“Up against the wall and spread 'em!”
“I’m sure those are two words you’ve heard before, officer.”
“Shut your mouth!”
Officer Julianna grit her teeth as she held her gun on the man in front of her. She had just been walking by on patrol when a van parked down an alley had raised her suspicions. While it wasn’t uncommon to see moving trucks in the area around the nightclubs, something in the back of her mind told her to check it out so she had crept down the alley and while the truck itself didn’t look suspicious at all at first glance, the guy in a mask carrying a bound and gagged girl over his shoulder definitely was.
Seeing a police officer with a gun, he’d been rather compliant, setting the girl down and now standing against the wall with his hands raised. But instead of looking scared in any form he looked almost sympathetic. “Do you believe in fate, officer?”
The girl on the ground screamed behind the gag covering her mouth. She was currently bound with duct tape at her wrists and ankles, simple bindings really. Her gag was another matter, something was clearly stuffed into her mouth and multiple wraps of duct tape were pulled around her head to mask the bottom half of her face. She had dyed red hair and was dressed in a burgundy minidress with multiple cutouts and what Julianna recognized as a pair of Demonia platform boots. Julianna owned a pair herself but shook herself out of the fashion assessment to refocus on the current threat in front of her. “I prefer to believe I can make my own destiny.”
“Well I like to think of it as luck.”
“Shut up and turn around and face the wall.”
He stayed where he was and kept talking. “Unlucky for both of us that you arrived when you did. Unlucky for me that I was caught, and unlucky for you because if you had arrived five minutes earlier or later, we would have never met.”
“I don’t think that’s unlucky for me at all.” She said coolly. “I’m lucky because I was here in time to stop you and save this girl.”
“You’re unlucky, because if you didn’t come and find me here, my partner wouldn’t have gotten the drop on you.”
The sound of the shotgun pump was incredibly loud to Julianna’s ear as she was suddenly aware of the barrel of a large gun pointed at her head. The first man simply shrugged. “Oopsie.”
“What if I get you first.” She ground out through her clenched teeth.
“Perhaps.” He seemed completely unconcerned that there was still a gun levelled at him. “But you won’t be able to escape my partner. He will kill you, then he’ll kill her.
He gestured to the girl on the ground who sobbed and curled up into a ball, unable to do anything at all. She was completely helpless, and Julianna realized she had no choice. With a sigh, she lowered her gun from the first kidnapper and raised her hands.
“Atta girl, nice and slow. Set the gun down on the ground and kick it over here.”
Julianna complied, trying to catch the eye of the bound and gagged girl to reassure her but the girl had her eyes squeezed shut. The first man picked up her pistol and inspected it. “Always wanted one of these.”
“Get her into the van before anyone else shows up.”
Gesturing with her pistol, the first kidnapper had Julianna walk over to the back of the truck while the second one opened up the back. Julianna stared in confusion at the numerous metal frames stored in the back, but obliged when shoved up into the back of the truck.
She was ordered over to a spot against the wall of the truck and kept her hands raised as the men retrieved the first captive and set her down in the corner before closing down the back. Julianna received a rough patdown, which included the removal of her utility belt, radio, handcuffs, and more, before the first kidnapper held up a weird strappy contraption with a leather panel in the middle. Julianna didn’t recognize it, but seeing a large ball attached to the inside of the panel and knowing these men were kidnappers, it couldn’t be good at all. “Open up officer.” He said with a grin.
Julianna complied, grunting as the ball was inserted into her mouth spreading her jaw to the limit before it snapped in behind her teeth. The rest of the straps were quickly buckled, crushing the leather panel of the gag against her lips and securing her head in a vice like grip. “Grrmmmphhhh.” She groaned.
Now unable to speak, she was brought over to one of the frames. On closer inspection, Julianna could now see manacles hanging from the frame at multiple points, but especially in the four corners. “Spread everything.” The second man grunted.
Making an X with her body, her heart raced as she watched the first man walk over to the corner of the frame and lock a metal cuff around her right wrist. With the shotgun still aimed at the poor girl in the corner, Julianna couldn’t resist as her left wrist was also secured in cold metal. He kicked her legs further apart before closing another cuff over her work boots, first the right and then the left. Satisfied the cop was no longer a threat, the second man put the shotgun down. Using a set of cranks built into the frame, the chains attached to her cuffs were pulled tight, causing Julianna to be pulled apart from all four sides in tight enough fashion that her feet were pulled up off of the ground.
Now fully helpless, they rolled the frame over to one side of the truck and locked it into slots in the floor. While she was now fully spread and suspended in the air, her position still allowed her to watch as the two men ganged up on the helpless coed. A knife flashed and for a second Julianna felt her heart stop, but it was used to simply cut through the tape bindings at her wrists and ankles. Having seen the police officer get put up on the spreader frame and staring down the barrel of a pistol herself, she meekly stood at the center of a second frame and watched with apprehensive eyes as the cuffs were pulled over to her limbs and she too was soon strung up in an X facing Julianna. Julianna could see the tears in the poor girl’s eyes as they strained against their cuffs, the metal cutting into their flesh as they were kept spread out and suspended in the air. “Well officer.” The first man grinned as he pulled away his mask. “I would say whatever luck you may have had banked has finally run out.”
