Is rhyming a juvenile notion,
for poets who can't prompt emotion?
Rhyming's harder, I say,
and a natural way,
to show language some proper devotion.

But beauty is hard to define,
in image, much less words-in-line.
Is it feelings that matter,
make you happy or sadder,
and make poetry quasi-divine?

I suppose I can try to forego 'em,
strip naked my fears and just show 'em.
No rhymes to conceal me,
just words so you feel me,
though to me, it won't seem like a poem.
