Still percolating on the next Volunteer chapters, so I wrote a piece for The Opening Chapter Contest: Phase Two at The-Novelists to shake the cobwebs loose. As is probably obvious, I went with SGT-Stories' premise: "In a country ravaged by war, the main character takes up arms by using witchcraft. However, witchcraft is strictly forbidden by both sides of the conflict."
