“Happy Birthday Honey” Ryan Vinson told his fiancée Danielle as he woke her up with a kiss.

“Mmm….Thanks” she said waking up. She opened her eyes, blinking hard against the light.

“25…your rental car fees go down today” Ryan joked.

“Yeah…such a monumental day” she chuckled as she stretched out her legs in bed. She glanced at Ryan as he got dressed and ready. He had to be out before her on a daily basis but he always made sure she was up and moving before he left.

“Don’t forget we have reservations tonight at Blackbird” Ryan said.

“How could I forget?” Dani responded swinging her legs out from under the covers and stood up. She stretched again taking in her favorite sight, the view of Downtown Chicago from their apartment window. “I’m going to lunch today with my cousin Faith today; she’s in town at a convention and wanted to get together”

“Awesome” Ryan replied. “You haven’t gotten to see her but what? Once or twice in the last two years since we moved here”

“Yeah, last Christmas was the last time” Dani confirmed. “I’m really looking forward to catching up with her today”

“I know she’s special to you” Ryan said.

“She’s my Godmother, my cousin…she was my babysitter, my driver on my first date…so many memories with her” Dani replied smiling broadly.

“Tell her Hi for me too” Ryan told her as he grabbed his coat. He came over for another kiss “See you tonight; love you”

“Love you too” Dani responded as he left.

Danielle Richards proceeded to get ready. At 25, she was a rising star for one of the biggest advertising agencies in Chicago. She had landed huge contracts in her first two years that people twice her age had never successfully brought in. On the fast track by her hard work and natural charm, Danielle was proud and happy in her life.

She pulled her long brown hair up but left two tendrils coming down to frame her face as she finished her hair and makeup, her big brown doe like eyes being the focal point of her face. She stood 5’6” and was quite thin as she dressed conservatively for the day. Her afternoon meeting was with a Christian company and she wanted to put forth an appropriate look so she dressed in a white blouse with a black knee length skirt, black pumps and a black jacket.

By 11:30, Dani was ready for lunch. She arrived at a small cafe called Oriole where she was scheduled to meet Faith, who was already waiting for her. “Dani!” Faith called out excitedly.

“Faith! Oh My God I’m so happy to see you!” Dani rushed over and the two of them embraced.

“You look so good!” Faith said.

“You too!” Dani replied.

Faith waved her off “Come on…45 year old mother of two…I’m just happy I’ve had a chance to actually read a book on my flight here” she joked.

“How are Zach and Kyra?” Dani asked about Faith’s 2 kids.

“Great…Baseball and Softball season now so it never ends; flute lessons, swim classes, you name it” Faith replied as they both took their seats in their corner booth.

Faith Conway worked for an insurance company in Cincinnati and was in town for a convention. She wore an ankle length tan skirt, tan flats and a loose green top. Her short brown hair came down to just past her ears and she adjusted her glasses over her narrow blue eyes as she adjusted in her seat. Just 5’1”, her feet came off the floor when she sat all the way back in the deep padded booth. But she’d always been short and it didn’t bother her as she crossed her ankles as they hovered above the floor.

They started talking and laughing and catching up with one another, never missing a beat. “Hey, do you remember which birthday it was that your Dad played the video of you at the talent show?” Faith asked.

“Oh” Dani thought for a second “It had to be for my 10^th birthday. That was the only year I did the talent show…my awesome ballet routine!”

“Yeah that’s it!” Faith clapped and laughed “You and your brother had the whole routine down where you were all serious and he kept interrupting you”

“I remember that so clearly” Dani said “Too bad we lost anyway”

Dani sat back and thoughts of her 10^th birthday party came to her, things she hadn’t thought about in a long time when suddenly something popped into her head that made her forehead warm, her throat close up and all the muscles in her body tense up and ache. A vacant look took over her eyes as she was transported back to a time and event that she had totally forgotten about “How could I have forgotten that?” she murmured. “It was real…all of it…it actually happened…my god…”

Faith had been laughing about that old VHS tape memory when suddenly something long ago and far away returned in a flash stopping her cold. She literally went cold as her blood seemed to turn to ice “Oh” she said unable to move, staring over Dani’s shoulder at nothing “Oh God” she mumbled.

Slowly their eyes drew to the other, finally meeting; signs of horror and shock on both of their faces. “You” they both said simultaneously in hushed and subdued voices. Their faces were both pale white as memories and feelings from that day 15 years ago flooded over them.

“We…” Faith began “Oh God…we…did we really…?”

Dani nodded slowly “I remember it all now. How did we forget?”

“We were supposed to forget” Faith countered “Why are we remembering it now though?”

“I don’t know but now I feel like my whole life is somehow a lie” Dani admitted.

Faith nodded “I don’t know about that; you’ve done so well at it”

“That’s kind for you to say, but, I’m living your life; this should be you over here and I should be over there” Dani said breaking the ice a little more.

“What’s the first thing you remember about that day; specifically, what happened once we stepped into your room; just the two of us?” Faith asked.

Dani closed her eyes and concentrated “Honestly it was the drink. I had a Diet Coke and tasting your Sprite surprised me”

“Yeah, that’s when it all started wasn’t it” Faith said. “I do remember what was going through my mind right before that sip though; and that was how I wished I could switch places with you” she paused “You were an adult, a grown up with a job and a boyfriend and I was just a dopey little 10 year old girl. You were cool to me; I looked up to you”

“And I was thinking the exact same thing but in the opposite way” Dani admitted “I wanted to be a carefree kid again just like you; I wished that I could switch places with you and be 10 again because you were so fun and had so much energy”

“But we were talking about your room and you sat down on my bed” Faith said “And the next thing I remember; I started growing”

“I remember the look of shock on your tiny little face. You made this perfect O with your mouth, your eyebrows shot up and your eyes bugged out” Dani recalled “And then you said ‘Faith’, in this really shaky voice ‘I don’t feel right’”

“Well I didn’t feel right” Faith said “I felt like I was getting pulled; lifted up but my feet wouldn’t leave the ground…and my shorts got tight right away around my waist”

“I didn’t know what you were talking about but if you remember, I was sitting kind of sideways on the bed with my one leg up and out in front of me straight and the other one planted on the ground and when I saw my foot twitch and then my leg started to shrink, I started to freak out too” Dani said. “I mean, as you know very well know, my thighs are not small and to see them start just, you know, thinning while my already short leg got shorter and my foot starting shrinking too”

“You were wearing those brown leather sandals I remember” Faith said.

“My heel was on the bed and I just watched my toes drop steadily down from being all above the first strap to getting covered up by the strap then coming back into view below the strap but by then, my toes were your toes. They were smaller but longer and skinnier and my nails went from being painted maroon to being painted orange and I recall thinking how small and thin they looked” Dani said shaking her head.  “They eventually grew back to the same size though; we both wear a size 8”

“That was when you stood up” Faith said “You stood up and you weren’t as tall as you should be. I was growing and you were shrinking but you were still taller than me but I was already starting to get your body. I remember distinctly the feel of my shorts”

“They were black…silky with a hot pink stripe up the sides” Dani said nodding.

“Yep. And they just kept getting tighter on me as my legs grew. My thighs were bulging out and stretching them out and I was looking at the side of my shorts when the seam popped wide open and you said ‘Don’t scream!’”

“I didn’t want everybody running in” Dani said in her defense “What would everyone had said seeing the two of us switching bodies? Besides that seam started the chain reaction in your clothes that tore them almost all off of you anyway”

“I was a 10 year old girl turning into a 30 year old woman! Of course my clothes wouldn’t hold!” Faith said. My shirt just kept getting tighter and tighter across my chest”

“And my clothes were getting loose and barely staying on” Dani said. “I had on that orange sleeveless shirt and denim shorts…”

“Oh I know what you had on; I ended up wearing every single piece of them” Faith said. “You told me to take my shirt off and I just managed to get it off before I got your boobs!”

“I didn’t think you were going to make it; your little shirt got hung up when you got it to your shoulders” Dani said.

“Oh, I remember how tight it was on my head, my ears nearly got ripped off” Fait said.

“You didn’t have my earrings yet did you?” Dani asked.

“No…not yet and it’s a good thing too or they probably would’ve been ripped out” Faith said flicking at her gold hoop earrings mindlessly. “My panties held up though…at least for a little while” She continued. I remember looking down as my shorts fell to the ground. They seemed to fall in slow motion and beyond them I could see my feet growing and changing into yours”

Dani shook her head and thought about it again “That would have been around the time my shorts slipped off me too then. My hips couldn’t hold them up anymore. I remember the feeling of my ass just deflating, like everything back there was just getting sucked in and once my ass and hips gave way; whoops; there went my shorts down into a pile at my skinny little ankles”

“I lifted up my toes once my shorts landed and I saw these dark red nails poking out; my toes looked thick and big and my legs were still growing and changing”

“It took a lot to get my thunder thighs onto your skinny little body” Dani said.

“I wasn’t skinny anymore though. I remember how it felt; my panties stretching getting so tight as I got your hips and ass. I looked down and boom; there they were. I was you from like the waist down and my top half was trying to catch up” Faith said.

“That would have been when you got taller than me too” Dani said.

“I never said anything at the time but I had the weirdest. Weirdest! Feeling in my you know what at that moment” Faith said blushing. “Everything you knew came crashing into me all at once, you know like, boom; hey, you know all about sex all of a sudden and everything is working and awake now!”

“Oh My God” Dani deadpanned and put her hand to her head “I never thought about it but yeah, as I was turning into you, so many things were changing; transferring from me to you and you to me. I guess that childlike wonder I wanted came to me with a side of ignorant bliss. Once it was gone, I forgot about it like I never knew I had it since in your body, I didn’t” Dani said.

“Anyway moving on” Faith said “I looked back up and saw you directly, and I mean directly across from me. We looked to be the same size for a moment but you were looking down and I just knew I got taller than you”

“I looked up. I had been staring at how skinny my legs had become and when I looked up, I had to look up at you” Dani agreed. “I was smaller than you but…I did get taller again in a few years” she laughed.

“I thought going up to 5’1” was a big deal” Faith laughed.

“Well when you’re a kid all adults are big” Dani said.

“That was when your face got this really scared look on it” Faith said “I know it was really hitting me what was happening to us at that point”

“I was turning into a little kid and whatever strength and confidence I had when it started was gone; absolutely gone by then. I just know the rest of the time I was struggling to not scream or cry as I just kept getting smaller and smaller in front of you. You looked so big to me all of a sudden and my mind was all mixed up; was I an adult or a kid?” Dani said. “I felt less and less like Faith and more and more like Danielle.

Faith nodded “Once I became the taller of the two of us, something did switch on inside me. I felt protective of you”

“I stepped out of my sandals and shorts next” Dani said “I remember looking directly in front of me and seeing your chin going up and I was left looking more at your neck and upper chest and your chest was spreading out”

Faith nodded “I looked down and saw the top of your head but I was more interested in my own chest and what was happening to it at that moment. I knew I was bigger” she put her shoulders forward to illustrate “But then my chest started to tingle really bad and then…” she trailed off.

“I watched my boobs grow out on your chest right in front of my eyes while feeling my own disappearing. My gaze would shift up and down between us” Dani told her.

“I couldn’t really see you. I knew you were getting smaller, I could see movement, but my sight was blocked by my own changes” Faith replied.

“Understandable” Dani said “I also still had on my shirt and bra so you wouldn’t have seen anything really outside of them just getting bigger on me while I wasted away beneath them”

“I went from nothing to 36D breasts in the matter of a few seconds” Faith recalled “They just started growing and then kept on going. Bigger, rounder, and every time I thought they were done, they got a little bit bigger; it seemed like every time I took in a breath, they grew!”

“I just remember how empty my bra felt; worthless just hanging off of me with nothing in it” Dani said. My shirt was down to the middle of my thighs like a dress anyway. I had been distracted by my boobs disappearing and I totally missed my arms shrinking down to toothpick skinny little girl arms” She looked across the table “I put my hands up to my bra though and saw that they were so little too. That orange nail polish was on these tiny little nails, it didn’t seem real to me, like there was no way I could possibly have fingers that skinny, that and I remember my watch and bracelet just sliding all over my wrists, barely staying on. I know I could have slipped them off but I made sure I spread my palms out to keep them on”

“I looked down at you and frankly I thought you looked silly at that point. You had this adult face on this skinny little body” Faith said.

“You didn’t look much better in reverse. Little kid face; missing teeth with a woman’s body below it” Dani said.

“I can recall every single change now” Faith said wistfully “I watched your face so intently change from yours to mine. Watching your features shrink and change and you lose your maturity and turn into this little girl. This face I knew so well from my own mirror coming into focus before me; it was mind blowing”

Dani nodded “I watched yours just as fascinated. Watching your immature features grow and change into my own. Seeing my face from a totally different perspective; not like a mirror anymore but an entirely different person from myself. Seeing my whole body presented before me on you; you as me”

“My teeth sliding and shifting inside my mouth gave me the willies” Faith said shivering just thinking about it again. “Baby teeth pulled up and adult ones came down in their place and then everything was just moving on its own. I remember kind of holding my mouth frozen and my teeth apart as they slid all over the place before coming to rest”

Dani nodded.

“I ran my tongue over them so surprised at how uniform they were, then I licked my lips and they felt different too; wider…fuller” Faith said.

“I agree 1000% on how weird it felt changing teeth with you” Dani said. “I hadn’t lost a tooth in so many years. I remember sticking my tongue up into a hole where one was missing; top left as a matter of fact. My teeth felt so small and mismatched and were all over the place. My front teeth were big but had a gap in them”

Dani continued “Next I felt my chin and jaw shrink up. There was a pressure in my mouth and lower part of my face and since I saw your chin come out and round off and your jaw shift down, I knew mine had to be coming up and in”

Faith nodded “I watched your cheeks come up after that and your nose…oh my gosh…that cute little nose looked so right on you as it shrank up on your face”

Dani blushed and looked down for a second before coming back “Your nose grew out and it seemed to take your whole face in the final direction it was going in. It like, set off a chain reaction that widened your whole face; your cheeks went out and your eyes shifted. They narrowed and aged making you look so much more mature and older than me”

“While your eyes grew so big and wide and well, childlike, it was amazing” Faith said. “I can still see your blue eyes darkening as they grew so big changing from blue to brown”

“I remember yours changing literally in the blink of an eye” Dani said. “Your eyes were getting smaller but they were still clearly brown; then you blinked and they were blue” she snapped her fingers. “I took off my glasses and handed them over to you”

Faith nodded “And I so clearly recall what happened next”

Dani nodded a little embarrassed by it still.

“You said in this little high pitched voice ‘You need these now’”

“I was so shocked to hear my voice come out like that” Dani admitted “It scared me!”

“It scared me too!” Faith said “If you sounded like that what was I going to sound like?”

“Well you said ‘Thanks’ sounding like a woman; sounding like me!” Dani said.

“I did need the glasses though, that was for sure. I put them on and saw how red your cheeks were” Faith said.

“I was embarrassed to sound like that; I told you I was in shock hearing that little voice come out of me!” Dani reiterated.

“But that was when I got to see your last changes” Faith said “You got those big ears of mine”

“Which I grew into!” Dani defended herself.

“That you did” Faith agreed. “But when your hair started changing and it pulled back behind them which made them stick out even further, well, my heart just melted seeing you like that”

“I just remember watching a few lines start to etch into your forehead and your hair start to change; it swept around until your part moved, then it settled and moved into my old style” Dani said.

“Yours looked so fine and thin but it was also darker and longer on you” Faith said.

“That was when I finally felt like I took a full breath and said ‘What just happened to us Dani?!’ Dani said.

“I’ll admit my mind was running a million miles a minute right then. I didn’t know what to say. I heard the shakiness in your voice and hearing that voice was throwing me off to begin with and all I could come back with was ‘Um…we just switched bodies Faith. I’m you and you’re me’” Dani said.

“That was when I jumped and split my panties” Faith said.

“You bent down and covered yourself so fast” Dani agreed.

“You then whipped off your clothes and started giving them to me to put on” Faith recalled. “I grabbed your panties and flipped em up and on along with your shorts”

“I just took my shirt and bra off in one motion” Dani said.

“I had to pull your bra out and unhook it before I could put it on” Faith said.

“And I latched it for you when you couldn’t reach it around your back” Dani reminded her.

“It was all new to me!” Faith said laughing. “But I got that shirt on”

“And I ran to the dressers and grabbed whatever I found first” Dani said “I just wanted to get some clothes back on”

“You put on that 101 Dalmatians shirt with Cruella on it and some pink shorts”

“Like I said, whatever I could find” Dani agreed “I asked you what do we do now?”

“And I shook my head and our eyes met…” Faith said.

“And all I remember is being Danielle from that moment on” Dani said.

“Yeah” Faith said. “Everything kind of blacked out and now that I think about it, I shook my head and looked around your room and thought “What just happened?”

“Me too. I knew I brought you up to my room to show you something but then it was fuzzy and then…”

“We exchanged an awkward look and went back downstairs” Faith said. “You opened your presents, we had cake and everybody talked”

“But we had already forgotten switching bodies” Dani said. “Our minds swapped totally in that staring contest; something really switched us then and we started living life as the other”

“And now it’s been 15 years” Faith said.

“I can’t believe this” Dani said “I’ve been living your life. I’m supposed to be 45 year old, not a 25 year old”

“And I’ve been living yours!” Faith said. “I wanted adulthood and wished for it and I got it”

“And I lived a second childhood; one that I guess I took from you” Dani said. “I grew up; went through puberty in this body; dated, went to High School and college…got engaged…”

“You had no idea. I had no idea. We lived our lives as presented to us. We forgot we switched!” Faith said.

“You had two kids with my body” Dani said.

“But the more important question is the one I asked originally; why are we remembering it now?” Faith said.

“Maybe it was just time” Dani said adjusting her white blouse “Maybe enough time has passed that we can accept now” she said hopefully.

“I don’t know” Faith replied a bit more skeptically as she swung her feet back and forth under the table. “I should be over there in that smart looking business outfit” she thought “I’m Dani! But I’ve lived so long as Faith, that I’m her too. I was 10 the last time I was in that body; I don’t know her life; I don’t know how to even be her anymore”

Dani looked across the table at her true self “I’m supposed to be over there. I’m Faith” She reached out for her drink; her mouth had gone dry and took a sip.

“We’ve got to get out of here!” she said in total panic urgency.

“What? Why?” Faith said but she was already moving.

“Because my drink just changed to Diet Coke” Dani said. She hopped to her feet, threw a couple 20’s on the table and rushed out of the café.

Luckily, it was attached to the hotel Faith was staying in and they rushed through the lobby to the elevators.

“What floor are you on?” Dani asked. She put her foot out; heel down, toes up as her shoe bulged slightly at the sides. The very little toe cleavage she always had was gone and her foot looked wider and paler in the black heel.

“Third” Faith said fidgeting nervously as the elevator climbed up. She already had her key card out “Go left” she said as they exited and dashed to the room.

Faith’s left foot slipped out of her tan flat as she pivoted for the door. Just getting a glimpse, she saw her foot was thinner and narrower and her toes were long and skinny before she put her foot back in and opened the door.

They staggered through the door, both of them wearing matching looks of shock. “Oh Shit” Dani said running her hands through her hair “It’s already started!”

“I guess we know why we remembered it” Faith said “It was coming to an end and we’re changing bodies with each other again” She looked down and back up quickly “I’m growing aren’t I?”

Dani nodded.

“It feels weird” she shivered, shaking her shoulders as she began to rise up taller.

Dani reached down and took her heels off, freeing her feet from what were now tight fitting shoes and surprising herself at the sight of her wider feet and shorter toes. She wiggled them as red nail polish appeared on them “I don’t…I can’t…it’s been 15 years since I’ve seen these” she struggled to put into words her feelings as she began to switch back to her original body.

“You were just a little girl when I got this body and now…” Dani said.

“I get back a woman’s body in return” Faith said. She was still growing taller as Dani began to shrink down.

“5 inch difference reversing” Faith said “It’s going to be weird being taller; I’m so used to 5’1”

“Well get used to 5’6” Dani replied “I’m the short one here now” she said as they even up in height “My skirt’s starting to get tight” she remarked looking down and by the time she looked back up, she gasped; Faith was taller than her.

Dani felt her legs bulge outward. She unzipped her skirt and dropped it off, quickly side stepping out of it. Her thin and trim legs were plumping up and rounding off. They were well muscled but also much larger, especially in the thighs. As her legs were growing and shrinking at the same time and changing, she was unbuttoning her blouse.

She took it off as well and unhooked her bra but left it hanging over her small breasts. She undid the bobby pins from her hair letting it fall over her shoulders loose.

Faith got the message and even though she knew she was in no danger of ripping out of her clothes, she was getting taller but everything else on her would be shrinking, she too began to undress.

She took off her green top and tan skirt in a few quick motions “Should we…?” she pointed to her bra and panties.

“Might as well” Dani answered. She did a quick shrug of her shoulders to dislodge her bra and did a dancing wiggle to get her panties down over her expanding thighs. “Thunder thighs are back” she said. Her calves were thicker as well but hard and firm like she remembered.

Faith’s legs were longer and now they were getting skinnier. Her calves came up and in and her thighs began to melt away. The soft inner parts toned up and the bottom curve lifted as she took off her panties and bra and handed them over.

Faith was shaved but she noticed Dani was not, she had some hair on top in her quick glance but refused to linger “It’ll be mine soon enough” she thought.

Dani put on the larger panties easily over her thighs and just in time for her hips and ass to begin moving outward. The panties weren’t loose for very long. She felt her ass checks growing larger and fuller behind her, coming in contact with the fabric and eventually pulling it taut. Her hips shifted outward, lifting the nude colored underwear up.

Dani jerked suddenly and blushed. She looked down and then back up to Faith were they both burst out laughing.

“Dang…that’s weird” Dani said feeling everything shift and slide, making a face and blushing.

Faith pulled the small underwear up over her still thinning and tanning legs. It was a snug fit at first but almost immediately, she felt them get more comfortable as her ass and hips shrank and narrowed “Oh My Gosh…I feel so skinny” she said “Just having legs like this…” she rose up on her toes and clicked her heels and ankles together.

Dani smiled despite herself “It is your body after all” she admitted.

“Look…I had no idea” Faith said lowering back down.

“Neither one of us did” Dani said smiling reassuringly “We’re going back to what we had; what we’re supposed to have” She looked down at her thick thighs “This is what I remember. Don’t think I don’t know what this body is…I had it for 30 years. You’re the one piloting a ship you haven’t had before. You had that body in little kid form. Now you get to be a woman with it”

Faith nodded; a sudden uplift made her rise up again and show a face of surprise “Ooo!” she cried out and clamped her hands on her tightening butt, feeling the flesh crawl up and in, lifting into a tight round ball.

Her hips slid in causing her to “Ooo!” again.

“You know…you saying that like that proves you’re already changing into…me…yourself…” Dani said. “Faith would never make that noise and you know it”

Faith did know it “No, I never say ‘Ooo!’ and I never do some these other actions and movements that I’m now feeling compelled to do. My inner Dani is coming back out”

Faith’s hands went forward and down before she even could think about it as pubic hairs popped out causing an itch she had to attack. She stopped just short and looked down blushing as a vibration ran down her spine to her fingertips and toes. “Whoa” was all she said.

Faith’s stomach let out a growl and began to pull in along with her waist as Dani’s growled as well. “Was that noise coming from you or me?” Faith asked.

“Both” Dani said succinctly putting her hands to her stomach as it puffed outward.

“What can I say…two kids do not help out your belly” Faith said.

“No, I get it…I felt it when we…you know…” she pointed lower “Something just felt so different down there and I just knew” Dani took the large bra and put it over her still narrow shoulders. Her current 34B breasts came nowhere near filling up the 38D bra but she knew it wouldn’t be long. “How’s you back feel with these?”

“Not as bad as you think” Faith replied. “This is going to be a huge adjustment”

“I see what you did there” Dani said.

“Ha ha…no, really…not having big boobs is going to be weird for me” Faith said “I’ve just gotten so used to having these in my way all the time” She put the small bra on over her shoulders but didn’t even try to hook it in the back “This looks ridiculous”

“Not for long” Dani said “I’m already feeling some spreading and building going on in here” she pointed to her chest.

Faith leaned forward and saw that Dani’s breasts were definitely growing. They were getting larger and rounder on her chest.

“Whoa” Dani said “My turn to say it…” she put her hands to the bottom of her bra and felt the weight and mass build up in them. She smiled “That tickles” she remarked when they came into contact with the cup and began to truly fill them out to capacity.

Faith watched them grow for a second before she felt a cool breeze quiver her breasts. She gave them a quick squeeze but they were very sensitive while in the middle of transforming and it sent a shiver down her spine that made her bend over laughing. “Oh God that’s sensitive!” she said before straightening back up.

Dani ran her hands over and around, a look of light amazement on her face “Look at these…I’m huge!” she said pushing them together and up “I could suffocate someone in these!”

“Ha-Ha not quite” Faith replied feeling her sides pull in and her shoulders tuck back. She shook her arms out loosely as her upper arms trimmed down. She played her fingers out and watched them grow longer and turn quite skinny. Her nails grew out longer but remained free of polish.

Dani was holding her right hand up close to her face as her fingers pulled down and thickened. Additional lines creased the backs and her nails came down much closer in cut. “Wow” she waved them a bit and let her eyes trace back her fuller and shorter arms.

They stood facing each other “Just like last time…we get to watch the other ones face change”

“But hopefully it won’t feel so weird when we switch mouths this time” Dani said. She looked up as Faith’s round face began to elongate out to more oval shaped as her chin and jaw came up. Her hair began to grow out longer and thinner.

Dani watched the face she thought was hers appear before her, returning to the real and rightful Danielle. Faith’s lips thinned but widened and her teeth spread out inside her wider mouth “That was weird but not as weird as I remembered the first time” Faith said.

She smiled down as Dani’s face became rounder and fuller. Her sleek cheeks puffed up and out as her chin rounded and her jaw came down. Her lips plumped but narrowed; lines etched in the corners as her teeth shrank and sat closer together.

Dani’s nose shrank and pulled up as it changed back to her original small Faith shaped nose. Her eyes narrowed and as she blinked, they lightened from brown to blue. She put her hand out and Faith just smiled knowing what she had to do and say.

Faith’s eyes were widening and darkening from blue to brown. Her nose pulled down and broadened. She took the glasses off her face and handed them over “You need these now more than I do” she said, her voice pitched higher; Dani’s voice coming from Dani’s mouth.

“Not quite as shocking as when I told you that in my little girl voice” Dani replied in a much deeper voice; Faith’s voice coming from her once more.

Her ears pulled in closer, her forehead came down as her hair rose up into Faith’s short hairdo.

Faith’s ears came out larger but her hair grew over and past, covering them up as her forehead spread out wider and smoother. She reached up and undid her gold hoop earrings as she felt the final small details change on her. With a quick shiver, she knew she was Dani again.

Dani peered through her glasses and watched as Faith changed into her. It was the mirror effect again but so different this time. She felt a few things still moving on her as she stood still but soon enough, she shivered and knew she was done. She was Faith again fully in body.

She took out her pearl earrings and they exchanged them and put in their new accessories. Dani also took off her necklace and engagement ring, which had become quite tight on her thicker finger and handed them over.

Faith slid the ring easily down on her finger and removed her wedding band and own engagement ring from her other hand and gave them over. She put the necklace on and it just felt right against her upper chest. She looked around and took the white blouse off the bed and put in on, quickly buttoning it up.

Dani took the green top and slipped it on over her head. She stepped into the tan skirt and zipped it up as she slid her feet into the well-worn pair of tan flats.

By the time she turned around, Faith had the black skirt on and was pulling her hair up, holding extra bobby pins in her lips as she did it. Faith fluffed out her hair and found her black heels, slipping her thin feet into them and feeling them fit perfectly.

They looked at each other and just as Faith was about to say “What now?” they blacked out.

 

Danielle Richards blinked her eyes; she was in her cousin Faith’s hotel room but she didn’t remember why. They had met for lunch and had talked and talked “Why did we come up to her room?” she thought.

Faith Conway blinked her eyes; she was in her hotel room with her cousin Danielle. She was so excited to get a chance to catch up with her young and successful cousin while she was in town on business, but why had they come up to her room “I can’t remember why I needed to come up her…getting old sucks” she thought.

“Hey, it was so much fun getting to have lunch with you Faith” Dani said “But I need to get back to my office; I’ve got a meeting with a Christian Video company this afternoon and I really can’t be late”

“Oh of course! I need to get back to the convention. I’m signed up for a workshop in 20 minutes” Faith replied.

They took the elevator down and hugged and said goodbye in the lobby. “I want you to come home for Christmas again” Faith told Dani before she left.

“I wouldn’t miss it” Dani told her.

“It’s at your Mom and Dad’s this year…you need to see what they did to your old room; it looks awesome”

“You’ll have to show me” Dani replied. “I can’t wait to go back again”
