The music was incessantly thumping against the thin walls of Bellington Hall, room 327. Inside, a swarm of freshmen crowded the small dorm space, red solo cups in hand, voices rising above the already ear-splitting beat.
Daniel, the Residential Assistant for the third floor with a perfect GPA and immaculate disciplinary record, was angrily stalking his way towards the source of all the noise complaints that had been flooding in. Daniel took his RA position seriously and he was already mentally preparing his list of infractions to list off once he got to the room. His encyclopedic knowledge of the Hall’s Code Book is probably how he'd earned the nickname "Robot RA" among the residents, but he didn’t care - rules existed for a reason.
When he reached the room, he pounded on the door three times, each knock precise and authoritative. When no one answered, Daniel used his master key to unlock the door, swinging it open to reveal the chaos within. At least twenty students packed the tiny space, the furniture pushed against walls to create a makeshift dance floor. Two guys were performing keg stands in the corner while someone had set up a strobe light that cast disorienting flashes across the room.
"ATTENTION!" Daniel shouted, his voice barely carrying over the music. "This gathering is in violation of at least seven different university policies!"
A few students nearest the door noticed him and rolled their eyes, but most continued dancing, oblivious to the interruption.
Daniel marched to the speaker system and yanked the power cord from the wall. The music died abruptly, leaving a moment of confused silence before groans and protests filled the room.
"This party is over," Daniel announced, standing rigidly with a notepad in hand. "I'm documenting violations of quiet hours, exceeding occupancy limits, unauthorized furniture rearrangement, underage alcohol consumption, public intoxication-"
"Jesus Christ, dude, take a chill pill," said a tall guy wearing a backwards baseball cap. Daniel recognized him as Tyler Johnson, a freshman with already three noise complaints on his record. "It's Friday night. College is supposed to be fun, remember? Or did you skip that orientation?"
The room erupted in laughter, and Daniel felt his face flush. "This isn't about fun, Mr. Johnson. This is about respecting community standards and university policy. Everyone who doesn't live in this room needs to return to their own residences immediately."
No one moved. Someone in the back of the room even reconnected the speakers, and music began to thump again.
Tyler stepped forward, a red solo cup in his hand. "Look, Matthews, we get it. You've got a job to do. But seriously, man, when's the last time you actually enjoyed yourself? Have you ever even had a drink?"
"That's irrelevant," Daniel replied stiffly. "And it's 'Mr. Matthews' to you."
Tyler laughed, shaking his head. "Tell you what, Robot RA. Have one sip – just one tiny sip of this drink, and I'll personally clear everyone out. Deal?"
Daniel glared at the cup suspiciously. "I'm not falling for that. It's probably straight vodka."
"It's just a fruit punch with a splash of something," Tyler insisted, extending the cup. "One sip. Then we go quietly. Or you can spend the next hour taking names and filing reports while we make this as difficult as possible."
Students around the room watched the standoff with amused interest. Daniel glanced at his watch. It was already 11:30 PM, and he had an early study group tomorrow. The thought of spending hours processing this mess was exhausting.
"Fine," Daniel said tersely. "One sip. Then everyone leaves. Immediately."
Tyler grinned victoriously and handed over the cup. "To loosening up," he said with a wink.
Daniel sniffed the bright red liquid skeptically. It smelled sweet, like cherries and pineapple. Hardly threatening. He raised the cup to his lips and took the smallest sip possible, just enough to wet his tongue.
To his surprise the flavor was delightful, tropical and sweet with barely a hint of alcohol. Daniel couldn't remember ever tasting anything so good. He couldn't help but take another small sip before trying to hand the cup back, savoring the way the flavors evolved on his tongue.
"There. Now clear the room," Daniel demanded, though his cracking voice lacked some of its earlier authority.
Tyler raised an eyebrow. "You sure you don't want more? You look like you actually enjoyed that."
"It was... adequately prepared," Daniel admitted, feeling an unusual warmth spreading through his chest. "But a deal's a deal."
Behind Daniel's back, a few students were nudging each other and pointing at Daniel’s hair, now brushing his collar. One girl covered her mouth to suppress a giggle. Tyler made a subtle gesture for them to keep quiet, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Maybe just finish that cup," Tyler suggested casually. "As a courtesy. I mixed it specially."
Daniel frowned, about to refuse, but the lingering taste of that incredible drink made his mouth water. One cup couldn't hurt, right? It barely had any alcohol from what he could taste. And something about it made him feel... lighter somehow. More relaxed than he'd felt in months.
"I suppose that would be the polite thing to do," Daniel conceded, raising the cup again.
As Daniel took another long sip, completely focused on the extraordinary flavor, several students pulled out their phones and began recording discreetly. His short brown hair had already cascaded down his back, but with each passing moment, the transformation became more obvious to everyone except Daniel himself, who remained utterly absorbed in the delicious drink.
"This is incredible," Daniel murmured, staring into the cup. "What's in this exactly?"
Tyler grinned. "Family secret. Glad you like it."
A girl in the corner whispered to her friend, "Oh my god, his eyelashes!" Indeed, Daniel's formerly short, sparse eyelashes were now growing longer and thicker as if they had mascara, and his eyebrows were thinning and arching before their eyes.
Daniel, oblivious to these changes, took another generous sip, closing his eyes to better appreciate the flavor. "I've never tasted anything like this. It's like... summer in a cup."
While he was distracted with his eyes closed, his shoulders narrowed visibly, his waist began to cinch inward, and his hips widened slightly beneath his khaki pants. Someone snickered, quickly silenced by Tyler's warning glance.
When Daniel opened his eyes again, he didn’t just seem physically different, but his demeanor had shifted as well. His rigid posture had relaxed slightly, and there was a new softness in his expression. Still, he appeared completely unaware of the changes happening to his own body, even as his voice raised half an octave when he spoke again.
"I should really get back to my rounds," he said, though he made no move to leave. Instead, he found himself taking yet another sip of the magical concoction.
"Finish your drink first," Tyler encouraged. "No rush."
As Daniel continued drinking, he began to sway slightly to the rhythm, his increasingly curvaceous body moving with a natural grace that Daniel had never possessed.
A freshman girl nearby couldn't contain herself anymore. "Is nobody going to tell him?" she whispered loudly.
"Tell me what?" Daniel asked, genuinely confused by the growing number of amused glances and poorly concealed smiles directed his way.
Tyler smoothly intervened. "Nothing important. Hey, you're almost done with that drink. Want another?"
Daniel looked down at the nearly empty cup in his hand. He knew he should say no. He had responsibilities, rules to enforce. But the warm, pleasant feeling spreading through his body made those concerns seem increasingly distant and unimportant. What harm could one more drink do?
"Yes, please," he heard himself say, surprising even himself with his eagerness.
Tyler disappeared briefly into the crowd, returning moments later with a fresh cup filled with the same vibrant red liquid. "Special batch," he said with a wink, handing it over.
Daniel flashed a new, dazzling smile that lit up his now perfectly feminine features and accepted the cup gratefully. As he raised it to his lips and began to drink deeply, the transformation hit his clothes.
With the first gulp, Daniel's red polo shirt began to change, the fabric stretching and shifting around his torso. The collar widened and dipped lower, exposing his collarbone, slender shoulders, and a hint of cleavage.
Meanwhile the music seemed to be affecting Daniel differently now. Without conscious thought, his hips began to sway more pronouncedly to the beat, his movements becoming increasingly feminine and fluid. Something in the drink was changing the way he felt the beat and giving him an urge to move along with it.
"This music is amazing," Daniel remarked, voice now fully light and feminine. "Has it always been this good?"
Tyler laughed. "You're just finally hearing it properly."
Daniel nodded as if this made perfect sense and took another long drink. As the liquid flowed down his throat, his pants disappeared under the lengthening hem of his shirt. By the time he lowered the cup again, his outfit had become a tight form fitting red dress with a plunging neckline and a hem that barely reached mid-thigh. His practical loafers morphed into strappy red heels that added three inches to his height.
"Oh my god, this beat is fire!" Dani exclaimed, throwing her hands up and beginning to dance with an enthusiasm and skill that Daniel had never possessed. Her body moved instinctively to the rhythm, hips swaying, hair tossing, every movement dripping with confidence and sensuality.
The empty cup slipped from his manicured fingers, falling forgotten to the floor as the last of Daniel Matthews disappeared. In his place stood Dani, a vivacious party girl who couldn't understand why she was standing still when there was such great music playing.
Tyler watched with satisfaction as Dani fully emerged, any trace of the uptight RA completely erased. "Having fun?" he asked, raising his voice to be heard over the music.
"Are you kidding? I'm having the best time!" Dani squealed, grabbing his hands and pulling him into her dance. "This party is amazing! I can't believe I almost missed it!"
"Almost missed it?" Tyler asked with an amused smile. "Weren't you doing something else tonight?"
Dani's perfectly shaped brows furrowed momentarily in confusion, then relaxed as new memories settled comfortably into place. "No way! I've been looking forward to this party all week. It's like, the whole reason I came to this school, you know? To have fun and make memories!"
A group of girls who had been watching the transformation with fascination now approached, drawn to Dani's infectious energy. "I love your dress!" one of them gushed. "Where did you get it?"
"This old thing?" Dani laughed, twirling to show off the tight red dress that clung to her curves. "I've had it forever! It's my lucky party dress."
The girls exchanged knowing glances but played along. "Well, it looks amazing on you. I'm Jessica, by the way."
"Dani," she replied with a bright smile, as if she'd been introducing herself that way her entire life. "Let's take some shots!"
