Moontouched 3

Donna stared at Arwen as she... he?  As he nodded.  “I thought you’d see through it.”  Even his voice sounded different than Donna remembered.

“But how?  I only changed a little bit, and left your face still the same.  Now you look like you’ve always been a man.”

Arwen laughed, and at least that sound was still the same.  “A big part of my work is teaching gender dysphorics how to pass as male or female.  Did you not think I could apply it to myself, or that I had never, before?  Your additions have just made it that much more convincing.”

Donna leaned against the wall to support herself, her perked tiger ears betraying her intense interest.  “I have to say, I’m very impressed.  You carry yourself just like a...”  She stared at the woman sitting beside Arwen, then started to grin.  “And you must be the other from the play-acting earlier.  I’m afraid I never caught your name.”

“She’s rumbled to us,” said the well-dressed blonde woman in a deeper voice than her look suggested.  “I’m Joseph.  Though I suppose for now it’s Josephine.”

“So if you’re not Arwen’s husband, who are you?”

Liana giggled slightly.  “I told you, earlier.  That marriage counsellor she’s sweet on.”

“Pronouns, dear,” chided Arwen gently.  “I am not presently a she.  It’s very important to my clients to get the pronouns right.”  Arwen sighed.  “But otherwise, you are correct.”

“So what was the fight really about, then?”

Arwen looked over at Joseph, who nodded and explained.  “It’s something we do a lot of, actually.  Arwen often helps me role-play out scenarios for the couples I work with.  I find it’s much easier than presenting the female viewpoint myself.  Though... if I understand correctly, the next week should give me a crash course in that.”

“Wait, a week... so you’re not here to get changed back?  I am sorry for changing you without permission, Doctor Arwen gave me the go-ahead.”  Donna grabbed her swishy tail in her hands to keep it from twitching, and worried at it.

“No.  I’m here with a... business proposition.  I’ve always been a bit of a rogue, championing extreme marriage counselling in various forms.  Your abilities open an entirely new realm of possibilities!”  Joseph practically beamed with eagerness.

Donna was stunned.  “You’re thinking of having me change your... clients?”

“Imagine the progress they could make if they could really walk a mile in each others’ shoes.”

“It’s overrated,” muttered Donna.

“How so?” Joseph leaned forward, eagerly.  Arwen seemed interested as well.

“It’s just... you get the body, sure.  But being a guy stuck in a woman’s body doesn’t really tell you as much as you’d think about the female condition.  You’re still you inside, without the years of adaptation that a real woman gets.”

“Ah.  Pity.”

“But that’s not entirely true,” protested Gwen.  “You can change their minds, too...”

“Gwen!  I haven’t told Arwen about...”  She looked guiltily at the therapist.  “Oh bother.”

Arwen fixed Donna with a disappointed look.  “You know better than most that counselling only works when you’re truthful and committed to it.”

Donna sighed, and wrung her tail some more.  “I know, it’s just...  Changing people into whatever I feel like is scary enough.  But I can also make them accept their new forms.”

“Just accept?”

Donna winced as one of her claws gouged her tail tip, and let go of it. It thumped against the wall behind her as it swished in agitation.  “Well, the mild form, yeah.  Up to full on ‘I love being this don’t ever change me back’.”  She hurried on to add, “but just like the forms, it wanes as the Moon does, after the third quarter.”

“Ah.  What else aren’t you telling me?” asked Arwen, watching Donna closely.

The tiger-girl dropped her gaze.  “That I can do it to myself... except more so.  I can change my mind any way I like, as far as I can tell.”

“As far as you can tell?”

“It scares me!  I don’t want to mess with it, what happens if I go too far, and forget who I was?”

Gwen hugged Donna warmly.  “Shh, it’ll be OK.  You’ve tranced, so you’ll go back to normal regardless.”  More quietly she whispered, “And I’ll always be here to help you find your way back.”

“Thanks.  So... um, any other questions?”

“Just one,” said Arwen, looking over at Joseph for a confirming nod.  “Can you do that to us?”

“I... what about your clients?  Won’t it be confusing if their counsellors have swapped gender for a week?  You could just wear silver for a while.  It blocks changes, but also has much the same effect mentally.  Except you can take it off... if you remember.”

“If we remember?” asked Arwen with the first tinge of worry Donna had seen.

“It feels perfectly natural to be whatever you are once you’re wearing silver.  Whether it’s the opposite gender, or a tailor’s dummy.”  Donna’s lips curved into a smile as she remembered her time with Pauline earlier in the evening.

“Oh.  So leave ourselves a note, or something?”

Donna nodded.  “That should work.  Leave a few, maybe, just to be safe. Or take turns.”

“Thank you.  That will be... interesting.”  Arwen got up to leave, then paused.  “Oh!  One last thing.  I wanted to see Zoey, as well.”

Donna and Gwen looked over at Liana, who nodded.   “Of course.”

Arwen and Joseph stared in shock as Liana’s nipple flowered open, and a pinkish translucent sphere tumbled out into her hands.  Zoey spat out the implant she’d been holding in her mouth, then grinned up at Arwen.  “Hiya, doc.”

“You’re... you’re...”

“A little sack of silicone.  And I love it!”

Arwen glared at Donna.  “That’s not what I had in mind when I said ‘do what you think is right’.”

“C’mon Liana, let’s go dance.”  With a shoop and a slorp, Zoey was back in place, and Liana was bouncing out of the room, humming happily to herself and her passenger.

Donna shrugged at Arwen. “She’s very, very happy like that.  She spent two weeks that way the last time I was here, and was in almost suicidal despair when I didn’t come back.”

“So... you didn’t make her happy with it?”

Donna’s eyes hardened.  “No.  I’d never do that against someone’s will!”  She sighed.  “Well, not intentionally, anyway.  I have slipped, but Zoey was keen on this before I did anything to her.”

Arwen held up his hands placatingly.  “Sorry!  I... it’s just, I’m used to the idea of trying to help people change their minds so they accept their body.  That’s a big part of what I do.  Changing their body to match their image of self is a major undertaking, normally.  It’s the last step, not the first.”

“Ah.”  Donna nodded.  “I guess, considering how... irreversible it is.  Changing people’s bodies comes easily to me.  Too easily.  Heck, I’ve changed people by accident, or due to a misplaced wish.”

“A wish?”

Gwen giggled.  “Yeah.  Like ‘I wish I had purple hair like yours, Donna’.”

Donna mock-growled at Gwen, but couldn’t help but grin as she watched her friend’s hair change colour and length.  For good measure, she gave Gwen purple leopard-spots all over her body.  “I hadn’t told the good Doctor about that, either.”

Arwen laughed.  “Well, we’re out of time for now.  But we seem to have an awful lot to talk about next week.  The usual time?”

“Yes, Doctor,” Donna said meekly.

As they returned to the green room, Gwen giggled.  “I like the spots, but I’m still missing something.  I wish I had ears and a tail, too.”

“Gwen...”  Donna didn’t even try to stop the changes.

“Come on.  I wouldn’t be a spotty-cat if you weren’t having fun with this.  I’m having fun with it too.  You’ve been letting me change you any way you like, but it’s a two-way street.  Change me into anything, I won’t mind.  I’ll probably love it.”

“You are so going to be my pole next set... oh bother.”  Donna sighed, and sent more power at Gwen to change her stiffening body back to what passed for normal.  “Sorry!”

Gwen just laughed.  “Don’t be sorry!  That was fun.”  She slinked up against Donna.  “And I am so taking you up on that, next dance.”

Rowan caught up with them then, as did Vanessa in her singer’s body.  The latter was still cheerfully humming along to one of her favourite songs.  “We’ve got another singing request for Vanessa, and lots more bombshells for Nissa.”

Donna looked at the name on the piece of paper Rowan was holding out.  “I have no idea who that is.”

Vanessa looked amazed.  “She’s like the third most popular singer today.  Come on, you’ve at least heard this one...”  She launched into a verse of a song.

Donna just shook her head.  “Sorry.”

A few moments at Rowan’s computer brought up some good footage from one of her recent videos, and Donna used that as a reference.  “She’s certainly cute enough.  Go have fun!”

Vanessa’s grin in her new body and skimpy outfit was huge.  “Oh believe me, I will!” she sang, pitch perfect.  She bounced off to the private rooms to meet her client.

Donna smiled as she watched the dancer-turned-singer go.  “She’s having a lot of fun with this.”

Gwen chuckled softly.  “So are you.”

Donna looked over at Gwen, and giggled.  Somewhere along the way Gwen’s spots had turned rainbow-coloured, as had her hair.  “Did I do that?”

Gwen giggled, too.  “Not telling.”

Rowan cleared her throat.  Nissa was standing next to her.  She was naked and holding up her Marilyn Monroe dress hopefully.   “I got a request for her!  I’m so excited...”

Donna could hardly say no.  Kate was next, and got turned into a young Sharon Stone.  “Basic Instinct?” Donna asked, and got a lazy grin.

Gwen laughed.  “Sure, you know a twenty year old film, but not today’s new pop stars.”

Donna turned back to Rowan’s computer briefly to check.  “It’s not twenty years old, just eighteen.  So what’s your point?”

“You’re old.”

Donna stuck out her tongue at Gwen.  “Not in this body I’m not.”

“Come on, let’s go dance and advertise the fantasies even more.”

Jenna made room for them a few minutes later, and they bounced up on to stage.  Donna didn’t let the dance totally take her away, she made sure to shift the patterns and colours of Gwen’s spots from time to time.  The audience reacted well to it, and laughed when an arcane gesture from Gwen turned Donna’s tiger-stripes hot pink.  They played off each other for a while, ending the song with Gwen’s stuck in a stretch, reaching for the ceiling.

As the next song started, Donna began to dance again, but Gwen could not.  Her body acquired a polished sheen, then became solid brass.  At a gesture from Donna she stretched taller and thinner, until her hands spread against the ceiling.  She was thicker than the other dancing poles, and still had enough curves to be recognizably human.

Donna struck a pose next to her handiwork, to cheers from the crowd.  Then she made good use of the pole, lavishing it with attention before turning once more to prowl the edges of the stage.  Her patterned skin continued to change colour, through purples and cherry red, through to a snake-patterned green and and black diamonds.

One audience member in particular cheered that latest change, and Donna turned to look at him.  A familiar face was waving a large denomination bill at her, so she slunk closer.  For the first time in the dance she changed her own limbs, turning her arms into supple snakes.  One scooped up the bill in its teeth, the other stretched out to brush against his cheek.  “Hello snake-charmer,” it hissed with a grin.

He smiled, and blew her a kiss.

After the song ended, Donna perched on the edge of her stage, her snaky arms finally still.  Her body melted away, growing her arms into a larger snake with mouths at either end.  She coiled up around the one person who wasn’t shying away.  “Did you miss me?” she hissed.

The man most of the dancers knew as Creepy Dave answered, “Of course.  Are you back for good?”  He looked up at the stage, then grinned.  “And are you going to leave your friend like that?”

“Yess, and...”  Donna turned one head to face Gwen, admiring her shining form.  She flicked a bit of power at Gwen’s mind, making her even more keen on being a dancing pole, and grinned.  “Yess.  Sshe lovess thiss sstuff.”

Gwen was in no position to argue the point, nor would she if she could have.  Her brass body continued to stand there, serenely smiling, as the next dancer pranced out and did a double-take.

Dave carried Donna-snake off to the bar, where he ordered them both a drink.  Donna contemplated the martini glass on the bar, then slithered up to it, holding her head just above it.  She lapped at it a few times with her forked tongue, then dipped her jaw in for a bigger sip.

Dave chuckled softly.  “Just like my pets at home.  You’re good.”

Donna turned her head back to face him, weaving slightly.  Her body mass was very low just now, and the alcohol was potent.  “I doubt you ply them with gin.”

“No, just the pretty girls who turn themselves into snakes for me.  Can I talk you into some private room time?”

Donna grinned at him fangily.  “Ssure.  What do you have in mind?”

Dave leaned closer and whispered next to Donna’s head.  Her reaction caught him by surprise.  Every muscle in her body tensed, turning her from a sinuous curve draped over his shoulders into a ramrod-straight pole that rolled right off him and landed on the floor with a thud.

Donna rose unsteadily from the floor, human and clothed once more.  She waved off Dave’s concern.  “I’m fine.  You just... surprised me.  That’s... that’s... quite the fantasy.  I don’t think I’m ready for something that extreme.”

“Ah pity.  I was so hoping...”

“Not yet, anyway.”

Dave smiled, and his eyes sparkled.  Donna suggested he write up a few of his milder fantasies, but he shook his head.  He knew what he wanted.  Donna could no longer meet his gaze, and she dashed gracelessly back to the green room, where she collapsed on a chair and shuddered.

Kate came up to her, and laid a tentacle-arm over her shoulder.  “What’s wrong?”

“Dave, the snake guy...”

“Oh, Creepy Dave got to you?  I’ve seen some of the things he’s suggested.  They squick a lot of the girls here.”

“That’s not it,” whispered Donna.  “His idea turned me on.  I want to do it, but it’s insane.  What am I becoming?”

“Human,” said Kate firmly.  “Everybody has weird things that turn them on.  Most people won’t cop to it, but you get them drunk enough and talking...”

“I guess.”

“Don’t sweat it.  You’re taking this far too seriously.  Have fun with it!  Speaking of which... where’s Gwen?”

Donna giggled.  “Still a pole on the stage.  Go dance with her, then I’ll bring her back.”

Kate grinned broadly.  “Coool.  Back in a bit!”

Donna followed Kate as far as the stage entrance, and watched the show.  Halfway through Kate’s set, while she was spinning around Gwen, Donna started the restoration.  Gwen came to life in Kate’s arms, but even once she was human-shaped again she still had burnished brass skin.  The performance the two of them put on drove the crowd wild.

They were laughing among themselves as they returned to the green room, and Donna felt a slight twinge of jealousy.  Gwen was her friend...

All that was put from her mind when Kate announced, “Time for Crazy Eights!  What are the stakes tonight, Donna?”

There was a squeak of dismay from Donna’s direction.  Gwen turned toward her, asking “Donna, are you okay...”  She looked around in confusion.  “Donna?  Where did you go?  Come on, this isn’t funny.”

“Where’d she go?” asked Kate.

“I... think she kind of freaked out and might have just shrunk herself out of existence.”

“What?”

“Oh, it’s not that bad.  You remember from that night, right?  She did it to us.  I just need to find her and bring her back.  Or...  Donna!  Change yourself back this instant.”

A mouse skittered out from under the nearby chair, swiftly growing back to human size and shape.  Donna pouted at Gwen.  “No fair.”

“What’s gotten into you, anyway?”

Donna just stared at her friend.  “The last time we played...”

Gwen’s eyes widened.  “Last time...  Oh!  We’ve played it so often I entirely forgot that was your last game.  The stakes are just who dances last and who cleans up, like it used to be.  We can just do that, tonight.  It doesn’t have to be anything more.”

Donna straightened her shoulders.  “OK.  I can do this.”

The table in the green room was already full to capacity when Kate, Gwen and Donna walked in.  There was a muted cheer when Donna showed up, and Neysa asked what the stakes would be tonight.  Gwen waved off the question, saying they’d just be the usual.

There was a chorus of awwwws from around the table.  Donna looked at all the disappointed faces turned her way and marveled.  “You guys really want something... more?”

“Yes!” was the cry from half a dozen throats.

Donna smiled.  She looked at the table, and saw there were no more chairs.  So she stood by one corner, and crouched.  Her lower body shifted and changed, becoming a wide, plush chair.  “C’mon Gwen, have a seat.”

“Don’t mind if I do.”  Gwen sat down, leaning back to snuggle against her sweetie.

“So,” Donna continued.  “One round.  None of this anteing up cups business.  Winner gets an anything.”

There were curious looks around the table.  “Anything?” asked Kate.

“I’ll change you and your outfit, or outfits, into any shape you like.  No limits.  You get to spend the next hour, or the next week as whatever you like.”

“And the loser?” asked Neysa.

Donna shrugged.  “Gets to clean up, as usual.  What, you want more?”  There were nods around the table.  “I... look, let’s just play, OK?”

Kate dealt their hands from the double deck, and play proceeded with the usual banter and silly chatter.  Donna slowly relaxed as the game progressed.  Everyone was obviously having fun, and seemed genuinely happy to have her there.  The fearful looks she’d dreaded simply weren’t there.

Kate threw down her last eight with a cry of victory.  “Haha!”

Vanessa pouted, and tossed her single remaining card on the table.  “And I was so close, too.”

Donna couldn’t help but grin as she heard Gwen start to say what she was thinking, “Maybe a consolation prize?”

“We’ll figure something out,” added Donna.

They tallied up cards, and tall, blonde Nissa was the one who had the most.  She shrugged stoically.  “I’ve cleaned up before.   Doesn’t really take long.”

Donna stood up, arms still wrapped around Gwen.  Her chair legs merged together and became human once more.  “So, lucky Kate.  One anything.  What will you be tonight?  And for how long?”

Kate grinned hugely.  “A mannequin.  And leave me up front for the whole week this time.”

Donna clucked her tongue.  “But as a mannequin, you won’t be able to dance.  You’re up for the final set, remember?”

“I just want to be hard and shiny again.”

A grin spread across Donna’s face and she gestured at Kate’s tentacle-arms.  They acquired a metallic sheen, silver in contrast to Gwen’s brass.  Then exposed robotic joints appeared at elbow and wrist, and the tips divided into three sleek curves, making three-clawed robotic hands.  “How about a cyborg?”

Kate tapped her metal claws against her arm, grinning like a kid at Christmas at the way they rang.  “I... yes!  But not a cyborg.  Full robot-girl.  One where you can see into the workings here and there, with a glowing line for a face.”  She turned to watch herself in the mirror.

Kate’s head was next, melting into a featureless mirrored ovoid.  A glowing blue line appeared where her eyes had been, giving the impression of a visor.

“Can you see?” asked Donna.

Kate made some grinding, metallic sounds, then just nodded her head.

“Voice-box needs work.  Give me a minute then try again.”

The changes washed down Kate’s body, a tide of silver overtaking her flesh, reshaping it to something just shy of human.  The curves that emerged were beautiful, but alien at the same time.  Her breasts were two large perfect spheres, floating in space and apparently unsupported.  Her waist tapered away to nothing, exposing the cybernetic spine that connected to overtly mechanical yet perfectly rounded hips.  Her legs changed last, perfect tapered cylinders with spherical universal joints at the knees, and rounded rubbery tips for feet.

Kate bounced in place, and a crude synthetic cry of happiness emerged from her head.  After a few tries, she managed to form synthesized words.  “It... is... per-fect.  Thank.  You.”  Her hug nearly crushed Donna, then she bounced out of the room and toward the stage.

Vanessa had watched the entire proceedings with eyes nearly popping out of her head.  “That’s an anything?”

Donna chuckled softly.  “So it was.  Last time, Isolde got turned into a gorgeous ebony succubus.  So.  What little thing can I do for you as a consolation prize?  Let’s say... no more than half your body gets changed.”

“Can you make me sing like the sirens of myth, able to lure men and cloud their minds with just my voice?”

Donna frowned.  “I... have no idea how to do that.  I don’t think I can make your voice magical.  To be honest, I don’t even think I can improve it, you’re an amazing singer.”

“You don’t need magic to cloud men’s minds,” added Gwen, leaning up against her sweetie.  “You can do that already.”

Vanessa dimpled cutely at the compliment.  “Oh.  Hm...  Still, could you give me a tail like a mermaid?  I could get someone to carry me up on stage so I can sing...  Woah!”  Vanessa wobbled as her legs fused together and her bones started to dissolve.  Gwen darted forward and caught her before she could fall, then settled her into a chair.

Vanessa sung happily to herself as she watched her legs merge into a strong, supple tail, adding shining arpeggios on top as her bright scales grew in.  When the changes finally stopped she smiled up at Donna so beautifully that she felt her heart might melt.  “So beautiful...  Thank you!   Can I keep it?”

“For a week.  More with silver.  But you’ll find it hard to go home like that,” Donna concluded with a sigh.

“Ah.  I suppose you’re right.”  Vanessa echoed Donna’s sigh.  “I wish there was some way I could put it on and take it off.”

Donna’s eyes widened, and she whispered, “done.”

Vanessa yelped, then twisted and turned to look behind herself.  “A zipper?  Why do I...”  She looked up at Donna again with wondering eyes, and slowly pulled the zipper down.  Her legs appeared, and she wriggled out of the tail.  “Oh!  So it’s a costume now?”  She ran her fingers over the scales and shuddered.  “But I can still feel it?”

Donna pasted on an encouraging smile.  “Now you can have the best of both worlds.”

Vanessa hugged Donna and kissed her soundly on the lips, then picked up her tail and got Nissa to help her carry it toward the stage.

Gwen mock-glared at Vanessa’s departing tail, and muttered something about poaching.

A little later, while Vanessa was up on stage and singing, Nissa approached Donna.  “So what does the loser get?”

Donna laughed.  “Seriously?  You get to clean up, as I recall.”

Nissa waved that off as unimportant.  “The loser should still lose something.”

Donna looked over at Gwen, who shone a smile back at her.  “They liked that part, too.  It only seems fair.”

“Fine.  A diminishment.  I will make you into something less than you are.”

Nissa tilted her head, then nodded.  “Good.  Should I fetch Kate to choose my fate?”

Donna shook her head.  “No.  I won’t impose changes on the unwilling.  You get to choose, but... as I said, a diminishment.”

“Do I have to shrink?”

“Not necessarily.  You could even grow, if it was into something less than human.”

Nissa’s eyes lit on Gwen’s brassy body.  “What was it like, being a dancing pole?”

Gwen smiled fondly.  “Oh, it was the best.  Feeling all of you rubbing up against me was...”  She shivered.  “Intoxicating.  Before Donna was done, I’d forgotten I’d ever been human.”

Donna looked away, guiltily.  “There might have been a mental nudge involved...”

Gwen slinked up against her sweetie and kissed her ferociously.  When they finally came up for air, Gwen gently beeped Donna’s nose.  “And I loved it to bits.  Don’t feel guilty about it.”

“Then that is what I ask,” said Nissa, solemnly.  “To be a pole, in body and spirit.”

“I’ll restore you at the end of the night,” promised Donna.

“If you must.”

Once Nissa had helped Vanessa off the stage, Donna started the change.  They waited in the shadows at the edge of the stage until Nissa’s body was gone, and in its place stood a featureless brass pole.  Donna carried it up to the stage, and replaced one of the existing ones with it.  “There you go,” she murmured to the pole.  “Part of the furniture.”  She gave Nissa’s mind a nudge, tipping it easily into acceptance of her new role as the front-most pole on the stage.

Once Kate had done her last dance and it was time to close up, Donna went back to restore Nissa.  The tall woman stumbled dazedly off the stage, and hugged Donna fiercely once they were safely out of sight.   “Gwen is so lucky,” she murmured into Donna’s ear.

Except for Kate and Gwen everyone else who needed it had been put back to something passing for normal.  Donna sought out Kate, but couldn’t find her.  When she asked Rowan about it, she said that Kate had been booked for a two hour private session.

“But she’ll be stuck like a robot for a week,” protested Donna.

Rowan laughed.  “You gave her a dream, she’s not letting go so fast.  She’ll be fine.”

Last of all was Gwen, who still had brass-toned skin, though it was currently variegated with stripes of copper.  “Time to go back to normal,” Donna said as they stood by the door.

Gwen sighed as she watched her skin return to its normal hue and glossiness.  “I’d rather be gold.  You could turn me into a ring, and wear me.”

Gwen’s arms melted into her sides, leaving golden caps at her shoulders before Donna got control of the change.  “No.  What would my wife think if I showed up wearing a new ring?  I need to go home, become Duncan again.  You need to go home too.”

“But I just found you again!”  Gwen wailed.  “I don’t want to go back to a cold, lonely apartment.  I want to go with you.”

Gwen looked down at her reforming arms.  “Could you use a new jacket?  Winter’s coming, and a warm snuggly jacket with puffy sleeves would be cozy... for both of us.”  When her wrists formed into cuffs instead of hands, she grinned.  Soon her arms were swelling with down and hollowing out.

Donna shook her head to clear it, and the changes stopped.  “No.  I have a jacket.  One my wife bought for me years back.”

Gwen sighed once more.  “Pity.  I would have enjoyed being your jacket for a week.”  Then her face brightened.  “I know!  I bet you don’t have a costume for Hallowe’en.  That’s right around the corner.”

Donna hesitated, and Gwen’s reversion stopped.  “A costume...”

Gwen grinned, and gave her best sales pitch.  “Imagine a tiger-girl costume, skin-tight and corseted, padded just so to turn Duncan into a pretty kittygirl.”  She could feel her body hollowing out, and her voice softened as her lungs melted away.  “Twitchy ears, and a swishy... tail.  Oooh.”  Gwen’s face collapsed, becoming a hollow hood with built-in feline mask.

Donna looked at the costume in her hands longingly.  It was beautiful, and she knew it would fit her Duncan-self perfectly.  He would be so pretty...  But...

“Oh, Gwen.  I would love this so much.  But keeping you as a costume?  That’s just... wrong.”

“I wish,” came Gwen’s voice, faintly, “you didn’t think that.”

“Gwen!”  Donna shuddered as her mind slipped and spun under her own touch.  She swayed by the door for a moment until she found her equilibrium once more.

As Donna left the building she pulled the costume tight against her chest.  “Oh... you’re going to make this a perfect Hallowe’en.”
