When Dillon had returned home to find an eviction notice on the front door and his belongings being picked through by scavs, it was the final weight that finally broke the man's resolve and hope for a better life.

With only the clothes he wore on his near skeletal frame and frayed bag in shaky hand to his name, Dillon had no choice but to leave when the weather started to sour. But with nowhere to go and no one left to help, the man was truly lost and afraid, walking through rain swept streets and rubbish strewn alleyways without purpose or destination in mind.

By the time night fell and the stormy clouds had passed, Dillon's body was aching and shivering from a mixture of exhaustion and hypothermia. After trying his luck going from door to door, it seemed as if he would have to tough out the rest of the night on his lonesome. Already wishing for the cold embrace of the afterlife to end it all after having seen too much loss from a life of nothing but hardship despite his best efforts to avert such a fate.

But elsewhere in places veiled to the naked eye, otherworldly beings had taken notice of Dillon's plight, viewing the young human with pitiable looks before a silent discussion was soon held amongst them and not long after, a decision. They agreed that a soul as stalwart and young as Dillon’s should be given a second chance when almost every single ailment that had plagued the man’s life had been totally out of his control. And many amongst them knew the futility of going against fate itself before they became the godlike beings they were today. While they wouldn’t be able to show this compassion for other wayward souls trapped in Dillon’s situation, the best they could do was to bring some measure of happiness to at least one before they departed Earth.

With the gathering’s combined power, the flow of time across the world comes to a stop for a singular moment, encompassing the globe and centered around the disheartened Dillon as his surroundings begin to change; warping from a dank alley into a homely bar styled after gothic architecture and furnished from floor to ceiling in equally gorgeous and brooding tables and chairs covered in lace, embroidered table cloth and polished silverware, all custom made to tailor to the owners tastes

And just as the final bits of a mahogany furnished bar counter finishes forming over the front of an extensive array of polished shot cups and mugs alongside an armada of alcohol, the proprietor of the fancy bar begins to take shape from a still frozen Dillon as disheveled clothes ripple away to reveal revitalized meat flowing into a malnourished body alongside rapid changes that serve to elongate and thicken limbs, all while changing them to finalize at smooth, curvy contours more in line with that of a woman's than a man, coated over in pale hairless skin radiating warmth and a creamy texture that tempted one to reach out and brush at it.

By the time Dillon's gaunt stomach fills with enough flesh and fat for it to ripen into a toned tummy squeezed tight by leather straps that materializes over a cinched in waist line alongside thin, form fitting clothes sporting plenty of cutouts along the midriff and shoulders to expose the beginnings of a hearty bosom and the outlines of a soft bump between plump thighs where a bulge should've been, it was clear then that Dillon was man no longer as his lifeless face warps into that of a gorgeous beauty complete with heavy eyelids and soft-spoken lips. Framed by curly locks of raven black hair that drapes over a lustrous right eye atop a voluptuous physique that would leave most girls envious draped in dark moody attire that instantly associates the newly formed woman with the bar. With her jeans reforming into distressed ones alongside accessories ranging from earrings to a choker snapping themselves over her ears and neck, time begins to flow once more just as her worn carrier, the last remnants of Dillon, morphs into a shopping bag holding expensive cargo inside; a unique wine supposedly able to bring lovebirds across the world together. Leaving the newborn woman stunned for a moment as she gazes around the bar in confusion.

"What was I…wasn't there something important I needed to…Oh! The wine! Gerald should be popping in for that visit I put him up to…gotta change out of these clothes quick before he gets here!"

Setting down the goods before dashing off to the upstairs that served as her home at work, Diana begins to prepare for the arrival of a man that had caught her fancy a few weeks ago during a particularly hectic shift managing the rowdy patrons of her popular bar where the stressed and disheartened gathered to rest and recuperate. He had been fun to talk to and charming to a T, so when she had found out he lost his job, Diana had been quick to hire him as a waiter and bouncer, doubling as enforcement for the more rowdier aspects of her loving patrons. Something the man felt immense gratitude for after repeatedly being turned away from other employers.

And with the passing of time, one thing simply led to another, and now, weeks after they first met, Diana was convinced that Gerald was the man for her, and as she changes from her casual clothes into more fancier attire that would surely catch his eyes with an added bonus waiting beneath if things got to that point, a sudden flash of emotion passes her by, filling her heart with a heavy tonnage akin to pain that had her clutching at her breast in worry…before it suddenly fades just as fast as it had arrived, allowing her to breathe freely once more, oblivious to the pain of a life long forgotten leaving her entirely.

Although she wouldn't have much time to ponder what just happened when a knock rings out loud enough to snap Diana back into focus. Doing a once over in the mirror and patting down her dress, the excited goth slips out the door, ready to make her feelings known to someone she knew felt the same way about her as she did him.

‘God I hope the wine does the trick…’
