Jenna had been claustrophobic for as long as she could remember. She had known ever since her older brother had trapped her in her closet when she was nine. It had gotten worse when she had been bullied and locked in a locker for an hour in middle school. Anything enclosed or restricting triggered her, which is why when she woke up wearing a straitjacket, her first instinct was panic.

For a couple of minutes she gave into sheer panic. Pulling against the jacket, throwing her body around, anything she could do to try to regain movement but it quickly proved futile. Straitjackets were made to contain people that would react like that, and after throwing herself around she settled down and tried to figure out what had happened to her. First she looked down at the straitjacket constraining her body. It wasn’t canvas like the typical asylum straitjacket, this one was made out of black leather and a smaller model, given how tightly it clung to her slim body and breasts. In addition to the straitjacket, leather cuffs were buckled around her ankles just above her boots and connected together by a chain about a foot long.

Second, she was still clothed. Her sweater had been stripped off her body as she no longer felt it between the straitjacket and her body, but she was still wearing her tank top, leggings, and white Doc Martens. She didn’t feel violated or probed, but the crotch strap of the straitjacket rubbed between her legs in a very persistent and annoying way.

Third, where the hell was she? She was currently seated in a wheelchair, a strap around her waist keeping her pinned down to it and with no arms she had no way of standing up on her own. Looking around, it seemed almost like an office of some kind. The room was sparingly furnished with a bookshelf, desk, and a doctor’s couch along one wall with multiple doors out of the room but there was nothing else to betray where she may have gone. What had she been doing prior to this?

Her memory was fuzzy, but she suddenly remembered she had been in her therapist’s office. She’d been attending sessions through the university for a couple of months now and she had found it had been helping. They had been focusing on her fears and triggers when Dr. Kim stood up and walked behind her. Jenna was still looking across at her therapist’s couch where her handwritten notes were sitting on the table and hadn’t been paying attention until a damp cloth had clamped down over her face. She’d immediately become drowsy, and despite her struggles she had been unable to free herself from the drugged cloth and fallen asleep.

Now she found herself strapped up. Had Dr. Kim done this to her? Had she been kidnapped? Jenna shuddered at the thought. Nervously, she drew in a deep breath. “HEEEEELP!” She shouted, wondering if there was possibly anyone who could hear her.

Unfortunately there was, but it wasn’t someone who was going to help her. One of the doors opened and Dr. Kim entered the room. Jenna was startled at the change an outfit could do to a woman. Earlier today, the slim Korean woman had been dressed professionally in a white blouse, black pants, and high heeled ankle boots. Now she wore black thigh high boots, a black leather skirt, and a black corset top alongside long black leather gloves. She gulped. Dr. Kim now looked like Mistress Kim as she strode into the room with multiple things in a gloved hand. “Now Jenna, we can’t have you screaming like that. No one will hear you of course, but it is rather distracting to my work.”

Jenna resumed her struggles. “What the hell are you doing?! You can’t kidnap me like this!”

“Kidnapping? Oh no Jenna.” Dr. Kim shook her head as she set one of the items down on the table and brought the other up. “This is an exploration of your fears.”

“How the hell is this-mmmmph!?”

Jenna’s tirade was interrupted as Dr. Kim took the black ballgag she had been holding in her hand and stuffed it between her teeth mid sentence. Jenna’s eyes bulged as she bit down into the rubber sphere, but her struggles were unable to prevent her therapist from buckling the strap at the back of her neck. “Mmmmph pfft grrrmmmm!” Jenna cried out, shaking her head back and forth and trying to use her tongue to dislodge the gag.

“Let me show you something.” Dr. Kim walked across the room and opened the sole door on the wall to Jenna’s left.

On the other side of the door was a warmly lit room, with a carpet floor and brown walls. With a start, Jenna realized the walls were covered in large sound cancelling tiles: large triangular shapes extending out at intervals that were used to reduce the sound made in music rooms. “This.” Dr. Kim announced. “Is my negative sound room.”

Jenna didn’t understand, and it must’ve shown in her eyes since Dr. Kim continued. “It is a silent room. And I mean silent. You’ll hear your own heartbeat, your eyes blinking, your bones moving with each motion. It is a void of sound, and you are going inside.”

Jenna frantically shook her head. She thought the locker in middle school was the worst possible scenario for her but somehow Dr. Kim had found a worse one. The silence would be utterly deafening to her, amplifying her fear, and triggering her. She whimpered as Dr. Kim approached her once again, picking up the leathery item that she had left on the table and unfurling it into…a hood. Jenna stared at the black leather item in horror, noting how there were no holes for her eyes, just two holes for her nose.

Something broke inside of her and Jenna started sobbing behind her gag, shaking her head and struggling with all she had against the straitjacket. Dr. Kim advanced mercilessly though and soon enough pulled the leather hood over Jenna’s head. Her beautiful Asian features soon disappeared behind featureless black leather, which muffled her sobs somewhat as the laces were tightened and the leather became skintight.

Inside the hood, Jenna only knew blackness. She was terrified, her fear was amplified even more by the crushing sensation of the hood. It was far worse than a dark locker, but as she felt the wheelchair holding her begin to move, she wondered how much worse it would be once she was contained in that chamber.

The hood muffled the sound reaching her ears somewhat, but Jenna knew the moment she entered the silent room when the noise of the wheelchair was reduced to a whisper. The silence was deafening, but she could still feel as Dr. Kim removed the strap around her waist and stood her up from the chair. Blindly she stumbled forward, having no idea where the walls were and very thankful she had decided to not wear heels today, but it was very unnerving to her to not hear her own footsteps. Normally her Docs made a satisfying sound with each step, but she couldn’t hear a thing. She felt a change in the air as the door to the room closed, sealing her into the enclosed space and despite the room being decently large, Jenna could only think of it as a padded cell. In the silence, there was only one thing she could do as she panicked. She screamed.
