Raveled 5
----------
The Saturday after Tess turned Jess' pussy into a pocket pussy, it was Tess' turn to be pleased with a minimal hangover. She checked herself out, found nothing obvious amiss, and tossed on a robe to meet Jess for coffee.
Jess was slouched in a chair when Tess found her, and gestured to a steaming cup of coffee on the counter. Tess sat with Jess, talking idly and avoiding the question of just what had changed. Jess kept a better poker face this time.
Eventually, Tess gave up and returned to her room to dress for the day. She was back out shortly.
"Jess... why don't my clothes fit?"
Jess stood up and walked over to look her friend in the eyes. Tess looked down.
"No platform shoes?"
"Nope."
"But I'm normally half a foot taller than you."
"Yup."
"You... shrank me? How?"
"Not shrunk. Just a few inches here and there. Your legs are four inches shorter, and your torso two."
"But... how?"
Jess grinned. "Shall I demonstrate?"
Tess nodded, eyes aflame with curiosity.
"Pull up your shirt. We'll do another two inches off your belly."
Once Tess had complied, Jess ran the magic ribbon around her trim belly thrice, creating a ribboned band just above her hips. She supported Tess' upper body while she picked the ribbon apart, then shoved down. Upper half slid into lower half, and two inches disappeared. So did Tess' belly button.
Tess ran a finger across the seem wonderingly. "Is that as far as it goes?"
"No." Jess pushed down on Tess' shoulders, and more inches vanished. "Is that enough, short stuff?"
Tess looked up into her friend's face, a novel experience. "Wow. This is... different."
"Shall I stop?" Jess' hands were still weighing on Tess' shoulders.
"Give me your best shot."
Jess pushed harder, only stopping when Tess' breasts snagged against the seam. "Oh! I didn't think it'd... Wow."
Tess looked down at her nonexistent belly, her breasts perched right atop her hips. "Don would call this the good bits version."
Jess snickered. "If he didn't run screaming."
Tess laughed. "Yeah. Still... if I got rid of the rest, and was just there in bed for him, tits and pussy... what would he do?"
Jess snorted. "Treat you like a sex toy - use you for his pleasure then push you away."
"So no change, then." Tess sniffled a bit.
Jess sat down on Tess' bed, pulling her diminished and surprisingly light friend into her lap. "Oh, Tess. Shh, it's OK."
Tess dripped silent tears into her friend's cushiony bosom for some time.
Eventually, once Tess seemed calmer, Jess tried to disentangle herself. "Come on, time to put you back together and face the world."
Tess sighed. "Just five more minutes?"
Jess smiled, and stroked Tess' hair again. "OK."
Tess snuggled in, and sighed contentedly.
Be the time Tess was done, her new seams had set, and they had to ribbonize everything below her shoulders to set her right again.
Over the next week, the social dynamic at the apartment changed. Tess and Jess never discussed their talk, but there was a new distance between Jess and Don, and even a little between Tess and Don.
Jess made a point of finding opportunities to touch Tess. An arm-touch here, a hug there, sitting closer to her on the couch when watching TV. Tess didn't say anything, but her smiles were thanks enough.
The next Saturday, Jess woke up clear-headed. She didn't even think shed been drunk at all last night. She wiggled her toes, wiggled her fingers, and generally checked herself out. She could feel everything, but something felt off. Before she could figure it out, there was a knock at the door.
Tess came in bearing a tray. "Breakfast in bed!"
Jess sat up, grinning. "Thanks... woop!" She pitched onto her face. "Uh, T, where are my legs?"
"Eat up. I'll be be back with your legs later." Tess helped Jess sit up and balance on her waist.
The breakfast was delicious, but it wasn't nearly enough to distract Jess from the disappearance of all sensation in her legs. "Tess?" she called out uncertainly. "What are you doing?"
Tess strolled back into the room. "Looking for pants that fit these legs."
"Those are my legs!"
Tess ignored the comment, and pulled out a a pair of track pants from a drawer. "Is this all you have? Shapeless pants to go with shapeless tops?"
"Um... yes?"
"Hm. They'll do, for now."
"For now?"
"Yup. Enjoy breakfast! I'll be back in a few hours."
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"To get these babies in shape!" Tess slapped her thigh.
Jess took so long to formulate an answer that Tess had left the apartment before she could say anything. So she sighed, and tucked back in to her breakfast.
It was a bit of a struggle to get out of bed, but Jess managed it without falling. After a few false starts, she even got pretty good at moving around. She used the base of her torso as a foot, and could swing it forward by standing on her hands.
Jess found her textbooks conveniently stacked on the coffee table, so she hopped up onto the couch and settled in to a good study session. She got so wrapped up in her books that she even forgot her legs were gone.
It thus came as something of a surprise when Tess walked in on her stolen legs. Even more surprising was what she was wearing - a pair of tight-fitting exercise pants. Tess was more than a little winded, but still had enough energy to turn back and forth in front of a gape-mouthed Jess, showing off.
Tess flopped onto the couch beside her friend. "The good news is, your legs look awesome. You would not believe the number of catcalls I got wearing these back from the gym."
Jess blushed. "That's why I cover up! I hate being seen as an object. Nobody cares who I am."
"Seriously?"
Jess nodded.
"If you say so. The bad news is your legs are way out of shape. I know our schedule is full with classes and study, but maybe you could jog home instead of walking?"
To Tess' amazement, Jess stripped her top off. She was wearing the emerald green bra, and it looked amazing on her.
Jess hefted her breasts. "These are why I don't. I can't run, or jog, or do much of anything but walk."
"Oh... right, you dropped out of sports when they came in."
"Yeah, they're why. Well, that and the cattiness in the locker room."
Tess winced at the memories. "Ugh. Well, there's got to be something you can do. Swimming?"
"With these floatation devices? It's ludicrous."
Tess tried not to giggle. She failed. But Jess laughed along with her, to her relief.
"Maybe a stationary bike would work. Your upper body stays still. Mostly."
Jess shrugged. "I can try it, anyway. Thanks, Tess."
Tess smiled. "Don't thank me yet. Your legs have been worked hard, you're going to feel it tomorrow."
"I still want them back. I can't reach the counter in the kitchen and I'm starving!"
"Come, our stomachs will make what's homely savory."
"Sorry?"
"We'll find something to eat first, then fix our legs."
"Sounds great."
Tess was right about Jess' legs. Jess winced and hobbled her way through Sunday. By Monday she felt much better, and could swear she felt a bit stronger too. She even joined Tess on a trip to the gym later in the week. There were a few hard looks, but to Jess' relief nobody said anything. Tess was right about the exercise bikes, too. Jess could get a good workout on them without her breasts causing chaos.
That Friday, Tess managed to cajole Jess out dancing with the tight-fitting pants on. Tess dressed as flashy as she could, so Jess didn't attract too many leers. Still, the hungry looks she did get were enough to send her scurrying home after half an hour.
Tess hugged her friend once they got back to the apartment. "You did great, sweetie."
"I ran like a scared mouse."
"But not right away. We'll get you out in sexy clothes yet."
Jess laughed. "In your dreams."
Tess just grinned.
Jess poured drinks, and the two girls drank as they talked. After the second round, Tess realized she was feeling pretty tipsy. Several drinks later, Jess was leading a weaving, stumbling Tess to bed. Tess grinned as she collapsed into bed, this one was going to be a doozy.
Tess woke up with a pounding headache, roused by the smell of fresh coffee. Her eyes cracked open to see Jess, dressed in a tight red top, offering her breakfast on a tray. Jess lifted the coffee cup to her lips, and Tess drank greedily.
Once Tess was finished, she looked around. The room was familiar, Jess' smiling face was familiar. Everything else felt off.
Tess mulled the problem as Jess fed her bites of toast with jam. She stole peeks at her body between bites. Shoulders - check. Breasts - check. Stomach and hips - check.
"Is something wrong?" Jess inquired.
"I... don't know."
"You don't remember the accident?"
Tess shook her head, puzzled.
"It's probably for the best that you don't remember your arms and legs."
Tess smiled, then quickly covered it up. "Yes, you're probably right."
After Jess finished feeding Tess her breakfast, she lifted Tess into a wheelchair, and wheeled her out to the living room. "What would you like to do today?"
There aren't a lot of things a limbless girl can do, so they spent the morning on the couch watching TV. After the second time Tess toppled over, Jess came and sat right next to her, with one arm around her to keep her balanced. Tess smiled, and snuggled against her friend.
Jess cooked an easy lunch of macaroni and cheese, and put it all on one plate. She brought it to a still-balanced Tess in the living room, and set it on the coffee table. She snuggled up against Tess once more. One forkful would go to her friend, the next to herself.
Tess asked for her textbooks after lunch, and they spent a quiet afternoon next to each other, studying. Every now and again Tess would make a soft noise, and Jess would reach over and turn a page.
Jess got pizza delivered for dinner. Tess asked to sit at the table, and the only arrangement Jess could figure out was to sit Tess in her lap. She curled one arm around Tess' waist, and held pizza slices to her mouth with the other.
After a tender sponge-bath, it was time for bed. Jess tucked her friend into the comically oversized king-sized bed.
"Anything else I can do for you?" Jess asked.
"Yes. Get me four shots of vodka, my arms, and my legs."
"Three shots, and how long have you known?"
"Three? Man, I've become a lightweight," Tess sighed. "And you're a lousy liar. Accident? Don't add unnecessary details."
"You've known all day?" asked Jess, incredulously. "Why didn't you say something?"
"I enjoyed it. You were so cute, caring and catering for me."
"Oh. Then you're welcome."
"Still need my limbs. And my shots."
Once Tess had her limbs back, she stared at them in wonder. "How odd. They seem so alien."
"Can you move them?"
Tess flopped her arms about. "Not really. You'll need to give me my shots."
Jess did so, holding the tumbler up to Tess' lips. "Sweet dreams."
"Don't forget the ribbon on the door. Don must be steaming."
"Oh! Right."
Don stormed into the apartment, nearly knocking Jess down in passing. He carried on into the bedroom where much loudness ensued. The argument part was awfully brief, and Jess worried about her friend. But she wasn't objecting. Soon enough, it sounded like she was having a pretty good time...
Jess shook her head as she trailed toward her bed. "I just don't get it. To each their own."
