“For my next trick I will need a couple from the audience” The Amazing Bob said as he looked out into the crowd “Any husbands taking their wife out for a night of magic out there tonight?”

“Come on Honey, It’ll be fun” Olivia Hudson whispered to her husband David.

“I really don’t want to…” David began.

“Oh, don’t be such a killjoy” Olivia said as her hand began to rise up.

“I see a hand up over here” The Amazing Bob said “Please come up onto the stage you two”

Olivia got up and had to elbow David to get him moving but he did stand up and head for the stage with her.

“Please come over to the middle of the stage you two and if you would sir, please come over to my right while your wife stays to my left” The Amazing Bob said as they followed his first instruction.

“And what are your names?” he said leaning his microphone toward Olivia.

“I’m Olivia and this is my husband David” she said.

“Well first of all thank you for volunteering tonight…it would have been a bad trick if I had to do this myself” The Amazing Bob waited for laughter that never came. “So how long have you two been married?” he asked David.

“Um…just over a year” David replied.

“Ah Newlyweds…I bet there’s still a lot that you don’t know about your wife, Huh” he said.
David nodded and answered “Uh sure, I guess”

“And I bet there are things that you still wonder you wish you knew about your husband Olivia?” he asked her.

“Sure, I guess so” she replied.

“Do you ever sometimes wonder just what is going on inside that body and mind over there?” he asked David.

“Yeah, uh, sure” David replied.

“And how about you Olivia…ever wonder what’s going on with David?”

“Yeah” she answered with a skeptical nod.

“So do you know the best way to get to really understand your spouse… to really know what makes them tick…to really get inside them?” The Amazing Bob asked them both.

They both shock their heads.

“Why the best way to understand your spouse” he paused for dramatic effect “Is to become your spouse” He smiled broadly to the crowd. “Tonight I am going to switch your bodies with the other…tonight David will become Olivia and Olivia will become David”

A spattering of applause came out of the audience as David began to protest “Uh…I don’t think I want to…”

“Ah, now David don’t worry…it’s painless…all you have to do is stand still and I will take care of the rest. Really, this is like my wedding present to you. What better gift could you receive than to truly understand your wife?” The Amazing Bob said. “Are you ready Olivia?”

Olivia had a slightly worried look on her face but figured that it was just going to be a magic trick where some mirrors reflected them on to the other person so she smiled and said “Sure…why not”

David’s mouth dropped open “Olivia!”

“Oh come on Dave…I’m sure it’s just some magic trick with smoke and mirrors…honestly, stop being so damned boring”

“Oh” The Amazing Bob said. “See…you two could use some time in the other’s body”

The Amazing Bob pulled two canes out of his sleeves and placed them on the ground in front of their feet.

He looked them up and down taking in their outfits and bodies. David was around 6 feet tall, several inches taller than his wife and was wearing a rust colored button down shirt, tan pants and brown wingtip shoes.

Olivia was 5’4” with blonde hair that came down to her shoulders and bangs over her forehead. She wore a light purple dress that came to her knees and tan heels.

With a wiggle of his fingers, The Amazing Bob began to levitate the canes in front of the couple. As the canes barely lifted off the ground, the tips of their shoes both began to change color, shape, size and most important, content. The very tips of Olivia’s heels showed a dark brown as David’s shoes became lighter and started to come to a point.

The canes lifted slightly higher and David now peered down and saw that his shoes were changing color and shape and becoming his wife’s heels. His mouth dropped as the cane passed the point where his feet became visible. He was no longer wearing socks and flesh became apparent. He saw toe cleavage and he felt his heels start to rise off the floor. His heels lifted up as the backs of his shoes became a pair of tan 3” heels. He looked over to Olivia and thought “I’m even taller than her” before he looked down and saw that she now was wearing his shoes.

Olivia felt herself lowering down immediately and even as her feet and shoes grew bigger, she had a sense of shrinking as she lowered down into her husband’s dress shoes. She could feel socks covering her toes at first, followed by her feet up to her ankles where the canes had stopped. She looked down and her mouth now dropped open in shock to match David’s expression.

The Amazing Bob pulled his arms back and the canes flew into his hands “Just the beginning folks, but take a good look”

David turned his right foot outward and pointed the left one out in shock.

“David…could you please take off one of your lovely heels and please examine your foot?” He asked the shell shocked man.

David simply nodded and slipped his right foot out of the tan heel. Red painted toenails and a small feminine foot emerged from the shoe and he placed it flat on the ground.

“Now David…do you recognize that foot?” The Amazing Bob said to him.

David nodded.

“And whose foot is that?”

“Um…it’s my wife’s foot” David said.

“Now Olivia if you would please examine David’s foot…does that foot look familiar to you?”

“Oh my God David…you have my foot…my feet! How are you doing this?” Olivia asked.

“Magic” The Amazing Bob replied. “Now David if you would be so kind as to just pull your pant leg up a bit so we can see that the changes have definitely stopped at your ankles”
David did as he was instructed and showed off his hairy leg and hairless ankle to the crowd.

“Now if you would please step back into the shoe and stand back where you had been…Thank You” The Amazing Bob said as David slipped his foot back into the heel and stepped back.
David and Olivia exchanged an amazed glance between them before the canes flew back and hovered at their ankles.

The Amazing Bob placed his palms upward and gave another lifting gesture and the canes began to rise once again.

David felt a slight breeze on his lower legs. As the cane rose up, his pants disappeared, revealing smooth and shapely calves in their wake.

As Olivia’s cane rose she felt a covering sensation. Socks continued to come upward over her ankles and shins and as pants began to form, it looked to her as if the fabric was simply floating effortlessly in mid-air and yet coming closer to her eyes. As the cane reached her knees and the bottom of her skirt, the pant legs attached and her dress began to reform itself into her husband’s tan pants. She let out a quick “Uh” when that happened.

As David’s cane reached his knees, he leaned out and looked down at his lower legs and he saw Olivia’s legs beneath him. He stood back up and looked at his wife “This is really happening Liv” he said in a rising voice of slight panic.

“I know David…I know” she replied.

Just as David’s pant bottoms opened up and became a single opening and began to change to a light purple, The Amazing Bob halted the canes.

“Now before we go much farther” he said “I must assure you that as I get to that section there” he said gesturing to just above the canes “The transition will be painless…but still a bit jarring, if you catch my drift” he finished with a wink.

He began to move the canes further up their legs. David could feel his thighs filling out and changing shape beneath the now thin and billowy fabric of his dress bottom.

Olivia couldn’t see the changes around her now higher pants but could feel her legs changing as well. More and more of her dress was disappearing and the thought of what was about to happen suddenly hit her. Her eyes widened and she said “I’m not ready to be a man! “

“Oh…don’t worry…I’ll go fast…it’ll be like pulling off a Band-Aid” as the canes reached the tops of their thighs.

Dan’s eyes shut tightly and he gritted his teeth before he heard The Amazing Bob say “You two can look now”

Dan opened his eyes and saw the magician in front of him holding the two canes in his hands and nodding at him.

Dan looked down and let out a surprised “AH”

From the waist down, he was Olivia. He saw the purple dress that seemed to come directly out of his rust orange shirt over hips that were slung outward. His hands instinctively went to his hips and he felt a curve that he had never experienced before. His hands next groped backwards and he felt a more ample bottom and he cocked his head over his shoulder to try and see that Olivia’s ass was now his.

His hands then flew to the front and he patted and tried to grasp whatever he could, but only came up with fabric after his finger quickly brushed over his relatively flat pubic area. His knees came together instantly and he ducked down a bit with his thighs clamped together.

Olivia meanwhile was experiencing her own culture shock as her hands tried to cover up an obvious massive erection poking out of her tan pants. Her hands tried to cover the bulge but the more they touched it, the more it throbbed and pulsated beneath her touch. With David’s legs, she was taller than before but still slightly shorter than her husband due to his high heels. She looked at him and said “How do you control this thing?”

Olivia took a stumbling step forward on her thicker legs. Her hands went to her sides and felt along her narrower male hips that were throwing off her walk. “But If I have your…than you have my…” as she patted herself again.

David’s eyes pleaded with her as he nodded his situation. His hands still patted his thighs and pubic area as he managed to say a weak “Uh-huh”

Olivia’s hands traced over David’s belt at her waist. Her purple dress looked like a simple purple top now that she was wearing pants. “How is this real?” she said in disbelief.

The Amazing Bob shook his head once more and said “Magic my dear…um…ma’am…sir” he finished with a confused shrug of his shoulders.

“What are you going to do about this” Olivia said loudly.

“Oh…that I do know…” The Amazing Bob launched his hands forward and the canes went to their waists where he again flipped his hands upward and began a lifting motion.

David’s stomach came in as his shirt changed color and texture. He felt his ribs come inward and since his hands were resting at his sides, they too were changed by the lifting cane. He saw fingernail polish appear on smaller and rounder fingers as his hands became Olivia’s hands.

The changes moved upward on their arms and torsos. Olivia’s stomach and waist came out and an orange color began to creep up her top. Her hands now grew larger and turned into David’s hands. Her arms were becoming encased in sleeves that started at her wrists as the cane moved upward.

As the canes and their changes reached the bottom of Olivia’s breasts, The Amazing Bob paused again. He turned to the audience and asked “Who’s ready for this one” and was greeted by applause and a few hoots.

He dramatically waved his hands making the canes shiver in place before they popped up about six inches in a swift motion. “TA-DA” he said.

David gasped as he felt a sudden weight crash on his chest and he lurched forward as Olivia’s breasts appeared on his body, a body that was increasingly Olivia’s. His shirt split into Olivia’s dress style and his cleavage was on full view to the crowd. David brought his wife’s hands up and grasped his newfound assets. He squeezed them with a wonderment that consumed his mind briefly; until he looked to his side and saw Olivia staring gap-jawed at him.

Olivia had straightened up as the cane took her breasts and gave them to David. She gasped at the disappearance and her hands flew upward and hit a flat chest and an orange shirt.

The Amazing Bob moved the canes up a bit more until their chests and shoulders had swapped.

David looked down to see a female body, his wife’s body below him. It was a body he knew and was familiar with, but he was about to become even more familiar with it.

Olivia looked over and realized that she was now taller than her husband as they switched bodies. Even with his three inch heels, she still stood several inches taller now and she looked down at him. It looked rather absurd to see her husband’s bearded face on her body next to her and she realized that she must look just as ridiculous with her head on his body.

“One last little bit for right now” The Amazing Bob said as he scooched the canes up and over their necks before he pulled the canes back to his hands.

“Olivia” David began before clamping his hand over his mouth and bulging out his eyes. The voice that had come out of his mouth had been Olivia’s higher pitched female voice instead of his own.

Olivia looked over at the sound and she was suddenly afraid to open her own mouth.
“Go ahead Olivia…say something for us” The Amazing Bob prodded.

She shook her head back and forth with her lips clamped tightly. “Come on…we want to hear you”

“I don’t want to” she finally said. Her hands flew upward now too and covered her mouth at the deep voice that emanated from within her.  Her hand rode down her throat and she paused as it hit a bump now with her Adam’s apple sticking out.

“Now comes the tricky part” the amazing Bob said.

He lifted the canes over their heads and they rested, suspended, a few inches over them.
The Amazing Bob walked up to them and tapped the canes and they slowly began to drift downward.

David lifted his eyes and watched as the cane slowly worked its way down. He felt a slight tickle at the top of his head as it broke the plane of his body. His hair turned blonde at the top and began to grow out. As he lifted his eyes he saw bangs growing down over his forehead and they came into his line of vision. His eyebrows lifted as he watched and they thinned as the shadow of the cane passed over the area.

David now looked straight ahead as the cane passed his eyes. In a blink, his eyes turned from brown to blue and his eyelashes fluffed out. The top of his nose began to shift as did his ears.

David’s head dipped slightly as he followed the cane downward. His nose transformed into Olivia’s as did his cheeks as they rose up. Looking down he saw his moustache disappear and his upper lip puff outward. The cane came down to his chin taking his beard off and reshaping his chin and jaw into Olivia’s. He felt hair brushing the backs of his ears and his neck as it fell in a cascade to his shoulders and David was now Olivia.

Olivia also craned her eyes upward as the cane began to move. Her hair changed from blonde to brown at the top of her head and began to pull upward. Her bangs disappeared, exposing a wider forehead and a thicker brow line before her blue eyes flashed brown. Her nose grew larger as the cane descended and her ears pulled outward. As the cane reached her mouth she saw hair sprout out over her upper lip and across her cheeks and chin and jaw. As her facial hair increased; the hair on her head pulled back and inward to become David’s hair.

As the cane paused at her chin, Olivia brought her hands up and she ran them over her rougher cheeks and she stroked her beard before dropping her hands once more. Olivia had become David.

The Amazing Bob then grabbed the hovering canes out of mid-air and gave them a flourish. “Give these two a big hand”

As applause rang out from the crowd Olivia blurted out “What are we supposed to do now…you can’t just leave us like this”

David crossed his arms in front of his breasts and quickly agreed “Yeah…you have to fix this…I’m not a woman”

The Amazing Bob put his hands out to quiet the crowd. “We have a request from these two to fix this situation and I’ll tell you that I do have a solution for them” He turned to them and walked closer to them. “I’ll tell you what I’m going to do for you two; One, Two, Three…Sleep” he said and with a click of his fingers both of them dropped their chins down to their chests.

The Amazing Bob now turned to the audience and said “When I say the word Now and clap my hands, you will wake up in your new bodies that you will treat as if they have always been your bodies. David you will be Olivia. You will have always been Olivia yet you will still be able to understand and predict and know everything that David is doing and thinking. Olivia…this goes for you too. When I say the word, you will be David and you will think that you have always been David. You will know what David knows and you will know what Olivia is thinking and where she is coming from at all times, okay”

The Amazing Bob gestured to the crowd “How would you folks like to meet this couple right…Now” and he clapped his hands.

Olivia’s head popped up and she smiled. She smoothed out her dress and blushed slightly, wondering if she had done anything embarrassing.

David’s head also rose up and he gave it a healthy shake as he exhaled heavily. He looked down at himself and ran his hands over his orange shirt.

“How do you feel Olivia?” The Amazing Bob asked.

“I feel fine” she said.

“Do you feel like you and your husband truly know each other and understand each other?”

Olivia paused and tilted her head “Yeah…I think we do” she said as she smiled.

“Great…you two have been great tonight haven’t they audience?” The Amazing Bob said as David and Olivia began to walk off stage and back to their seats.

“I wonder what we did that was so great” David said as he sat back down in his seat.

You’ve been a great crowd and I hope you’ve all enjoyed the show” the Amazing Bob said as he took a bow in David and Olivia’s direction. He pointed at them as he walked off the stage.

David and Olivia stood up and continued applauding as he exited.
