I woke up in the middle of the night today on the hunt for some method of returning to sleep. I’m still choosing what I’ll have to look like from now on, since the curse and all. Er, maybe the ‘blurse.’ Guess I’ll decide that verdict someday.
With the sound of splats akin to pouring water onto a wooden floor from altitude, I stumbled and rolled onto the bathroom tiling after a sticky journey through the carpet. My standard spheroid shape started to pillar upwards as I constructed a rough draft of a human figure in my mind. Still being made of slime I had a difficult experience turning on the sink, so I just made my arms into human ones. Korean human ones at that.
Now with improved grip I got the water flowing and plugged the drain, using some weird sequence of elastic, semi-liquid movements to pull back into neutral form in the bowl of the sink after seeing to it that the bowl had been nearly filled. I writhed and contorted in this lukewarm bath, inverting amidst what were probably pretty gross motions. But hey, an anomaly like me has to bathe somehow.
I grappled myself out with the aid of tiny but human arms, and with those arms I first drained the sink and then retracted them into myself. Next I expanded and took on a more pear-like shape, burning some calories as my fluid, filled, indigo slime body hardened and hollowed into a porcelain white reservoir. At the top a plastic ring covered my apex point, if that’s even the right term for it, and from that ring blossomed a pump nozzle. On this new form I wrote my name in an old-timey arc style, the aged-looking letters in lavender purple and pressing out from the ceramic bottle.
Sure I was then just a common bathroom component, even though I want filled. Because the transformation ate up some metabolic fuel I cycled rapidly between this form and my neutral one until I was too tired to continue. I fell asleep soon enough in my disguise.
