Button 12 - Confusion and Consternation

Yana stared at Heather for a long time.  The bigger woman was still on her knees, hands up in a supplicating posture.  Yana spared a moment to be surprised that Heather’s outburst about magic hadn’t drawn more attention, then she noticed another person in similar barbarian furs being tugged around on a leash.  It seemed that all kinds of weird things happened at science fiction conventions.

“Fine,” hissed Yana.  “But not here.  Follow me to my room.”

As if she was an oversized puppy, Heather did just that.  When the door closed behind them, she dropped the act but not the puppy-dog eyes.  “Please?  Magic that can create such fantastic costumes, I have to see it.”

Yana shook her head in wry amusement.  “You’re going to be even worse than Darryl, I can tell.”  She put her hand to her shoulder, and tugged free the blue flower that was perching there.  Before Heather’s wondering eyes, it shriveled and reduced to a simple blue button.  At the same time, Yana’s leafy costume reverted into a plain green dress.

“Wow,” breathed Heather.  “I didn’t really believe...  That was really magic?  How does it work?”

“Yep,” chuckled Yana.  “Just like him.  The button does it.  Touch it to anything, imagine what you want it to turn into, and it changes.  It’s best at dresses and things like that.”

Heather frowned in puzzlement.  “But how’d you get the tree-like skin effect?”

“The advanced version, I’ve become really good with it.  I changed part of myself, too,” said Yana, proudly.

“Whoa, it can change people, too?”

Yana nodded.  “Who do you think was the dress, both times it got torn...”

Heather’s jaw worked, but nothing came out.

“Oh crap, I shouldn’t have... Heather?”

“Who was it?” Heather squeaked.

“Darryl,” said Yana with a shrug.

“You... you were wearing Darryl?  As that sexy dress?  Why?”

“Um... long story short, it’s because the button needs to change people to recharge, every third time.”

Heather shook her head in disbelief.  “Sorry, I don’t buy it.  Turning one dress into another, sure... but a person into a dress?  That’s... impossible.”

Yana laughed, and reached out with the button.  “Only one way to show you, I guess.”

Heather stared down at the button as it approached.  “Are you...”  She took a step back.

“If it doesn’t work, no harm done.  If it does... you’ll have to believe me.  Right?”

Heather took a deep breath and squared her shoulders.  “Right,” she said.  “Hit me.”  A moment later she crumpled to the floor as a pool of shimmering golden fabric.

Yana clapped her hands with glee, Heather’s shimmery new form was so beautiful!  She just had to try her on.  The golden bodysuit was just so slinky and stretchy she couldn’t help herself.

Dressed in nothing but Heather, Yana admired herself in the mirror.  From neck to wrists to ankles she was coated in shimmering gold, reminding her of the cyborg she’d so admired in the art show.  “Damn,” she whispered to herself.  “I’m hot.”

The door opened, revealing Darryl lugging a bag full of books.  He looked startled to see Yana.  “Oh, I was just here to drop...”  As he turned to look at her properly the bag fell from his hand.  Unheeded, the door fell closed behind him.

Darryl paced toward his fiancée, eyes glowing with lust.  Yana saw this, licked her lips, and grinned.  They didn’t make it to the bedroom.

Yana had the presence of mind to modify her outfit before it got torn, then got caught up in Darryl’s lust.

Much later as they were lying on the couch, spent and exhausted, Darryl asked, “How did you charge the outfit with lust?”

Yana’s eyes flew open.  “Heather!  Oh no...”

Darryl frowned.  “Oh, Yana, you didn’t...  Wait, who’s Heather?”

Yana rolled off the couch, careful to avoid Darryl’s line of sight just in case she started the cycle again.  She pulled the button free, and the dress tumbled away from her as it reformed into a person.  A very large, very naked woman.

“Darryl, meet Heather.  She’s the one you got mooshed into when you were a necklace.  Heather, meet my fiancé, Darryl.”

Heather recovered remarkably quickly.  She stuck out her hand.  “Pleased to meet you at last.”

Darryl stood up, then latched on to her hand as a safe place to keep his gaze.  “Likewise.  Now can we please all get dressed?”

Yana and Heather laughed.  “I think we’ve embarrassed him,” Heather quipped.

Darryl just sighed and retreated to the bedroom.  When he emerged in fresh clothes, the two women were still chatting, and still naked.  “Seriously?  Fine, whatever.”  He sat on the couch beside his sweetie.  “So what’s the plan?”

“I want to be a cat-taur,” Yana said.

“A what now?” asked Darryl, confused.

“Bottom half is a big cat, like a cougar, top half is a human,” Heather explained.

“I know what it is,” said Darryl.  “I’m just not sure why or... right, of course.  You want something like the mermaid tail as a costume?”

Yana nodded.  “You can be my hindquarters.  Strip.”

“But I just...”  Darryl shrugged, and stood up to undress again.  “Fine.   You’ve both seen it all, anyway.  Sorry about what I did while Yana was wearing you, Heather.  I didn’t know you were there.”

Heather waved it off, watching Darryl with an appraising grin on her face.  “I understand you’ve had worse done to you.  Truth be told, it felt really good.  I’d do that again in a heartbeat.”

Darryl chuckled softly.  “I know.  Same here.”  He dropped his pants on the floor, and stood by Yana.  “How do you want to do this?”

Heather purred, “I can see why you keep him, girlie.”

Darryl looked over at her with a raised eyebrow, and saw where she was looking.  “What do you think’s going to happen with me standing around two beautiful naked women?”

Yana chuckled softly.  “I suppose.  I’d have thought you’d have seen better at work.”

Heather licked her lips.  “One or two.  But only one or two.  Ever consider a three-way?”

“Heather!” said Yana.  “Thats...”

Heather looked back at Darryl, who was turning red.  “Hm.  Your sweetie likes the idea.”

“But... I...” protested Darryl weakly.  At Yana’s look, he shrugged.  “What guy hasn’t fantasized?”

“C’mon,” wheedled Heather.  “It’s a convention.  Anything can happen here.”  She leaned over to whisper something in Yana’s ear, and abruptly the two of them merged.

Darryl chuckled as he looked at the life-sized cat-taur plush.  “I think you got Yana all distracted.”  It took him only a moment to find the button and pull it free.

When Yana and Heather separated, Yana got up and approached Darryl.  “Give me the button.”

“Yeah, that wasn’t quite what I meant.  You two should...”  Heather chuckled.  “Still not quite right.”  She inspected the new cat-taur plush, and grinned at what she saw between its hind legs.  “You got that part right...  Um...  Now what do I do?”

Heather looked for the button, but all she could find was a blue name-tag on the back of the plush.  Shrugging, she gave it a tug and was squeaked softly in surprise when Yana and Darryl reappeared in front of her.

“What’s wrong?” Heather asked them, though her attention was on the simple blue button in her hand.  “Every time you try you turn into a...”  Her question was cut off by her own transformation into a plush cat.

Darryl shook his head, and scooped up the three foot long plush cat.  “We’re getting nowhere like this.  The problem is, the button likes making inanimate things.  Yana can persuade it otherwise, but...  I think she’s a little distracted.  Maybe we should keep you like this for a bit until she calms down.”  Darryl held Heather out to Yana.

Yana plucked the button free, ending up in a hug with Heather.  She blushed at the embrace, and even more so when Heather gave her a peck on the cheek.  “Thanks for saving me.  Again.”  She stepped back, away from Yana.  “Now get with your sweetie so we can have some real fun.”

As Yana and Darryl got into position, Heather added, “But if you end up a cat-taur sex doll like last time... I *am* going to use you like that.”

Heather laughed at the result.  “Oooh, you do look cuddly.  I hope you two will enjoy this as much as I’m going to.”

She carried the giant plush into the bedroom, and only yelped once when it returned her embrace.  “Oooh, kitty.”

* * *

“Mmm, you’re just so snuggly.  I wish I could keep you like this for longer,” murmured Heather tiredly.

The plush cat-taur licked her cheek with its fabric tongue in reply.  Yana had figured out how to move her body, but speech was beyond it.  When Heather turned to look at Yana, she nodded twice.

“Really?  I’d love to take you out on the ‘con floor.  Could you... I don’t know, maybe get a little smaller, and add wheels to your feet?”

Yana and Darryl’s body contracted and reshaped, becoming a realistic looking cougar plush.

“Aww, you got rid of the good bits.  Ah well, that’s probably for the best.”

Heather got dressed in her barbarian furs.  She ‘just happened’ to have a leash and collar as part of the outfit, and fastened that to the cougar.  A gentle tug, and Yana and Darryl followed her smoothly.  Heather grinned.  “Oh, this is going to be fun.”

In the main halls of the convention center, the cougar was a hit.  Especially with the little ones.  Yana and Darryl gave more rides than either of them could count.  Heather loved the attention, too, and didn’t return to the suite until every single child that wanted a ride had had their turn.

Yana was grinning as she changed back.  “That was great.  The kids had so much fun...”  She turned a needy look on Darryl.  “I want to have kids.”

Darryl blinked, then grinned.  “OK.  But shouldn’t we get married first?”

“Yes.  How soon can we?”

“Uh...  I’ll call my Mom when we get home.  As soon as she can get out here?”

Yana prowled against Darryl.  “I’m going to hold you to that.”

Heather chuckled.  “Should I leave you two alone for a time?”

“Time... what time is it, anyway?”  Darryl looked around the room to find a clock.  “Oh, crud.  I missed my panels!”

“Aww, who cares about panels,” said Heather.  “The room parties and the masquerade are where it’s at.”

“Yeah, except that I’m signed up to be on a few panels.”  He sighed.  “I doubt anyone missed my insight on what it’s like to read slush piles, though.  I did want to attend the panel on ‘How to Make Magic Seem Real’.”

Yana snickered.  “Maybe not the best choice.  We really shouldn’t let others know...”  Darryl and Yana both looked at Heather.

“Um...”  Heather took a step back as Yana brandished the button.  “You wouldn’t... wait, if you change me you can’t use the button any more.”

Yana sighed, and nodded.  “Darryl figured the same thing out when I was mad at him and turned him into a dildo for a week.”

Heather smiled.  “I don’t know whether I should be relieved... or aroused.  What’s it like?”

Darryl got a dreamy look on his face. “Let’s just say it wasn’t much of a punishment.”

“Wanna try again?  You could be the toy in the middle of a girl sandwich...”

Darryl’s face went beet red, and both Yana and Heather giggled.  Darryl scooped up his clothes.  “I should get going.  Heather’s right about the room parties, I should get out and mingle.  Good for business.”  He dressed hurriedly and dashed out of the room, chased by laughter.

Yana looked over at Heather once her sweetie was gone.  “Still... I’d really rather you didn’t blab about magic being real, and all.”

Heather sighed.  “Really?  It’s not like witch hunts are in, any more.  What’s the harm?”

“Can you imagine the kind of attention real magic would get?” Yana fretted.  “The people who would want to investigate, or just take it for themselves?  I want to avoid all that.”

“Fine.  I still want some of those dresses at work.”

Yana sighed, and explained what she and Darryl had tried.  She didn’t want to leave the button in KK’s hands, and without the button the longest they could get a dress to stay changed was about ten minutes.

“Well, fooey.  I’d volunteer to be a dress for a day... why are you looking at me like that?”

“Well... it *does* last longer if we change a person.  On Darryl it’ll last all day.  On me it will last a few hours.  I’m curious how long you’ll stay changed.”

“So you want me to be a guinea pig?”  Heather asked with an arched eyebrow.

“It’ll help us learn how to make dresses last longer...” wheedled Yana.

Heather laughed.  “I accept... just not right now.  Let’s go hit those room parties first.”

Yana nodded.  “OK.  I’ve never been to one... what should I wear?”

“It’s not that kind of party...  But you could be a cougar-pelt for me to throw over my shoulders...”

"I don't know," fretted Yana.  "That seems awfully close to clothing."

"So?"

Yana wrapped her arms around herself.  "I have... issues about that."

"What if you thought of it as being the same cat-plush as before, just... flatter?" suggested Heather.

Yana took a moment to consider that, then grinned.  "I guess it is only fair, considering what I did to you earlier."  Her skin prickled out into golden fur, and her grin became that of a plush cat once more.  Then a moment later it was as if all the stuffing had been taken out of her, and she deflated into Heather's arms.

Heather grinned, and swung her new conquest over her fur-clad shoulders like a cape.  She adjusted it so Yana’s furry head peeked over her shoulder.  "I'll make sure you get to have fun tonight, too.  Time to dance!"

Heather stumbled into the suite in the wee hours of the morning, arm in arm with Darryl.  Both were a little tipsy, and Darryl’s reactions were a bit too slow to dodge Heather’s kiss.

“Hey,” he said as he pushed back at her.  “Yana’s right there.”

Heather swept the golden cougar-fur off her shoulders, and laid it in the middle of the room.  She laid down on top of it, and crooked a finger at Darryl.  “C’mere.  You know Yana would get a kick out of this.”

“I don’t think...”  Darryl’s look was anything but reluctant as Heather flung her top aside.

Heather yelped as the cougar-skin rug she was lying on suddenly started to move, and then sat up as a golden-furred woman.  “How?”

“No teasing Darryl,” purred Yana.  “That’s my job.  C’mere.”

Darryl took a step closer, and watched in surprise as Yana pulled Heather’s hands onto her chest.  His eyes widened even further as Heather started to sink into Yana with a squeak of alarm that soon turned into a happy purr.  Heather was silenced a moment later as her head and shoulders vanished into Yana, and before Darryl could take another step, she was gone.

Yana’s breasts had tripled in size, and Darryl stared at them in wonder.  “You just...”

Yana grinned ferally.  “She’s my boobs.  Like it?”

“I love it...”  He kneeled in front of her and placed his hands on her breasts, giving them a squeeze.  “Mmm, they feel nice.”

“Not afraid I’m going to suck you in, too?”

Darryl just grinned.  “Kind of the opposite.”

Yana laughed.  “Maybe later.  One person in there is enough, for now.”  She pulled Darryl down on top of her on the carpet.  Her body was plush and cozy, made for lovemaking on any surface.  They made extensive use of that.

The light of morning found them tangled in a pile on the couch.  Yana was still a cougar-woman, and her fur was looking much the worse for wear.  She smacked her lips, and found that her mouth felt like it was full of fluff, so she went off to shower.  Darryl trailed behind her, a half-grin on his face.  Yana wasn’t good with mornings, and he wondered how long it would be before she figured out.

She made it part-way through her shower before the weight of the water soaking into her plush body pulled her over.  She stared at herself in confusion.  “What the hell happened last night?”

Darryl joined her in the shower.  “Lots of fun stuff.  The best part was when you used Heather to grow your breasts this big.”  He gave the spongy, sopping masses a squeeze, and water cascaded from them.

“Oh...  Mmm, I hope she’s... Oooh! having as much fun as I am.”  Yana pounced on Darryl, and it proved to be a good thing that hotel showers don’t run out of hot water.

Later, when the towels proved woefully ineffective at drying Yana’s thoroughly saturated form, she released the button.  Heather and about ten gallons of water emerged.  Darryl had had the foresight to step out of the shower while Yana was reaching for the button, so he was the only one left dry.

Darryl offered to go get more towels, but Yana pounced on him with the button before he could get far.  He made a lovely towel, huge and thick, and both of them teased the towel thoroughly as they dried their bodies, and especially their breasts.  They wrung him out as best they could, but Darryl was still damp when they were done.

“Now what?  Is it Heather’s turn to be a towel?”

Heather grinned.  “Works for me.  Turn me into rubber afterward, and just shake the water off...”

Yana brightened.  “That’s a great idea.”  But instead of turning to Heather, the button touched Darryl once more.  He shrunk away to a familiar silicone shape, glistening in Yana’s hands.

Heather licked her lips as she admired Yana’s handiwork.  “It would be a shame if he didn’t get to have some fun before changing back...  Think you could make him a little longer, and double-ended?”

Yana gaped at Heather for a few second before she realized what she was suggesting.  “You are insatiable.”

Heather sighed at the rejection in Yana’s tone.  “It’s just... this has been the most amazing day of my life.  Tonight we go back home, and life goes back to normal.  I don’t want to let go.”  She reached out, and touched the translucent pink dildo in Yana’s hands.

Yana grinned at her impishly.  “You won’t.”  A moment later, the dildo started getting larger as Heather had described.  Heather stared down at it in surprise, especially because her arm was disappearing into it.  Braked by Yana’s intent focus, Heather’s arm slowly slid further and further in, vanishing into the silicone.  When it was up to her shoulder, Yana asked.  “Shall I stop?”

Heather shook her head, eyes glittering.  A moment later her head was gone, and the rest of her body swiftly followed.  Yana giggled as Heather’s feet kicked futilely at the end before they too vanished into the elongated silicone toy.

“Mmmm,” Yana purred.  “I could keep you both like this.”

She did, and made good use of them until her hunger pangs finally overrode her kinks.

This time, when Yana pulled the button away, she put it away in its lucite box.  At Heather’s disappointed look she said, “If I don’t, we’ll never get to breakfast, or the rest of the convention.”

Darryl looked at the time, yelped, and was off like a shot.  “Panels!  Stuff to do!  See you two later!”

Yana just laughed.  “C’mon.  Let’s go get breakfast, then we can figure out what to do with the rest of the day.”

At breakfast, Heather asked Yana openly about the magic button.  Yana shushed her, but Heather gestured at the crowd around them. “Everyone here is talking about magic or science fiction as if it were real.  Nobody’s going to notice or care.”

Yana laughed, and conceded the point.  She told Heather all about their experiments with the button and how long various changes had lasted.  She promised that they’d figure something out so that Heather could have her dresses.

“Speaking of which...  Do you need a costume for today?  Can’t put a magic one in the masquerade, but I bet your sweetie would love it if you showed up in something amazing.”

Yana chuckled softly.  “He would, at that.  Wait, are you volunteering?”

Heather nodded eagerly.

Back at the suite, Heather held the button in her hand.  “So I just imagine what I’m going to turn into, and... touch?”

“Pretty much, yeah.  The more detail the better.”

Heather nodded then closed her eyes.  She was still so long Yana started to get antsy, bouncing from foot to foot.  Then her form crumpled, though not far.  The skirt of the deep purple dress was wide and ruffled, and had enough structure between crinoline and hoops to keep it upright.  The top was encrusted with enough crystals and gold thread that it only listed slightly with nobody inside.

Yana gasped happily as she admired Heather’s work.  “Oh... it’s perfect.”  It also took her half an hour to get into it.  She spent another hour on her hair and makeup, so that she truly looked like a princess when she emerged on the convention floor.

Yana was a little surprised to find that she attracted less attention in this costume than she had as a dryad.  She supposed that it was because she wasn’t showing as much flesh as most other females.  Yana debated altering Heather’s work, but when she paused in front of one of the hall’s huge mirrored walls to contemplate what she’d change, she fell in love with the dress all over again.  How could she change a masterpiece?

When she caught up with Darryl, he marveled at the dress, and escorted her around the convention playing the ‘visiting royalty’ thing to the hilt.  Yana had a lovely time.

In the art show, Yana pointed out the cat-taur that she’d tried to use as a model the night before, with such varied results.  Darryl sighed when he saw the price it had gone for.  Far out of his budget.  He noticed Yana’s caught breath at the android girl, and winced once again at the price.  But there was a tag noting that prints were available, and he managed to buy one while Yana was admiring some of the other art.

Once the convention was winding down, they returned to their suite and Darryl helped Yana out of the dress.  Moments later, Heather was standing in front of them once more.  She gave Yana a hug, then sighed.  “Ah, I’m going to miss all this.”

Yana smiled.  “Come over next weekend, and we’ll use you as a guinea pig.  We’ll figure out how to get you your dresses somehow.”

“Really?”  Heather’s face lit up with joy.  “Thank you!”  She hugged Yana once more, then hugged Darryl as well.  Under Yana’s watchful gaze she kept it somewhat chaste.

The drive home was quiet.  Darryl was too tired to both drive and talk, so he concentrated on the road.  Yana was busy with her own thoughts.

“I miss it already,” she said once they got home.  “The magic, the costumes...”

Darryl dug out the android-girl print, and handed it to Yana.  “A little gift to remember it by.”

Yana grinned, and hugged him tight.  Then she got out the button and did her best to turn herself into a clone of the robot girl in the picture.

They found that being all metal and angles was not the least bit fun when trying to make love.
