They start with her legs, sliding pale silicone over her feet and up her almond-toned calves and pulling it up to hug her waist and crotch. It embraces her below, like an all-encompassing mouth, and as they slide the inserts into her, Alissa breathes sharply. They withdraw, and she rubs her thighs together with the haze of pleasure softly tugging at her mind. The internal mesh of the silicone pulls the suit tightly against her skin, and she looks down to see the dewy legs of a paler woman tensing on the table.

As the skin adhesive fuses the silicone to her via her body heat, they bring the next piece of her new identity. Pale like the legs, but warped, burned, twisted somehow by infection and infestation into a monstrous shape. Normalcy extends up to one breast and clavicle, but much of the rest is rumpled like diseased sinew. The mutation extends up into the arms- on the slender right hand, the index and middle fingers have fused into a warped, misshapen digit, while on the left, the entire hand has morphed into gruesome, razor-sharp talons.

This is what they pull over her head as Alissa obligingly lifts up her arms and gingerly wriggles them into the silicone sleeves. Her torso finds a new home, safely tucked away under smothering artifice. As they fuse the upper and lower pieces at her abdomen and smooth down the flaps of her new neck, Alissa can’t help but examine her new body with wide eyes. As her mutated hands twitch at her command, she wonders what happened to the poor woman who she was now becoming.

An inkling of the truth meets her in the next moment, as they bring the mask. Or could it be called that? An ugly maw and beady teeth flash at her, like an unholy experimentation of crocodile and insect. As they turn it around for her to see, Alissa catches a glimpse of features within the mouth. She starts, and looks closer. Faint lines of a human face reside in the slobbering, fanged mouth of the fiend, protruding out of the flesh. Bumps and dips reveal where the submerged eyes, nose, and even the open and still-screaming mouth are. Alissa winces, but they seem to take it as approval as they turn the headpiece back around and bring it closer.

The flaps on the back pull open, and Alissa sees the apparatus that will invade her old identity to create the new. She sees the breathing tubes for her nose that will hook up to the nostrils of the beast. She sees the moulded mouthpiece that will encompass her lips, her teeth, her tongue, and register the subtle pressures of her mouth and vibrations from her vocal cords to translate her muffled words to the rasp of another. An older being, one of many millennia, both virus and demon, cunning and crafty and ever-hungry for hosts to corrupt and warp to its will. Alissa would sacrifice her voice to this terror, and with this sacrifice… be born anew.

They slide contacts into her eyes, and her world submerges into twilight. The earpieces fit snugly and drown all sounds out except for her anxious heart. Then she feels her warm breath reflected back on her, the glue sliding on her skin. Her features slide into that of the face in the maw, and the tubes are gently pressed up her nose, wriggling into place. As she takes a breath full of the pungent odor of her disguise, the mouthpiece bumps at her lips and Alissa obligingly opens wide, accepting. Her mouth fills and suffocates, her teeth slide into place, her tongue is trapped. Alissa tries to moan but the latex in her mouth repels it, muffling her very voice to a whimper. The mask clutches at her face, its embrace already warming from the heat of her skin, and they close the piece around the back of her head, tightening the grasp of the hellish bogeyman around her. The beast outside was consuming the final vestiges of her being, clasping down upon her face, erasing the old Alissa underneath a sea of silicone.

Heat on her nape and shoulders as they fuse the head to the rest of the body, and then nothing. The heat suffocating her from all around begins to diffuse into a warm glow as the glue sets. Alissa is floating on her back in an endless night, breath trapped, webbed and snared tightly-

Her hearing returns first. No static, no chittering- just a small sphere of sound that melts into her ears and returns some semblance of awareness. Then Alissa blinks, and her vision returns, transmitted to her from beady eyes. Light. Bright light. Clean, clear, hateful light.

They bring a mirror and she sits up, her second skin tensing around her, her inserts shifting within. Alissa stares and does not see Alissa. Instead, a monster stares back, predatory eyes flashing. She gently rolls her shoulders, and corrupted flesh and muscle ripple. She grimaces, and as the monster snarls, Alissa faintly sees the slimy features embedded in the maw twist in horror. She bites down on her mouth piece softly, and jaws snap down- closing down on the face, leaving her face to face with the demon occupying the upper half of an unfortunate woman. She stares. There is only murder and pain and death in that face. There is no Alissa anymore- neither below, where her copper skin has been replaced by the lower body of another woman, nor above, where her features are nowhere to be seen, only a fiendish maw and the faint outline of the former human trapped within. There is no Alissa anymore- only a slobbering Deformity.

They withdraw, and cameras take their place. From a door on the other side of the room enters a young man with brown stubble on his face and a terrified look in his eyes. As the cameras turn, the Deformity slides its right hand- pale and delicate, like its former victim, with the middle and index fingers fused- down to massage its slit. Its body writhes, at once sensuous and horrifying.

“Come… here…”
