It was a hot summer day, and two coworkers were sweating it out. Cole, trying his best to stay in the shade, and Shelby, who was lounging around in the grass. Shelby didn’t really seem to care about modesty and took her shoes off, wanting to feel the grass between her toes. Cole, however, was unhappy with this. He resented how little his coworker was working. It was hot, it was loud, and he had to do all the talking. At least he could take a sneaky picture of those beautiful feet.

Shelby had teased Cole so many times by taking her shoes off on drives, wiggling her toes on the dashboard and flashing her soles when she crossed her legs. Cole wanted nothing more than to take those feet from her, put them on a plaque, and kiss them. Shelby was also an awful person, so her feet needed to be separated somehow.

Cole had a plan. He’d ordered a special knife, easy to slice right through skin and bone, and able to trap the consciousness of the target into whatever was cut off. He watched his coworker’s feet, wiggling in the grass. She was distracted, and their customers had just left. No one was around… so he made his move.

Without a sound, he severed the coworker’s feet, the toes wiggling in surprise, her soles flexing wildly. He snuck the unconscious body into the work van, packed the feet up in his bag, and left. Those feet wiggled beautifully the whole way home. He wasn’t sure what he’d do with the rest of Shelby, but he knew exactly what he’d do with his trophies.

It took him a couple days, but he had a trophy plaque. Embossed on the wood was the word “Shelby”… though the feet rarely stayed on the plaque. The feet were in Cole’s lap, pushing against his body, rubbing their toes all over. Sometimes they were on his face, and he would push his tongue to explore those soles for the umpteenth time.

Eventually, Shelby would lose herself. She was feet… and she wouldn’t be anything else. She was complacent, and knew all of Cole’s ticks. She knew how to please him, and he loved her for it. At least, he loved the feet. His former coworker. His new toy.
