TG Race Week 1 Day 1
The eyesore of a Volkswagen Bus joins the line of various vehicles. Tracey talks to the man near her, Well, we arent first, but were not last either.
True. So, who will be the first driver, asks the doctor.
You want to do it?
He meets her gaze, You can.
She shrugs her shoulders, Flip for it?
That should work. They both feel around in their pockets. No coin presents itself.
She pulls out some plastic from her wallet, Ive got a credit card. Would you like to try that?
How about Rock, Paper, Scissors? They both put out their palms.
1. 2. 3. He does rock. She does paper. They both stand there is silence for a moment. Sooooo, does that mean I go to the back or drive?
He thinks for a moment, I dont quite think we determined that. Drive?
Ok. Tracey heads to the front. With a look out the windows and through the side mirrors, Goodbye Chicago. Goodbye Sears Towers. She presses a button on the dash next to a speaker, Hey Doc, the emu thing on the cloud is holding a flag.
Its actually a Skeevo Bird and that must be I-Rugburn. The race is about to start. Engines start and rev around them. Tracey follows suit. The flag comes down. She hits the gas!
The car makes a funny sound and stops dead. Tracey watches the rest of the racers, including that guy hovering in that bubble thing, pass them. Her speaker blares to life, Tracey, whats happening?
The car died. She tries to start it again. Rrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrr, but it doesnt turn over. I think its broken.
Whats wrong with it?
I dont know.
Didnt you work on the engine back at the lab?
No. I dont know anything about car engines, and my brothers werent into vehicle engine repair, either.
He exits the back room, Sigh. I suppose we should find a repair shop.
They hop out and start pushing the four wheeled, multicolored dead thing back into the city. She smiles, lightly amused, Hello again, Chicago.
((Defense against most attacks unless they stop at the start or back track to attack them.))
