“But Mom! I’m going to miss Olivia’s party!” Teagan Reynolds said visibly upset “Why didn’t you ask me before saying I would babysit tonight?”

“Oh, so you thought I was going to say that you could go a party? I had not heard about any party, so why did you think you were going? Were you going to sneak off and go without permission?” Sarah Reynolds asked her daughter.

“No, it’s just…I was going to ask you…but…” Teagan fumbled around saying.

“But it’s too late now. I told Wendy that you would babysit Reese tonight at their house” Sarah said. “I’m not going to be here tonight either; I have to run the concession stand at your brother’s basketball game…lucky for me it’s my night” she rolled her eyes.

“Fine!” Teagan stomped off to her room. She passed her younger brother Max on the stairs.

Teagan was 17 and Max was 12, he usually tried to avoid her when he detected a mood. “I hope your game sucks” she said not even looking at him.

“Whatever” Max mumbled just happy to not get hit.

Teagan tried to slam her door behind her but it wasn’t loud enough to get anyone’s attention. She huffed to herself as she put on a pair of black leggings and an oversized Beatles t-shirt before tying her long brown hair up into a top knot and slipping into a pair of moccasins to walk down the street in.

She grabbed her phone and text everyone she could to let her know what was going on at the party. She got some sympathy back from her friends but not much.

Walking up to the Yates household, Teagan was met by Wendy and her 12 year old son Grayson who was friends and teammates with her brother Max.

“I’m sure your Mom mentioned that we’re both on concession stand duty tonight” Wendy said. “I left 30 bucks on the counter for pizza, make sure she’s in bed by 9, the boys are having a sleepover at Austin’s house so the Moms are meeting over there too for our own little end of the season get together”

“Just text me that you’re on your way home so if I’ve fallen asleep I can be awake when you come in” Teagan asked politely.

“No problem” Wendy laughed “Reese is inside watching a movie”

Teagan went inside “Rrrreeeeeeeessssssseeeeeee” she called out in the way she always greeted her.

“Teagan!” The very tiny 7 year old hopped off the couch and ran over to give her babysitter a hug. She was blonde with big blue eyes but was still a few inches shy of 4 feet tall and couldn’t weigh more than 45 pounds. She looked closer to Kindergarten than her current position in second grade.

Teagan knew her brother picked on her mercilessly so she always tried to include her and fuss over whenever she got a chance. “I see you lost yet another tooth!”

Reese smiled wide baring her gap now that she was missing both of her front teeth “Two days ago!” she said spinning around making her thin little ponytail fly around.

“Well it looks like it’s just the two of us tonight” Teagan said.

“You don’t seem very happy” Reese said.

Teagan slipped her feet out of her moccasins and gave a sly smile “You’re very observant kiddo” she said. "Yeah…it’s not that I don’t like spending time with you it’s just that I’m missing this really big party tonight and I really wanted to go”

Reese smiled looking way up to her very tall babysitter, Teagan was 5’9” “Sorry you can’t go; I wish there was a way you could”

“Yeah, you and me both kiddo but I’m responsible for you now tonight and I really can’t just bring a 7 year old to a high school party” Teagan said.

“I love parties!” Reese said spinning again “I wish I could go!” she bit her lip thinking “OOOOOO! It would be like Cinderella! I could go in disguise to the party and as long as we make it back her before midnight everything would be okay”

“Oh really?” Teagan said sitting down before the excitable child.

“Yeah…like a spell would turn me into your age and then we could both go! You’d still be watching me but I’d be in disguise like Cinderella was”

“And let me guess, at midnight you’d turn back into a little kid again” Teagan said smiling.

Reese just nodded enthusiastically.

“Now we just need a Fairy Godmother” Teagan added.

Reese ran to her room and came back with her magic fairy wand from her vacation at Disney World. She handed it to Teagan.

Teagan smiled and gave it a flourish “Take ten years over to you Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!” she sang. “Take ‘em from wherever and give ‘em to you Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!”

Reese laughed at the silly song that her babysitter had made up.

Her stomach flipped on her causing her to jump a bit “Oh!” she said, were eyes suddenly wide. She heard popping and fizzing noises and she looked around trying to find where they were coming from.

“What’s up with you little Miss?” Teagan said seeing the confusion on Reese’s face.

“I don’t know Teagan…I feel kind of funny” she rubbed her stomach.

Another wave of confusion crossed Reese’s face and she slowly parted her lips baring her teeth “Ungh…it itches”

“What the…Whoa!” Teagan said jumping up off the sofa. She rushed over and put her fingers up to Reese’s mouth, pulling her lips back even farther. Teagan’s jaw dropped as Reese’s two front teeth grew in to full size in a matter of seconds.

Reese pulled back and ran her tongue over her teeth, her eyes widening the whole time. She ran out of the room to the bathroom where she stepped onto her step stool to look in the mirror.

Reese used a small step up to brush her teeth and look in the mirror since she was too short to do it effectively without one.

Teagan followed close behind and stepped in as Reese leaned forward checking out her teeth. “That’s not normal” was all Teagan said.

Reese turned around. On her stool she came up Teagan’s shoulders where without it, it was more like the middle of her chest “But why did that happen?” she asked as she stepped down.

“I don’t know…I honestly…don’t…” Teagan eyed Reese up and down. Reese was almost at her chin. She had watched her step down, she looked down but now, she wasn’t looking down as far.

Looking at the ground cemented the fact that she had stepped off. Reese’s bare feet were on the shaggy bathroom rug. Her bigger feet.

Her longer legs.

Her tight pants that were rising up her legs…

Her shirt was coming apart from the top of her pants exposing her stomach.

Her sleeves were riding up her arms.

Teagan blinked uncomprehending.

Reese stepped off and felt the rug tickling the bottoms of her feet. It felt almost as if her feet were sliding around on top of it and the heavy knots of fabric were moving against the soles of her feet. She dug her toes in.

She shifted her legs, her pants were feeling tight and pinching her along her thighs. But as soon as she thought about that, she noticed her shirt felt small.

Reese looked down and saw her shirt sleeves riding up her arms, away from her wrists, it looked like her arms were growing longer.

She felt cool air on her belly and she looked to her babysitter for an explanation. “Teagan?” she managed to say before even that seemed wrong to her. Her voice sounded funny and something else was wrong, Teagan wasn’t so high up anymore.

“What the heck…?” Teagan stared wide eyed as Reese seemed to grow not only bigger but somehow, older right before her eyes.

“I don’t feel right…my clothes are getting tight” Reese said squirming.

“Take them off!” Teagan said finally breaking her paralysis. She reached for Reese’s shirt while Reese tried to get her pants off.

It was a moment too late. Ripping was heard as Reese’s stretch pants couldn’t stretch any further. They tore out on the insides and she could clearly see her growing legs.

The waistband went next, popping in several places.

Reese slouched as her shirt tore across her back and long the seams of her arms. She dropped her arms to her sides and straightened back up again.

“You…you need to look at yourself in the mirror honey” Teagan said in a shaky voice. She saw the changes to Reese’s face and body. She couldn’t believe it but Reese was growing up all at once.

Reese spun towards the mirror. She gasped in surprise seeing the face of a young teen looking back at her “How…how old am I?” she asked confused.

“You look like you’re about 12 or 13” Teagan said just before they both looked at Reese’s chest.

“Ah!” Reese screamed as her tattered shirt began lifting up around two growing mounds.

“Whoa! Holy fucking shit!” Teagan said doing a little nervous tap dance.

Reese’s rear flared out creating new tears in her pants. Her hips did even more damage as they too widened. Her thighs filled out, her calves developed distinct curves and even her feet looked different; wider and longer with longer toes.

Now just a few inches shorter than Teagan, Reese stopped at 5’5”. She flexed her hands as her fingers grew out all while watching her face continued to mature. Her features aged up through her early teens, refining and sharpening. Her blue eyes widened, her cheeks lost their chubbiness to reflect high cheekbones and a sleek look. Her nose was small atop full lips as she came to a stop at 17 years of age.

“Oh my God” she said in a full, developed voice “It worked!”

“What worked?” Teagan shot back.

“Your spell! It really worked! I don’t know how you did it but you flashed the wand and said give me 10 years and you did it!” Reese jumped over and hugged Teagan as tight as she could, even managing to lift her off the ground a few inches. “Now we can both go to the party!”

It hit Teagan like a ton of bricks “Holy Shit you’re right!”

“This is so amazing!” Reese jumped up and down “I get to go to the ball just like Cinderella!”

“But…how are we going to get you back down?” Teagan asked biting her lower lip.

“That’s easy! At midnight…or like, whenever we get home from the party. I mean, my Mom is texting you when she’s getting ready to leave right? We come back and you just do the wand thing again and say a few lines and then poof! I’m back to my own age and nobody is the wiser!” Reese said.

“If it worked this way then I guess I have to believe it’ll work in reverse” Teagan said.

Reese looked down at her ridiculously torn clothes “Guess it wasn’t a full Cinderella treatment…I’m still wearing rags”

“We can sneak back over to my house and find something for both of us to wear to the party. I can do your hair and make-up too!” Teagan said excitedly.

Reese ran out of the room slamming her shoulder against the doorframe as she went “OW! I never hit that before” she said rubbing her arm.

“You’re like a foot and half taller than you used to be Reese and you like tripled your weight!” Teagan yelled after her as she saw Reese heading to her room.

“Oh my God! I’m Ginormous!” she laughed “Look at how tiny my room looks”

She spun around her little girl room smiling and laughing as Teagan grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her out “You need to steal some of your Mom’s clothes”

“Oh yeah…good idea!” Reese said heading into her Mom’s bedroom giggling.

Teagan heard drawers opening and slamming shut before Reese emerged in a pair of yoga pants and a plain loose black top. “Good enough…let’s go! Time’s wasting!”

The two emerged from the Yates house cautiously. They looked around and then took off running back to the Reynolds house up the street.

“My boobs are slapping and bouncing around!” Reese said slapping and arm across her chest.

“Why didn’t you put on one of your Mom’s bras?” Teagan asked.

“I didn’t know I needed one!” Reese said back “I get it now!”

“You really do have a lot to learn about being 17” Teagan said rolling her eyes and being slightly out of breath as they went inside her house.

“I’ll catch on…I think somethings are coming to me but there’s like, a learning curve” Reese admitted.

They went straight up to Teagan’s room “Start looking around” she said opening her closet doors. “But…” she grabbed a skintight bright blue mini dress “This is mine!”

Teagan went to her knees to start going through shoes. She pulled out a pair of blue wedge heels that matched the dress perfectly.

As Reese flipped through clothes, she felt Teagan’s hand around her calf and then her right foot went up “What are you doing?”

“Seeing what size shoe you are” came Teagan’s response as she slipped a black heel on Reese’s foot “That’s pretty close…like you’re a size smaller than me but it’ll do!”

Reese picked out a black sleeveless top that plunged down in front along with a pair of super tight white shorts. Teagan saw her choices and pulled out a pair of black 3” strappy heels that would match perfectly.

Reese squealed in delight.

“Can I try my own make-up…I’ve just got a feeling that I can do it” Reese said.

“Are you sure Reese? I don’t want you painting it on and looking like a clown” Teagan said.

“No…I really think I can do it”

“Fine. I’ll do your hair and watch you while you do it okay” Teagan said.

“Deal!”

They went to the bathroom where Teagan braided Reese’s long blond hair into a plait “Wow…you really can do it. It’s subtle and effective” Teagan admitted watching Reese’s ability and confidence grow.

“Thanks! I can work on your hair while you do yours” Reese said.

“I’m just going to do a high ponytail” Teagan said brushing her hair “Go get dressed!”

As Teagan put the finishing touches on her lips she heard heels coming her way “How do I look?”

Teagan turned and her jaw dropped “Like a fucking smoke show!”

Reese was gorgeous. The top showed off her natural cleavage, the shorts hugged her ass and hips and trim athletic legs which were in turn helped out by the heels which she had apparently already mastered walking in.

“I feel like a Princess” Reese said softly.

“This is your night and your Ball Princess” Teagan said giving her a small curtsy as she went to go get dressed herself.

Reese watched patiently from the door until she needed to come over and help zip up Teagan’s dress.

“Knew I should have taken the car in the first place” Teagan said grabbing her car keys after lacing up the ankle straps of her wedges.

A small purse with makeup was all she took with her as they headed to the party. She did toss her casual clothes in a bag and take those along in the car for later.

“I’m going to introduce you as my cousin from out of town” Teagan said as they parked on the street a few houses away from Olivia’s.

“Perfect!” Reese chirped in reply “I’m like, super nervous”

“Don’t be…this is perfect for you. You get to just come in and have a good time and then vanish haha!” Teagan said. “You don’t have to impress anyone or worry about dealing with these people in school again come Monday”

“True haha” Reese said, a big smile on her face as they walked up.

“Holy shit! No Way! I thought you had to babysit, how did you manage to get out of it?” Teagan saw her friend Emme who came over and hugged her while squealing.

“They got somebody else” was all she said “This is my cousin Reese! She’s in from out of town but she’s 17 too so I thought I’d show her how we party in our town”

“Hi! Nice to meet you!” Emme said “Where are you from?”

“Houston” Reese immediately said.

“Wow that’s far!” Emme said as more friends came around and were introduced.

“My Dad and Teagan’s Mom are siblings. My Dad had to come back for some stuff…I tagged along” she shrugged like any teenager would “I had to borrow Tea’s clothes though! I didn’t pack anything nice”

“Luckily Teagan has awesome clothes!” another girl pipped up.

“I know right?!” Reese did a little twirl. She looked to the right and saw a couple of guys huddled together checking her out. She blushed but also smiled at them.

“OMG! You’ve already caught Matt and Eric’s eyes…” Teagan teased pushing her playfully in the arm.

“Is that a bad thing?” Reese asked playing innocent but the look in her eye said something else.

“You really are growing up aren’t you?” Teagan whispered to her.

Reese just nodded and blushed “Let’s just say I’m really feeling like a 17 year old” she laughed and smiled.

Music was blaring and both Reese and Teagan started dancing. Reese was a natural and moved her body like a teen and not like a kid would. Soon a dozen girls were all dancing together and singing at the top of their lungs; Reese knew all the words to all the songs.

“I’m going to feel bad turning her back into a kid” Teagan thought to herself as they went to find the food and drinks “She’s really good at this”

As they snacked and drank, just ice tea, neither thought it would be cool if they were found with alcohol on their breath even though there was some floating around the party, they talked endlessly.

As they were talking, Reese felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and found herself in front of a guy, a cute guy, a really cute guy. “Hey” he said simply.

“Hey” she replied with a smile.

“I’ve never seen you around before”

“Oh…yeah, I’m Teagan’s cousin. I’m from Houston…you know…just in town for a few days” Reese said.

“Oh cool…cool…I’ve always wanted to visit Texas”

“I’m Reese by the way” Reese said.

“Oh! I’m Matt!”

“Nice to meet you Matt” Reese said smiling still.

“So, um…” Matt said and ran his hand though his hair.

“Do you want to dance?” Reese asked him.

“Yeah…that’s what I was going to ask you” Matt laughed and blushed, clearly nervous.

Teagan hid her surprise but was squealing to herself as she watched Matt and Reese head out together.

“Wow, your cousin doesn’t miss anything” Emme said “She’s pretty cool”

“Well I think so” Teagan laughed never taking her eyes off the two of them.

Matt couldn’t dance but he really enjoyed watching Reese dance up close.

Reese was really getting better as the night went on; her dancing became bolder, a bit more provocative as she did some deep bends and leans forward having really mastered dancing in 3” heels.

“And she’s like, the best dancer here” Emme told Teagan.

“Yeah, I actually don’t know where she learned to dance like that” Teagan said.

Time flew by and before they knew it, it was almost 11:30.

Teagan made her way over to Reese “I think it’s time to go!” she yelled over the music.

“Awwww! I’m still having fun” Reese whined.

“It’s almost midnight Cinderella” Teagan said getting in real close.

Reese’s eyes widened “Oh…okay” she said sadly. She went up to Matt “Hey I’ve got to get going but I want to thank you for asking me to dance”

“I really had a great time tonight Reese. I really hope I can see you again or we can keep in touch on like Discord or Instagram or Snapchat or whatever” he said.

“I’ll look you up” she said. Then, with her heart pounding in her chest, she made the decision of her life so far. She leaned over and kissed Matt full on the lips.

Matt was shocked at first but after that initial jolt; he kissed her back. A long, slow, rather passionate kiss that went on for a nice long time.

“See ya!” she said with a wink and a little wave as Teagan pulled her away.

Running in little steps due to her aching feet in her heels, Reese stopped just outside the door “This Cinderella will take off her own damn shoes” she said unzipping them down the backs and taking her feet out. She grabbed them and ran barefoot to the car laughing the whole way with Teagan.

“We did it!” Reese yelled once inside the car.

“You did so great! You were amazing!” Teagan said.

“I had sooooooooooo much fun!”

“I bet you did haha…was it everything you thought it would be?” Teagan asked as they drove away.

“Everything and so much more! I loved every second of it” Reese admitted “I know I have to go back to being 7…”

“But think of it this way; you know what it’s going to be like and you know you’re going to be smoking hot!” Teagan said.

“True…I am kinda cute haha” Reese said flexing out her aching toes.

“You’ve done so awesome tonight; absolutely no one would ever even think that you’re actually just a kid in a grown up body” Teagan said.

“As the night has gone on, I’ve felt myself still changing” Reese admitted “My emotions and thoughts have all aged up to match my body. I mean, right now, I know I’m actually 17. It wasn’t like that to start out…I was totally still a kid when I first grew but after a few hours I…well, just look at me and Matt” she blushed. “7 year old me still thinks boys are yucky haha”

They pulled in at Reese’s house and just as Teagan was getting her bag with her clothes in it out, her phone went off “Shit…that’s your Mom…she’s on her way home”

Reese ran inside undoing her hair and heading to the bathroom to wash off her makeup. Teagan joined her and both scrubbed their faces clean.

“We need to get going” Reese said “You might as well just change me and I can just shrink out of the dress”

Teagan ran to the living room and picked up the wand.

Panicking a bit trying to think up a rhyme, Teagan bit her lower lip and furrowed her brow “Shit this isn’t as easy as it seems!”

“Come on Tea…you got this!” Reese said encouringly.

“Okay…okay…um” she picked up the wand and gave it a flourishing wave.

“Take the 10 years from me to you Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!”

“Take them away and make them all new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!”

“That should work” Reese said.

“I hope it works” Teagan added.

Reese squinted her eyes down anticipating the inevitable drop. She realized after about 10 seconds that she was also holding her breath. “I don’t feel anything” she said now looking around. Her voice sounding very worried.

“Um” Teagan stammered. Her stomach was flipping and it felt like it had risen up into her throat.

In the next split second, everything went wrong.

Teagan’s vision blurred and she felt both dizzy and nauseous at once. When her vision cleared, she was standing eye to eye with the 5’5” Reese.

Reese’s jaw dropped in shock.

Teagan’s tight blue mini dress looked loose around her chest and across her hips. Her legs looked skinnier in the dress as well.

Teagan slapped at her body and dress just as it hit her “Oh NO! Oh Shit!” She stumbled and grabbed for the wand. The strap over her right shoulder slipped off as she bent and reached for the object on the ground. “It’s too late…it’s…oh no…” she muttered even as she did.

She looked at Reese, looked up at Reese who was now taller than her. Acne broke out across Teagan’s face as her cheeks rose up higher and her nose shrank back smaller.

“No! No! No!” she stomped her foot in frustration as her chest shrank back to nearly nothing and her ass flattened. “I’m not supposed to be the little kid!”

“Oh My God” Reese was only able to say. She was frozen in place watching her babysitter shrink down and grow younger by the second. Where a confident 17 year old had stood, now a girl who could barely pass for 12 stomped her feet in an oversized dress.

Her brown hair came out of her ponytail raggedly, her brown eyes looked larger on her shrinking face as her eyebrows and lashes thinned out.

Teagan’s earrings popped out as she passed back to an age before she had pierced ears. The gold hoops clanging against the floor as her hands went to her ears rubbing the lobes.

Her hands shrank down, her feet shrank down, both looking pudgier and immature as her legs lost all semblance of curves.

Reese towered over Teagan. She bent to look down on her, her long blonde hair falling down as she bent forward to put her hands atop Teagan’s small but shaking shoulders.

The dress gave up and slipped down to the floor pooling at her feet which showed off that she was now a very small and still shrinking.

Teagan’s lips thinned and her chin and jaw pulled out. With a final shudder she shrank down to just 4’2” while weighing just 48 pounds. A few teeth reverted back to baby teeth while gaps and a few adult ones remained.

Both Reese and Teagan were in absolute shock.

“You…you’re little like I was” Reese said.

“No! This isn’t supposed to happen to me…our Moms are gonna freak out when they see us! I’ve gotta fix this!” Teagan said looking all around frantically.

Reese took a step back and looking down the hall saw some things looking different than before.

“Where are you going?!” Teagan whined, she picked up the wand and it looked huge in her hand.

“Um…my room…” Reese said going to her doorway and stopping cold. “Oh my God” she stated flatly.

“What?!” Teagan shuffled down the hall picking up and holding her dress to cover her chest. It also covered most of her legs and dragged on the floor.

Reese took a step inside “This isn’t…this doesn’t look like my room…this looks like the room of a…”

Teagan got to the door and her jaw dropped once again. “No! This isn’t…”

Reese saw the room of an obvious teenager where her room had been decorated like any 7 year old’s room. Butterflies and flowers on the wall had been replaced with simple light green paint and a plain gray comforter on a double bed. A laptop and a phone sat next to a pile of high school books and clothes were scattered everywhere. Perfumes and lotions and Noxzema sat atop the dresser along with nail polishes and makeup.

The only thing out of place was a bag with Moana on it on the floor next to the door where Teagan had placed her black bag with her clothes in it.

Scrawled on the nametag in childish writing stated ‘Teagan Reynolds’ and inside were a pair of pjs with Elsa and Anna on them and several toys.

“I think these are for you” Reese said more than a bit amazed at their reversal.

“But…” Teagan began to tear up just as they heard cars in the driveway. 2 cars and 4 doors closing.

“Shit!” Reese said jumping forward and taking off her black top and tight white shorts as fast as possible. She threw on the first pair of sweat pants and t-shirt she found on her floor as she pulled her hair up into a messy top knot.

Teagan panicked as well but jumped into the girls’ size 8 pjs that she found in the bag discovering that they fit her tiny body perfectly.

“We’re home girls!” they heard Reese’s Mom Wendy yell out.

Their eyes were wide and they were afraid to speak. They heard footsteps on the stairs

“Is Teagan asleep?” they heard Sarah, Teagan’s Mom call out softly.

Still frozen and wide eyed, they saw Sarah reach the top of the stairs and look at them. Reese’s heart pounded against her chest “Haha…nope! I didn’t think so” Sarah smiled. “Was she good for you tonight Reese?”

“What?” Reese said.

“Did Teagan behave herself for you tonight?” Sarah asked coming over and kissing her daughter on top of the head.

“Um, yeah…she was perfect” Reese said.

“You two look like you’re up to something?” Sarah said.

“US! No! I, uh, I thought you might be mad that’s she still up” Reese said trying to sound calm and normal.

“I knew she’d still be up” Sarah said. Teagan just stared, still trying to comprehend why her Mom wasn’t freaking out “She wants to grow up so fast…she just loves when she gets to hang out with you”

Reese laughed nervously “Oh she does huh…well I know when she does grow up, she’s going to be beautiful and probably a better babysitter than I ever could be”

“I’m so sorry you missed that party tonight. I hear it was the event to be at” Sarah said handing over several bills “I added a little bit extra in since you missed it”

“Oh…thank you, it’s fine though” Reese said waving her off.

“Come on twerp face! Let’s go! Teagan’s heart dropped hearing what was now her big brother Max’s voice “Get your stupid little dolls packed up and let’s go home!”

“Max! Be quiet and be nice to your little sister” Sarah yelled back. She smiled down at Teagan “You ready to go?”

Teagan just nodded as Sarah picked up her bag and went down the stairs followed closely by both girls.

“Pretty quiet night?” Wendy asked her daughter.

Reese nodded “Mmm-hmm”

Grayson averted his eyes as she came close. Now taller and older than her little brother gave her a pure rush of adrenaline. She could sense his fear of her as he said goodbye to his friend.

“Say Thank You to Reese” Sarah prodded Teagan as they went to leave.

“Thanks” Teagan said softly.

“No…Thank You” Reese replied.
