Moonstone - Chapter 6
---------
When Duncan woke up the next morning, he was briefly confused - the bed was so big! Even in their king-sized bed his toes were usually near the bottom edge of the mattress but now he couldn't even find it. He thumped gracelessly to the floor, as it was quite a bit further down than he'd expected. The impact jarred him awake, reminding him how he'd used a very stretchy catsuit and the Moonstone to shrink small enough to... what was the original goal again? He found it in a bag beside the Moonstone's box - the bra from Pauline, an enormous pink bra that seemed even bigger now. Holding it up in the dim light that filtered in through their heavy drapes, he marvelled at the size of the cups. "They're as big as my head!" he exclaimed.
"Mrfle... What? What's as big as your head?" Duncan's wife Sidney asked sleepily from her side of the bed. Duncan held the bra out so she could see it. "Good grief, how big is that?" she asked, amazed.
"Pauline had some unclaimed custom bras, and threw this one in to get me to prepay for three of the 47A's I need. She said it was a 42L."
Sidney stared at the pink hammock for a while. "I can buy that. What were you going to do with it, though?"
Duncan blushed a bit. "Wear it, in front of the Moonstone."
"Seriously?" Sidney exclaimed. "Wait, you'd never get a 42 band on."
"Which is why I bought the catsuit."
Sidney got out of bed and waddled over to Duncan, mindful of the weight of her pregnant belly. "Wow. You are short, shorter on me than I usually am to you. How does it feel?"
Duncan stepped up against his wife and found his eyes were at her shoulder level. It took only the slightest duck of his head to bury his face in her breasts. "It's almost perfect," he mumbled, muffled by them.
"Almost?" Sidney laughed, as she hugged her husband.
Duncan hugged back, amazed at how little his arms overlapped. "Yeah. A few inches shorter and I'd be eye-to-breast with you."
Sidney laughed louder, then giggled as Duncan rubbed his cheeks against her breasts. "Hey, your beard isn't scratchy... did you shave already?"
"Nah. Seems the catsuit was a women's style."
Sidney pushed Duncan out to arm's length and looked him over. "Huh. I didn't notice last night - you've got no chest to speak of."
Duncan chuckled ruefully as he admitted, "I sure noticed when I had to go to the bathroom."
Sidney gestured for him to turn around, and he did. "Pretty androgynous, not really either," she appraised. "You still have a cute bum, though."
"Thanks," Duncan replied, grinning.
"So. You're female, under five feet tall, and stuck like that until... when?"
"About 3, when the moon rises."
"And this doesn't bother you?"
Duncan shrugged his slim shoulders. "I'll be back to normal soon enough. For now, it's a chance to see the world from a new perspective."
"Huh. I guess. Should I be worried that you like being a girl?"
Duncan looked up into his wife's concerned face. "I like being a guy."
"I hear a 'but' coming..." fretted Sidney.
"Yeah. But I like being a girl, too. It's... different. I like being different. I mean, look at me. I'm usually the big strong one that can hoist you off your feet. If you weren't pregnant, you could pick me up easily, now."
Sidney chuckled softly at that. "I guess that's true enough. You're a lot bigger than Courtney, though, and I can't really pick her up any more."
"Huh. I bet I'll have trouble with that now, too. Should make it an interesting morning once she wakes up."
"Have you checked to make sure she isn't? She can open her door now, you know."
"Crud. Let me get a shirt or something on, and we can go see."
While their daughter wasn't awake just yet, she emerged, yawning, while they were still having breakfast.
"Good morning, sweetie," called Duncan when he saw her.
Courtney responded with a huge grin. "Daddy home!"
Duncan walked over to her and scooped her up with a grunt of effort. His arms ached with the effort, and he had to struggle not to just put her back down immediately. "Yes I am, it's the weekend!"
"Daddy small!" she exclaimed, once she was back on her feet. It was true enough - while she was still smaller than him, she came up to the middle of his chest, rather than his waist.
"Yes," Duncan agreed. "I'm small today. Is that OK?"
Courtney nodded and gave her father a big hug. Then demanded breakfast.
The day progressed much like any other Saturday of late. A lazy morning, lunch, then given the good weather it was time to take Courtney off to a park to play for a while. Duncan had to persuade his wife to drive - while he could (just) manage to reach the pedals, he didn't really want to have to pull out his driver's licence which described him as a 6'2" male while he was a 4'10" female. The bigger problem was finding clothes that would fit. Duncan tried adding a pair of swim trunks to the (now) oversized T-shirt he was wearing, and tying the waistband really really tight. Sidney just laughed, and said he looked like a ragamuffin. Eventually, Sidney managed to dig up an old blouse of hers, one she hadn't been able to fit into for a decade or more. Tying a sash around Duncan's waist made it a passable sundress.
At the park, Duncan initially felt a little self-conscious - especially after a well-meaning parent commented on Sidney's lovely daughters... As he followed Courtney around to make sure she was safe as she climbed and slid and swung, he started to spend a bit more time on the climbing and exploring too. It was actually kind of fun, and since everyone would see him as a child anyway, why not? He discovered that while he might be weaker in his current shape, that was more than offset by how much lighter he'd become, and he could swing with ease on the monkey bars, much to his daughter's delight.
On the drive home, Sidney commented, "Both of you seemed to be having fun."
Duncan grinned. "Yeah. I usually follow her up onto the climbing stuff some anyway, but I just end up standing there, watching. Once I realized nobody except you would think it weird if I actually played on it, it was a lot of fun. I think Courtney liked having someone closer to her size on the playground stuff with her, too."
"Yeah, she got a kick out of that. So," Sidney asked, a bit uncertainly, "would you do that again?"
"Sure! It's more fun to play than just watch."
"I guess." Sidney was quiet for a while. "Should we get you some proper clothes for this size?"
Duncan chuckled. "What, there's something wrong with me wearing your old blouses?"
"Yes!" Sidney almost shouted.
Duncan looked over at her, concerned. "What's wrong?"
"What's wrong is that my husband looks and acts like a pre-teen girl. I married a man, not... this."
"Ah." Duncan gave himself a little shake, and then slowly added. "OK. We're almost home, the Moon will rise in a few minutes. Once Courtney's down for her nap, I'll change back."
True to his word, Duncan was back to his normal stature minutes after Courtney had finally settled down. Sidney smiled when he came up and gave her a big hug. "Ah, that's more like it."
"Happy now?" Duncan asked softly.
Sidney nodded. "I missed having you around."
"I was right here all along," Duncan protested.
"Really? Who were you in the park... Duncan, or a young Donna?"
"I was..." Duncan paused, uncertain. "Huh. I totally missed that."
"See? I told you magic was dangerous."
"I was still me. Just a slightly more playful version. Not like when you touched me with silver. I mean, I'd happily play with Courtney in the playground like that without the change, it's just... I don't know, not something you're supposed to do as a grown-up, right? Being that size just made it all easier."
"But you were still Donna, not Duncan."
"Our interests converged. I wanted to play. She was just... better at it." Duncan smiled at the memory.
"But doesn't that scare you? You didn't even notice that you were someone else, for a while."
Duncan shrugged. "It wasn't like that. More like she's a facet of my personality that got a chance to come to the fore. It was fun."
Sidney shook her head. "You're weird."
Duncan laughed. "Yup. And you know you love it."
Sidney had to smile, finally. "Well, yeah. Just... come back to me, OK?"
"Always. It might be fun to take a vacation from myself once in a while, but you know how vacations are - you're always glad to be home once you're done."
"Good."
They had a quiet afternoon together, at least until Courtney woke up again. She wasn't in the least taken aback that her father was normal sized again, and was quite happy to be scooped up and carried about by him. Duncan was glad that he could do so once again.
After dinner, cleaning up, baths, lullabyes and bedtime, Duncan and Sidney once again had a bit of time to themselves. While they were watching TV, Sidney noticed that Duncan's attention wasn't really on the show. He was always turning to look toward the bedroom.
She sighed. "I know you want to try it out. You're like a kid with a new toy."
Duncan just grinned. "A bit, yeah. You do it too, when you have something new to wear."
Sidney harrumphed, but she was smiling. "Let's see how silly you look." She paused their show while Duncan scooted off to the bedroom.
The figure that emerged from the bedroom some minutes later bore no resemblance whatsoever to Duncan. She was wearing the enormous pink bra, and it fit her like a glove. She stood a little shorter than Duncan, and the rest of her curves were almost as exaggerated as her chest. She also had long blonde hair where Duncan's had been short and dark, an angelic, heart-shaped face, and bright blue eyes.
Sidney shook her head. "Are you in there, Duncan? You look... different."
The woman nodded. "I think so. I feel different. Everything about this body is strange. Kind of tingly, too." Her lilting voice had nothing of Duncan in it.
"Wait a minute... I know who you are! You're Kimmy. Well, a younger version of her."
"Who?" The look of confusion on her face made it even prettier.
"I had a few friends in common. She left years ago, I heard she'd gotten into porn. I can see why!"
Faux-Kimmy's body shivered, and she wrapped her arms around her chest. "I can feel why. This body is a firecracker ready to go off."
"Oh. Um... maybe you should change back, then."
"Aww. I just want to... y'know..."
"No. Just... no. I won't do that."
"I wasn't asking you to." The stranger turned back toward the bedroom, and called over her shoulder, "I'll be in my bunk."
Sidney snorted at the reference. "Well, at least I know it's still Duncan in there," she muttered to herself, then went back to her book. She tried to ignore the noises coming through the wall, but it wasn't easy.
Eventually the house was quiet once more. After a while, Sidney put down her book and laboriously made her way to the bedroom to see if Duncan or whoever had fallen asleep. There was a naked woman sleeping tangled in the covers, so she figured the answer was yes. She gave the sleeping form a nudge. "Come on, sleeping beauty. Time for bed."
"Mrfle? Oh... hi." She blushed prettily, too. "Sorry about the noise."
"It wasn't too bad. Just change back, and we can call it a night, OK?"
"Um... It's almost eleven. The Moon set half an hour ago."
"You're stuck... again?" Sidney exclaimed.
"Sorry," peeped that lilting voice. "I got a bit carried away."
Sidney started laughing. "A bit? Honey, that was more than a bit. Come on, let's get you cleaned up and into bed."
Later, Duncan cuddled up against her wife in bed. Sidney grumbled something about it feeling odd to have breasts bigger than her own pressing against her back.
"Aw, c'mon. Don't be like that." Duncan brushed a slim hand over his wife's breasts, and then slipped it under her nightie. "We can still have a little fun."
Sidney levered herself over to face this strange female body in her bed. "What? We haven't done... anything, since I got pregnant. And now you want to... like this?"
Duncan answered by kissing her on the lips. While everything else about it felt wrong... that felt somehow right. The taste was familiar as their tongues explored each other. It was enough.
