Moonstone - Chapter 7
---------
When Duncan finally woke up Sunday morning, she was intimately familiar with where she was and the shape of her body. The enormous breasts granted by the combination of the Moonstone and a certain pink size 42L bra had made finding a comfortable position nearly impossible.
As she stumbled out to the kitchen to try to perk up with some breakfast, she was glad of two things. First, that she'd let the Moonstone transform her fully - this gave her the back muscles if not the reflexes to manage her ponderous bosom. Second, that none of the neighbours could see into their kitchen. None of her clothes fit, and even the bulky old bathrobe she was wearing wouldn't fully close. It was going to be a long day...
When Sidney finally emerged for her morning coffee, Duncan was lying on the couch with a book propped against his breasts. "Why are all the curtains closed?" she asked.
"Do you want to explain to the neighbours what a half-naked porn star is doing here?" Duncan's new voice lilted in reply.
Sidney started a bit at her husband's voice and appearance, then she sighed. "Oh. Right. That's you. You are going back to normal again soon, right?" she asked, archly.
Duncan leered at her wife. "You can't tell me you didn't enjoy last night."
Sidney blushed, then turned and made her way to the kitchen. Behind her, Duncan called out. "Don't worry, I'm as eager to change back as you. Eating breakfast left crumbs in places I shouldn't have."
Once she had her cup of half-caf coffee, Sidney was in a better mood. "So. You've discovered some of the downsides to having a shelf in front of you. Still think this is fun?"
Duncan snorted. "It's given me some idea what you face, at least." She paused to think. "Yeah, I'm still glad I go ta chance to see how the other half lives. And loves. Thanks for being... open-minded."
Sidney fidgeted in her chair. "What brought htat on, anyway? You didn't find some silver and end up with this body's mind, did you?"
Duncan shook her head. "Nah. I'm all me - I can't even fell an echo of this body's mind. Too different, probably."
"That's a relief."
"Yeah. No chance I"ll swap over without noticing like yesterday. Still... I'd rather keep well away from silver, who knows what would happen. Would I even remember who I'm supposed to be?"
"Eep! I'll be extra careful, then. Still, if you were in your right mind, why the sudden interest in, uh, intimacy?"
Duncan grinned saucily. "Like I told you - this body is a firecracker. Just trying to dig for the crumbs from breakfast nearly set me off again. I need a shower, badly, but I know I'm likely to get... loud. I didn't want to wake Courtney."
"Mama?" Courtney asked from the hallway.
Sidney turned to her daughter. "Sweetie! You're up... what would you like for breakfast?" She made shooing motions at Duncan.
Duncan levered herself up from the couch. "Good morning Courtney."
Courtney just frowned, and pulled a bit closer to her mother. "Where Daddy?"
Duncan heaved a sigh, and headed toward the bedroom. "I'll be downstairs, I guess. See you in the afternoon."
"That might be best," Sidney replied, a bit frostily.
Duncan took some time to dig through the closet in the vain hope of finding anything to wear. Her track-pants could be tied tight enough to fit, but even her baggiest T-shirts strained terribly when asked to contain her chest. Before heading downstairs, he grabbed the Moonstone's box so he could change back as soon as the Moon rose.
The day passed slowly. Their 'office' was crammed full of the stuff they'd had to move out of Sidney's old office - their son-to-be's nursery, now. There was an old computer there, and it wasn't too hard to get it online again. Or it wouldn't have been if Duncan had been in his usual form. Crawling around under the desk with cables was not at all practical when heavily front-loaded. Still, it was a distraction from Courtney's rejection. Duncan was surprised, even a few hours later, at how much that had stung.
Eventually, though, Duncan felt the tingle of the Moonstone's power radiate from the open box. She stripped out of the bra and was back into his old robe in a flash. It took a bit of struggling to get the robe to close at first, but those enormous breasts shrunk rapidly as he pressed in on them, and soon he was back in his normal body once more. He felt himself up a bit just to make sure everything was in the right place.
At the base of the stairs he paused. It wasn't as if his wife knew exactly when the Moon would rise, and by now Courtney would be napping so it wasn't as if he was immediately needed upstairs. He turned toward the downstairs bathroom instead, Moonstone and absurdly oversized bra in hand. After all, he rationalized, next week he'd have to get the boring little nursing bras from Pauline, and greet the full Moon with one on. His son would be born soon, and he had to be ready... ready for all the work that a second child about the house would entail, too. This might be has last chance to really play with it for who knew how long.
He set the Moonstone's box on the floor, well away from the mirror, where he'd be standing. He didn't want a repeat of the limbless incident... at least, not without being able to change back. Of course, inspired by the memory, his first 'test' was to use the bra to reduce his legs to a huge pair of breasts. Watching his legs slowly vanish proved quite... distracting. He'd spent part of the afternoon wondering how to expand on the reducing effect the catsuit had produced, and now wondered just how far he could push things. So he grabbed the straps of the bra in his hands, and pulled. And watched in fascination as the bra ate his hips, his slightly flabby belly, and kept on going. Before he knew it, he'd reduced himself to a head, two arms, and two ridiculously large breasts... that didn't seem quite so ridiculously large now that they constituted the bulk of his body.
Duncan sat for a time on the bathroom rug, pondering the manipulations it would take to lift the bra even higher. It just didn't seem possible without outside help, the leverage just wasn't there. There was no way that Sidney would consider such a request, was there? Probably not. That left some sort of pulley or winch. As a marvelous contraption worth of Rube Goldberg assembled itself in Duncan's mind, she realized something. First, the bathroom floor she was sitting on was making her legs chilly. Second, she had legs. Duncan stood up, looked at herself in the mirror, and laughed. "Back where I started," lilted the porn star body's voice. "That contraption's going to have to shut the Moonstone box at the right time, too. Bah, maybe I should ask for help, after all."
She stared past herself in the mirror, one hand holding the bra in place. "I didn't have lungs, earlier. So it should be safe. Shouldn't it?" She arranged the robe to be near at hand, then clapped the bra to her chin. She waited, watching over the edge of the bra, as the bulk of her face was reshaped. When she pulled it away, everything below her eyes was gone - nose, mouth, chin, all had been reformed into a breast with a nipple protruding proudly from the middle. Her hand rested nervously on the robe as she awaited her lungs' verdict. No burning sensation. No discomfort even - she had nothing to breathe through, and it just didn't seem to matter. She would have grinned and sighed with relief if either action was actually possible just now. Instead, she closed the bra carefully about her head. The world went dark and quiet.
Of course, she had to play with her new appendage. It felt as if the nipples were wired directly to her pleasure center, and the first touch drove her to her knees. She sort of lost track of time after that.
Later, a very male Duncan picked up the bra and the Moonstone box, then marched upstairs and back into the world of husbands and wives, children, and adult responsibility.
While it wouldn't be true to say he never looked back, Duncan's week did play out much like he'd imagined. Monday he picked up two strapless nursing bras from Pauline on the way home. Tuesday he put one on, and only briefly entertained the thought of wearing both at once. He wore one to work Wednesday, coming home at lunch to pump once. Nobody commented on either point. There were last minute furniture rearrangements in the nursery to deal with, and the usual cycle of work, commuting and childcare once home. The rise of the full Moon on Sunday almost caught him by surprise.
Duncan went out to greet the full Moon, bringing the Moonstone along in its box to recharge it. It had dimmed noticeably after his extensive use of it, and he really didn't want to run out. Fall was coming soon, and with it cloudy days... who knows when he'd get another chance to charge the stone. Once that was taken care of, Duncan turned toward the Moon and let his gaze get lost in it.
This time, the vision of the month ahead was chaotic, fragmented. It seemed that the Moon had no more idea when the baby would be born than Duncan did, but it would happen at some point in the month. Duncan felt a renewed sense of confidence in his decision to use the Moonstone's magic to nurse his son. He felt ready for the new adventure his family was about to embark on.
That confidence was sorely tested two weeks later when Sidney woke him about five in the morning. "It's time."
The day passed in a blur of fuzzy-headed concern for his straining wife. It ended with a rush to surgery for a C-section, Duncan sitting by his wife's head as mysterious things that he didn't really want to know more about went on on the far side of a fabric partition. He got to see his son only briefly, as there was some unspecified concerns that saw him whisked off to the NICU for monitoring. The nurse then firmly suggested that Duncan was no longer needed in the operating room.
So there he sat, in exactly the same prep-room chair he'd been in while Sidney was closed up after Courtney's C-section. Except that time he'd had his daughter to hold and rock during the brief wait for his wife to emerge. This time he just had to sit and wait. And wait. And listen to the crying babies on the ward. His breasts ached in sympathy. And still he waited...
