Princess Crystal Blackthorne knocks on the door to her father's bed chamber. There is no response. She opens the door and peers into the room. "Father? Are you asleep?" she asks in a low voice. She steps into the room, and closes the door softly behind her. "Father are you asleep? she asks again. Still silence. She walks towards her father's bed. Her eyes start to adjust to the darkness of the room. As she gets closer the dim light of the fireplace she can see better. Suddenly she stops, the firelight was removed any shadows on her father's bed.

And she see something horrifying, he father laying in bed, and a dagger sticking in his chest! "NO! FATHER!" she screams. She move beside the bed and reaches for her father. The dagger is deep in her father's chest! Blood flows from the wound. She breaks into tears as she tries to checks her father for life. "FATHER! FATHER!" she screams, shaking her father. "GUARDS! GUARDS! HELP! THE KING HAS BEEN ATTACKED!" she screams. The door bursts open! The two of the King's guard enter the room. Running to the bed. "My father's been attacked!" she screams again. One of the guards grabs the princess and pulls her back from the bed. The other guard checks the King. "Summon the Healer and the Queen immediately!" he yells. A few moments pass. then the Healer runs into the room, followed by the Queen, and several more guards. "PLEASE Healer, do something to help my father!" She sobs. The Healer moves to the bed, checks the King for signs of life, he shakes his head no, there is none. The Queen move beside the bed and looks at her husband. "Guards! Arrest the Princess! She is the one who murdered the King!" she screams! "WHAT?" the Princess says in shock. "The Princess is the Killer!" the Queen screams again. The guard that removed the Princess from the Kings bed, grabs her again! This time in a more forceful grip! "The evidence is clear, it is the Princess' dagger that is in the King's heart!" she proclaims. "Look for yourselves!" The head of the Kings guard looks at the handle of the dagger. Studies it for a moment longer and says, "Yes this is the Princess' dagger alright! I gave it to her myself for her 16th birthday." "ARREST the Princess! The charge is MURDER of her father the King" he says. "Take her to the Dungeon! She will be formally charged tomorrow." It's a good thing that it is fairly dark in the room, it hides the faint smile on the Queen's face!                            (To be continued!)
