“You have to sit still, Miss Tsunako! We could hurt you!”

“I don’t wanna!”

“But you need to look your best! Mistress Inori specifically requested-”

“I SAID NO!”

Squirming defiantly in the midst of a flurry of movement, a blonde haired kitsune youngling struggles to shake off the small army of lesser beastkin handmaidens, all of them looking more or less the same and sporting the mannerisms and efficacy in housekeeping and other maidly duties required of an elite handmaiden to the royal Minato bloodline, swiftly applying makeup while grooming the angry gremlin in their midst despite her resistance.

It was only a few hours ago when the fabled Hero; Thomas and his party had made their way through the demon infested valley that lay below the imposing manor that served as the home for House Minato for centuries, a family of renowned demons that had travelled all the way from an unknown land far away in the East.

They had been too cocky, mocking the legends and rumours that spoke of the Kitsune as creatures of mischief and deceit, not fully understanding the scale of what they were dealing with as they slew beastkin after beastkin on their way to the throne room.

It was only until they faced down the mistress of the manor herself; Inori Minato, when they realized the gravity of the situation and how helpless they were in the face of true power..

The group barely had time to react before Priestess Selene had been hit by a strange spell, leaving only another of the black haired beastkin maids they had fought standing in her place, her holy robes transformed into an ordinary maid’s uniform. Despite some resistance, Selene would succumb to whatever it was that Inori had cast upon her as she began to attack Thomas with a series of rapid claw swipes and vicious hissing, the woman she was no longer present in the scarlet serpentine eyes that glared at her former love with hatred. Separating the hero from his comrades as all of them fell to Inori’s magics one by one.

Soon, the only human left in the room was Thomas himself, bound by a menagerie of identical beastkin maids comprised of his former party, unable to tell Selene apart from the others as Inori drew closer, the bodacious kitsune licking her lips as she finally approached the defeated Hero, his former party standing to the sidelines with their heads held low in obedience without a shred of recognition in their scarlet eyes..

“Is that the best you can do? Disappointing…but you might still serve some use yet…”

That was when Inori leaned in for a kiss, surprising Thomas before a nauseating feeling falls over him, unable to fight back as he felt his armor and tunic slide off of him, shrinking rapidly as his trained body fades away, long locks of blonde beginning to frame his vision as Inori lifts him easily into the air, cradling his soft figure in her arms like a loving mother.

Until Inori parted her kiss, gently placing the altered Thomas back down to the floor with a loving look in her eyes, commanding the newly integrated maids to ‘get her ready for dinner’.

It wasn’t until the maids had ushered Thomas into a dressing room fitted with a mirror that he, or rather she, finally understood what the accursed kitsune had done to her, staring wide eyed back at the reflection of what looked like a younger Inori, complete with 9 fluffy tails wagging adorably from her rear as the handmaidens fawned and gushed over her, rapidly dressing her up in cute dresses before she could protest.

In addition to physically transforming Thomas into a full fledged kitsune unlike the rest of her party, she now found herself unable to recall any of her training back at the castle that enabled her to escape from any binding with her mind now regressed back into that of a child as she glared teary eyed at her own reflection. Unable to direct her anger as the memory of Inori warps from sworn enemy to dear mother.

For all intents and purposes, Thomas the hero had been defeated, rendered a helpless child to the very enemy he had travelled so far to defeat. Eventually however, even the memory of revenge she had sworn would one day fade away as she spent more time with her new family, falling deeper and deeper into her role as Tsunako Minato until it was all she knew, doing her mother proud with a talent for magic and the finer things in life...
