TG Race Week 3 Day 5c
“For Truth! Justice! and a bit of rest?”

Having released the tiny racer, the pair gaze up through the sun roof watching her disappear into the darkness above. They close the sunroof. Doc turns to her, "Ready to go?"

She opens her mouth to answer, but a knock on their passenger door stops her. "Who could that be," she wonders aloud, "Isn't there just water out there?"

They open the door and find, "Vince. What are you doing here?"

The shape shifter drags himself in, "Was hoping to talk. Besides, traveling through that storm of Dorothy's was exhausting."

They back up eyeing him speculatively, "Just to talk," Doc asks, "Or to get us to let our guard down for another attack?"

Vince shuffles his feet with his body slouched taking a couple of steps forward. "Trust me, I don't really feel like attacking currently."

They relax slightly. "Good, because we aren't attacking anymore. And don't want any more attacks."

Vince breathes out, relieved. "Good. I didn't expect to experience an empowered attack from my weakness element in this race."  They watch the foreigner lean against the welded shut side door.

Tracey races to his side chest heaving with each hurried step. "Are you ok?"

He looks up with half closed eyes, "Just tired. Had to transform two levels just to survive that blasted storm."

Doc looks concerned, "Transform? That must have taken a lot out of you. No wonder you're tired. Would you like to rest?"

Tracey quickly adds, "We aren't going anywhere yet."

"Unfortunately we don't have much in the way of accommodations," the inventor continues.

"Anything's fine at this point," the man says with a weak smile.

Doc looks to Tracey who looks back to him. "I guess there is as good as anywhere."

Vince slides down on the wall as he sits where they specified. "And I see you've been hit by another of my mines."

Doc looks confused. Tracey explains to him, "Vince has this thing where he can tell when we have his magic in us. In between races he said you still had some while you were still in the van." He nods in confused understanding. Tracey continues while turning to their guest, "Yeah, one of mines came out of the blue just before we got here."

"I didn't consider the fact that one of the mines was similar to how one of the racers already was."

Tracey tilts her head to the side, "Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. I mean, apart from these," she gestures to her revealing clothes, "And these," she adds motioning to her excessive assets, "and this," she looks to her newly excited toes with a glare, "it was a complete match to me."

"Yeah. Essentially, the mine was designed to make the individual a buxom scantily clad tomboy, while also making them quite..... well, let's just say bouncy," he says through almost closed eyes.

"Yeah, I'm getting that. It's all I can do to Doc's eyes in his sockets." Doc blushes slightly.

Vince laughs out loud at that, "Seems you have a good amount of control of your bouncing though.”

"When you grow up with as many brothers as I did, you learn to do just about anything. I had to hold back my pain and injuries if I wanted to play with them. This is just a variation of that."

He chuckles, "True enough."

"Well, I guess it a relief that you had that planned for someone else but I got it. It's nice to be ... well mostly be myself again."

Vince’s eyes open and he grins while sitting up slightly, leaning his arm on his knee, "Glad to be of assistance. You two have been doing extremely well in these races, it seems."

They look confused. Tracey looks to Doc, "We are?"

He shrugs and looks back, "I don't see how. We almost always come in last or nearly so."

"It's not the placing that matters. It's the journey through the race that matters."

The inventor scratches the back of his head, "Well, we have been getting to test out my inventions and that's why we signed up for this."

His assistant adds, "I guess that's success enough."

"True enough." Vince lets out a yawn. "Well, I guess I'd better get to resting. Thanks for letting me stay, by the way."

Doc and Tracey busy themselves while their visitor curls up and gets as comfortable as one can against a wall and floor. Several hours later the form begins to stir.

"Uuuwaaah!!!" Vince wakes up with a tired stretch, "That felt great." He rubs his eyes as he gets up.

Tracey stops by him. Her sudden halt causes her to flip up briefly. Her toes take the hint continuing the bounce. She snarls at her body in frustration, "Urg!" Then she turns to Vince, "This," she says using both hands running down her body, "is your trap. Could you do something about this?"

Vince smiles with a grin. "Sure...." and after a moment of standing there, "That should do it."

Tracey wonders what he changed. Clothes ... the same. Chest ... the same. What did he change? Her face contorts while she tries to figure out what he did. Did he do anything? She wonders. She tilts her head, "You didn't do anything."

Vince smiles. Tracey suspects that he is enjoying this. He merely states, "Think about what the effects of the mine were. You'll notice what I did."

She wanders off in contemplation. Doc takes her place, "Sir, since you seem to be in fine spirits, would you mind removing these?" He looks over his shoulder at his feathered appendages, "I haven't had time to enter the Reversal Chamber."

Vince looks at him, slightly confused, "You really want them gotten rid of?"

Doc swirls his mouth around in consideration, but then it stops in determination, "Yes. They were quite useful and handy, however they are not me. Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather be the way I was."

Vince shrugs, "Very well. Doc minus angel wings, comin' up." He raises his hand at the scientist and drains the magic into him, grinning. Tracey watches the magic user’s shoulders straighten as he stands taller.

Doc feels the tingle and turns around to see for sure that they are gone. He stops facing Tracey. She looks to him, "Doc! You are back to normal!" She bounds up and throws her arms around him. Just as suddenly, she drops away looking at herself in amazement. "The bounce is gone!" She looks at Vince with gratitude and then rushes him. She surrounds him in a bear hug, "Thank you so much! I can concentrate on other things now."

Vince smiles with a slight blush, "You're welcome, Tracey. You still have the bust increase, but, lesser of two evils, I take it?"

"Yes. This," she holds up the mammoth mounds under the shirt while releasing Vince, "I can handle. That excitable jiggle was downright annoying."

Vince laughs at that, "Well, each mine tends to hinder a racer to some extent, though what extent they do hinder varies."

"I see." A small far off explosion is heard. Doc looks up sharply.

"Hmm.... Seems Ed encountered some trouble. His life force just weakened minimally when that explosion occurred."

Tracey wipes her brow, "Whew! I thought that was the real thing."

"Indeed," Doc concurs. The van begins to rock back and forth as the waves ripple beneath them.

"Oh, I wouldn't be so relieved yet. I can feel the heat from the volcano intensifying with my magic. It won't be too long."

Rocks begin to splash around them. rrrrrrRRRRRRUUUUMMMMMBBBLLLLEEEEEEEE!

"Aw crud."

"And that would be our cue...... Odd. I feel some odd magic mixing in with the lava. Someone must have added some bombs to the mix to speed up the volcano's eruption. Guess that's my cue to leave. See you guys at the finish line." They watch Vince charge towards the wall, hitting the wall, and going through it.

The pair of racers look in amazement only for a moment as they need to get going, too. And just as suddenly as the volcano started, it slows and stops.

Doc and Tracey look to each. "I guess that was a false alarm."

"But I don't want to hang here any longer," she finishes.

"Let's go!"
