TG Race Week 1 Day 3
-Putt. Putt. Putt. Putt.-
Doctor Cod swerves slightly as the speaker near the drivers seat yawns. Im guessing that you are waking up, he says back into the speaker.
Uuuuuuuu, yeah, Im up. The chair back here is not meant for sleeping. I guess I must have fallen asleep leaning on the speaker.
Indeed. I heard everything. It was more interesting than the radio.
Her startled voice returns, Did I talk in my sleep?
He smiles then changes the subject, You mentioned that you didnt have any brothers in car repair but then you said that you do. Toby, I believe you said his name was.
Huh? What? Oh! Doc, Im just waking up. Whats with the complicated questions?
Well, do you or dont you have a brother who is in the mechanical arts?
Oh! Right. Toby wasnt into cars younger. He discovered the joys of engines in college after he left home. I never fixed any cars with him.
I see. He returns to driving.
Back in the room, notices another blip on the radar, Racer, dead ahead.
The doctor looks, Tracey, its a stealth jet on wheels.
She exits the room she just went into carrying a vial, Right. Time for some of MY inventions. She opens the sun roof. First for defense, my Multi-Facetted Fractal Bots. She dumps the vial on the roof. That should make all laser and beam attacks refract a different direction. Well for a day anyway.
Good name.
Thank you. She eyes the streamlined rocket powered ground jet with a critical eye. Seeing no defense activated, Ah! Of course! Ive got the perfect thing. The Plug Pursuer now with rocket propulsion. She steps into the back room and pulls out a bazooka and a rocket with a giant rubber bathtub drain plug attached. She loads the bathtub plug rocket into the bazooka.
She again exits the top, takes aim, and fires. The giant plug plugs the exhaust of the jet slowing it to a stop.
Passing the stalled vehicle, the doctor comments, Look. Now entering Joplin, Missouri.
Heading back to her protective alcove, You think well get to Oklahoma by night fall?
Maybe if we do drive thru instead of sit down.
She shrugs, Or maybe if someone attacks us?
He nods, Indeed.
