I awoke to the smell of something delicious, which was great because I was starving. I tried to sit up, but the events of last night came rushing back to my brain and I remembered that although I was attached to Emily’s body, she still had control of it. We had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and she’d figure it would be easier to get around with me on her shoulders.
Good morning. Emily said in my head while she sat us up.
“Morning.” I replied. I desperately wanted to talk with her about what had happened between us last night, but obviously now was not the time or place.
“Good morning to you, too!” I heard Chelsea say. I turned my head around and saw Chelsea, still just a head, resting on the coffee table watching Saturday morning cartoons. She must have thought I was talking to her since she doesn’t know about me and Emily being combined, “My body is making pancakes for everyone.!”
I looked over in the kitchen, and sure enough, Chelsea’s body was still on autopilot and pouring batter onto a pan. Gerald sat at the kitchen table awaiting the first batch. That explained the smell.
Hey, we’re hungry, let’s go get in on those pancakes. Emily told me.
“Lead the way.” I replied.
“Huh, I can’t really lead anyone anywhere, you know.” Chelsea said.
“Oh, um, I wasn’t talking to you.” I told Chelsea, who looked at me like I had gone crazy.
You should probably explain this to everyone
“Yeah, probably, but let’s wait for Will and Greta to wake up so I don’t have to do it twice.”
“Seriously, you okay?” Chelsea asked.
Emily bent over to pick up her head and walked the three of us to the dining room table, taking a seat across from Gerald and placing Chelsea in the center of the table. Meanwhile, I watched Chelsea’s body, dressed in a sexy nightgown, reaching up into the cabinets to grab some plates. Given how short both she and the nightgown were, her stretching caused it to ride up and give me a glimpse of the thong she wore underneath. I almost immediately felt Emily’s hand grab my face and force me to face forward. Oh yeah, she can see through my eyes, forgot about that.
Just then, the headswapped Will and Greta were coaxed out of the guest room by the smell of the pancakes, they took a seat and as soon as Will got a good look at me, he gave me that knowing look. That ‘you totally got some, didn’t you? You did!’ look.
“So it looks like everyone is here except Emily, then.” Greta said. The perfect segue, thank you very much.
“Well, actually...” I told them the story, except for the dirty part. I’m sure Will would force it out of me later when the two of us were alone, though.
“Hey, that sounds like fun, we should try that sometime, Gerald!” Chelsea said.
“Hm, yeah, it seems like there’d be lots of... possibilities.” he replied.
At this point, Chelsea’s body began to place plates with shortstacks in front of us. The feeding process was quite interesting, with Gerald alternating between taking a bite for himself and guiding the fork into Chelsea’s mouth. Greta and Will argued about how many pancakes he was allowed to shovel into his mouth while it was connected to her stomach, and Emily and myself had to coordinate, which was harder than it sounds. All the while, Chelsea’s body dutifully refilled our glasses of orange juice whenever they were empty. She really must be a great waitress.
So after breakfast, we decided it was time to get ourselves sorted out, with the exception of Chelsea, whose body was busy busing the table and washing dishes. “Okay, first let’s try and get me and Emily separated,” I said, handing the green blade to Will, who promptly sliced my head off of Emily’s shoulders and placed it on my own, which was still lying motionless on the ground. Emily’s body, much to our surprise, fell to the ground.
Hey, I can’t feel my body anymore... but I can feel yours, but I can’t control anything! I heard in my head. Aw, crap. Emily was reduced to a voice in my head.
Greta rushed over to Emily’s headless, lifeless body and propped it up, “Is she okay?”
“Um, she’s still in here.” I point to my head. It was nice to have control back, but it would be easier to enjoy without our current little predicament.
I’m scared! What if I’m stuck like this? We never should have played around like that!
“Calm down, we’ll think of something...” I tried to reassure her. I looked at the purple blade and got an idea. It was a longshot, but it was all I had, “Okay, first use the red and blue blade to cut my head off, with the blue up, and put it back on Emily’s body.
Gerald complied, and within seconds, I was back on Emily’s body, only this time I had full control of it. I guess this is an improvement. Emily said sarcastically.
“Now cut my head off again with the purple sword,” I said, “I figure, if it can give parts their own mind, maybe it can also separate two minds that are stuck together.”
“Hm, yeah, perhaps that was the original intent of that particular magic,” Greta mused, “And if it doesn’t have two minds to work with, it will take an aspect of your personality from your mind and implant it into the severed parts.”
“Hey yeah,” Chelsea’s head said from her perch on the coffee table, “I was feeling stressed out because of work lately, so maybe that’s why my body is stuck in waitress mode.”
“Likewise, my introduction to the blades involved a prank involving Em’s disembodied head, so I had just recently been scared, which is perhaps why my legs ran amok after they were cut off by the purple blade.”
“That seems likely, and I’m sure Jason would appreciate that bit information very much,” I butted in, “But Em is still stuck in my head. Okay, Em, if this works, give us the double thumbs up.”
Gotcha.
And once again, I can’t even keep track of how many times, I had my neck sliced with a magic sword. I tumbled into Emily’s lap, unable to feel anything but my head. Nor could I hear anything in my head, hopefully this was a good sign. Emily’s body, under whose control, I do not know, began to raise her hands slowly, deliberately so, until finally, she raised two digits, though they weren’t thumbs, but her middle fingers. She quickly flipped her hands over and gave us the desired gesture, though. We all had a good laugh over it. Will helpfully picked me up and put me back on my body, finally, whole and alone in my thoughts!
“So, I guess we should find Em’s head next, huh.” Will suggested. Emily had picked up Chelsea’s head and placed her on her lap and began to run her fingers through her hair.
Just then, Chelsea’s body walked into the room, carrying in its hands Emily’s dormant head.
“Sheesh, she really is the ultimate waitress.” Will remarked.
“This magic really needs to get the proper approval so I can send it to work without me!” Cheslea said while her body walked up to Emily and placed her head on her shoulders.
“AHHHH, finally.” Emily sighed. She lifted Chelsea’s head out of her lap and asked her, “So I suppose you want to be back in one piece, too?”
Chelsea shifted her eyes back and forth, thinking momentarily before saying, “Actually, it’s pretty relaxing being just a head, especially when my body is so good at doing prettymuch everything. So I kinda want to stay this way, at least until monday, when I have class.”
“I’m cool with that. It’s almost like having two girlfriends!” Gerald said with a smile on his face. He plucked Chelsea out of Emily’s hands and gave her a kiss.
“Hey, can me and Greta stay swapped until Monday, too?” Will asked, “It’s pretty awesome having lady parts.”
“Yes, I wouldn’t mind exploring the male anatomy for a couple more days,” Greta said in compliance.
“Yeah, but wouldn’t it be a bad idea to walk around like that?” Emily pointed out.
“I have an idea!” I picked up the red/blue blade, and with the red side up and sliced their heads off of each other’s bodies. Then, taking the lifeless heads, I placed them on the bodies that they belonged to. Because their minds were left in each other’s bodies, though, this means I had just performed a complete body swap. I felt kind of like a mad scientist for a second.
“Hey, what just-” Will began to say in Greta’s voice, he then looked to his left to see what used to be him, “Oh, I get it. Good thinkin, Ted.”
“Yes, this should make it possible for us to go about without stirring up any trouble.” It was weird to hear Greta’s speaking mannerisms in Will’s voice.
The four us decided it was time to head back to Tetrade. We said our goodbyes to Gerald, Chelsea, and Chelseas body, packed the blades away and began the short-ish walk back to the dorms along the dirt road through the woods. We began to strike up conversation about the previous night and this morning.
“Man, I don’t know if I could stand being a head like that for so long.” Will said.
“You know, we’ve all been reduced to a head for at least a short amount of time except for you,” Greta grinned evilly” Maybe when we get back, you should experience it.”
“H-hey, I’m not giving up this hot bod until monday!” Will protested, cupping his breasts, “Besides, I was just the other kind of head a few days ago.”
“Wait, what?” Emily gasped.
“Oh, you mean you haven’t heard the story?” I asked, “Well, it goes a little something like this...”
“You know, I think I know enough as is.” Emily cut me off.
“Say, Ted,” Will changed the subject, though I wish he had chosen a different one to change it to, “when you and Em had your minds stuck together, did you do anything dirty?”
“WILLIAM!” Greta snapped at him, again, weird to hear in his voice.
Emily and myself both looked to the side and avoided eye contact, and hopefully the need to answer the question. Our lack of an answer was just as good as a resounding ‘hell yeah’ to Will, who ran ahead of the pack to turn around and try to give me a high five, but suddenly, a shadow flew over us.
Not even twenty feet behind us, we see something fall from the sky and kick up a huge cloud of dust upon impact. The four of us nervously stared at this cloud, and when it cleared, it revealed a gorgeous woman, and I mean ‘forget about Emily’ level hot. She did have a few peculiar attributes, however, one being her wardrobe, which consisted of two animal pelts, one barely covering her extremely well endowed chest, and another wrapped around her waist. More noteworthy than that, however, were the six foot long bat-like wings protruding from her back and the tail tipped with a sinister looking barb swaying ominously behind her.
“No... a succubus...” Greta said shakily. It was a bad day for her to be inhabiting the body of a man.
The Succubus brushed her long, black hair out of her face, which I might add, was likely the prettiest face I had ever seen, and also likely the last I ever would see. The four of us were petrified. It takes an army of seasoned veterans to take down a succubus, and we are just a small group of students, three of which barely know magic and one who knows none at all. We were as good as dead, but least me and Greta would get one crazy lay before we left the land of the living. It was hardly a comforting thought.
