Time is the one thing we currently have in excess, but it still doesn’t seem worth wasting the reader’s time with a description of the entity’s appearance when it is ubiquitous on any Christmas card or advertisement at this time of year. Fat, red, and jolly. Regarding its internal anatomy, that was observed only once and consisted of loose cartilaginous structures and organ clusters, partially explaining the entity’s ability to contort itself within the tightest of chimneys and expand its thoracic chamber to prodigious size while “chortling.”

It is a sapient, gift-granting anomaly. Prior to its 2007 destruction, it was singularly responsible for the creation of so many anomalous items as to receive its own containment class. Any officer working January overtime would recall what a pain in the ass it was to do clean-up after. However, the relative benignity, if not benevolence, of its creations allowed it to continue unimpeded by the TFPD.

On 21 June 2007, a US government agency, The [REDACTED] Of [REDACTED], under guidance from an economic think tank, attempted to discorporate the entity. Though this resulted in partial melting of the Arctic ice sheet and triggered a global financial collapse through unknown mechanisms, its destruction was thought successful and permanent.

Three seconds ago, real time, at 00:00 on 25 December 2025, the entity remanifested, more active than we’ve ever seen it before. From what little we’ve been able to gather, it appears to be frenetically working through an eighteen-year backlog and has begun entering the homes of individuals in the 18-to-30 age range. It is unclear if its mind was damaged in its death or if it is simply incapable of comprehending the whims and wants of an adult mind. Needless to say, its actions are no longer benign, as it has, in some cases, mutilated the recipient or their family, perhaps to fit some subconscious desire. In other cases, individuals have been abducted from their beds entirely sometimes returned, altered, to fit the whims or fetishes of others.
