All seven pairs of eyes intent, the fearsome Hydra peered into the sun where a winged shape was flying closer. As the apparition whizzed by, she snapped for it, but her massive jaws only hit empty air, for it was flying too high.
Mockingly, it circled her, the Hydra hissing her disappointment at the taunter. But then the shape landed on the opposite dune and the Hydra's many mouths filled with saliva, for now the creature was on the bottom where she could devour it. Actually, it was not one, but two beings, a white, winged horse and on its back a heavily muscled human, looking fearlessly at her.
The Hydra snorted in derision. The horse didn't even reach up to her breast, the puny human on its back was even smaller. Despite his broad shoulders, one of her heads would have no problems in swallowing him whole. What business had such miserable beings with her?
Nonetheless the horse's rider pulled his sword, pointing the ridiculous toothpick at her.
"Hydra!" he cried now. "You have terrorized the innocent long enough. I will cleanse the earth from your hideous manifestation!"
The Hydra understood his words well, and her answer was a loud roar from all seven of her heads. Just come and try!
Then the rider pushed his horse forward and soon the two of them were thundering up her dune. In anticipation, the Hydra opened all of her mouths, hissing defiance at the charging pair. As they came into her reach, she let all her heads descend upon them, but at the last moment, the horse pranced sideways, her many jaws missing their targets. But the rider didn't, and the Hydra felt a sharp sting as his sword cut through her flesh and one of her seven pairs of eyes disappeared forever.
Enraged, the Hydra stared at the severed head lying to her feet, painting the sand red. She tried to ignore the sharp pain in her injured neck and instead focused upon her assailants who were already coming back. Again, the rider's blade flashed, and again one of the Hydra's visions was suddenly blotted away.
Furious, the beast turned her five surviving head towards the horse and the rider who had begun their third charge. She knew that she shouldn't react instinctively, but in this moment, she didn't care. Over there were her tormentors and she would make them pay for the humiliation they had inflicted upon her.
A third time, the rider raised his sword and his mount dodged in the last second, only that this time, the Hydra had expected this.
She had divided her surviving heads into two halves, each half covering one of the possible evasion routes. So when the winged horse dodged, it brought his rider right into the path of two of her waiting heads.
Sensing her chance, her two heads flipped forwards, one taking the rider's arm off before he could harm a third head, the sword spiraling away harmlessly. His eyes widened in surprise as razor-sharp teeth sliced through his upper arm, but then the second head reached him, this one's jaws closing themselves mercilessly over his whole body.
The Hydra clamped her jaws shut and felt her teeth penetrating deep into her prey's flesh, but his mount was still in a full gallop and with a ripping sound, it broke away, missing half of its rider.
In two of her mouths, the Hydra suddenly felt a warm and tender presence, and a salty liquid which soaked her tongues... it tasted good , and by instinct, she simply swallowed. Only to realize her mistake one second later.
Shocked, her attacker's mount neighed, craning her neck and looking for the source of the fluid which was suddenly saturating its mane with crimson. It gaped as it took in the condition of its rider, for he was missing. Or rather - half of him was missing. His legs and groin was still sitting in the saddle, but everything above the naval was simply gone.
Panicked, the horse jumped around, trying to shake the rider's lower body off and glumly, the Hydra followed the horse's fruitless efforts while she felt her meal, the meal she hadn't wanted to take, the meal she shouldn't have taken, traveling down two of her throats.
Alexa isn't going to like this... she concluded, then looked at leftovers of the warrior who'd wanted to kill her again. And Marcee even less.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, Michaela?" a booming voice inquired now, and an angry face shoved herself over the sandbox she was currently standing in.
Trying to look suitably ashamed, Michaela lowered three of her heads while she used the other two to lick her wounds.
"Why are you eating Marcee?" she asked. "As far as I remember, Hercules' fight against the Hydra didn't end with the Hydra eating Hercules, or am I wrong?"
Michaela shook her heads. Shit... she thought. Letting this body's instincts doing the driving seemed a good idea to make the whole video more authentically. But I guess I should have expected that my instincts would press me to eat the one who's chopping off my heads...
Inwardly, she grinned at the thought, but then sobered up. This had been Alexa's idea from the beginning. It had come into being when an outraged Marcee had told them about her uncle's miniature role-play test for which she'd volunteered to play the evil Demon Queen. Only to be beheaded in the end by his elven-turned friend.
Alexa, who'd recently started Vennplaying with Marcee, Michaela and Kiersten, had been intrigued by the idea. Doing live-action role-play while being transformed into three inch tall people? Nerd stuff. But recreating historical and mythological stories the same way, filming those and then putting them on youtube? Awesome!
So she'd quite unilaterally decided to try it out. The first mythological story which had popped up in her head had been Hercules vs. the Hydra and after quite some persuasion, she had been able to persuade her sceptical friends. Especially Marcee.
Alexa of course had wanted to play camerawoman and director. That had left Marcee, Michaela and Kiersten for the other roles. Marcee had immediately raised a claim for the role of Hercules. This time, as she'd put it, she wanted to be the one to do the slashing instead of the other way around. Kiersten, as a certified horse-fanatic, had finally seen the possibility to become a real riding horse and had decided to become Hercules' mount Pegasus. Never mind Pegasus had never been Hercules mount in the historical legend. In the Disney movie, it had been, therefore she wanted to become Pegasus. End of discussion.
That had left Michaela to play the part of the Hydra (and do the dying), and although she hadn't looked forward to the experience to be slain by a three inch tall muscleman with a glorified toothpick, she had accepted.
After all, she was arguably the best suited for the role. Everybody had his own share of Venn-related kinks for the bedroom, and in Michaela's and her boyfriend's case, it was sex while having multiple heads. It was utterly fascinating being able to kiss and to talk at the same time, and to experience two orgasms at the same time was mind(s)boggling as well.
Besides, she had been interested. As a 'human', she'd never had more than three heads. Every number larger than that was impractical to say the least. How big had your shoulders to be to provide enough space for four necks? So she'd taken the opportunity to try out seven heads.
And it had been interesting. Until she'd botched it.
Alexa sighed now, looking at the roughly small dog-sized Hydra in her little sister's sandbox.
"I don't think that Marcee will be happy about this." she said, voicing Michaela's earlier thoughts. "She absolutely didn't want to die again and now you've even eaten her..." Alexa shook her head. Then her gaze went to Kiersten, who was busy rolling her dove-sized Pegasus body in the sand, determined to get Marcee's still blood-leaking lower body off her saddle.
"Oh, don't be a sissie." she huffed and gingerly reached for the tiny saddle. A few seconds later, she'd freed Kiersten from her dead load and the Pegasus whinnied a thanks. Then Kiersten gave Michaela a dark stare, flapped her wings and departed for the garden table while Alexa deposited Marcee's remains and Michaela's two slain heads in the large plastic bag. The plastic bag, she'd originally brought with her to store the entirety of the Hydra's disassembled parts into - after she had been suitably dealt with by Hercules.
Alexa sighed again. "Well... we didn't manage to film the Hydra's demise at Hercules' hands, but rather the opposite, but I think this may be a cool video to put on youtube as well... so... no harm done."
The girl laughed as she saw Michaela raising her heads in sudden hope.
"That doesn't count for you." she chided. "You still have to explain to Marcee why you ate her after she turns back. I think she may be just a trifle irritated with you, don't you think so?"
I just hope... Michaela thought glumly, that she doesn't want to retaliate in kind...
