Synopsis: Venn Machines are also called Trust Machines because you have to trust your opponent in the other side of the machine to not change you into anything you'd hate to be - and vice versa. Therefore you should only use these machines with people you implicitly trust. This short story is about what can happen when trust is ultimately lost without one of the involved noticing it.

Well... this particular idea floated around in my head for months now. Possibly years. And somehow, I finally got into the mood to write it down. It's a short story, and it's a quick one, therefore it's not something which I'd consider one of my better stories. I just want to shed some more light on the fact why trust is so important when using these machines - and why betrayal can get back to you a thousand times worse.
So this story is kind of unique among my works - its not about the transformation per se, but about trust - and betrayal. Some kind of "Worst Case" scenario for using Venn Machines.
Oh, and, of course, it's another piece in my always beloved sub-category of "Hell hath no fury"! :D

I hope you enjoy! :)
