My ever-dynamic body melted its way off the ledge I’d been sitting on. Because of the high ceiling in my living room, which bordered the staircase, I was able to not only flow down the separating barrier, I could travel a relatively long distance as well... something around 14 feet down until I landed on a stair. The sliding sensation combined with the bumpy terrain of the painted wall mixed to create an excited, stimulated mood within me, leaving me only wanting more.

I slid further on the high-pile carpet lining the staircase until after I assume 6 stairs I encountered tile flooring. Slipping along the grout I pretended I was in a corn maze, blazing the trail until I find the exit: the wooden surface of the front door.

Soon I contacted that front door. When I did I figured I’d complete the second half of the lap down and up the stairs. Turning around I began to stretch out as my body covered itself no longer in indigo slime but army green scales. I widened in the middle of my developing body, and at the very front a flat green head with a tan jaw developed. Its eyes were on the sides, and together with the aid of a forked tongue, could pick up heat vision.

Guided only by contouring I scaled the stairs and found my way back to the ledge where I condensed back into a gel. I ascended it and sat atop, an eye peering from my sludgy shroud to view over my couches, television, ottoman, and surround sound speakers. But the sight was short lived, for I started falling yet again, so my eye dissipated into goo. I began pondering... is this my third, fourth, fifth, sixth trip down the wall?

Right before I touched the carpet, I simply decided that lap count didn’t matter.
