Blergh, this came out looking awful, but it's another one of those attempts where eventually I just ran out of time, especially with DA blocking yesterday's submission.

It's intended to add a bit of background to the previous Daylight Rubbery caption from a while back. Really struggle making spider-like taurs though:

OVERVIEW

'Rubberachnid' is the provisional designation assigned to the cryptid currently contained in Cell 57-A and undergoing controlled analysis via the introduction of D-Class personnel. It is a taur-like arachnid with eight segmented arachnid limbs supporting a humanoid female upper body.

The entity demonstrates both humanoid intelligence and animalistic, predatory behavior, immobilizing its victims with a high-pressure jet of an unknown rubber-like fluid, expelled either from the mouth or from rear spinnerets, encasing its prey as a spider might wrap a fly in silk.

Contact with this latex-like fluid on exposed skin or flesh causes rapid vulcanisation of all organic tissue. Once fully encased and transmuted, victims exhibit high malleability, and the creature is seemingly able to reshape the victim’s rubber body into any form it desires. Victims remain alive and aware during transformation, and require neither oxygen nor sustenance.

A search of the entity’s lair recovered dozens of humanoid 'dolls' resembling missing persons, as well as rubber objects and garments currently being tested for signs of residual consciousness. It is unknown whether these are stored for future feeding, practical use, or personal pleasure.

SENTIENCE & PERSONALITY

The Rubberachnid has shown complete disinterest in all female D-Class personnel introduced to the containment chamber. More interestingly, the female D-Class personnel have shown equal disinterest in its presence, responding as they would to a normal human female, despite its appearance.

In contrast, all male personnel have responded with rational terror. The Rubberachnid appears to exude a perception filter affecting all except its intended targets.

CONTAINMENT

It is unclear whether the entity is a singular cryptid or one of many. In the event of multiple entities, male personnel should be deployed due to the inability of female personnel to perceive it fully.

Full body armor is advised.
