CWJ stands for Creative Writing Journal. Sometimes where I work, we have a Creative Writing Drill. Sometimes our writing cue is a thing like, "Best Vacation Ever." Other times, we bring out a flip chart that gives us a random setting, character, and plot.<br /><br />This time the cue was:<br /><b>Setting:</b> An old, spooky house<br /><b>Character:</b> a friendly monster<br /><b>Plot:</b> a character causes problems<br /><p><br />This one was written in about two to three hours (over several days).<br /><br />And for the perceptive readers out there, I apologize that some of my niece's TV content (that I "had" to watch with her) snuck into this story. It started out accidentally and then snowballed from there.<br /></p>
