Elise Stone slept in her newly-stolen Lamborghini Veneno with her left latex clad leg hanging over and out of the corresponding car’s door with the window wound down. She had been driving non-stop, with her sister Victoria in the passenger’s seat, for the last twenty hours and had needed a break; pulling into a scenic tourist car park on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean, Elise had made herself comfortable before sending Victoria to find some food before they hit the road again.

The sisters had somewhere they needed to be and something they needed to do; a job that brought a smile to Elise’s face whenever she thought about it. That same job had been her last thought as she had drifted to sleep with the rising of the sun on the horizon.

Elise hadn’t been asleep too long before her sister Victoria had woken her with the slamming of the car door, the thick thudding sound of heavy hollow cardboard and the constant rustling of an overly large newspaper.

“Christ girl, could you be any louder?” moaned Elise as she opened her eyes and shielded her face from the risen sun.

“You said get food, I got food; it’ll go cold if you wait, so eat.” replied Victoria in a blunt tone with her mouth full of food.

“Is that pizza?”

“Mhmm”

“What’s the ti-, where the hell serves pizza at 9:30AM?” asked Elise as she pulled her leg in from outside of the car.

“The place I bought it from. Also, page six…”

Elise took the newspaper and a slice from of pizza from Victoria’s lap and fumbled one handed with the pages until she found what her sister had wanted her to read. Elise skimmed the broadsheet’s lengthy paragraphs until the article had run its course and then threw her head back and laughed.

The article had told the story of a banker’s wife named Emily Carter, who had been stripped, bound, gagged and left in a helplessly degrading and embarrassing position before being robbed of her extravagant jewellery and expensive clothing. Police had responded to an anonymous phone call detailing Emily Carter’s plight a day or so later; a phone call which was now regarded as being suspicious…
This crime and a string of others baring striking similarities involving rich young women being robbed and left bound and gagged in questionable positions, had led the authorities to assume that they were all linked, though they were no closer in identifying the perpetrators.

“Ha! Makes you feel proud doesn’t it?” laughed Elise with a mouthful of pizza. “We’re like Robin Hood; taking from the rich and giving to the poor.”

“I don’t think we are; we haven’t given anything we’ve stolen to anyone who is poor.”

“We’re poor. So…”

“Hmm, tenuous but I’ll let you have it. So, Elizabeth Andrews huh?”

“Elizabeth Andrews” said Elisa after swallowing her mouthful of pizza “A rich recluse living in the big city, not married, no kids and seemingly no friends. No one knows anything about her, her paper trails are all neat and tidy, nothing underhand as far as anyone can see, no tax evasion, fraud or anything like that. Works as a drone for an office company so she is only a number, no one in the world would notice a short leave of absence.”

“Sounds too good to be true…”

“Probably is. I can still remember Colorado, where Brittany Jones got the jump on you.”

“Shut up.”

“Shame we couldn’t have convinced her to join us, she tied a good knot wouldn’t you agree? How long were you tied to her bed for again? Because, y’know, you couldn’t tell me at the time…”

“Shut. Up.”

Elise fell quite but kept a smirk on her face as she reached for another slice and nonchalantly continued to fake interest in the broadsheet on her lap…

“…you did look good though.” Taunted Elise…

Victoria snapped her head to her sister and scowled furiously at her.

“What? I’m jussayin’…”

Victoria eventually turned away from Elise, threw her now empty pizza box out of the car window and fastened her seatbelt. “Come on, let’s get this over with.”

Elise nodded, threw her pizza crust out of the window with the same carefree attitude as her sister, fastened her own belt and started the car.

It wouldn’t take them long to reach the next city or Elizabeth Andrews…
