For ObsydianDreamer's Flash Fiction Competition - Third Round!
Prompt was 256 words, no adverbs. I decided to make the scene fit the word count. 
Oh my God, tho, the adverb thing was torture. I was forced to use semicolons. 
Plus, even though I cleave to the Chicago Manual in most things, I couldn't collapse spaces around ellipses because that bollicks-up word-counting functions, and just looking at it is making me twitch. 
Still, I rather like how this one turned out.
Edit: Now, with some appropriately fancy 3d illustrations!
