“Oh my God.  Terri, is that you?  You’re... you’re huge!”

Terri looked down at the tiny form in the wooden box, tears trickling from her eyes.  “Yes, Anna.  It’s me.  I...”

Anna climbed out of the box, and hugged her lover’s hand.  “What’s wrong, why are you crying?”

Terri’s voice trembled as she asked,  “What’s the last thing you remember?”

Anna touched the ring Terri was wearing on her right hand.  “This ring.  I remember the day you gave it to me, on the beach in Phuket.  You proposed, I said yes before I could think about all the ramifications.  Then I started to panic, imagining what my parents would say.”

Terri smiled weakly.  “I remember that.  I tried to calm you, but you wouldn’t have any of it.  You stormed off, down the beach.  Do... do you remember the earthquake?”

Anna frowned in puzzlement, then slowly began to speak.  “Oh... yes, I guess.  It didn’t feel like much, I was out on the beach.  I was so angry, I was just walking, and walking.”

She sat down next to her lover’s hand, arms wrapped tightly about herself, trembling.  “I didn’t really notice that I’d been walking out so far until the water was lapping at my ankles.  Then I looked towards the shore, and it was so, so far away.  There was so much water, and the last thing I remember was crying into it, because the last thing I’d said to you was so hurtful, and I’d never get to make it right.”

Terri’s tears fell onto Anna’s legs.  “I forgave you for that, so, so many times.  Not that it made it better.  Nothing did.  It took them weeks to find you, and if it wasn’t for this ring...”  She touched it gently, smiling at it through the tears.  “It was the only way I could identify your body.”

“My body... so what am I now?”

“You remember that I used to dabble in magic, right?”

Anna nodded slowly.  “But you could only change little things.  The shape of a breast, or other fun parts.  I didn’t think you could bring the dead to life.”

“I can’t.”  Terri touched the ornate wooden box.  “It took me three years of research just to find out that these ever existed.  Two more to gather the materials, and six months to get it made.  I had to improvise a bit, the originals were a lot bigger.”

“What is it?”

“A cask of restoration.  I kept your ashes, and they’re built into it.  All I have to do is close it, use a little magic to activate it, and you’ll be restored inside it good as new... but the size you are now.  I’m so sorry, sweetie, I just can’t afford to make one any bigger.  I wiped out most of my inheritance just to make this one.”

Anna slowly walked up to the box, and touched it reverently.  “So if something happens to me again...”

“I can bring you back.  Again and again.  I can never, ever lose you again.  You just come back the size of my hand.  I wish I could do better, but...”

Anna walked over to Terri’s hand, and hugged it tight once again.  “Pick me up.”

Terri scooped Anna up gently, ever so gently.  Anna could feel Terri’s hand trembling under her, it felt like an earthq... no, don’t think about that.

“Kiss me.”

“But you’re so tiny... I might crush you.”

“So?  You can just bring me back again.  I want to kiss you so badly.  To make up for... everything.”

Anna felt herself crushed against her lover’s lips, and tried to kiss back.  It was the most wonderful kiss she ever remembered, Terri’s lips covered her from head to hips.  She wriggled and squirmed, moaning softly.

Terri gasped when she heard that, and quickly set Anna down. “Oh Goddess, are you OK?  I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

“Nothing fatal.  I think you crushed a few ribs, but it... I don’t care.  I want to be with you, no matter what happens.”  She coughed up a little blood.  “Uh, if that box works like you said, maybe you should use it again.”

Terri nodded, and with a quick dart of her hand, the box slammed shut behind Anna.  The tiny woman watched in amazement as Terri’s hand acquired a familiar glow.  The instant it transferred to the box, Anna vanished.

Terri picked up the dental explorer, and probed at the box’s latch.  It was far too tiny to open with her fingers.  A few moments later the latch popped open, and Anna looked up at her from the box once more.

“Terri?”

“Anna... uh, what’s the last thing you remember?”

Anna pointed to the ring on Terri’s right hand.  “That ring.  I remember the day you gave it to me, on the beach in Phuket.”

The colour drained from Terri’s face.  “Oh no... you don’t remember the last few minutes?”

Terri grinned hugely.  “Gotcha!  I remember everything, that wonderful immense kiss, biting the inside of my mouth so I could spit up some blood and fake I had broken ribs, everything.”

“You...  Oh you little minx, you nearly scared me to death!  You’re really OK?  I didn’t hurt you when I kissed you?”

Anna shook her head.  “And the bite inside my cheek is all better, too.  That box is incredible.  You can do anything to me, and I’ll come back.  Anything.”

Terri brandished the dental tool at the love of her life.  “Why I outta.”

Anna cowered in mock terror.  “Oh no!  Not the bikini!”

Terri made swift work of Anna’s tiny clothing, then set the fearsome tool aside.  She couldn’t keep up the menacing look, she was too worried.  “I didn’t hurt you when I did that, did I?”

Anna looked up at Terri lovingly.  “No.  And I don’t care if you do.  No safeword, no nothing.  Do anything to me, I am yours.”

“You don’t want me to try to grow you back to full size?” Terri asked, wonderingly.

“You could do that?  I thought your limit was about nine inches.”

“It would take a couple months, growing you a bit at a time.”

“Oh.  Maybe one day.  Right now, you... God, you’re so beautiful like this.  I want to make love to you, just like this.  And then...”

“And then?”

“Well, I figure I’m about nine inches tall.”

Terri nodded, slowly.  “Pretty close.”

“So you could change all of me.  Into a dildo, for example.”

Terri sucked in a breath.  “Oh Goddess... you would let me do that to you?”

“Yes.  When I said I am yours, I meant that, too.  Change me into anything.  Anything at all.  I want those lips around me, pulling me inside to that marvellous tongue of yours.”

“You... you want me to eat you?”

“In every possible way.  That magic box can bring me back again, and again, and again.”

“I don’t know...  Eating a person seems wrong.”

“So turn me into chocolate first.”

Terri’s hand reached out for Anna, and started to glow.  “As you wish.”
