favour?”

Duncan shrugged.  “Ask away.”

“Roger believes that I can arrange for real transformations.  I have no idea how he got word of it, but he suspects, and he’s desperate for a change.  I’m worried about him, he’s far too eager... but I also worry he’ll do something dangerous if I don’t give him a reason to hope.”

“So you want me to change in front of him?  Will that really help?  I won’t be able to give him a full-body change until the next full Moon.”

“I... Ugh.  No, probably not.”  Arwen looked away, thinking.  “Would you be able to change him a little? Just to prove it’s possible?”

“One or two parts, sure, but only until about half past nine.  We’d have to meet here well before then.  I’ll try to husband the power I got from reverting Joseph until the morning.  If I fail, I’ve figured out how to store some power in things I’ve changed.”

“I’m a thing you’ve changed, right?  So... if you didn’t change me back until tomorrow morning, that would mean you could definitely change him?”  Arwen looked up at Duncan with hope and something more carnal on her tiny face.

“Yesss,” Duncan drew out the comment, then smirked at the look Arwen was giving him.  “What do you have in mind?”

Arwen gestured Duncan closer, then whispered into his ear.  He laughed, and nodded.  “Of course.  Joseph, you have a very kinky sweetie here.  Is it me, or is everyone except my wife crazy about what I can do to them?”

Joseph laughed, and her voice cracked a little as she did so.  She was visibly more masculine already.  “It’s not just you.  This was a lot of fun, though next time I’d like to be someone more normal.  Could you make me look like Arwen, instead of a big-boobed bimbo?”

Duncan picked up the silicone object on the table.  “Arwen as she is now, or Arwen as she usually is?”

Joseph stared at what Arwen had become.  “You changed her into another sex toy?”

Duncan grinned.  “Yeah.  She had so much fun she wanted to be something you could use once you changed back.  And she expects you to use her a lot, not just stick her in a drawer.”

Joseph just stared as Duncan put the cylindrical silicone object in his hands.  It was still warm.  Duncan chuckled, and headed out of the office.  As he looked back through the closing door he saw Joseph still staring at the fleshlight in his hands.

Duncan had a huge grin on his face for most of his drive home.

Once there, he was confronted by Sidney.  Courtney had had a bad day at preschool, due to insisting that she’d had real wings on the weekend.  None of the kids would believe her, and even the teacher had chided her for telling stories.  She’d had a huge meltdown over everyone saying she was lying when she knew she was telling the truth.  Even hours later, Courtney was still weepy over it, and nothing Sidney had said to her had helped.

Duncan sought his daughter out in her bedroom.  She was in the middle of drawing something that looked quite a bit like the wings she’d had earlier.

“Hey sweetie.”

Courtney smiled and bounced up to give her Daddy a big hug.  “Daddy!  You’re home!”

“Yes I am.  I hear you had some trouble at preschool today.”

She nodded, tears welling in her eyes again.  “They said I was lying about my wings!  But they were real, I know they were!”

Duncan hugged her again, and shushed her softly until the sobbing died down again.  “I believe you.  Mommy believes you.  Most other people you meet have never seen real magic.  And until you’ve seen it, it’s really hard to believe in.”

“Why?” asked Courtney.

“It’s sort of the way magic works.  There are things you can do, and other things you can’t do.  Talking about it to people who haven’t seen it is one of those things.”

“Why?”

“I... hm.  It seems awfully specific at times.  It’s almost as if the prohibitions were... designed.”

“Why?”

“I guess it would be to keep magic from becoming too well known.”

“Why?”

“People get scared by what they don’t understand.”

“Why?”

Duncan fixed an amused glare on Courtney.  “Are you just asking to see when I run out of answers?”

Courtney giggled.  “Maybe.”

Duncan smiled at her laugh.  “Ah, good.  So you’re feeling better?”

Courtney looked down at her feet.  “A little.  I miss my wings.”

Duncan got such a glare from Sidney when Courtney went running through the house, wings flapping behind her.

“What?  She’s happy now.”

“And what about Wednesday when she’s in preschool again?”

“I’ll change them back before then.  Though it would be funny to send her off with them, and see the reactions.”

“No!  Just... no.  I can’t even imagine the fuss.”

Duncan laughed.  “Yeah.  All the kids would be wanting wings.  Or kitten ears, or paws, or tails.  It would make for a fun birthday party...”

Sidney rubbed her forehead.  “You can’t possibly be serious.”

“Ask Courtney.  I bet she’d love it.  The Moon is full on the Friday night, almost a week after her actual birthday... but nobody would bat an eye at a party then, would they?”

“How late does the Moon rise?”

Duncan went to his computer to look that part up.  “Ugh.  Eight pm.  I don’t think a party for five year olds can go that late.”

“What a shame,” said Sidney, sarcastically.

“What’s a shame?” asked Courtney, brightly.

Duncan just laughed as Sidney tried to come up with an explanation.  Then he added, “You know, if I could figure out how to bank enough power, we could do it the day of her birthday.  The moon rises at noon, then.”

“Duncan!”

“Oh come on, it would be fun for the kids.  Courtney would love a birthday party where everyone gets to have wings.  Or tails.  Wouldn’t you, sweetie?”

“Yes yes yes!”  Courtney danced around the room, then noticed the look on her mother’s face.  “Please Mummy?”

Sidney stared daggers at Duncan, then turned to her daughter.  “We’ll see.”

“Yay!”

“That wasn’t a yes,” Sidney said, but it was too late.  Courtney was already bouncing around the room singing, “Wing party, wing party!  I’m gonna have a wing party!”

“Look what you’ve done!” Sidney accused her husband.

Duncan shrugged and smiled, watching Courtney’s antics.  “She’s happy.  And maybe she’ll forget.”

“That one?  Forget something like that?  Oh, no.  You’re stuck with this now.  I have no clue how we’re going to explain it.”

“Call it a fairy costume party.  Don’t tell the parents the costumes are going to be... enhanced.”

“I think they’re going to notice.  What will they say when they see their kids sprout wings?”

“They’ll ask, ‘Can we have wings too?’” replied Duncan with a smirk.

Sidney just sighed long-sufferingly, and let it drop.

Courtney was wiggly and excited all through dinner, and was very disappointed when her wings melted away at bedtime.  Duncan promised that she’d have more chances to have wings or ‘other things’ later, next month, a bit before Christmas.  Courtney asked sleepily if she could be an angel for Christmas.

“You already are our little angel.  Sweet dreams.”

Once the kids were abed the discussion with Sidney sparked up again.  She was dead set against the wing party idea, calling it crazy.  Duncan shrugged, and agreed that it was odd, but he was also convinced that the kids would have a great time, and a memorable one.

“That’s the problem.  Courtney could tell her class about her wings.  So whatever keeps us from talking about magic... it doesn’t work on little kids.  What are people going to say when a whole bunch of little girls talk about having wings at their party?”

“That the girls have lovely imaginations, and isn’t that special.  They won’t be believed,” claimed Duncan.  After a pause, he added, “That’s probably why they can talk about it in the first place.”

“Huh.  I guess.”

“So you’ll consider the party?”

“I...”

“Come on, it’s fun to have wings, or be changed in other ways.  As long as everyone’s back to normal at the end.”

Sidney grumbled, “I think we left normal behind a looong time ago.”

“Bah.  Who wants to be normal anyway?  Normal is boring.”

Sidney was forced to agree.

Duncan was careful not to waste the rest of his Moon-powers that night.  He was pleasantly surprised to wake up and  find that he’d not changed anything in the middle of the night.  Of course, just the thought of what he might have done set off a few minor changes, but he hid the breasts before Sidney could see them, and was back to normal soon enough.

He left much earlier than usual, still yawning as he drove to Arwen’s office.  Joseph was already there, pacing by the door.  He was his normal self once again, and clutched a familiar silicone object in his hands.  He opened the door for Duncan, then hurried him through reception and into Arwen’s office.

“Time to change her back,” Joseph said once they were away from public eyes.

“Already started,” said Duncan.  “It’ll take the same hour you did, though.  When will her client arrive?”

“A little after nine.  So she’ll be, what... halfway back to normal by then?  What’s he going to think?”

“It’ll help sell the reality of magic.  She should be able to talk by then.”

“Is there any way you could speed that up?” fretted Joseph.  “He’ll want to see Arwen.”

Duncan hemmed and hawed, and admitted that he wasn’t entirely sure.  If he pushed too hard, he’d use up the power that was needed to change Roger.  Still, he had a pretty full tank, so...  Delicately, carefully, he visualized Arwen growing up faster, and nudged some power her way.  Over the next few minutes she shot up from a foot tall to nearly full height.  The problem was, she was still quite rubbery.

“Did you mean to leave her looking like a sex toy?” asked Joseph.

Duncan sighed, and shook his head.  “Not as such, no.  If I do much more, I’ll have too little for Roger.”

Joseph shook his head, staring at the pillar of silicone.  “She’s a five foot tall sex toy.”  He touched her side, then slowly ran a hand down it, drawing a faint squeaking from the material.  “Well, it’s certainly different.”

Duncan smirked.  “Shall I leave you two alone?”  When Joseph mutely nodded, Duncan laughed and went out to the reception area to wait.  He tried to ignore the noises, but it made it hard to read the old Reader’s Digest he’d found.  When he heard Arwen’s voice join the noise, he smiled.

A little later, a young man tapped nervously on the door, and Duncan moved to let him in.

“You must be Roger.”

The heavyset twentysomething guy nodded nervously.  “Is Doctor Sakurai here?”

“More or less.”  Duncan went to the door and tapped twice.  “Your client is here,” he called out loudly.  There was some crashing and shuffling from inside the office, then Joseph opened the door.

Roger looked at the two men suspiciously, then headed into the office.  “Doctor Sakurai?”

Arwen waved from behind her desk.  Above the waist she was mostly human, though she still had a rubbery sheen.  Duncan could feel that she was more toy than human below that point, without even looking.  He concealed a grin, and followed Roger into the office.

“Hello Roger,” said Arwen in a squeaky voice. “My apologies for my appearance.”

“What... what happened to you?”

Arwen giggled, and gestured to Duncan.  “He did.  I’m sorry I missed your appointment yesterday, but I wasn’t human at the time.”

Roger sat down heavily.  “Not human?  I don’t understand...”

“You’ve found what you were looking for,” commented Duncan dryly.  “Just a bit late for the full effect.”

“What?”

“I’ll let Arwen explain the details to you, but for now I can offer a simple proof that I can do what you’re looking for.  Pick a body part that you most want to change.”

“What?”

Duncan sighed.  “Not this again.  Arwen, can you get an answer out of him?”

“Roger, we’ve talked about this.  What part of your body feels most wrong to you?” asked Arwen.

Roger set his hands on the desk.  “These.  They’re big and ugly and everything else I can hide under clothes, but I have to look at these all day.”

“Your hands?  As you wish...”

Roger stared in wonder as his thick masculine hands thinned down, becoming slim and delicate.  As a finishing touch, his nails acquired a perfect manicure, and a layer of soft pink polish.

“Oh.  Wow.  This is... real?”

Duncan nodded.  “Unfortunately, until the next full Moon, it’s all I can give you.  Arwen, can you fill him in on the rest?  I should get going.”

“I don’t think he’s going to be hearing much,” commented Arwen dryly.  “But I’ll do what I can.  Thanks!”

Roger looked up from his hands briefly to smile his gratitude at Duncan, then he started wiggling his newly-feminine fingers again and got lost in fascination once more.

Duncan shook his head, and turned for the door.  He waved casually as he left.  “Good luck.”

Work was something of an anticlimax after that.
