What am I (transforming into)
A transformation story

"I think it's time to start now." Isabella said with a sly grin and immediately the chatter around the large table stopped. At 5'2" and with her delicate build she didn't look that imperious, but witches had other means of conveying authority. Especially this witch, with her masterful talent for manipulating the shapes of reality. But while I was still musing about her appearance, she'd already continued her little speech.
"I welcome you to our weekly installment of 'What am I'." The witch looked around mischievously. "I'm sure you all know the rules, but just to make sure: Seven questions to guess your form. If you don't guess timely, you take it. If you guess timely, the spell will rebound to the one who questioned you. You're required to answer truthfully, so if you guess your form you have to say it." For just a moment, her soft expression became steely. "Don't forget, I know when you lie and will punish you for it."
Eight heads nodded, including my own, but I still felt a shiver running down my spine. I had no idea why Isabella put up with us and offered us this regular game of transformation. She never participated, only spoke the spells, never tried to change the rules. She didn't even ask about what form we thought of, she simply knew. Maybe she just liked watching the shenanigans of mere mortals. As my friends and me were concerned, this was only a harmless game, but none of us doubted even one second that if Isabella choose to 'punish' someone, it would be punishment indeed...
"Seeing that all has been taken care of... Aaron, you may begin." She smiled towards the big, blonde guy in shorts sitting next to me, and the chosen one put his fist into the air victoriously.
"Yes!" he said with a big grin. "First comes, first serves... and I'll question..." his eyes fixated on a freckled redhead sitting opposite to him, "...Sheri!"
The girl rolled her eyes while snickers and groans sounded around the table, and I had to grin as well. It was no secret that Aaron had a crush on Sheri, but so far, she hadn't returned his advances. Not that he'd let himself being disconcerted by that.
"Oh come on." she said slightly annoyed. "That's way too easy. Let's say... am I an object?"
"Yep." Aaron confirmed with a broad grin.
"Alright, so am I woman's clothing?"
"Absolutely. What else would you be?" He diligently ignored the rolled eyes all around.
"Then... am I worn directly on skin?"
"Nope."
"Alright..." Sheri seemed to ponder this for a moment. "Am I worn on the rump?"
"Of course not."
"Right... given your latest present to me, which I refused, of course, I'm... or rather you... are going to be a pair of boots."
"Guilty as charged." Aaron said, still sporting his smug grin, but it was already disappearing as Isabella's magic reshaped his body into something new... and less than ten seconds later, a pair of woman's boots were standing on his chair. Watching the transformations was fascinating every single time. Somehow, her magic managed to "spirit away" the clothes as well, so there was no need for undressing.
"You know that he wanted you to guess the transformation, so that it would fire back on him, right?" I asked with sigh, and Sheri simply nodded.
"Sure I did." she said with a shrug and scrutinized the boots carefully. "But what was I supposed to do? I didn't want to end up as a shoes. But I have to say that he turned out rather well..." Sheri viewed the boots for a few moments, then shrugged again and started loosening the laces on her sneakers.
"You're not gonna wear him, right?" Naomi, a black-clad goth girl asked with a sneer. "Because if you do, you're probably going to give him a kick in there."
"So?" Sheri asked with a grin and slipped the first boot on. "He's just boots for the next three rounds, so I don't care. And transformed clothes are so comfortable."
Naomi rolled her eyes. "Suit yourself." she sneered. "But then I'd like to go next."
"Hey, where's the connection between-" Sheri protested, but was silenced immediately as Isabelle raised her hand.
"Sure." the witch said with her usual grin. "Go ahead."
Immediately, several faces around the table blanched. Naomi was not only looking like a no-nonsense, tough alpha-bitch, with her night-black garments and the heavy make-up, she also had a rather unpleasant taste were transformations were concerned. But maybe today she wasn't in the mood for- nope, she totally was. One look at her vicious smirk was enough to know that soon someone at the table would end up as something nasty. At least her sneer was not directed at me. Not that I didn't sympathized with her victim.
"Oh my God, why me?" Amanda, a petite and beautiful cheerleader cried out in a mix of horror and despair. "You always choose me!"
"Shhh." her boyfriend Russel, a buff jock, tried to comfort her, but he too was staring at the goth venomously. "It's just for three rounds and maybe you'll even be able to-"
"Ha, able!" Amanda wailed. "That black bitch is probably trying to turn me into something nasty, just like this cockroach the last time. I still have nightmares about this. Tell me," she snapped, are you going to turn me into an insect again?"
"Oh, first question, that was fast." Naomi replied sardonically. "Last time you cried for like three minutes until we could start. I take that as an improvement, but no, you're not gonna be an insect."
"No insect, great. Of course there are enough other creepy-crawlies I hate. A spider then? No? Then how about worms and-"
Amanda burned through her seven questions in no time at all. Of course she could have employed a better strategy instead of just asking what came to her head, but she wasn't entirely rational where 'creepy-crawlies' were concerned. Still, better her than me...
"See?" she asked bitterly now, tears glittering behind her eyes. "Those were my seven questions. And no hit. So turn me into whatever nightmare you cooked up for me."
"Nightmare?" Naomi laughed. "Oh, maybe for you. I always thought they were fascinating creatures, these... giant... centipedes."
The cheerleader could only gasp in horror before her body started shrinking rapidly, but not rapidly enough for us to see perfectly how she changed. Fearful gasps erupted around the table as her lovely face split apart, her full red lips giving way to a pair of vicious fangs. Within moments, additional legs, dozens of them, sprouted at her side, and then the transformation was over and the biggest centipede I'd ever seen squatted under Amanda's chair.
Of course not all of us were horrified. Like usual, our bookworm Lindsey was unfazed by the horrifying transformation which had been inflicted on our friend. "Um, Naomi... I'd be careful." she said now with a frown. "Giant centipedes have good eyesight, and those mandibles, while not that poisonous to humans, can really hurt a-"
Apparently, Amanda had realized the same, because the centipede she'd become suddenly raced under the table, straight towards Naomi. Not that the girl seemed to be impressed by the assault. She simply smirked, her feet already parked safe on the chair. "Yeah, I know." she said cheerfully, while she eyed the centipede which unsuccessfully tried climbing the smooth chair leg, "These buggers have one hell of a bite. Not that I intend to get myself bitten by cute Amanda here..." she giggled and wiggled a finger at the centipede.
Amanda the centipede, finally convinced by the futility of its advances, stopped trying to get a chunk of Naomi and scuttled back to its chair, amidst a number of legs which hastily cleared way for the huge beast. There it coiled itself into a tight bun next to Russel's chair, probably intent on simply waiting for three rounds until it turned back. The boyfriend looked increasingly uneasy with such a creature in such proximity to his legs, but apparently he didn't dare raising his legs and incense his girlfriend...
"Was that really necessary?" He complained loudly, but Naomi simply shrugged.
"It's fun. Why don't you have your own fun?"
Russel stared back angrily. "And that I will!" He hurled back, looking at Isabella who returned his questioning stare with a nod and a smile. "Can you guess what you are?"
Naomi rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Really? Well, I guess you want revenge, so I'm gonna be something icky...? Yeah, obviously. No arthropods, because you know that I'd love being those. That only leaves... worms? Nope. Hm, then something slimey... ahhh, we're getting somewhere."
Naomi was positively gleaming now, and I wasn't the only one doing a facepalm. Russel was a nice dude, but not the sharpest cookie around. Trying to outsmart Naomi as Russel would be like taking up Bruce Lee as Peter Dinklage.
Unfazed, Naomi continued her onslaught. "A snail? Nope, so... a slug, probably? Oh, really? And it took me five questions this time? My, you're getting better!"
Russel tried to reply to the taunt, but the wide-eyed boy was already well into his transformation. His whole body just seemed to... slimey, getting smaller with every second. Gasps all around accompanied his demise, and within moments, a garden snail was sitting on his chair, its antennas confusedly wiggling at the air.
Lindsey sighed. "Well, at least he's stayed on his chair. I have no idea how a centipede would react to a snail, but you all know that your instincts can make you do... unfortunate things when transformed. Anyway, can I be next?"
Our witch host nodded. "With pleasure. Who's going to be your opponent?"
The bookish girl grinned, then pointed at me. "Neil of course. I still have a score to settle."
I chuckled. Lindsay was a straight player, not out to amuse herself like Naomi, but to give everyone a good time. Her transformations would be fun, but nothing despicable. Still... "Are you still mad about that potted cactus last time?"
"Maybe. So... what do you think you are?"
"Hm..." I pondered for a bit. Of course she wouldn't turn me into a plant. She'd probably expect me to expect to turn into a plant. But on the other hand... she might figure that I'd think this way and not go for the plant route, so... "Am I a plant?"
"Nope."
I closed my eyes and sighed. Well, so much for trying to outthink her. And down one question already. "Alright, am I an animal?"
"Yep."
"A mammal?"
"Yep."
Huh, that made things easier. "Do I have hooves?"
"Nope."
Damn... on the other hand, this probably meant that I had paws. With only three questions remaining, I decided to take the risk... "Am I a canine?"
"Yes."
Holy! My eyes flew open. "Bullseye!" I exclaimed with a grin. Canine, that could only mean one of two possibilities - and I still had two questions left.
"So I guess I'm either a dog..."
"Nope."
"Or a wolf!"
"Nope."
"Yeah, that was a bit easy, Lind- wait, what?" I ogled her while I already felt the changes coming over me. "But... what else is there?" I protested while the fur sprouted all over me and my changing backbone forced me on my hands... paws. Within moments, I'd become slightly smaller, my whole body taking the proportions of... a dog or wolf.
Confused, I looked at myself, clearly some kind of dog or wolf, with a long, bushy tail. I peered at Lindsay questioningly, letting loose a confused whimper out of my new snout. I was a dog or wolf, clearly, so what the-
"Hey doggie, you're not finished changing yet." The girl said with a smile, wiggling a finger schoolmasterly in front of my face. "And you were on the wrong track right from the beginning."
Huh? What was she... I whimpered as I suddenly felt two lumps growing out of my shoulders. It took only moments, and then I was seeing her thrice. I growled out of three throats, trying to come to grips with having three heads. A Cerberus. Of course she'd go for something fantastic. She wasn't the bookworm for nothing.
This was easily one of the more crazy changes I had experienced (well, not counting the times I had ended up in Naomi's clutches). I turned my left head to look at my middle, something which almost made me wobble with vertigo. Yes, crazy indeed, I could look myself in the eye... I had my left and middle head growl at each other while I let my third huff at Lindsey to admit defeat.
"Oh my, I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't figure this out." She said with a grin and used a hand to ruffle my right head's fur. "I'd have loved to try out this form. But since you weren't as witty as I'd thought, I guess you're gonna have to tell me how it felt later on."
I barked thrice in confirmation, then put myself down on my haunches to observe the next rounds. Well, having three heads really gave me an advantage there, although this was hardly necessary to observe Sheri shedding her boots which turned back into Aaron now. Right, three rounds were already played after all.
"I love carrying you on my hands. Or bodies." He said now after stretching himself and threw a toothy smile at Sheri who smiled back. "But it's nice being human again. So now I can deliver some well-served spanking. Naomi, you're up. Let's see if you get this one. So what are you?"
"Hah, you know I'm the best at this game." The goth girl sneered, but all my six ears perked up as I noticed a faint tremor in her voice. Was this insecurity? I used one of my heads to study her in detail and the other one to look at Aaron while I growled pleased at Lindsey's petting with the third. This multiple heads thingy really had some advantages! Aaron had just his usual, confident smile, but Naomi looked wary.
Of course! Aaron usually only tried to transform Sheri, and when she wasn't available, his picks seemed to be completely random. Naomi was good in figuring out what other people were thinking, but an Aaron who was not focused on Sheri might be even out of Naomi's league!
"So... am I an animal?"
"Yes."
"Of course!" The sure-footed grin was back. "An invertebrate?"
"No."
"Huh. So I'm a mammal?"
"Why wouldn't you?"
Naomi nibbled on her lips. "Do I have hooves?"
"Nope."
"So... a predator?"
"Nope?"
Now, there was even a hint of panic in her eyes. Only two questions left and still no solid clue. I let loose a small, wolfish giggle out of three throats, and I could see smirks all around. So I wasn't the only one to like that someone finally taught her a lesson.
"A bird then?"
"Why would you be a bird?"
"But..." She closed her mouth with an audible click (at least to my enhanced hearing). "Am I a... monkey?" She finally asked with a small voice. It was a shot in the dark obviously, and a miss, because moments later she started transforming.
"So tell me, what am I becoming?" Naomi demanded hotly while black and white fur started to cover her body. "What kind of nasty shape are youuu...?" Her voice faded into a bestial whine as her mouth deformed into a muzzle.
"Nasty?" Aaron chuckled. "You are hardly nasty. In fact, you're downright cute. Even... cuddly. The star in every zoo."
Naomi gaped at him as her latest remnants of humanity faded away. For a few moments, there was stunned silence. And then, someone started to laugh. It took only moments until the room was thundering, with me yipping delighted.
Oh my! Putting Naomi into this body! This was as brilliant as it was evil!
Sordidly, the giant panda she had become tried to glower back, but there was no frigging way that this cute creature over there which was sitting on its fleshy buttocks could ever look even a teeny tiny bit menacing. She had indeed become a perfect specimen of the beloved bears, big and awkward, with white and black fur and an absolutely adorable face.
She had to hate it. And indeed Naomi huffed and then ponderously turned her body around, staring at the wall morosely. It was a most fitting punishment, and I was sure her victims agreed. Speaking of her victims...
"Phew, I hope everyone has seen that, because I'm not going to do this again!" Amanda said exasperated, having transformed back from being a centipede just moments before. "I think each time I get transformed by Naomi, I gain more legs."
"At least you had legs." Sheri chuckled. "Your boyfriend isn't so lucky off." She said, pointing at the slug.
"Ewww..." Disgust flickered over Amanda's face. "Well, at least he'll be back in one round. And I see that Naomi has been dealt with." She peered at the panda and failed at hiding a large smirk. "Nice work, Aaron."
"We strive to please."
"Yeah, right." Amanda rolled her eyes. "I'd like to go next, though. And please forgive me for targeting Sheri. But she's been the only one untransformed so far."
The blonde girl simply shrugged. "Fair is fair. So... am I an animal?"
"Nope."
"Huh... an object then?"
"Correct."
"Am I... something to be worn?"
"No."
"A machine then?"
"Still no."
Sheri frowned. And I perked my six ears as well. Usually Amanda went for animals or, if she ventured into inanimate transformations, clothes. This sounded like it could be interesting.
"How about a tool?"
Amanda giggled. "You really think I'd turn you into a hammer or similar? Of course not."
"Was worth a try." Sheri smiled. "But I guess you got me here. I have no idea... an element?"
Amanda's eyes went wide. "Holy... that was hail Mary if I've ever seen one. But yes."
"Huh... an element..." The blonde girl rubbed her head. "Well, that's still one helluva of a lot of choices. Let's see... hm... am I... water?"
She seemed to have hit close to home. Amanda whirled around, looking at Isabella. "Does... that count?" She asked worried.
But the witch simply winked. "No way, not specific enough." She replied with a grin, prompting Amanda to sigh in relief.
Sheri seemed perplexed. "Huh? Not 'specific' enough? And... what the hell, why am I feeling so... stiff..."
Amanda grinned back. "You, my dear friend, should strike a pose. Because you're going to become a piece of art."
Understanding bloomed on Sheri's face. "Ah... a statue. But I still don't... understand..." Her mouth stopped moving as the rest of her body became rigid and changed its composition. Flesh vanished, to be replaced by...
I yipped surprised, and others around the table did the same. Even Naomi the Panda stopped sulking and stared at our friend in obvious interest.
Within moments, the change was finished, and Amanda went closer to the unmoving Sheri-statue. "Well..." she said with a smirk and put a hand on her cold surface. Her very cold surface. "You got the element right. But not the aggregate state. I guess it fits... you're kinda the icy maiden in real life, simply ignoring Aaron's advances."
The mentioned boy pouted, prompting a ripple of laughs (and barks, in my case) around the table.
Suddenly, another voice piped up. "Ewwww, that was totally uncool. Being a snail is no fun. And holy shit, why is there an ice statue of Sheri???"
I sighed and looked to the side with one head. Right. Russel had turned back from his self-imposed slimy adventure. Amanda apparently had the same idea. She smacked him right on the head, scowling.
"Because she's the opposite from you, you hothead!" His girlfriend scolded him. "You should know better than to challenge Naomi. What did you think would happen?"
Russel regarded her annoyed stare sullenly. "I just wanted to avenge you."
Amanda sighed. "Yeah, right... I get that. And I like it. Still... you gotta choose your battlefield more wisely." She winked. "So, do you want to try again? Sheri and Naomi are gone, and I don't think the rest is as good in outsmarting you as those two are."
"Pfff..." He looked a bit offended now. "Alright, let's see if you can outsmart me."
His girlfriend rolled her eyes. "If you really want to... sure. Am I an animal?"
"Nope."
"Huh." Amanda snorted. "Becoming a nice animal for a change would have been fun, something with not too many legs. But oh well. Then... am I an object?"
"Neither."
"And you're damn lucky I'm not. I don't like becoming stuff. So let's see... am I human?"
Her boyfriend grinned. "No!"
"What, I'm neither animal, nor object, nor human? That's bullshi- oh, wait!" Suddenly, a grin appeared on her face. "Am I a member of a fantasy race?"
"Uhhh... yes." Suddenly, Russel didn't appear so confident anymore.
"Hmm... a fantasy race. Am I an elf?"
"Dammit!" He cursed, glowering at his girlfriend. "How did you-?"
"Luck of the draw. Elf was simply the first fantasy race which popped into my head. And we recently watched Lord of the Rings, so..." She licked her lips, then went closer to her buff boyfriend. "I'm probably one hot, beautiful elf lad, right? Or rather... you are!"
Amanda giggled as the transformation reshaped her boyfriend's body. Gone was the trim jock. Instead, a lovely elf lass stood there, with long, blonde hair, pointed ears, violet eyes and a womanly figure which rivaled super models. She was dressed very skimpily, in leather moccasins, a simple loincloth and a bustier which did nothing to hide her firm tits.
Shocked, Russel's hands went up to his... her tits first, and then to her groin. "Oh my God!" She exclaimed shocked. "I got... tits. And... and..."
Her girlfriend smacked her on her beautiful head. "Come on, don't whine. It's only for three rounds that you'll be missing your best friend. Half the population lives without it for a lifetime, so it can't be so hard!"
Russel's face turned beetle-red as her friends guffawed. "But... I wanted you to become the hot elven girl!" She complained whiny while she tried to sit down without her tiny loincloth slipping out of position. "You could just have guessed wrong on purpose!"
That prompted more laughter, but suddenly my outer heads didn't seem to obey anymore. Oh right, it had been three rounds, I was transforming back... it didn't took long, and I was human again. "Damn." I complained. "I had just grown accustomed to having three heads."
"Yeah, we kinda liked you having thrice the brainpower." Lindsay joked. "Next time you'll get double that number, and maybe you'll become as smart as me."
"Careful!" I waggled a finger cautionary. "Don't forget I just transformed back! I could transform you in revenge!"
Lindsey shrugged. "If you're brave enough to face me." She smiled. "Sure."
I thought about this for a couple of seconds, then shrugged. Nope, I really didn't want to face Lindsey again. On the other hand... I looked around, my gaze inevitably stopping on Russel. The elven-beauty (s)he had become was hot. And suddenly I knew what I was gonna do.
I grinned at Aaron. "Aaron, guess what you are!"
"Huh, what?" The guy blinked. He'd stared at Russel even more mesmerized than me, making him the perfect victim for my naughty idea.
"You're up. What are you?"
"Huh? Uh... um... am I an elf?"
I laughed. "No. The same thing twice in a row? Come on, that's lame."
"Right." He flushed. "Am I a member of a fantasy race?"
"No."
"An animal?"
"No."
"Human?"
"That would be boring, right...?"
"Yeah... an object then? Again?"
I nodded.
"Really? So I'm... clothing?"
"Sure you are. But careful, only one guess left."
"But... who is supposed to wear me? Sheri is kinda... indisposed right now." He pointed at the slightly thawing statue.
I grinned. "Oh, we don't need Sheri to wear you. There's another beautiful gal at this table who could do it?"
"Huh? Who do yo- WAIT, RUSSEL?!"
The elf, who'd stared into her own cleavage intrigued blinked in confusion as her name was mentioned. "What?"
I ignored her. "Yep. One of us, you, if you can't guess what you're going to become, me if you can, is going to help poor Russel here in covering up a bit more."
"Hmm..." Aaron looked at the girl. "I'm wondering... how she would look in... a dress maybe? Is it that? A dress? Oh darn! It isn't!" He threw me a nasty look and then crumbled into himself.
Amanda was the first to react. She got up and went to Aaron's place. Then she raised up our friend's transformed body. "Kinky." She said with a chuckle. "Are you into swimsuit babes, Neil?"
"Guilty as charged." I grinned at the bright blue one-piece in her hands. "And I couldn't help but wonder how your bombshell of a boyfriend will look in one."
The girl snickered. "Yeah, I guess so. Well then..." She threw the swimsuit over to Russel who caught it out of sheer reflex. "Time to get changed then, girlfriend."
"WHAT?" Russel stared at the swimsuit as if it was a biological weapon. "But... that's Aaron! I can't wear a man! That's-" She chattered away nervously, but Amanda was adamant. And eventually, Russel caved in.
It took a few minutes, and then a swimsuit clad elven beauty joined us. I could barely keep my eyes from popping out of my head. She was... gorgeous. The swimsuit, Aaron, clung to each and every curve of Russel's female body as if it was painted on. I could even make out a slight hint of a camel toe in her-
"LINDSEY!"
The angry snarl ripped me out of my dreams rather abruptly, and I sighed. Right, it had been three rounds and Naomi, formerly mute panda bear, was back. And royally pissed.
"A panda, of all shapes!" The goth girl fumed. "Why would anyone want to transform into such a thing? I'm gonna show you some proper shapes to turn into. Guess what you are!"
Uhoh... I basically could feel the wariness all around the table. An enraged Naomi could only mean one thing, and one thing only. Someone was going to be turned into something nasty.
Lindsey didn't seem perturbed. "You're as readable as an open book." She said with a groan.
"Really?" Naomi asked smugly. "You think so?"
"Yes... I think so. Let me guess, I'm a beast?"
"Yip."
"Fantastical?"
"Sure."
"Out of literature?"
"I'm not a bookworm like you."
"Movies it's then..." Lindsey mused. "So either fantasy or science fiction. Am I out of science fiction?"
I gaped. Lindsey was relentless. Her intuition was awesome.
"Right on the money." Naomi was grinning.
But wait. Why was Naomi grinning? She was losing right now. So what the-
"Hm, Science Fiction. I guess I'll start with the most iconic movie beast then. I'm a Xenomorph...?"
Naomi laughed, but there was already a hissing undertone creeping in. "You are. Or rather... I am... Nice guessing, I asked the right one."
"What... why..." Amanda stammered, staring at Naomi slack-jawed. The goth was turning her fingers which flowed into menacing claws while her skin took on a glistering, green hue.
"Why she's pleased, you want to know?" Lindsey put in helpfully and snorted as the cheerleader nodded. "It should be obvious. The panda annoyed her to no end, and since she loves being beastly things, she just thought of something straightforward and then asked the one person here most likely to guess it - that would be me - to make sure she gets turned into it. Am I right, Naomi?"
The girl, although you could hardly call her that anymore, looked up with an intimidating grin. She'd grown to well over seven feet right now, with clawed feet and hands and spiny protrusion, even though her face's features were still mostly unchanged. But then she opened her mouth, her teeth already taking on a more predatory shape, and stretched out her tongue - already with a second jaw on it.
Amanda squeaked in distress and clung to her boyfriend, but the elf woman looked just as frightened as her.
Satisfied, the half-alien retracted her tongue again and then closed her eyes as her entire skull elongated and took away all her facial structures except for the mouth.
I shivered as I took in the final results of the transformation. The giant Xenomorph in front of us huffed, drool streaming down its bare teeth. Its tail twitched around agitated and it turned its smooth, eyeless head to focus Lindsay. Then it opened its mouth and the secondary jaws carted out, emitting a high-pitched shriek.
Gasps of panic erupted around the table as the Xenomorph threatened us, and it looked to me as if even Sheri the ice statue thawed more profoundly. Only Lindsey seemed unfazed. The bookish girl opened her mouth to say something, but our witch host beat her to it.
"Stop it." Isabella said sternly. "You know the rules, Naomi. No threatening others or there will be consequences."
Naomi snarled in exasperation, but heeded the warning. Within moments, the Xenomorph's threatening stance was gone and its inner jaws back in its mouth. Only the flowing drool remained, but that seemed to be a feature of the form.
It simply strolled around the table, apparently taking no notice of the nervous glances which followed its every movement and then positioned itself behind Naomi's chair, waiting.
I exhaled softly. Staring a nine foot tall Xenomorph in the face was incredibly disconcerting, but it was only for three rounds - and at least she wasn't snarling at me, so there was that...
"Wow, do you really have to overboard everytime?" Sheri asked. Right, she had been due to turn back. "Seriously Naomi, you could play nice just for once."
Naomi simply shrugged and "smiled" a toothy grin back.
"Fine, suit yourself." She snorted, then looked at the still shivering Amanda. "Hey, why are you shivering?" She asked with a grin. "You turned me into an ice statue, not the other way around. So it should be me who's cold, not you." The girl chuckled. "But I have to concede to you that it felt nice. Gotta have to return the favor. So... what are you, Amanda?"
"Huh? Are you going to turn me into a statue, too?"
Sheri rolled her eyes. "Of course not. That would be too easy. One question down, six to go."
"Um... okay... so... am I an object?"
"No."
"Am I an animal?"
"Yes."
"A... mammal?"
"Yes."
You could perfectly see how this answer took a load off Amanda's mind. The others noticed it, too, because there were giggles all around the table. Only the big Xenomorph seemed to be disappointed.
"What?" Amanda asked a bit defensively. "I'm just glad I'm not getting turned into a bug again..."
Sheri snorted. "You know me. You deserve a nice form for a change!"
Amanda's face lit up at that. "A nice one? Then... do I have hooves?" She asked a bit giddily.
Her friend flashed her a smile. "You do."
"Oh my, and am I... domesticated?"
"You're a free spirit, so I figured that wouldn't fit..."
Now the pretty cheerleader was jumping up and down enthusiastically. "Oh, I know! I'm a deer, right? Or rather... you are!"
She grinned at Sheri victoriously, but the girl simply smiled back lazily. And chuckled as Amanda fell over on her hands which rapidly formed into spindly legs, with cloven hooves replacing her fingers. Red fur sprouted all over her body, and the transforming girl looked at her body confusedly.
"But..." She protested while the changes swept over her. "I'm becoming a deer! But I guessed it correctly." She looked at Isabella accusingly. "What's going on he-ooahhh!" Her question was cut off as the changes reached her head and her mouth pushed out into one definitely cervine muzzle. At this point, I was just as confused as Amanda. She quite obviously was a deer, so why was she transforming and not Sheri? She had gotten it right with her final question after all.
The witch laughed quietly. "Not specific enough." She said with a smirk and looked at Sheri who was grinning broadly now.
"Well, yeah." The former ice statue explained cheerfully. "I told you that I'd turn you into something nice, but there needs to be some kind of tease after all. So you might have gotten your species right... but not your gender."
Russel, still an elf at this point, gasped loudly as Sheri's statement registered. And as if on cue, Amanda's whole body seemed to buff out, gaining more size and muzzles - and a pair of antlers which sprouted out of her, or rather his head.
And then the transformation finished and all of us stared at the majestic, 16-point stag which Amanda had been transformed into. He was absolutely magnificent, an imposing animal.
The stag huffed a bit and turned his head to inspect his body. Then he looked at the giggling Sheri and bellowed, but it wasn't a challenge. It more or less sounded like an amused admission of defeat.
Sheri looked like she wanted to say something, but Russel's curses interrupted her. Right, he'd been due to transform back. Hoots and cajoles chased the changing elf as she darted into the adjoining room, to remove her swimming suit before she'd end up as her normal male shape while wearing the thing.
A couple of minutes later, Russel, in his normal body again, rejoined us, throwing the empty bathing suit over Aaron's chair. "Right..." he said with a chuckle. "At least I haven't been the only one who'd been gender-changed tonight." He said, grinning at his girlfriend, right now stag-friend. Then he furrowed his brows. "I'm wondering..." He mused and scrutinized the large stag.
After a few seconds of thought he nodded and turned towards Sheri. "Sheri. What do you think you are?"
"Huh?" The blonde blinked at being addressed suddenly. "Uh... I don't know? An animal?"
"Nope." Russel grinned. Sheri wasn't any more successful with her further questions. She quickly managed to narrow it down to clothing, but then burned through her remaining questions in a flash. The girl just managed another accusing stare, then she shrunk down into a bunch of leathery...
"Riding gear?" I asked amused and watched Amanda the stag sniffing the saddle and halter which his friend had become. "That's a new one, I think."
"Yep. I thought that maybe I'd just try to ride my girlfriend for a change, instead of the other way around... what do you say, big boy?"
Amanda snorted and rolled his eyes, but then nodded and stepped a bit closer. Grinning, Russel started by heaving the saddle on the stag's back, strapped it down and then put the halter on. The strap in his mouth seemed to bother him a bit, but he patiently let Russel work on him. I guess Amanda was curious on how strong he was...
"Alright, all done." His boyfriend said and scratched him behind his ears. "It's time to mount you then..."
"You know, it's kinda unfair that you get to mount your girlfriend and Sheri at the same time." Aaron, freshly turned back, murmured miffed. Apparently he was not content with the shape his crush had been transformed into.
Russel laughed. "Neither of them has boobs right now, so it's fine. And speaking of boobs, you just spent two rounds holding mine in check, so you shouldn't complain." He grabbed the reigns and then, with a powerful sweep, he jumped into the saddle of his girlfriend.
Lindsey couldn't help but giggle at the sight, and I could fully understand it. He was looking like the elf king from the Hobbit movies, perched atop a magnificent stag.
"So how's it looking, are you strong enough to carry me my love?" He asked grinning and patted Amanda's flag. The large deer bellowed once and raised his head proudly, then moved forward. Soon the two of them were galloping in circles around our table.
Aaron watched the spectacle with a shake of his head. "Don't get overboard..." He flashed his eyes at me. Huh? What did I have to-
"What are you, Neil?"
I closed my mouth. Right. Well, in for a penny... "I don't know, am I an object?"
"Nope."
"Then an animal?"
"Better."
"A real one?"
"No."
Damn. I chastised myself inwardly. That question had been foolish. I should have asked if I was something mythical directly...
"Okay, so... do I have fur?"
"No."
Okay, so I was not going to become some Pegasus for him to ride, too. But unfortunately, a lot of mythical beasts didn't have fur... and I was running out of questions.
"Am I a dragon then?"
Suddenly there was a victorious glint in his eyes. "No!"
"A giant spider?" I shivered. Please no-
"Nope."
Thank God. But I only had one question left. Dammit. "Phoenix?"
I immediately noticed that my guess had been wrong, for I felt my skin crawling and reshaping. Green scales grew all over my body and massive claws erupted from my feet. I shuffled my legs in confusion, then looked at Aaron questioningly as a long, scaly tail erupted from my backside and my face ballooned out into a teeth sprouting maw.
If I didn't know better I'd say that I was turning into a dragon, but I had thought the same before when I'd become a cerberus instead of a wolf, so what...
"Oh, you're such a dummy." Lindsey scolded me with a grin. "That's a nice change, I have to give this to Aaron. Just look at your arms!"
Huh, my arms?" I turned my neck which had become very flexible by now. In fact, all my body seemed to resemble a dragon more and more. And then something happened I hadn't been expecting. My arms stretched out, becoming stiffer and turning into... wings?
"You're not becoming a dragon... but a Wyvern." Lindsey explained while I continued growing. "Dragons have four legs and two wings. Wyvern only have two legs."
Right... That little rascal, had outsmarted me. I chuckled out of my bestial throat, the motion spewing forth a couple of flames. At the same moment, my change finished and I found myself inhabiting the body of a massive reptilian beast the size of an elephant.
The additional size actually felt nice... I looked down at my friends, showing Russel and Amanda a toothy grin. My, looked the stag twitchy suddenly! And I could actually smell sweat running down his boyfriend's neck.
I put myself down on my haunches, folding my massive wings around me. Well, I guess that's the reason why Aaron chose this form. To spook the poor stag. When Isabella turned you into an animal, you usually got a whole set of instincts which came with the body. Therefore it wasn't surprising that this meaty looking stag there was a bit unnerved by facing a predator as big as me.
"My, finally an interesting form." Naomi quipped, having returned from Xenomorph-hood. "And from Aaron no less. Wonders never cease... nice fangs, Neil."
I simply flashed back a toothy grin back at the puny human.
"Last round coming up now." Isabella interrupted us calmly, and we nodded. So the sorceress was tired of the mortal's shenanigans and today's game of change was coming to an end.
"Too bad." Naomi said wistfully, then looked at Lindsey. "Hm... you're the only one who hasn't been transformed even once yet. Everyone else got two changes. Don't you think that's kinda unfair?"
The bookish girl simply smiled back sweetly. "You had your chances. You blew it. Think third time is the charm?"
Naomi laughed. "We shall see. So... what do you think you are?"
"Hmm... am I a human?"
"Hey, take this serious!" Naomi said with a mock-scowl. "You know the rules. No deliberate wrong guessing! Of course you're not something as boring as a human."
Lindsey shrugged. "It's my right to narrow it down first. So, how about an object?"
The other girl rolled her eyes. "No."
Well, it was obvious to everybody that Lindsey wasn't giving everything. The girl probably was curious what Naomi had in store for her. But Isabella didn't seem to care. Maybe she too didn't want to left anyone out...?
"...and no for the seventh time, so there you go." Naomi said with a grin now while Lindsey was already changing.
"Huh, scales?" She asked with a raised eyebrow as her skin changed to something similar to my current hide. But... "Hey, my hands!" Within moments, her arms had receded into her body, just as her legs had merged together.
"A snake?" Russel asked as Lindsey's body quickly took on a serpentine shape. "But isn't she a bit too... big for that?"
"Hush, she isn't finished changing yet." Naomi huffed, and indeed, there were still changes occurring to her. Gasps sounded as her body seemed to branch out multiple times, forming more and more reptile snouts.
Within moments, Lindsey had been replaced by a writhing, seven-headed Hydra, rivaling even me in size.
"I kinda remembered that you said you were interested in Neil's Cerberus shape, so I thought I'd humor you - just with more heads." Naomi said almost conversationally to the massive beast in front of her. Two of Lindsey's heads swiveled around and nodded at her, while the others were busy doing... things. Like hissing at each other or scaring Amanda, now back in human form and caught between trying to get the riding gear off her body and running away from the hydra.
I had to giggle at the sight, my current Wyvern-body translating the sentiment into a rumbling growl.
Isabella looked at the scene with obvious amusement for a couple of minutes, then she clapped her hands and immediately all of us who were still in a transformed state were back in our own bodies. "Alright, that was a fun round. I'm already looking forward to our next little game."
Everyone, me included, nodded. Even if - or rather because - the transformations were sometimes not what we desired, the thrill of turning into different shapes was exhilarating. All of us were addicted to it - and as long as Isabella would offer her transformative game, we would be willing participants.
