Translated file retrieved from Feran databanks following a successful raid on their research facilities near New Paris;

Our tentative treaty with the humans gives us a sizable stockpile of subjects to use in our experiments, true. But if I were at the negotiating table that day, I would’ve made it clear that we are to be given healthy stock. After the last few came riddled with disease or were so aged they couldn’t last through the preliminary testing phases, I was almost tempted to get the Directorate to rethink their deal with the humans…but now? I think not…

Yes, being physically able and healthy are one of the first few things we, or rather, any scientist worth their meat would look at when choosing a rat to experiment on, hence the initial frustration my men and I have experienced over the last few weeks with the inept individuals sent our way. I hear the humans claim us to be ‘savage and ruthless’, but yet, here they are; sending us their sick, their old, their disabled…all in an effort to protect what little remains of their kind after our overwhelming first strike.

How funny to think that their desperation will ultimately be their undoing…once we no longer have a need for them of course.

About seven moons (Nine Earth days) ago, we discovered a peculiar individual amongst the latest batch delivered to us. Despite its appearance and status as a young, healthy human adult. The behavior displayed was more akin to a child…nay, a Dehesehya (Feran equivalent of a Troglodyte)…a term I willingly use because it showed no fear despite our guards constant threats to put it down, only complying with an appropriate application of physical force. Acting like a complete oaf the entire time…it was later when we would discover strange growths the subject’s cranium and a deformation in the brain. Probably the root cause for its degenerative behavior.

Dismissing this Timothy fellow as another one of the unfortunate outcasts to be sent to our labs, my men had administered a sample of our latest genetic molds into its bloodstream, not expecting much else to happen considering the subject’s mental state. At worst, we were prepared for a pulpy mess…but at best? Well…we never even thought about that at first…until the data readings began to show an acceptance in the bonding process; cellular changes rapidly occurred with each passing second. Hormonal levels being altered in accordance and miraculously, no side effects or rejection to speak of, even now while we keep our latest success under constant watch before her transfer off-world for a bigger housing to accommodate for Subject A-1’s increased mass.

While the original humanoid shape remains, our gene mold has done excellently well in regards to mental regression nanites subduing what might remain of any lingering human attachments and identity, rendering the resultant female hybrid completely subservient to our cause.

Utilizing Reacordia Sepsis (Foreign Animal-life, presumed native to Feran homeworld) DNA, Subject A-1’s body has undergone severe alterations, gaining several of the Reacordia’s traits in the form of webbed wings supported by enhanced musculature tipped with their signature curved talons and the growth of bile sacs that allows for a concentrated excretion of the original creature’s powerful acid to phenomenal scale thanks to the enhanced and exaggerated increase in mass and introduction of Homo sapien genes, but with the aforementioned reduction in the latter, Subject A-1 has been rendered female since there are no recorded instances of male Reacordia, retaining only a vestige of her former self with the ability to manifest a fully functioning phallus in the absence of her lifemate and current handler reassigned from guard duty after his dutiful work in handling the processing of subjects had earned him the right of being the only Feran in existence she would ever accept an order from. We could’ve resorted to the use of subjugation collars, but the man assures me Subject A-1 will be no problem…in fact, I think he’s gotten rather fond of her.

The most unusual and distinct mutation however, would be the manifestation of two new, fully sentient heads separate from the original. While all three have a shared affection for their handler, each one varies drastically in terms of personality and intelligence, something I can confidently say was a direct result of the gene mold successfully bonding with a perceived defect and its problematic brain. The central head seems to command authority over the others, sharing the childish aloofness of the leftmost and a modicum of the blood rage that fuels the last. And with an enhanced intelligence devoted solely to furthering our military’s progress in whatever battlefield she might be deployed to alongside her handler, as proven in several tests (See attached reports for trial results and assessment) conducted in the neighboring virtual testing facilities. And through said tests, it seems she might want to play a big role in the upcoming clean up operations I have in mind to propose to the Directorate.

When I requested her former ‘adoptive parents’ be detained and brought to the labs…suffice to say that Subject A-1’s fury and delight in the resulting mess serves as the ultimate proof that the best, cost-efficient weapon we have are the humans themselves…turning the neglected and abandoned among them to our side, reducing potential Feran costs and casualties a great deal…after all, Subject A-1 has no need for weaponry, ordnance or ammunition if she were to, say, be set loose upon a city…with a new series of gene molds being introduced thanks to A-1 and another fine tuned to be a portable weapon capable of turning enemy forces or resistant populations en masse, it might not be long till we see a Subject A-2.

For now, I've left the handler to care for A-1. In some twisted way, she's grown fond of us. Not enough to obey orders given by those that aren’t her mate but just enough to not lash out at the others…and the humans have the unlucky fate of being her mortal enemies, a genetic memory retained from the trauma and neglect she had suffered at their hands, blessed by our technology to deliver righteous fire unto them…

The research facilities show no signs of the aforementioned ‘Subject A-1’. Search will continue…
