This is a tangent of my Rubberta Universe, meaning that it has a character from that universe but this story probably doesn't happen in universe.
(Dr.) A. Nonie Mous is a character I've worked with before. I am in the process of creating her and giving her life. I don't like her, so I don't use her much. So, if you don't like her, too, you are in good company. Dr. Mous leaves a wake of destruction. It's not pretty. These two managed to survive her.
This was a story that just sprang up and wouldn't let go (along with several others). In fact it pushed the one I was working on to the side. I'll be getting back to that one.
There's more to their story, but I felt that if I kept going I would not finish this month. And that would be no bueno. So, this seemed like a good stopping point so I could get onto other stories.
Oh! And for those of you wondering if they are Nagas or Lamias, the answer is “neither and both.” I did some research and found that, in general, Nagas were seen more as snakes with human heads and scaly flesh when they weren’t changing their shape AND that Lamias were human torsos with snake tails, who hunted and ate kids. I kinda liked the Lamia without the canabalism, I also kinda liked the armless bit from the Nagas. Soooooo, I took my cues from CrossWorlds and allowed there to be even limbed snake people things and if they have no arms then they can use magic to be their arms.
