Walking down the busy streets of a suburban town for an evening appointment at the hospital, Kris trudges through the ankle high mounds of snow beginning to build up on the sidewalk, shivering in the cold that bit through his sweatshirt and pants.

“S-Should’ve at least br-brought a j-jacket or something…”

Although it was an unusual time for snowfall midway through the year, the young man had to wonder whether this was a natural storm or one influenced by global warming, exhaling into his palms before rubbing them together, the angry red patterns extending from the tips of his fingers looking extra inflamed than usual.

No stranger to the forces of nature, Kris had survived a bolt of lightning during a game of hide-and-seek gone wrong. Left alone out in an open field, young Kris had stepped out of his hiding place at the wrong time in the middle of a severe thunderstorm.

From that day on, Kris had been cautious of any signs of bad weather, the vein like patterns of Lichtenberg Figures fanning out from the tips of his fingers where the lightning had made its mark serving as a permanent reminder to that terrible afternoon. The incident had also left Kris’ mind in turmoil, feeling an overbearing impulse to look for shelter whenever the skies showed the slightest hint of rain, necessitating visits to the local hospital for therapy.

Although he was fairly confident in recovering some semblance of his psyche, Kris knew there was still a long way to go before he could live freely without cowering in fear at the slightest hint of rain.

With the wind picking up and the snow falling twice as hard though, visibility was beginning to worsen with Kris’ blonde accented mop of hair whipping him in the face adding to the irritation. But his destination was just a few feet away, once he stepped through the pearly white gates, it was only going to take a few more steps before he could find some measure of relief in the safety of the hospital.

Unbeknownst to Kris however, he would never arrive on time to his appointment at the hospital. In fact, he would never again be seen by the public eye after vanishing into a wild snowstorm that had enveloped the city, vanishing just as quickly as it picked up, leaving not a trace of the young man behind besides the ghostly footprints in the snow, stopping just as they cross over the gateway…

“Strange…shouldn’t the hospital be right here?”

Walking through the front gate, Kris was met with an unexpected gust of wind even stronger than before, watching clumps of snow begin to encase his hair with each step forward, his sweatshirt growing stiff in the biting cold.

But no matter how much he walked, the hospital was nowhere to be seen, glancing down at the pavement with weary eyes, unsure if his mind was playing tricks on him with each glimpse of the terrain through the obfuscating clouds of snow. Instead of the usual carved brick pavement, Kris could see what looked to be pebbles and large slabs of smooth rock laid out before him.

“T-This can’t be right…did the hospital get funds for renovations or something?”

Despite his doubts, Kris remained hopeful as he trudged further along the path, eyeing what looked to be blue orbs of light in the distance, probably the LED lighting for the many lamps that lined the hospital’s perimeter.

Drawing closer however, Kris had to shake his head in disbelief at the sight of the stone torches that flanked the pathway, a ghostly blue orb of fire burning bright within the interior. Only instead of warmth, Kris’ sporadic breathing and shivers only worsened when he neared them. It was as if they were radiating a frigid aura instead of the warmth expected of a fire.

It was at this point where Kris could no longer deny the reality facing him down; that he was no longer at the hospital…or anywhere else known to him.

Turning back wasn’t an option either, Kris could see the vague silhouette of a building up ahead so turning back now would’ve been a waste of time, and for all he knew, it would take ages for him to find shelter, much less a way out if he turned back now, glancing back down the path he had taken to see an endless void of pale white billowing all around him with the setting sun casting a shadow over the blizzard, sending a tingle of fear up Kris’ spine at how eerily similar it looked to rain.

But wherever this was, he needed to find someplace to warm himself up before hypothermia could set in, already losing feeling in his legs the longer he remained still.

Left without a choice, Kris hugs his arms close to his chest, willing his numb legs forward through the thick snow and frigid air, moving as fast as possible toward the building while fighting off the bitter cold radiating from the many stone torches that lined the path, almost tripping up the rickety wooden steps that led up to the entrance of a modest looking temple, reminiscent of those found in Japan.

If he weren’t about to freeze to death, Kris would’ve loved to explore the distant courtyard he could see in the corner of his eyes.

Without breaking stride, Kris barrels through the sliding doors before slamming them shut behind him as the howl of the raging winds outside turn into a muffled drumming, rattling the doors as he falls to his knees in a mess after sprinting through the gauntlet of frost torches. With his eyesight still adjusting to the darkened interior of the temple, Kris begins to crawl toward the vague silhouette of a fireplace, rummaging in his pockets for the lighter he carried around for emergencies, desperately thumbing the trigger against the damp wood, hoping to get a fire going.

“F-Friggin h-hell, n-need…f-fire…w-warmth…”

Muttering incoherently under his breath, Kris’ attempts to get a fire going pays off, auburn pupils igniting as what little remained of the kindling sparks gold, embers beginning to crawl over the rest of the firewood as Kris excitedly holds his hands out over the fire, basking in the warmth like a child receiving their first christmas present.

But with the immediate threat of freezing to death overcome, Kris still had no idea where he was, looking wearily around the frost covered floorboards peeking through upturned tatami mats and how the ruined rafters jutted downward like the broken ribs of an ancient beast. Whoever had made the structure seemed to have focused their efforts on the surface level, leaving the inside to crumble to the ravages of time.

More interesting though, was the room Kris assumed the former inhabitants had used for prayers. Peering through the torn sliding doors to eye up the giant statue of a deity he had never seen before, made that much stranger with how its aesthetics seemed to clash with the Japanese architecture around it, the figures' immense hair flowing around it in huge waves of worn gold.

“But why is there a Japanese temple out here? Wherever ‘here’ is…never heard of a blizzard at this time of the year too…”

Before Kris could ponder further on where he even ended up, something pale and small crosses the border of his vision, feeling the static brush of fur against his pants as he looks down at an adorable little ball of fur, beady black eyes gazing into his with a small pink tongue lolling from its canines.

“Woah…hey there little guy…”

Ruffling the peculiar little animal on the head, Kris couldn’t help but smile as the creature returns his pats with a series of affectionate licks, before bounding over to the doors separating the main lobby Kris was in and the giant room where the statue was, barking happily as if to get him to follow. After a few more seconds of warming up by the fire, Kris grabs a hefty stick of wood from the debris scattered around the place, lighting up the tip to serve as a torch before moving off for the prayer hall, the white furball already having vanished a long time ago.

Stepping into the prayer hall, the Kris runs his hands over the ancient wood and rusted torches, the dust of ages coating every single surface as he makes his way deeper into the unexpectedly huge room, all the while eyeing the massive worn statue of the mysterious woman clad in rag-like clothes that only reinforced the strangeness of it all; a foreign deity in a Japanese shrine?

Another bark draws Kris’ attention, turning to the left to see the tiny fur ball squeeze its way into a half opened door. Jogging after the animal, Kris carefully pries open the sliding door, this one being more rickety than the others and needing a few gentle nudges in the right direction to widen the hole enough for him to step through.

Within the secluded room, a single large mirror lies propped up against the wall with a leather box neatly placed in front of it, the rim lined with intricately carved silver reflecting the moonlight from the single large gaping hole in the roof allowing for snow to accumulate on the floor around the frosted over mirror. Judging by how he couldn’t hear the howling wind anymore, the blizzard must’ve come to an end.

But the small animal was nowhere to be found…

Moving closer to the mirror, Kris kneels to inspect the box, gingerly fingering the worn surface of the leather before prying the lid off to reveal a neatly aligned pair of silver gauntlets of a make he’d never seen before, the organic curves and bumps that lined the pristine armor giving it a lifelike appearance, as if it was forged from tufts of animal fur.

Curiosity takes over as Kris dumps the dwindling torch on the floor, grabbing a hold of the silver gauntlets and slipping his arms into the firm interior before flexing the clawed digits in wonder, it was a tight fit but it worked. With his eyes drawn to the way the moonlight seemed to ripple and split apart as he lifted them up to the hole in the roof, Kris had almost forgotten he was stranded in a strange place.

“Amazing…but still no way out of here…”

Sighing in disappointment at the ruined moment, Kris begins to slip the gauntlets off his arms before noticing something weird going on below the metal; his skin beginning to fill with streaks of deathly pale veins, panic rising in him when he realizes there wasn’t any feeling left in his hands anymore, unease filling him as he rises to his feet.

Uh uuh uhh~ Where do you think you’re going?

Before Kris could even react to the strange melancholic voice ringing in his mind, the startled young man suddenly freezes in place as if locked in time, only able to look forward at the mirror, its frosted surface slowly thawing away to reveal…

“W-What the hell?!”

Mimicking his every move was a buxom woman clad in some perverse mockery of a Japanese woman’s marriage attire, with her snow white skin on show through the various cuts and holes in the form fitting dress that clung to her shapely body. Her eyes shining a sinister gold as they peer back at Kris like a predator cornering their prey. It was only when she began to move did Kris realize it wasn’t copying him; it was he who was being forced to play along with the reflection’s every move.

But it wasn’t her lustful body or seductive face that caught Kris’ attention, it was the fluffy pair of fox ears that jutted out the top of her skull through an opening in the hood she wore, twitching as if they could sense Kris’ unease as a wicked grin splits the woman’s gentle lips, revealing sharpened incisors that looked like they belonged in the jaws of a beast than a kindly woman that was the facade staring Kris down as nine separate tails swirled gently behind her.

It reminded Kris of Japanese fox spirits that took on the appearance of a woman to deceive men.

Nice of you to drop by human~ That old witch promised me a suitable vessel two millennia ago…but here we are…

With a mind of their own, Kris’ legs begin to move forward towards the mirror in tandem with every step the woman took in her heels, finally getting close enough to view her picturesque face up close before being forced to plant his palms against the mirror.

“Please! I don’t even know how I got here! J-Just let me go and I won't bother you again!”

Awww~ Begging now are we? Sorry boy, no can do, I’ve been stuck here for ages…and you’re my ticket out of here! So be a good vessel, and let me in~

Snickering mischievously in her sing-song voice, the fox lady vanishes from view, the unseen force controlling Kris fading away as well, leaving him free to move away from the mirror. But even with his freedom restored, Kris knew the worst had yet to come with a prickly sensation spreading across his deathly pale skin, watching wide eyed as his own body begins to ripple like putty, feeling the strange sensation of his bones beginning to contort into new shapes as his muscle mass decreases drastically, melting into plump layers of fat that only served to make Kris look like a squeezable marshmallow as he falls to his knees halfway through a mad dash for the door, looking down in horror to see an unfamiliar pair of legs wrapped up in thigh high stockings with a lengthy gown flowing over his perky butt, a pair of high heels having taken the place of his sneakers.

Oh you dummy! It’s a bad idea to run in heels y’kno-stop it! Get out of-relax boy, just let it happen~

Clenching his head in distress as a sudden sting of pain pierces his cranium, Kris falls onto his back as his numb body continues to warp and transform, already gaining plenty of height as his face shifts under his palms, gaining a mature air as his eyes shift into an oriental slant, the reddish hue of a blush appearing on his cheeks at the sensation of two sensitive pricks under his shifting sweatshirt being stimulated as his hair loses its coloration, platinum silver locks of fluffy hair replacing the ordinary black accented with blonde he had spent years maintaining. Parting his arms to reveal the face of woman in the mirror, panting in labored breaths as a long dexterous tongue lolls in the air, the excited wisps of a sultry maiden echoing in the cool air.

“My voice…it’s so lovely~

Facing insurmountable odds against the supernatural entity, It didn’t take long for Kris’ mental resistance to crumble as the presence he could feel at the back of his mind ever since he laid hands on the mirror begins to grow stronger, manifesting like a pounding drum growing louder and louder with each part of Kris it had subsumed for its own. Venomous words and salacious thoughts begin to flood his mind, making it harder and harder for the fading human to cling to his identity as he struggled against the spirit’s influence in the void of his mind.

We love being ourselves, don’t we?

“N-no…I…”

We crave to dominate, to lord over others. With a blessed body that tempts the hearts of men and a face that brings peace to any who look upon us, who could resist?

“...”

The thrill of taking a man to bed, to savour his flesh right as he fills us with his steaming hot seed, it excites us so~

“It…It does…”

Then answer this; who are we?

“K-Kris…my name is Kr-”

I don’t think so, that doesn’t sound like a name for an enchanting beauty like ourselves now does it? And I said ‘us’ you dumb nut!

“...it doesn’t”

Good girl! Shi-ro-hi-me~ That is who we are…now say it.

“I...Weare Shirohime…”

As the fire of resistance dies off, Kris’ eyes begin to fill with an ominous golden glow, ordinary black pupils shifting rapidly into a singular red orb that glared out at the world, the human known as Kris no longer in control as a fluffy pair of fox ears erupts from the top of her silky head of hair, twitching wildly in the air before settling down.

Licking her lips as she rises off the floor in a graceful maneuver, the former Kris walks back over towards the mirror to examine her changing form with gusto, flaunting freshly formed childbearing hips and running a gauntleted hand over the smooth expanse of a toned belly with a seductive purr, narrowed eyes gleefully taking in the sight of the curvaceous body reflected in the mirror with creamy thighs and plenty of cleavage left exposed in the many slits of the elegant garb that had been formed from the remnants of Kris’ sweatshirt and pants, decorated with the same strokes and patterns that adorned the gauntlets as she slides the large cowl over her head.

Not to mention how smooth and rounded her shoulders were, every single part of her body oozed sexual energy; from her hourglass figure to the mature face framed with hair as pale as her skin and clothes. It all came together to give her a surreal sense of beauty.

With Kris all but gone, the newly dubbed Shirohime moaned in delight while playfully kneading a hefty breast in her gauntleted hand, immediately savouring the carnal sensations of the flesh without a shred of decency or attention to her surroundings. Her voice now completely that of the kitsune in the mirror.

“It’s been so long since I've felt this good! But this thing…has got to go..”

Drawing her attention to the one thing that needed to go before this body could truly be called her own. The arm that remained nestled over her warm midriff reaches down slowly to caress the erect member tenting the loincloth that hung down to her shapely legs, pushing gently with a clawed finger and watching in satisfaction as it begins to recede, the gaping slit that had widened beneath her now useless tesitcles swallowing the entire rod like a hungry mouth. A stifled half moan half giggle escaping her lips at how good it felt, literally screwing herself in the process of removing her manhood as a lengthy squirt of cum sprays out between her fingers, the thick white spray eventually giving way to a slow trickle of vaginal juices running down her lengthy legs.

“Just a little-hng-more…ahah~ and it’s done!”

Now left as nothing more than a tiny nub of shivering nerves atop a puckered slit, the moist entryway to Shirohime’s aching womb pulses with need as she lifts a finger to her lips, erotically pumping the slender digit in and out of her mouth while slowly savouring the salty-bitter mix of spunk and her own juices, swallowing eagerly as her lean neck bulges with activity. Eventually popping free of her puckered lips with a squelch as a bridge of saliva hangs in the air, feeling a fresh burst of energy flowing through her body as a flurry of activity erupts from her rear, sending a shiver up her spine as nine phantom tails sway and flow gracefully around her, each one coiled like a snake ready to strike as the kitsune giggles to herself, spinning around in the mirror like a giddy youngster trying on a dress for the first time.

But before she could think to reciprocate the burning need in her loins, Shirohime’s eyes widened at the fluffy little furball nudging its head lovingly against her ankles, using one of her tails to lift the adorable familiar up to her bosom, rubbing her cheeks against the animal she hadn’t had the chance to see since her imprisonment in the mirror at the hands of those annoying humans all those years ago.

“Aww there, there Taro~ I missed you too! You led the human here didn’t you?”

Barking excitedly, Taro leaps from her arms back towards the entrance as if it had found something…something the needy kitsune could already smell as her eyes narrow in glee, already thinking up how best to enjoy the lovely little human speeding rapidly toward the temple in search of warmth from the freezing temperatures outside.

Moving past and ignoring the giant statue that paid homage to her mistress, Shirohime stood patiently in the middle of the prayer hall, barely able to contain herself as she heard the creak of the sliding doors, the nauseating aroma of a healthy human man wafting into her nostrils as she eyes up the young man that stood stunned as he gazed upon the bewitching woman standing still in the middle of the hall, her pale visage standing out in the darkness as a sinister red glow sparks in her eyes as she beckons him forward with an entrancing crook of her index finger.

A single look was all it took to have him in the palm of her hands…

Like a groom walking down the aisle to meet his bride to be, the man slowly makes his way towards the alluring woman in traditional Japanese wedding attire, her oriental features and perfect body egging him on each step until he stands before her, gazing into her wondrous eyes…

Except the irony was the fact that beneath the pale white kimono and cowl meant to symbolize the purity of the wearer, the man had no clue about the lustful vixen struggling to not pounce on him immediately. After all, how could he when she had such an innocent smile on her pretty face?

With her prey in arms reach, the kitsune gently presses her palm against his chest, giggling at how easily he falls over as she straddles him, suggestively nudging her exposed groin against the tent that had pitched itself between the man's legs as she leans in close, breathing heavily down his ears and only getting more turned with how she could feel the man’s member pulse against the entrance to her womb, as if struggling to free itself of the jeans that held it prisoner in an attempt to jam itself into her pussy.

“You must be feeling oh so cold~ But don’t worry, let me…take care of you~”

If he could last long enough to satiate the hunger that had been burning within Shirohime for over two millennia, then she would definitely keep him around as her chosen mate, but in the off chance he ever dropped out before she had her fill…well, Taro could have the leftovers once she was done with him for being such a good boy...
