TG Race Week 2 Day 2b
“Doing the Robot”

“Good bye! Thanks for helping us land,” Tracey calls out as the Rikki and her family take off in the Skunk Wing. “Now to get this window fixed. Doc, Could you get me some rubber?”

Doctor Cod exits the van with a vial and an embarrassed face. He is wearing a maid’s outfit on his male frame and it doesn’t fit well. “We need to get some more clothes.”

“Well, we do have the extra pair, but we’re in the desert. There’s no clothes stores around.”

“I believe I will change.”

“I’ll fix the window.” A light breeze blows into her dress. She looks back there and notices the hole where the tail had been. “Maybe I will as well.”

She pours some rubber bots on the GlasSteel and puts it back into place. After he is done looking normal again, Tracey steps into the back and exchanges her dress for a pair of tan cargo pants and a white T-shirt she got from her brother that says, “My other car is in the shop.” The car starts up and Tracey sits in the back.

After a while a small dust cloud is in front of them. Doc presses the button to the back, “I believe we are headed into a dust storm.”

“No, it’s too small for that.” Doc adjusts the trajectory and they spot a large robot running across the sand. “I don’t recognize that one. They must have arrived at the start line.” She pauses. “I’ve got an idea.”

While focusing on the road or lack of one, Doc hears her get into the cabinet and then open the Sun roof. He hears a bang on the roof and then silence. “How fast are we going?”

“95 miles per hour. No, 94.”

POP! WiiiiiiIIIIiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Doc sees the robot get stuck in the back by a magnetized suction cup. The van jerks slightly as they pass followed by a SSSSSSSssssssssBOOM!

WiiiiiiiiIIIIIrrRrrRRRRR! The roof closes allowing them to speak in normal voices, “Very well, Tracey, what did we do to that opponent?”

“Not much. I spun him around and then knocked him on his face with one of my bathtub plug rockets. The sand in the joints will slow him down some.”

“Good show.” They both laugh a little at their little attack.

“So, Doc, where are we?”

“I wish I knew. In the Sahara Desert northeast from where we landed.”

“I hope we hit a city or something soon.” They ride in silence, “You know what we need? A GPS system.”

“Agreed.”

“I can hear it now. ‘Continue on this path for another 100 miles. Continue …’” They both laugh as Tracey returns to the safe room. Doc focuses on the endless sea of sand in front of them.
